Move data from a select box to table in database.
Hi,
a. I have one dual selection box and for that the is div id =' id '
b.In dual selection box there is two box ie. one is Available and other is Selected. So a user can select one or all using two button.
c. My requirements is like :
onclick of a radio button all datas from available side will move to database and that dual box will be hidden.

I had a custom table called sales_data in that table there are columns like JAn,FEB,upto DEC including other columns so in each month there is some data total data is 23000 count but each month has has specific data like JAn-2500,FEB-2000 like that it has total 23000 records
My Requirement is i have to move data from one table to another table that too if i will pass jan only jan data should move like that feb,march,.....
in my table there is no month column i had get it from another table called gl_periods and by using cursor and case function i have written the code
well while when i am inserting data am passing year,month as parameters but 23000 data is moving it should get like that.

I need to move data from work space -1 to work space -2. I need to move only selected data. From work space -1 to work space -2

since data tables are not located in work-areas but in schema's I presume you mean the latter.
A simple conversion statement would be something like :
insert into table s1.newtable ( column1, column2, ... )
select column1a, column2a, ...
from s2.oldtable
where ...
First the master table, then the child table.
This works using a user-id having al least read-access to schema s2. If no such user exists then use some export method.
No relation to APEX though.

For large data I would prefer doing this in T-SQL. So what you could do is dump data to staging table and then apply
T-SQL MERGE between tables (or even a combination of INSERT/UPDATE statements)

If you want to update a db STRUCTURE it is not possible because Structure doesnot hold any data.
If you are trying to update a db table then the update command should do the work.
Eg : UPDATE VBPA3 FROM TABLE DA_XVBPA3U.
Note : The Internal table should be of same structure and should not have duplicate entries.

Selecting data from a cell in a table
I want to be able select data from a cell in a table by looking up a specified header row and header column. For example, if my table has column headings of "Micro", "Emerging", and "Large" and my rows are labeled "Silver", "Gold", and "Platinum", how do I find the data in the table that is associated with column "emerging" and row "Platinum"?
I thought that pointing to the User Guide was clear enough but it seems that it wasn't.
Assuming that you have a spreadsheet with two sheets.
The first one is named "jardin"
it contains a table named "potager"
a column header of this table is "carotte"
a row header of this table is "longue"
The cell of row "longue" of column "carotte" contains "cuite"
The other sheet is named "garden"
it contains a table named "potager"
the column header of column 3 of this table is "carotte"
the row header of row 5 of this table is "longue"
In cell E10 of this table insert the formula :
=INDIRECT("jardin"&" :: "&"potager"&" :: "&"carotte"&" "&"lapin")
It will grab the value of row "lapin" of column "carotte" of table "potager" of sheet "jardin"
This result is "cuite"

Answering your question would be easier given a screen shot of the source table and one of what you want the summary table to look like.
Is the data you want for each month in a single cell o the source table, or does the summary table need to collect February's data (for example) from several cells and do some math with those numbers before presenting them on the summary table?

Procedure
1. Start the transaction using the menu path or transaction code.
Whatever Data You Want to Export
2. Select SystemèListèSaveèLocal File. This works well for any data in SAP. This is the only option for the top-level (first page) of a report.
In a drill-down view within a report the Local File button on the toolbar may be used and has the same options.
Choose File Format
3. Click .
4. Click to continue. If prompted for a format after choosing Spreadsheet, select Excel Table to get an Excel file that can be modified more easily.

You must add the proper file extension to the name of your file (.xls for Excel, .rtf for Rich Text, .html for HTML). The file extension tells your computer what program to open the file with. If you do not have the file extension at the end, you may not be able to open it.

1. On the Essbase server, set up an odbc system connection to your MySQL database
2. In the load rule , go to the file menu and select open SQL data source and in the data source put in your SQL statement . A couple of hints. Where it says Select, don't put in the word select and where it say from don't put in from. The system adds them for you. The easiest way ti enter a SQL statement is to do it all in the select area So if your SQL would normanlly say select * from mytable just enter the code as * from mytable in the select area
The click ol/retrieve and enter in your connection info. Itshould bring data back into the load rule. Save the load rule and use it -

External tables managed by the Oracle DB Server are a way to go.
However, I would suggest using any of the Berkeley DB Core APIs (C, C++, Java) along with its appropriate correspondent on the Oracle DB side, that is, OCI (Oracle Call Interface, C API), OCCI (Oracle C++ Call Interface) and, respectively, JDBC or SQLJ. You may also use the Oracle DB Precompilers, Pro*C/C++ along with the correspondent Berkeley DB API, C/C++.
If you have Metalink access, you may consult the KM Note 756126.1, where I've discussed how to import Oracle DB data into Berkeley DB databases (the opposite of what you're trying to do), using OCI on the Oracle DB side and the C API on the Berkeley DB side; there is a code example in the note to explain how to perform this task.
Doing the data copying the other way around is not difficult; you'll need to iterate through the Berkeley DB database with a cursor and use appropriate OCI DML statements (INSERT INTO) to write the data to the Oracle DB table. Note that you may also use OCI to execute the DDL statements (CREATE TABLE) to create the Oracle DB table into which data will be copied, or do that separately using SQL*Plus, PL/SQL dynamic native SQL etc before copying the data.

Move data from Citadel to SQL Server 2005
I wish to move data from a Citadel database. I have tried to use an ODBC connection to a Citadel database with little success. I can connect and write queries using Microsoft's Excel, but what I want to do cannot be done in Excel (due to Excel's row and column limitations and because I need a "heavier" lifter than Excel) . The data-tag names are longer than MS Access will accept and Visual Studio Professional 2005 connects but no queries are successful. MS Access can open the ALIAS table.
What I want.
I wish the UTC date and time, Data-Tag Name, and data values between start and end times (logical run) for data contained in the RAWDATA table of the ODBC connection. I need to repeat this for the 400+ data-tags in the Citadel database.
An ODBC connection is inherently slow and inefficient and thus isn't the connection of choice. However, I don't know of any other means to connect. I have years of data from which to extract runs on multiple DAS Citadel databases.
Is the Citadel database the best source for this data extraction or is there a "native" LabView database that this extraction process might use for more efficient data extraction?'
Is there a product marketed by NI that will extract this data to SQL Server or a delimited text file?Thanks Amanda:
Today, I was able to connect from within MS Access via an ADODB connection to the ODBC Citadel database. That is working well so far and seems to be reasonably fast--returned 3 recordsets from the RawData table having about 370; 1,400; and 460,000 records in a little over 16 seconds from a PC with medium power (cpu configuration and RAM availability). The recordsets were ordered but no "WHERE" clauses were involved.
I'll use these recordsets to vet the algorithm I am developing to identify "runs"--there are 19 complete runs and 1 incomplete run at the end of the Citadel database. The next Citadel database repeats runs 18 and 19 and then has run 20 through whatever. The algorithm currently successfully finds the UTC run start date/time. Tomorrow, I'll work on the run end date/time portion of the algorithm and if all goes well Monday will be the big test of picking the data between the start and end times for each run for each of about 370 data tag names.
