Mouse pointer position while using PPR

Hello All,
I have a PPR section in a custom page and what happens in the PPR region is, there is with a button click new Search Fields are added dynamically. The requirement is to highlight the mouse pointer in newly added Search Text fields. I am not that familiar with OAF so any help is very much appreciated.
Thanks

on PPR event, set the cursor on newly added field using below code:
import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.OABodyBean;
OABodyBean oabean = (OABodyBean)pageContext.getRootWebBean();
oabean.setInitialFocusId("<itemId>");

  • Mouse pointer position at start up

    I know this may seem beyond lazy but...
    Is there any way to change the mouse pointer position at startup? I would much prefer it to be in the middle of the screen rather than way in the topleft corner.
    One other question: I still think window minimize/maximize/close buttons (not sure what you would call them) that are on top left for apple and top right for PC are more conveniently located on the right side (and there really aren't many things I could honestly say I prefer about PC). May be it's just me but my pointer spends most of its time on the bottom and right side of the screen. Is there a way to change the position of the buttons?
    Sorry if this has been addressed before but I couldn't find it.

    The short answer to both of your questions is no.
    However, you may be able to use some sort of theme software that will allow you to change the position of the buttons by changing the appearance of the windows. There are, from what I understand, hundreds of themes that you can try. Maybe one of them will put the buttons on the other side of the window. You might check out Shape Shifter.
    http://www.unsanity.com/haxies/shapeshifter
    One caveat, Shape shifter is a system hack and as such may add some instability to the system.
    As for the position of the cursor I don't really know unless you can find some sort of third party program that will do it. You might take a look at Version Tracker and see if there is something there.

    Unable to change reference point location while using the Transform Functions in Photoshop Elements 6.0.

    Which operating system are you using?
    In photoshop elements 6, as far as i know, you can only change the Reference Point Location for transforms using the small grid in the left hand corner of the tool options bar with Transform enabled.

  • Mouse randomly jumping while using most tools in Photoshop CS4 and CS5.

    Hi,
    I have recently been using my photoshop cs5 when all of a sudden the mouse has began to jump and move randomly when I am using some of the tools. For example, when I use the eraser tool it will not always, but frequently erase something in a random position on the page, and this is becoming a pain as I can be editing something zoomed right in and zoom out to find random areas of my drawing gone which can be very frustrating, but this problem is not restricted to the eraser tool, when I transform shapes with the transform tool occassional it will stretch the shape 4000pixels wide when I only go to increase it by 5, or when i try to move it, it just disappears and I find it outside of the drawing canvas.
    This is really causing alot of issues for me, so how can I resolve this issue?
    Thanks,
    Ben.

    Ok I am going to toss some thing out, they may sound silly or redundant but these are things we simply do not know that could cause issues.
    What type of mouse pad do you have?
    Highly reflective or worn smooth mouse pads or using desktop surfaces rather then a mouse pad can cause light distortion and cause jumppy behavior uneven survaces or highly reflective survfaces are bad too. the same can be said about overly light absorbent surfaces. as they can spread the light. Like if you are like me and have a wide arm cloth chair, you still need a mouse pad on the arm of the chair or your mouse pointer will jump as it travels accross the uneven surface.
    Do you have any other usb devices installed?
    Are you plugged into a USB hub and not the computer directly?
    Is it possable its your keyboard thats causing the issue. Unplug the KB then see if the mouse still jumps.
    let me know if any of this helpped.

