Move location of disabled item

I have a edit box placed on the front panel to log text message. Depending on the status of a boolean button, the edit box appears and disappears (the button enables or disables the edit box when it is pushed).
After the first time I place the edit box in place, I am not able to see it on the front panel. I have to go back to the block diagram and find the icon, double click on it and the front panel will show a dashed rectangle representing the position of the edit box. How do I change the edit box size and location?

Why won't Front Row play movies located in my iPhoto Library?

I currently have a little over 300 short movies from my digital cameras. I keep them in subfolders located at /Users/shared/Shared Movies/digital camera movies/ and Front Row plays them just fine under each user account since each user has an alias to /Users/shared/Shared Movies/ located in their "movies" folder within their home folder.
Recently a buddy convinced me to import my short digicam movies into iPhoto as an easier way to organize the short .mov and .avi files. I have over 14K image files in my library so I liked the idea of browsing my video shorts using iPhoto. I created a smart album in iPhoto for all file names ending with .avi or .mov and that works great to quickly locate the relatively few video files in the sea of digital stills.
BUT... WHY won't Front Row locate or play the movies that are located inside of iPhoto's Library? Did they just forget this functionality? Front Row's Video player displays Video Podcasts located in iTunes why wouldn't there also be an automagic category that appears in Front Row for movies located in your iPhoto Library?!
Front Row chokes if I attempt to play the smart "movies" album I created in iPhoto. It just keeps spinning the little "train tracks" progress thingy and never shows a movie. I finally just hit the menu button on the remote to "back out" of that selection.
The other work around I tried to play these movies located in iPhoto was a smart folder located at /Users/shared/Shared Movies/ that displays filenames that contain .mov and .avi located in my iPhoto library folder. This doesn't work. Front Row's Video player will not display the movies found by a smart folder the same way it does for an alias to a folder or file.
I don't want to keep duplicate copies of these movie files on my HD. I'll have to keep them located outside of iPhoto so I can enjoy browsing and watching them "on demand" using Front Row.
What is the fix? Work around?

Thanks for the suggestion but that isn't an option. Think about how iPhoto stores images and movies you import into the photo library. It will import files originally located in one folder and scatter them by storing all the files in hundreds of folders and subfolders based on date. Originally I had my movies in my home movie folder and even used an alias to the shared movies. That all works fine and it isn't the issue. The issue is when you try to use the only tool Apple provides to organize your digital images, both still and moving pictures. Once you import your movies into the iPhoto Library they become invisible to Front Row's video player.
Once iPhoto imports my 300+ files and scatters them into hundreds of subfolders based on the date -how in the world would you even begin to maintain aliases in a folder that point to these files. That is NOT an option, who would do that?! That is why I decided to try the smart folder since it would dynamically locate all the files with .mov and .avi in the file name located within the iPhoto library. Good idea but Front Row will not play these files listed in the result set of a smart folder. It will follow an alias but not play the contents of a smart folder.
Front Row should handle movie files within the iPhoto library the same way it deals with videos within the iTunes library. Poor design, oversight, bug, whatever -it should be fixed. There should be an automatic category that appears under the Front Row video player for "Movies in iPhoto" and if you have no movies in your library it displays something like it does when you have no video podcasts, or no TV shows, or no music videos in iTunes. Come on, how many users have those items vs. an iPhoto library with movies from their digital cameras? I bet more users have movies from their digital cameras that currently drop through a gaping hole in the design of Front Row if they use iPhoto to manage their digicam movie files.

When_Validation_Item of disabled item

In forms 4.5 When_Validate_Item trigger fires for disabled item.
I migrate about 300 forms from 4.5 to 9i. Now in 9i When_Validate_Item triggers are not firing for disabled item.
How can i get the 4.5 feature.

The most efficient way to resolve the problem is to put the edit in the when-validate-record trigger. That is where I put all my multi-field edits. If the edit is in the when-validate-record trigger, when the user leaves the record, the WVR code runs, and you can issue the message there. The only problem is that you cannot put the cursor back into the correct field without using a timer.
Speaking of timers, it is possible using a timer and some elaborate code, to enforce the two-field-edit as soon as the user moves the cursor away from both fields. That is, if the two fields are next to each other, the pair edit only runs when the cursor leaves the second field (if you are using Tab or Enter or autoskip). But it would run immediately after entering the first field if the user moved the cursor to a third field using the mouse.

Disable Item in tabular form in Apex

I would like to disable items in tabular forms.
If line status is Draft then all items of tabular form are enable other disable.
How to write this condition and where should i write because in dynamic action tabular Item is not showing...

