"Move indeterminate" console spam

Running an app with build 183654 in debug is spamming my flex
builder console with a "Move indeterminate" message. Anyone know
what is causing this and how to stop it?

I've been trying to narrow down what is causing this, but I
do not get it in a trivial app. I commented out everything and
uncommented it until I started getting the message. I'm getting it
when I add a pop up...
PopUpManager.addPopUp(pw, this, true);
Where pw is my "please wait while data is loaded" component
based on Panel. The pw component has a defined width and height,
doesn't bind to variable outside itself, doesn't move itself,
nothing odd.

  • Com.apple.emond Console spam

Since the upgrade to Yosemite, the Console system log has been spammed every 10 seconds with:
10/20/14 9:04:28.738 AM com.apple.xpc.launchd[1]: (com.apple.emond) Service only ran for 0 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 10 seconds.
I've tried to track this down through Google search with no luck.  I've done the usual repair permissions, rebooting to safe mode (which then shows a possibly related spamming of com.apple.pc.launchd and watchdogd.  I even uninstalled parallels 9 as that version seems wonky with Yosemite.  Anyone have a suggestion as to where to look next?  Is this a router/network sharing issue or some rogue service?
    Thanks for any help.
    iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010), 2.93 GHz i7

After another week of messing around I finally got emond to stop with the constant restarting and console chatter.  I followed the suggestion of editing the /private/etc/emond.d/rules/Sample.plist  that was given here:
    http://superuser.com/questions/828658/com-apple-emond-keeps-getting-restarted
Not something a novice should be messing with but it worked.  Be sure to make a backup copy of SampleRules.plist just in case.

  • Console spam: "com.apple.time: Interval maximum value"

    Hi, everyone —
Getting a little obsessed about cleaning out unnecessary Console messages and I'm finding that ~50% of my messages is this exact line:
com.apple.time: Interval maximum value is 946100000 seconds (specified value: 9223372036854775807).
I get this line about once a minute, and at the top of the hour get it almost a hundred times, ie:
6/6/13 8:59:59.991 AM com.apple.time[161]: Interval maximum value is 946100000 seconds (specified value: 9223372036854775807).
6/6/13 8:59:59.994 AM com.apple.time[161]: Interval maximum value is 946100000 seconds (specified value: 9223372036854775807).

Anyone know how to clean this up?

Ok, after digging a bit, I've found what cause this warning: the DOT @ the end of the NTP server name... I thing it is used to specify the interval from the GUI, but without a value (i.e. Apple, Europe, (time.euro.apple.com.)) it probably fall to the maximum signed int64 value.
If you trim that dot or specify a value after the dot, the warning goes away.
    Moreno

  • Console spamming once certain site is visited

I started getting numerous repeat Console entries after visiting this site with Safari 3.1.2
    http://www. frozencpu.com/cat/l1/g36/Fans.html?gclid=COPooPjfnpkCFShRagodJFj2pw
(I've added a space after www. to prevent this being live, in case you don't want to go there inadvertently - but WOT finds the site itself safe, except there may be a tracking cookie, according to one comment- so remove its cookies if you visit).
I have Console set to bounce and the following starts getting written as soon as I visit the above. Here's a short sample:
Mar 12 23:09:24 localhost /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari: CGImageDestinationCreate capacity parameter is zero\n
Mar 12 23:09:28 localhost /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari: CGImageDestinationCreate capacity parameter is zero\n
Mar 12 23:18:00 localhost /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari: CGImageDestinationCreate capacity parameter is zero\n
Mar 12 23:18:07 localhost /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari: CGImageDestinationCreate capacity parameter is zero\n
Mar 12 23:18:07 localhost /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari: CGImageDestinationCreate capacity parameter is zero\n
And once it has been visited, merely going to History and, I think, Bookmarks Menu (perhaps set to History) produces new entries. If I remove it from History (I've also cleared out its cookies) I believe this behavior stops. I've tried it on FF (3.0.7) and Camino (beta 2), where nothing gets written to Console.
I'm wondering if anyone else can reproduce this and/or knows the meaning of the Console entries. I've checked the safety of this site with WOT and it reports nothing terrible for the site itself, but since there may be a tracking cookie, I'd advise clearing out its cookies after if you try this.

Actually, I don't think this is anything similar. It sounds more like a DNS issue. It's possible you have a Trojan which is redirecting your URL entries. Try going to System Preferences/Network and for DNS Servers enter these numbers. They are from Open DNS and safer. If you need directions to enter them, go to opendns.com:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
Go to Macscan.com and download their DNS Changer removal tool. It's free. Run it and it will scan for at least one of the Trojans that might be causing this.
Also, if that doesn't help, you'd be better off making this a separate posting where many more people will be available to help you. Good luck

  • Airport Extreme 7.3.1 - Airdisks now cause MASSIVE Console spam!

