  • Converting Movie Trailers to work on iPod

I've downloaded a few movie trailers, and they will no load onto the iPod "they are not compatible with this iPod".
    Purchased videos work fine.
The error sends you to a KBase article that has nothing to do with the iPod - it tells you how to watch videos in iTunes.
So, what format do the movie trailers need to be converted to in order to work?
    Thanks

Does the Windows version of QT Pro have the "export to iPod" function? I want to make sure before I kick in the $30 for it, but if it does, I'll be on it. I use other software for VOB conversion, the PSPVIDEO9 guys have a freeware iPod conversion program out (windows only, sorry) that seems to work great (I assume, I haven't loaded a movie to the iPod yet, but it looks good in QT)

  • Easiest way to get movie trailers to my Video ipod

What is the Easiest way to get movie trailers to my Video ipod like a podcast is that possible or do I have to down load each trailer.
    Thanks Brian

This is the "Apple way": Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
For anything else you'll need 3rd party software.

  • Cannot install "iTunes Movie Trailers App" on new iPad

    Hello all,
I just got the new iPad (3rd Gen.).
I am trying to install the iTunes Movie Trailer App (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/itunes-movie-trailers/id471966214?mt=8)
For some reason, after clicking the install icon, I get an error Pop-up screen that says "Action could not be completed".
I have installed plenty of other Apps with no issues at all.
Is this App only for U.S.  users (I am from Canada)?
I suspect it is something like this because my son also cannot install this App on his iPod touch.
    Any ideas?
    Christian

I am actually seing it in Canada.
Nevertheless, it should be able to say "Not available in your region" before I even get the possibility to download.
Like for example, if I go on the MTV website, I cannot view their videos, they give a proper message.
For sure they would be able to do the same in a more user-friendly message.
Another good example, go see this App for the BBC, first thing they say: Exclusive to the UK.

Simple, one line says it all.

  • Movie trailers on iPad 2

When I try to play movie trailers on my iPad2 from the "http://trailers.apple.com/" web page the trailer is displayed way down the page with the only the right half of the trailer visible on the left side of the screen.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Is there a fix?  I have tried resetting my iPad, but that made no difference.

    Hey FlorentP75,
I found the following information about syncing SD versions to your iPad:
By default, when syncing video to iPad, iTunes will sync the HD version to iPad when available. You can only sync HD content purchased in 1080p to iPad (3rd generation). You need to download the 720p or SD version from iTunes in the Cloud to sync iPad 2 or earlier, iPhone 4S or earlier, iPod touch (4th generation or earlier), and iPod. Alternatively, you can download the videos directly to your device using iTunes in the Cloud.
If you prefer to sync SD video content to iPad:
With iPad connected to your computer, select it on the left side of the iTunes window.
    Click the Summary Tab.
Scroll down to the Options section and select the checkbox for "Prefer standard definition videos."
Now when you sync videos to iPad, only SD versions will be synced.
To undo your change, simply repeat the above steps and uncheck the box next to "Prefer standard definition videos."

  • Movie trailers app has no audio

I'm not getting any audio from Apple's movie trailers app - unless I'm using headphones. Otherwise, nothing. Anyone else have this issue, as well?

Am I better off just springing for QuickTime Pro? Can Pro convert the VOB files to an iPod-readable format?

  • Movie trailers section missing in itunes store

just downloaded itunes 7.0.1.8, and the movie trailers section is missing from the iTunes Store menu. where'd it go??
      Windows XP

i know it sounds stupid, but there's no movies link either. it's weird. all i've got under the main iTunes Store menu is...
    Music
    Music Videos
    Audiobooks
    Podcasts
    iPod Games
    Pixar Short Films
... no movies. am i completely missing something? i'm not a newbie to iTunes, been using it for years. i think there's something seriously wrong with this latest version of iTunes. i called Apple support and they just advised to remove & reinstall iTunes. tried it but didn't help a thing.

  • How do you download movie trailers?

The Video iPods at the Apple Store had movie trailers on them. When I go to the trailers at the iTunes Store, I can view them on screen in different sizes, but I can't download them and put them on my iPod. What am I missing?
    Thanks.
    Peter

If you have quicktime pro you have the option to save any quicktime file off of the internet. It will also convert videos to be viewable on your iPod video.