ATP check in certain storage location based on item category

hi gurus,
i need to know whether any one can help me. i need to know how to set the availability check in certain storage location by each item category. such as :
mat A item category TAN, ATP check only include in SLOC 01,02,03
but mat A with item category TANN, ATP check only include SLoc 04.
case:
in MMBE:
mat A
plant 1000 pc
     sloc 01 - 400 pc
     sloc 02 - 200 pc
     sloc 03 - 300 pc
     sloc 04 - 100 pc
so when create SO:
1. mat A itCat TAN qty 1000pc
   (Sistem will say that the stock not enough, bcoz stock in Sloc 01,02,03 only 900pc)
2. mat A itCat TANN qty 200pc
(Sistem will say that the stock not enough, bcoz stock in Sloc 04 only 100pc)
actually i prefer to use the standard solution but i think that must be use user exit, if so, do u know which user exit i shuld used, if not maybe u have a standard solution,.

Disabled items are cleared out from session state upon Submit.
Create a hidden item on your page and populate this hidden item just as you populated the disabled-item.
In your page-process refer to the hidden item instead of the disabled item.

Disabled item in plot legend when scrollbar is visible

Problem is that plot legend shows only the plots being displayed correctly, while plot legend scrollbar is not being displayed, which is being controlled using LegPlotMin and LegNumRows properties. But when plot legend scrollbar is enabled (when number of plots exceed a certain number) then one disabled item (already being displayed in the enabled item above it) becomes visible. How to not show it while plot legend scrollbar is visible?
Second question. If plot legend scrollbar is visible and the user has scrolled it to the bottom and left it there and then selects options where the number of plots are less than a certain threshold and the scrollbar is set to invisible, using property node; then the only lower disabled plot names are shown. So how do I set the scroll position for plot legend scrollbar. I could not find any scroll position property for plot legend scrollbar.

It is true that you cannot set the index of the topmost displayed plot in a plot legend. It's a missing property! To accommodate long legends, I have used two graphs, one hidden behind the other. Both receive all the data, and their two legends are aligned side by side. In fact, I wrote a routine to align legends of stacked plots, which I've attached here for you. Maybe you'll find it useful!

In iPhoto '11 where are movies located?

In iPhoto '11 where are movies located? When we download photos & movies, they aren't apparent in the "Lst 12 months" & "Library" areas. They show up as spearate groupings in the "Last Import" but not in the History. Thanks.

Movies are stored in Events, like photos.

Select a movie in Last Import and Right-Click on it. Choose 'Show Event' from the menu. This will bring you to the Event containing the movie.
If the photo or movie is in Last Import, then it is in the Library somewhere, just not where you expect it to be. Usual causes: the date on your camera is wrong, and so the date on the photo is wrong, or the sorting of the Events has changed (View Menu -> Sort Events)

Exemple, if my report contains the following :

Disabled item problem on Apex 4.1.1.00.23

I've got a problem. On my application i have a page with a text field with the options 'Disable' and 'Save Session State' setted to 'yes'. When i put some value on the text field using javascript and try to submit the page the following error message appears:
'Session state protection violation: This may be caused by manual alteration of protected page item P1_TEXT. If you are unsure what caused this error, please contact the application administrator for assistance. Contact your application administrator.'
I really need to save the session state of the text field, even when it is disabled, does anybody know anything about this issue?? I reproduced the error on apex.oracle.com:

What you're seeing is the intended and desired functionality of disabling an item and proof of APEX's built-in security robustness.
To accomplish what you want:
Turn off the 'Disable' option and set the 'HTML Form Element Attributes' to readonly="readonly"Keep in mind though, that now your "disabled" item can be modified by any user that knows how to access and manipulate DOM objects. If that is a concern you may need to come up with some way to validate the item values allowed.

40222 Disabled item failed validation.

When I run a Forms app, I receive this error message after I click one of its buttons:
41012 Invalid value for field Renewal_Type
40222 Disabled item RB.Renewal_Type failed validation.
There is a radio group by that name in one of the blocks, although it has not been assigned to a canvas. I think the developer of this app may have intended it for another form that he was going to build, but never got to it; thus it's disabled. Is that what causes this error message or is it something else? How can I fix this? Thanks.

I tried to achieve this using form personalization using the below condition and action

Trigger Object - RELEASE.DOC_NAME
Condition - :RELEASE.PICKING_RULE is not NULL
Processing Mode - Both
Action Type - Property
Object Type - Item
Target Object - RELEASE.SHIPCONFIRM_RULE_NAME
Property Name - ENABLED
Value - FALSE
I could see the field becomes non editable but when i navigate to "Release Sales Orders"-->"Shipping" tab and press tab button on the field "Trip" I am getting the below error
FRM-41316: cannot set insert allowed property of disabled item RELEASE.SHIPCONFIRM_RULE_NAME
Even i have tried with the following Property Names set to " FALSE " but still the field is able to editable
