Mouseclick issue on nested panel

Hi all,
I'm redesigning my portfolio website with Spry sliding panel
tech. and I've encountered a behaviour issue that I was wondering
if anybody else has seen before.
So I've got one set of sliding panels that controls the
sections of the website you visit (ie graphic design, web design
etc) and then a repeating panel inside each one that displays the
different examples in each genre. This nested panel is controlled
by the simple nextFrame(), prevFrame() functionality (as well as
listing the number of panels that are also clickable for more
direct navigation) - to see it all in action, visit
http://www.pixelz.co.uk/newhome.html
My problem is that the FIRST time you click on a navigation
link in the nested panel, nothing happens. After that it all works
fine, but it almost seems that the panel needs to be focused on
first by a click and then will run as normal. Anybody else come
across this issue? Is there a fix for it?
Cheers
Pix

Hi all, anybody found a workaround for this problem?

  • Issues with nested for loops - saving images from a camera

    Hi all,
    I've written a vi. to capture a specific number of images ('Image No') and save these images, outputted to a folder of my choice.  Each image is identified sequentially.  However, I wish to do a number of iterations ('Run') of this capture sequence, such that the filename of each image would be 'Filename (Run)_(Image No).png', e.g. run 5, image 10 would be 'Filename 5_10.png'.  I have tried a nested for loop for this but I receive an error 'Asynchronous I/O operation in progress' (I've attached a printscreen).
    Can anyone assist me in solving this problem? I preiously posted this in machine Vision but got no response (http://forums.ni.com/t5/Machine-Vision/Capturing-image-sequences-issues-with-nested-for-loops/m-p/19...).  Please find attached my vi.
    Kindest regards and thanks,

    Miika,
    the problem is not the filenam, but the name of the folder (AHHHHH!). You try to create the same folder in the outer for loop over and over again.... (it is the error message above the '======', not below )

  • Nested panels in Swing

    Hi, everyone
    i want to know about nested panels in detail. If we make heirarchy of panels at third level then how we can perform drawing in uppermost(last child). please suggest me ideas and give links that gives sufficient matter about it.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello DB sir
    thanks for gentle reply
    i m not getting the website address from your message on which layout managers are discussed in tutorial. If you mean sun.com then please tell me.
    Thanks

  • ADF/Swing probles with nested panels layout.

    When panel is placed in other panel, changing of nested panel layout by changing panel properties, results in adding in jbInit() metod code for setting choosen layout at the end of jbInit and not (as in top panel) at the begining of jbInit(). Many times (for instance when layout is BorderLayout) because of this nested panel is displayd empty. It is necessary of course to manually move lines setting layout before lines which adds components to nested panel. Thou it is possible to do it manually it would be nice not to have remember about it.

    Remi,
    how do I reproduce this? Can you give me a step-by-step instruction? Its not clear from your posting which JDeveloper release you are using (though I assume JDeveloper 10.1.3), nor if the panels are created in external Java file or within the parent panel.

  • Nested panels and bkg image

    Hi,
    I have a JPanel inside another one. It hides when I click on "close" ("fermer" in French, below).
    I'd like now add a background image to the parent panel (the background panel), so that the child panel appears in the middle of this image.
    To make a long story short, my centered panel is okay without background image but disappears when I try and subclass JPanel (paint method) in order to get a back-panel-with image.
    You'll find the code I use below. Is there any way to achieve this ?

    Thanks for your answer !
    So far, it is better : I have overriden the paintComponent method insteda of the paint method and the background image shows up. But the "close" button on the nested (centrered) panel doesn't work any longer. I can click on it, but it stays grayed and the panel doesn't hide. I read the articles you pointed out but couldn't find much for this (except opacity, which I experimented without success).
    Here's the code of my centered panel : maybe there's something wrong here ?

  • Nested Panels: Switching between

    I'm writing a program that has to switch between two panels that are nested in a parent panel. Is anyone there who has done this before and has a workable solution? Thanks in advance...

    Thanks very much, I tried this and this is the error I got when I clicked on the 'proceedBtn' in this case colorBtn...
    Using the content pane, the program does not know where to add the panel, is there a way of directing it to add the panel to the parent panel directly?.. I couldn't find any method that helps in this direction. Thanks again for the help.

