  • Help With Scrolling Menu / Button Rollovers

First thank you to anyone who can answer and help with this
    question.
    http://paragon.sortismarketing.com
    - at this link I have created a site with a simple scrolling menu.
Now what I want to happen is when you rollOver the buttons on the
scrolling menu they get larger and then smaller again after you
    roll off them.
I know how to do this with tweening in a non moving
environment, by making them a movie clip instead of button. But for
some reason when I did this in this case it screwed the menu all up
and made it go crazy. Is there a way to do this with action script
that isn't going to screw up the underlying code for the
    scrolling?

You can use the below code also. As your mouse pointer goes
over the down, it will scroll down.
    on(rollOver){
    scrolltext.scroll -= 1;

  • Issue with scrolling menu.

I want to add a different background wallpaper on the white that allows you to view more of the image as you scroll. How can I acieve this effect in Muse? Here is a link of what I currently have. http://rotnerds.businesscatalyst.com/index.html
Also how can I achieve both menus to stay at the top pin as you scroll through more of the page. I would also like the 2nd menu to be highlighed the correct page as you scroll through the page.
    Thanks!

  • Scrolling menu with indpendent static text

I was hoping someone would be able to help me, im not very
experienced, but i learn pretty quickly.
    This
is a screenshot of my menu, it is a horizontal scrolling menu. Upon
rollover, the icons glow red. I copied the actionscript from
    something i found online.
I need static text to appear in the bottom section when each
icon is selected, thus labeling the icon. I've tried different
things, but each time the text would move horizontally as the icons
do. I need the text to exsist independently from the menu, but i
have no idea how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can provide the FLA file if needed.
this is the action script i have placed on the menu, i dont
    know if it will help

you will need to create a 'dynamic' text field in the
position that you want there, and then assign text to the field on
rollOver of the button clip. You can control the text assignment
from within the onRollOver and onRollOut handlers. Something like

How can I stick an accordion navigation MENU on top of a mobile scrolling page and make it work properly?
As I can't pin it, I keep it on top of the page with scroll effect 0.
It collapse, shows the menu buttons but doesn't close back once it reaches the anchorpoint.

Muse won't let you, at least not that I know of. You could find the class in the code that muse gives it position: fixed…I think. You could paste it into the head area of your page properties to override the class. I believe something like this would give you persistent nav bar, pinned at the very top, on mobile:
    #youmuseclass {position: fixed;}
I wouldn't use any parallax on mobile either, the performance is terrible.

  • Nokia N8 with Belle : where is the scroll menu to ...

It may sound like a dumb question but after the troublesome update to Belle ( it deleted many apps from my phone, and also my phonebook and mixed up things here and there), I am not able anymore to find the scroll menu where you can see the open apps (so that you can close them too). Where is it?
    Solved!

What is your product code?  Also you can visit nokia site and see the availability for your product code. if it is a swap phone, you may have to take it to Nokia Care to get it updated.

  • Help with Horizontal Menu Bar in IE

I am having trouble with my menu bar in IE.  It works fine in Opera, Firefox, and Safari.  In IE when you hover over it it opens on the left hand side and not straight down.  I have tried many things others have suggested with no luck.  I am not very good with code and this is the first website I have worked on as part of my job (wasn't hired on as a web designer! I work on a horse farm!). Here is the link to the site www.garnercreekfarms.com.

    SpryMenuBar.js
This file handles the JavaScript for Spry Menu Bar.  You should have no need
to edit this file.  Some highlights of the MenuBar object is that timers are
used to keep submenus from showing up until the user has hovered over the parent
menu item for some time, as well as a timer for when they leave a submenu to keep
showing that submenu until the timer fires.

    Alyssa,
Have you tried putting this rule back as it was originally:
/* Submenu that is showing with class designation MenuBarSubmenuVisible, we set left to auto so it comes onto the screen below its parent menu item */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul.MenuBarSubmenuVisible
        left: auto; /*was 9px*/
        color: #EF9CCF;
        background-color: #FFF;
That is, changing your 9px back to auto.
And giving  us a link (as you did) is much better than printing out the code for us! Thanks!
    Beth

  • I am looking at online tutorials about parallax scrolling websites but I have a fully updated version via Adobe Cloud. I'm on Windows 8.1 but my Muse doesn't have the 'fill/scroll' menu. Why? Is it only a Mac option?

I want to create and offer a scrolling website for a restaurant client but I am confused by online tutorials that show a drop down menu with either fill or scroll.  I have checked for updates but I am fully up to date.  Does anyone know why I cannot access this scrolling menu please?

    Hi Vivek,
Thank you for your kind advice which I greatly appreciate.  However, I think I have solved most of my problems by signing up with Train Simple on a $9 per month technical learning course.  Within a few minutes I was able to locate the fill - scroll menu by simply clicking on the actual text of fill - which for some reason I didn't know about!.  I stayed with the Muse fundamental course all day today and covered everything to do in Muse in great detail.  I am now looking forward to the single page website learning experience with scrolling!