  • Can Movie Trailers be downloaded from the iTunes app on the iPhone?

Is there currently a way to download movie trailers from the iTunes app on the iPhone or iPod Touch?

No, there isn't. All you can do is view the preview.
You can also see them using Safari by going to http://www.apple.com/trailers/iphone

  • Folks, i can not get to view movie trailers on my PC

I can't view movie trailers on my PC through my iTunes acc. I have no problems using my Ipod touch 4 on the same Internet connection so I am thinking that my PC software or settings are incorrect, "or maybe both". Can someone please direct me to where I could get help for this problem,or maybe give advice?
    Thanks for the help.

  • Importing movie trailers into iTunes

I have never encountered this problem before, but when I attempt to send a movie trailer onto my ipod, the "connecting to the iTunes Store" screen comes up, but then an error appears that says
    "itpc://www.apple.com/trailers/home/podcasts/pc-2111.xml?ign-mscache=1"
    "Application not found"
    And then is followed by:
"Internet Explorer cannot open this helper application for
    itpc://www.apple.com/trailers/home/podcasts/pc-2111.xml?ign-mscache=1."
"The protocol specified in this address is not valid/ Make sure the address is correct, and try again"
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

when I attempt to send a movie trailer onto my ipod,
    How are you doing this?

  • Quicktime Movie Trailers-Podcast problems

I am having problems when selecting movie trailers from the QuickTime movie trailer list for the iPod. iTunes is opening ok and the trailer is appearing in the podcast list but is not downloading.
All that appears is a name with a ! mark on the left hand side. So in summary when the trailer is downloaded it appears as an entry but with a ! symbol. When I click on the ! mark it mentions something about the URL not being a valid podcast URL.
Any ideas? Can someone see if they experience the same problem?

    I have same problems

  • Why can't my ie 10 play movies trailers

My IE 10 won't play Apple movies trailers...they work fine from Firefox, Chrome or other browers...but from IE...nothing.
    Any suggestions?
I'm on a PC with Win 7 with the latest Itune/Quicktime update already installed.

Is the video in High Definition? If so, you'll need to download the compatible SD version and sync that to your iPod Classic.  See this article for more help and information.

  • With New 7.0 how to put movies from Library into iPod??

    Help Please.
I now have 7.0 and usually I drag and drop movies into my ipod from itunes library. I have several short movies already in the ipod and it seems if I want to add more, the ones that are in will be taken out and replaced with the new one. I changed my orriginal movies to m4p and did not keep them in the library, so I think I will lose them when I try to add.
The only way I can think of to do it is to revert back to 6.3, put in the movie and then update again.
Is there any way I can keep my movies in the ipod and add more without losing them?? Any ideas??
    many thanks Chrisie

additional info: I found some hint that the iPad can't take just any old movie format, so I used "Convert to format for iPad", an option i had never seen on iTunes on my imac before. But sadly, even the .m4v format of the movie will not show up on the iPad under iTunes nor under iMovie.
I can certainly take an iPad iMovie trailer to the iMac if I 'finish' it, but it is a final a product, so i would have to break it up into all the little sections again.
So I still cannot seem to move a movie file to the iPad iMovie edit window. All my 'finished' iMovies show up under "movies" on the iPad, but never under the iMovie edit window. Hope that's clear.
I want to use those new trailers with my home video.
    NEWEST Update, still no joy
I found this tech article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4792 that says i can move an iMovie from iOS to iMovie on my Mac. I followed the steps exactly, but iMovie on teh Mac does not recognize the iMovie Trailer, so the Import button stays grayed out.
    so close.

  • Downloaded movie trailers

First off I apologize if this has been brought up in an earlier post. I have downloaded many movie trailers from the Apple website to my iPod. Few of them show up under the 'Movies' menu of my iPod and the rest only show up in a 'smart' playlist I have set up to include items with the genre 'podcast'. The many that can only be found in my smart playlist cannot be deleted. I manually manage everything on my iPod so I'm not sure if this is the problem. My questions are: why do some downloads show up under 'Movies' on my iPod while others are invisible? How can I delete unwanted trailers from my smart playlist? Thanks for any help you can give me.

So, it proves either nobody knows how to solve this or they just don't care. I can't decide which one is worse...