  • Focus traversal issue on a panel

    Hello Everyone,
    I am facing a strange issue. I had a panel (BiggerPanel) that has certain text fields, combo boxes and buttons.
    The tab (focus) order was top to bottom and left to right as it should be.
    Now I replaced a text field, with a panel (SmallerPanel) that has the text field and a button in it.
    After adding the SmallerPanel, the text field in SmallerPanel does not get focus.
    Please suggest what can be the reason.
    thanks

    how you handle it could depend on your java version.
    Focus handling changed around 1.4, and things have worked intermittently since.
    probably best to post a small demo program, along with your version,
    and those with a similar version might be able to test it.

  • Issue in query panel LOV order by

    Hi All,
    I am using Jdev 11.1.1.6 version and Weblogic 10.3.6 version. I am facing an issue which is explained below. I have a screen with query panel and results table.
    For Ex. Say i have Name in the results table and search paramater as well. Created Name with the help of a view object with search parameter as view criteria with Order by Name. Name search paramater is created as SelectOneChoice(LOV) . Also from my first page Add button can be clicked. On clicking the button new Name value can be added. On successfully saving the New value it is getting refreshed in the table results and displaying in the correct order. But in LOV the latest value is getting added at the Last. Rest of the values are Ordered by Name.
    Is it possible to display the values in the correct order in LOV after new values are getting added?
    I have tried the following.
         1. Refreshing the View Object with Search Criteria.
         2. Refreshing the LOV View Object.
         3. Refreshing the Whole Page.
    4. Order by in View Accessor.
    5. Refreshing the View Accessor.
    Note: When i totally reload the page again then it is getting refelected correctly.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Deena.

    Maybe you can try to reset QueryModel, something like this:
    QueryModel queryModel = queryComponent.getModel();
    QueryDescriptor queryDescriptor = queryComponent.getValue();
    queryModel.reset(queryDescriptor);
    queryComponent.refresh(FacesContext.getCurrentInstance());
    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(queryComponent);Sorry, I don't have any more ideas :(

  • Having issues with BC panel in DW

    Hi,
    i'm having trouble with the BC panel in DW:
    - I'm getting an error message, saying that Configuration:Shared:BC:JS:bc_sites.js is running for a long time. This window pops up from time to time, resolving is possible but annoying. (Deleting configuration folder and rebuilding it). But the error message returns after a few days.
    - Loggin in with BC panel from DW always takes two times, as the panel does not react the first time, I also have to login each time I restart DW or change a site. No way of staying logged in. Thats annoying.
    - The panel renders the content in a smaller area then the panel is, so if you increase width of panel, content stays narrow. Thats weird.
    Would be nice to take care of this BC panel issues, as the BC panel is an important part of BC-DW workflow.
    My specs:
    iMac with OS X Mavericks
    Adobe CC
    BC Partner

  • Issue with nested inline popup taskflow while try to return back to parent.

    Hi Adf Experts,
    I have been facing one issue. Would you please give me how can I solve this issue which address my scenario. I greatly appreciate your help.
    My Scenario:
    I have ViewA which opens inline popup page ViewB. On ViewB also have another inline PopUp page ViewC (i.e. nested inline popup). On ViewB, there is back button which taskFlow return call and navigate back to ViewA. I need to implement same Back trigger event from ViewC (Back Button)to ViewA. For this, I am using ReturnListener on ViewB button which opens ViewC inline page. On returnListener, I have used ViewB back button ActionEvent queue. like:
         RichCommandButton buttonBack;
         public void onReturn( ReturnEvent returnEvent )
              ActionEvent ae = new ActionEvent(buttonBack);
              buttonBack.queueEvent( ae );
    Output Scenario:
    While running from ViewB, it fires same Back Button action from ViewC back button. No issue at all.
    But when I run from ViewA upto ViewC page and on fire back button, I have been facing issue like below.

    Is there any specific setting which should be done in a taskflow or a page which opens another page using dialog:openwindow?? And why does this effect any other taskflow?
    Any pointers to resolve this are appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance!