  • Help with Spry Menu - stopped working

    Dear Forum,
I used a Spry Horizonatal Bar menu successfully in a site I
am building. After I modified it to suit my needs it was working
fine (changed colors, font, variable width box, modified hacks for
IE6) until I did some code cleaning to achieve WC3 validation. I
had to change many things in the code, but as far as I am aware
nothing was even remotely tied to the menu. After several passages
I realized with horror that the menu (still there) are not working
anymore. The pull down does not work. I attach the link of the test
    site here:
    site
Is anyone able to tell me what's not ok in it. I must point
out that senpai.js do not exists; should i remove that lin of code
(I am wondering if it does create a conflict - I removed it but to
no effect, then decided to put it back so I can show you the site
    as it is).
I would appreciate any help, I am not expert, this is my
first site and I am sure I am doing something silly; if I just knew
what it is! I am getting mad trying to progress with this. Now I
have valid code, with a menu not working! Not too good as you can
    see.
    Help, ideas anyone?
    Thanks in advance!
    A

    syavar: Brilliant!
I'm on Windows 7 64bit and this Pages panel stuff was driving me nuts: thumbnails at the far right, snapping shut panel when attempting to resize, no scroll bar, blank panel, everything poopy. I tried all the standard deviations: uninstall/reinstall, new workspace, Ctrl+Shift+Alt on startup, delete files manually, and only ocassionally did the Pages panel work as expected, then it would almost immediately revert to bad stuff.
Your solution worked like a charm, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart...<G>

  • HELP-40GB i-pod with scrolling click wheel

ok first of all, i got this new computer. I dowloaded itunes onto it. I want to plug in my i-pod into my new comp but im afraid that all my songs will be deleted. I have all my songs on my other computer, but the other computer isnt working. I also need to plug it into the new comp because a little folder with the ! comes up every once and a while. Also, my i-pod begins to play a song then it stops and it goes to the next song, this is related with the menu icon and the !. Now all of a sudden i press the MENU button and the apple logo pops up then it just turns back off. WHAT DO I DO? i want to keep all my songs, but at the same time im afraid that if i plug it into the new comp all my songs will disappear. Also why is my i-pod just shutting off when i turn it on?
I-pod with the scrolling click wheel   Windows XP

The first thing that anyone is going to suggest to you in respect of the folder and ! error is to reset your iPod and/or restore it. Restoring the iPod will erase anything that's stored on it and return it to factory settings. You may not have any choice but to do this.

  • I need to restore my 3Gs to a previous date not reported on the scroll menu : how can I do it ?

I need to restore my iPhone 3GS to e previous date than that reported on the scroll menu : how can i do that ?
I lost all my contacts because , due to a my mistake , I sincronized iPhone with the empty Outlook inside of my Windows cmptr .
Is there any chance available ?
    Thanks : db

    No.
If there is no backup available for that date, then there is nothing you can do.
Your contacts should be on your computer in whatver contact program you use.

  • Clearing the Finder "Open With" contextual menu ?

After the install I now have duplicates of all the stuff I used to have in the open with menu.
Like VLC and then under it VLC (version number).
    How do I clear it?

    As seen here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305627
*Mac OS X: Clearing the Finder "Open With" contextual menu*
Ever wondered how to "clear" the Finder's Open With... contextual menu choices of any extraneous or older applications? (This is the menu that appears when you control-click or "right-click" a document icon.)
If your Open With... menu is filled with too many choices to easily scroll through, you can remove the less-commonly used choices. These steps will clear the list except for the most current applications that can open your document.
From the Finder Go menu, choose Home.
Open the Library folder in the Home window.
    Open the Preferences folder.
    Find com.apple.LaunchServices.plist.
Rename "com.apple.LaunchServices", such as to "com.apple.LaunchServices.old", or move it to the Trash.
The next time you use the Open With.... contextual menu in the Finder, only current applications will be listed. Some items may return if the application that controls them adds itself back to the list.

  • Clean up Finder "Open With" contextual menu in Yosemite

How do I clean up the Finder "Open With" contextual menu in Yosemite? I have several duplicate and obsolete entries in mine. There are several articles out there that show how to do this for previous versions of Mac OS X, but the instructions don't line up with what I see in Yosemite.
Also, the entries I have in the menu are from a version of Windows through a version of VMware Fusion, both of which versions I haven't used in a long while. I did a clean install of Yosemite this morning (on an erased disk) so I'm curious how the menu was populated. Did it somehow get inherited through the iCloud Keychain?
    Thanks for any help!

I don't know why you would be having a problem with JDK1.5. Try deleting all your .class files. Maybe you have a garbage class file lying around that is causing problems.