    Hi,
A while back someone had posted a problem. It's been archived so I've reposted it....and will reply with a solution that worked for me.
Upon installation of 7.3.1 this evening, airdisks now completely pillage my poor system log - it's completely unusable due to ridiculous spam from the "new & improved" airdisk system. Disk has been erased and repartitioned w/ GUID structure. None of these ever happened before this update.
AEBSn (non-Gbit) + Seagate Freeagent Desktop 250GB - w/ 2 letter wireless site name, 2 letter drive name, yields THIS:
Mar 20 01:46:22 SRMBP kernel[0]: Bad Error - mbuftagallocate returned an error 22
Mar 20 01:46:22 SRMBP kernel[0]: Error in processing.....letting packet Through!
my log is positively BLOATED with these - both occurring 2-3 times/second during Airdisk writes... No errors during reads.
    and THIS:
Mar 20 01:48:01 SRMBP Unknown15: Client application bug: DNSServiceResolve(DN.adisk.tcp.local.) active for over two minutes. This places considerable burden on the network.
    ...this happens often as well.
just for fun, a few of these:
Mar 20 01:24:24 SRMBP kernel[0]: Length of address is greater than what will fit in info structure
    Mar 20 01:24:54: --- last message repeated 2 times ---
    Mar 20 01:25:00 SRMBP 0x0-0xb00b.com.apple.finder180: AFPFSMapIDName afpfsMapIDNameFSCTL returned -1, errno: 2
    Mar 20 01:35:20: --- last message repeated 5 times ---
sadly, this too is also common.
Any thoughts? I'm out of my league on this one, and even google is speechless. Not good!
~off to test TM through wife's Blackbook, will report back.
    ~O'Doyle

I had the same problem with a bloated log. Same error and everything. I did a little messing around and found it was a program called Covenant Eyes. As soon as I removed it the logs started to look normal and the speed improved dramatically....
I can live without Covenant Eyes. It's pretty much worthless. It can be defeated using a program called CleanSweep.
If you are getting these weird error messages and have Covenant Eyes installed...that's your problem.

  • Can't remove program to stop console spam.

So I removed a program but every 10 seconds this happens

    12-04-11 7:50:48.448 AM com.apple.launchd.peruser.501: (com.kodak.ShareButtonAgent) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
I have tryed to deleate anything related to this I can find.
Anyone know how to deleate/remove this?

Had the same problem and found the answer here: http://fplanque.com/dev/mac/how-to-remove-constantly-launching
so for you it should be something like this:
    launchctl list | grep kodak
and then remove the offending service with launchctl remove ....

Having a very annoying problem today. My news digests etc from Times as part of my sub to the newspaper have been arriving fine up to now, but are today landing in the Spam folder. When I highlight a message and choose "not spam" or whatever from the options the message is supposed to be moved from spam to  in box. But instead they are deleted. How do I a) stop Times emails being wrongly bunged in Spam folder b) move wrongly classified "spam" to in-box -& not have them deleted. By the way, does BT email not have a "recently deleted" option so one can access emails deleted accidentally?
    Cheers..

How are you "declaring" [email protected] to be a "Spam" message?
Sun Messaging Server will only file an email to the Spam folder if you have configured your third-party anti-spam software to flag the email as Spam (e.g. add a custom header) and have written the appropriate channel filter.
This has already been discussed here:

    Any ideas

Update: I think I've pinpointed this problem to the Time Capsule.  I've replaced the Time Capsule with my Airport Express, and everything works flawlessly.  So:
Cable Modem -> MacBook Air (via ethernet cable) = Works fine
Cable Modem -> Airport Express -> MacBook Air = Works fine
Cable Modem -> Time Capsule -> MacBook Air = Doesn't work
I've reset the Time Capsule to factory defaults (holding down reset button while plugging in power) = no change
When I first plug the Time Capsule into the Cable Modem, I can get internet for few seconds.  But eventually the "Internet" status light in Airport Utility goes yellow and I can't access the internet at all.
It would be interesting to try a different cable modem with the Time Capsule but I don't have one.
Time to call Apple again I think.

  • Mail on iPad and Iphone

When using the mail in IOS5 (or previous versions) why isn't there a way to mark and email as spam?

Hiya. On you iOS device, you can move a suspected spam message to your junk folder, and your MobileMe/iCloud should send a background script to apple highlighting it as spam.... Over some time it will learn and filter it out. On a mac mail, agin you can transfer messages to you junk folder and the process is the same, or as a more concrete way of highlighting spam, you can right click on the message and choose send as attachment. This will create a new mail window with the text as the spam message in attachment form. Send this to address [email protected] and all the information surrounding it will be added to apple server.
I do agree though that apple spam filters are a bit rubbish. I get hit once a month by a lot, and the range of it is so wide that I can't even set up 'mail rules'.
Hopefully though after a biit of time this will help you significantly in beating spam.
    Good luck!
    Best.

  • Outlook Connector - Unable to view messages in IMAP folders

    Hi,
I am trying to get the outlook connector (version 7.2.310.1) and it is fine for collecting mail, calenders etc.
The problem I am having is with IMAP folders.
I have a message rule set up through the webmail view that moves mail with [-SPAM-] in the subject (picked up by our edge filters) into the Junk Email folder. This rule works fine, I can view the messages in there through webamil, if i log in over IMAP using thunderbird or whatever I can see the messages...
The problem is that through the outlook connector, there are no messages in there. The folder exists, I can copy messages in there using outlook and they are visible, but all the mail that is there already is effectively invisible?
Any ideas or have I just missed something?
    Josh

Have you tried re-syncing the folder, to do this:
    1. Within Outlook, right-click on the folder
    2. Select "Properties"
    3. Click on the "Advanced" tab
    4. Click on "Empty and resync" button.
    Regards,
    Shane.