  • Dr. Damien's Development - The Xylophone Project X - Font Issues and Front Panel Layout

    The Show Raw Data button was made active in this installment. Doing this in a robust fashion was more involved than one might think, due to font and platform issues (remember I want to port this to a Windows Mobile device eventually). The following changes were made.
    The A frequency indicator was made active. This was an oversight from the last update.
    A front panel object, XylophoneFP.lvclass, was created to hold the front panel references and methods.
    The front panel object was used to implement the Show Raw Data button.
    The front panel object was used to compensate for font issues.
    When testing this application on Windows Vista, I noticed that the font differences between Vista and XP were annoying enough that I wanted to fix them. This will also lay the groundwork for any layout issues when porting to Windows Mobile. Usually, I create a cluster containing all my front panel references, but this time I put them into an object. Besides the usual object boilerplate, there are two methods, one to rearrange the front panel and one to show/hide the data graphs.
    Once the controls and indicators are properly arranged, showing and hiding the data graphs is simple. VI server methods are used to find the edges of the outer controls, some whitespace is added, then the front panel size is reset. Arranging the controls in the first place is much more complex. Dialog controls are used, and these controls change size based on the default font size. Font sizes can change due to user preference or when using the application in a different operating system than it was developed in. Button sizes can also change due to localization.
    This problem is difficult to solve cleanly, and the VI which does this, XylFP.lvlib:XylophoneFP.lvclass:ArrangeControls.vi, shows the problem. It relies on the actual sizes of the controls/indicators to rearrange the front panel in a hopefully pleasing fashion. Even though this is a relatively simple UI, the VI is fairly complex. It uses VI server calls to determine the current sizes of controls and then rearrange them. If you choose to do something similar, consider the following hints:
    The Bounds property of all controls is not writable. To change the size of controls, you need to find the property or properties which change the size. There may be more than one (which is why Bounds is not writable). For example, to change the size of a boolean, use the Button Size property.
    In many cases, the property you use to change the size of the control will not be the same value as the Bounds property. Using the boolean again, the Bounds of a 3D LED include the 3D effect around the LED, but the Button Size only includes the LED itself. Comparing the Bounds property to the result of a query to the property you will be setting will give you the necessary offset to convert between the two.
    Make sure you label your wires if you attempt to do things like this. Long wires are very common in this type of programming. It is difficult enough to keep track of things without the added aggravation of having the trace wires back to their source to identify them.
    A few judiciously placed type converters can eliminate many type conversion dots. This is not usually a real problem in this context, but you should get into the habit of efficient programming.
    I will be hiking through the mountains of New Mexico with the Boy Scouts for the next couple of weeks, so do not be dismayed if I do not reply to comments very quickly. However, comments and suggestions are still welcome and encouraged. I will reply when I return.

    It is simpler but you give up any multi CPU performance.  That LV is inherently parallel is one (the only) real advantage over a text based development system.  I can write good structured text that is almost as visually easy to parse as LV.  With modern syntax coloring engines, the difference in icons vs. structured text is not that great.
    But the challenge I give the traditional text coders is to keep track of many mulitple threads.  This is why dataflow is a powerful concept.  Yes it does lead to asynchronous execution but if you impose synchronicity on your code you are working against LV.  I get most first time programs where everything is in a sequence structure.  "Just to be safe".
    Of course this is much better but  my first design goal is that any application should take advantage of a much hardware as possible, degrade gracefully on slower hardware and play nice with other running applications.  This simpler structure severely handicaps that first goal.
    In this case it is simple enough to "get away" with it since as you point out that there should not be anything that takes significant CPU time.   But that may not be true on the PDA?
    If you are going to run it on the PDA will we be discussing techniques to seamlessly use both NIDAQmx Base and NIDAQmx in the same system?  That is a real challenge.  I look forward to more of this!
    Cheers!

  • Issues with Nested Tables and Adobe Designer

    Hi,
    I have some strange issues when I am trying to create a nested dynamic table with SAP DATA in Adobe Designer.
    My Outer Table has article items and in this table I got a nested charges. For instance the table contains this data:
    DATA
    |->Article1
    |--->charge111
    |--->charge211
    |
    |->Article2
    |--->charge122
    |--->charge222
    Now I am trying to display the data in a Adobe Designer table. But if I create a table with a row article and a repeating row charge all charges will be displayed under the first Article.
    This is the result:
    DATA
    |->Article1
    |--->charge111
    |--->charge211
    |--->charge122
    |--->charge222
    |
    |->Article2
    How can I solve this issue? I tried to select data binding on charges like article.DATA.charges.DATA[*] but this don't work.
    Anyone an idea?