  • Mouse Pointer Position Hotkeys

    I wall start by saying, as far as all this scripting goes. I only know that it's called scripting.
    That being said. Here is what I need : A way to toggle the ability to snap my mouse pointer to predefined coordinates on the screen by pressing a button. At least up to 8 positions. Use of the Num pad would be optimal.
    If anyone can point me in the right direction or, if i'm lucky, just hook me up. I'd be greatful.
    Thank you in advance...   TheEnemy  (It's just a name)

    Snipping is not part of scripting as are snooping or sniping.
    What you are asking is something that aged programmers have been trying to accommplish for decades.  It is the holey-canoli grail of computing.  Ever since the first mouse was invented we have been trying to acommplish that feat.  Unfortunately
    the lowly mouse is way too wild and undisciplined to get him to behave in such  a way.
    I would recommend hiring what we call a "mouse butler".  This fellow will place your mouse wherever you like and do so very cautiously.
    Short of that, what you ask cannot be done.
    ============
    =============
    Seriously now, this is a forum for technicians who use scripting to administer computers.  There is no need to move mouses on the screen. Windows does not let us operate the mouse remotely or from a batch file.  What you are asking is technically
    impossible with a script without special external software.
    If you are looking to automate a game then I recommend posting in a gaming forum as some gamers have some pretty cool tools.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Mouse pointer keeps disappearing using trackpad

    hey guys ive just purchased my mac min  and my mouse pointer keeps on disapearing any ideas?

    Thanks Linda but I'm not using a wireless mouse - or a USB hub. The issue occurs if the mouse is plugged into the apple keyboard or directly into the Macbook Pro.
    BTW, if I switch to other open apps or to the Finder the mouse appears - but disappears when switching back to Fireworks.
    This is a really frustrating issue as I can't use CS5 - any other ideas?
    Cheers

  • Mouse pointer disappears after using the magnifying glass in the color picker

    Hello,
    I've a problem (one more) with Lion on a Mac mini 2010. Every time I select a color from the screen using the magnifying glass in the color picker, the mouse pointer disappears. I've to move the mouse to the top of the screen and try to click the bar menu. If I succeed, I get the pointer back.
    Someone with the same problem?
    Thanks for reading

    I've found a partial solution: The probem doesn't affect to a new fresh user, so you can backup your data, create a new temporary (admin) user, delete the original account and create it again with the same name (to avoid file permission troubles). Remember to backup your data or it will be lost.

  • Mouse keeps locking while using keyboard

    I got a brand new Lenovo Essencisal G470 series notebook and its AWESOME! However I am a huge gamer, and for some reason while typing (or hitting any key) my mouse locks up for a couple seconds. Which, in any First person Shooter case, is crazy annoying... Is there any way of disabling this?
    -Thanks

    hey akmk
    uninstall the current touchpad driver that is installed. let windows install its generic drivers.
    see if this makes any difference, then go here : http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_list.aspx?CategoryID=792128
    install the touchpad driver from the link above and see if this makes any difference.

  • Mouse pointer snap range

    Can anyone advise if I can change the snap range (number of screen pixels around a graphics point) for the mouse pointer. I use a CAD program and need to increase the area on screen that the mouse pointer uses to pick up points etc. With the increased screen
    resolution the area (number of pixels) that the mouse pointer needs to be in to find a point gets smaller all the time and there is no provision in the software to increase the target area pixels.
    Regards
    Mark

    Hi Mark
    As I know,CAD programs should have related settings in options Dialog Box. You should be able to set the display size for the object snap target box in pixels. You could contact with program manufacturers check on this.
    This kind of settings might not come with Winodws, Windows provide basic driver for devices, Manufacturers might offer advanced driver program for their products. You also could download these program to modify these settings such as DPI.
    We suggest you modify these settings in your CAD program so it can only affect the usage in CAD.

  • How Do I Hide Mouse Pointer While Typing In Firefox

    Only in firefox, and only recently am I having problems typing anything through firefox, as the slightest touch of my laptops touch pad causes the mouse pointer to jump along with my typing cursor. This is causing major issues as I conduct all y business emails through firefox. If this cant be helped I will have to start using Internet Explorer Again. EVERY other program I use auto hides the mouse while typing, Except FF....
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == Not sure, but I believe a week or so ago

    I have had the same problem despite having Hide Pointer When Typing checked in Mouse Properties. Damn annoying. I thought I finally found a solution with a free utility called "Park Cursor Aside" at http://www.makeuseof.com/dir/parkcursoraside-hide-mouse-cursor-when-typing/.
    Works great in Chrome and everywhere else EXCEPT Firefox. How about it Mozilla, are you are giving me another reason to switch over to Chrome? Please fix this. Thank you.