    Alex,
    Is it print based form or interactvie form.
    ABAP
    If it is printbased form and if you are designing from SFP, you can use the following solution.
    You have to create a nested table in the context as below.
    say Table1-> Article ( fields: ARTICLENAME,....other fields) info Table2->cost info(fields:ARTICLENAME,Charge...,other fields).
    The 2 tables should contains data as beow.
    Table1 data.
    1row->Article1  -.....other values.
    2row->Article2  -.....other values.
    3row->Article3  -.....other values.
    Table2 data.
    1row->Article1  -Charge11 .....other values.
    2row->Article1  -Charge12 .....other values.
    3row->Article1  -Charge13 .....other values.
    4row->Article2  -Charge21 .....other values.
    5row->Article2  -Charge22 .....other values.
    6row->Article2  -Charge23 .....other values.
    7row->Article3  -Charge31 .....other values.
    8row->Article3  -Charge32 .....other values.
    9row->Article3  -Charge33 .....other values.
    In the context drag table2 into the table1 and define where clause on ARTICLENAME.
    In the layout drag nested table in the body page and make alignments.
    If your requirement is interactive, may be you can use the similar logic.

  • Save and submit issues with nested/expanding form

    I've built two forms in designer (Form_B and Form_C, we'll say) which use scripted repeating subforms to accomodate a range of inputs without presenting the user with piles of fields. I need both of them to correctly maintain their state when saved and re-opened, and transmit the data I need through acrobat.com distribution.
    Form B currently doesn't save and re-open correctly:
         There are two levels of repetition, Areas and Categories. There can be one or more Areas, and each Area has one or more Categories. If I open the form (in Acrobat Pro) and fill it out with 2 areas, each area having 2 categories, when i save and re-open the file the second Area is gone, and the first Area has 4 categories.
    Form C has many fields (up to 1500+) but I only need a fraction of them to be submited
         On the assumption that the settings in the "binding" pallet would controll this for me, I made a script to unbind all the unnnessisary fields pre-submit, and reverse the changes post-submit. When I test this, the fields still save and submit despite being set fieldName.bind.match = "none". I would also like to temporarily re-name the submitted fields so they come through with unique names. I have a script to do this, and I tested it by running the script (confirming that they changed by looking at the mouse-over tooltip) and saving the form in that state. The form will open back up with the old(unchanged) names and those fields have lost other layout settings.
    On both forms, all fields and subforms are normally set to binding = "normal", or fieldName.bind.match = "once"
    I currently have no external data bindings (the data view pallet is blank.)
    Any thoughts on why fields whos binding = "none" would still submit/save?
    Or why repeating subforms with binding = "normal" would get lost in a save?
    Is originalFieldName.name = "newName" somehow not sufficient to change how that fieldname gets saved in the data? (despite the apparent name change)
    I've searched all the resources I know for any useful idea on this one, and came up blank. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
    <<<<<   don't rule out "It shouldn't do that, it must be buggy."  I'm starting to lean that way pretty heavily on a couple counts.  >>>>>>
    If anyone would like to see the files in question,  please send me an email at  manager<at>rocklight<dot>net and I'll get a copy of each off to you first thing in the morning.

    I've found a partial answer for the Form_B issue. (areas and categories not saving correctly):
    It looks like another case of this - http://forums.adobe.com/message/1358727#340913
    but for subforms.
    In order to keep my naming consistent, I had every repeating subform at every level called "fields" and within that a subform called "content" etc. (See attached image) It looks like when the file is re-opened, acrobat/reader is finding the First node named "fields" to apply the saved information to, rather than the correct one. When i renamed the subforms to "AreaFields" and "CatFields" it seems to have solved the problem. (It's still giveing me extra categories, but i think more re-naming is going to solve that too.
    Still looking for a solution to the submission problem: how to only submit some of the fields in a form.
    (yeah, the nesting is rediculous, I know, but it was necisary for some formatting elements.)

  • Drawing into a nested panel

    Hello,
    I have an interface consisting of several panels nested together to accept user input on the left and output a shape on the right.
    I have the user input widgets set up the way I want. I am about to add the listeners and handlers to each widget. However, before I do, I want to know how to draw the shape in the panel.
    My code is below. I would like to accept the user input from the entry panel and output a shape (with code yet to be added) to the displayPanel.
    Again, my question is, how do I draw anything into the displayPanel?

  • Issue related to Panel Tabbed- How to mark a particular tab as default tab

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue where I want to make a showDetailItems Tab the default one. Currently every time the panel tabbed gets loaded I get the previously opened tab as disclosed.
    Making Disclosed true for one particular showDetailItem and false for others doesn't solve the problem, infact there is no change in the behavior.
    Can somebody suggest a solution.
    Thanks
    Deepak

    You can set the disclosed property of hte one detail to ture which you like to open when you first enter the page
    <af:showDetailItem ... disclosed="true"...>If you like you can use EL to calculate the value...