  • Changing mouse pointer using setCursor()

    Hi- I've got a single threaded JFrame-based application in which I want to change the mouse pointer to indicate 'busy' when it's doing stuff eg. loading a file. So within my extended JFrame method for handling menu selections I've got:
    public class Layout extends JFrame
        // For items in the main menu
        // (the sub-class contains either a JMenuItem or JCheckBoxMenuItem).
        abstract class MenuItem implements ActionListener
            abstract JMenuItem menuItemAbs(); // get the menu item component
            abstract void handlerAbs(); // perform the menu's action
            // Menu item has been selected.
            public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e)
                Cursor cursor = Layout.this.getCursor();
                Layout.this.setCursor(Cursor.getPredefinedCursor(Cursor.WAIT_CURSOR));
                handlerAbs();
                Layout.this.setCursor(cursor);
            }But the mouse pointer doesn't always change. If handler() just does some processing without user interaction, the pointer does change. But in the case of loading a file, where first the user selects the file using a JFileChooser, it doesn't.
    Is this because JFileChooser does its own setCursor()? But even if it does, presumably it does another setCursor() to restore my WAIT_CURSOR before it returns, so why don't I see the WAIT_CURSOR while the file is loading (which takes seconds)?
    Cheers

    EDIT: BTW running under Linux, Java v6 update 7
    Edited by: matth1j on Nov 12, 2008 2:15 AM

    Ok, thanks - full demo program below.
    When you hit the ok button (just 5 second sleep), the mouse pointer changes to 'busy'. It reverts to normal if you move the pointer off the frame, but goes back to 'busy' if you move it back onto the frame.
    When you hit the bad button (brings up file chooser, then does 5 second sleep), the pointer changes to 'busy' while the pointer is over the frame, and reverts to normal when the pointer is moved off the frame. But if you select a file or cancel the file chooser and move the pointer back into the main frame before the 5 seconds is up, the pointer doesn't go back to 'busy' again. I would expect it to show 'busy' while over the frame until the 5 seconds is up.
    Any ideas?

  • New feature: pressing alt while using the anchor point tool

    Hello,
    New feature doesn't work at my side ==> pressing alt while using the anchor point tool would allow to pair the handles again while dragging a handle. But if i press alt or if i do not press it, it does not change the working of my anchor point tool or handles. When i press alt i see the little sign apearing next to my cursor and that's all. Someone an idea what could be the problem?
    Thank you for your help.
    Tommy

    thank you!!!!! I clicked and dragged before..didn't understood apparently the function of the new feature for 100% ;-)

  • Mouse pointer is flickring when i am using FIREFOX 4 why ?????

    me mouse pointer keeps on FLICKRING when i use FIREFOX 4. it doesn't flickr when i use google chrome or IE. why is it so?????
    its really annoying me plzzz tell what to do.????? i closed firefox many times but still the same problem.

    Same problem with my site. I'm mainly using Arial on my site too, but it effects other fonts too like Verdana. With long text block the placement goes all wrong, causing text to go on top of each other and text goes behind pictures.
    Seems like this is caused by some particular graphics cards with some specific drivers.
    My site did work ok with FF4, untill I updated my graphics card.
    EDIT: Noticed that the problem only occurs when I use font sizes of 11 or bigger. Size 10 and smaller are all working ok.

  • Null Pointer Exception while Retrieving Records using Java API

    Hi,
        I am using the Class RetrieveLimitedRecords, to retrieve he records from the main table.
    While using this class I am getting an error Null Pointer Exception, when there are no records matching the search criteriea.
    Could anybody tell me how to ignore this error.
    Thanks,
    Priya.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.
        There is no any class which automatically handles, so we should handle exceptions individually.
    Thanks,
    Priya.
