Movies don't Sync

For some reason after I selected the movies I wanted and tried to sync them with my ipod, I got an error that said they couldn't be copied. I don't understand why because the files are MP4 with the H.264 codec. I've had movies sync before, but for some reason something changed and I can't tell what. I have a first gen ipod touch with software version 2.2.1 and itunes 9.0.1.8. Please help if you can.

That may not be enough, matters like bit rate and resolution count also.
Right click on the movies in iTunes and select Convert to IPod/iPhone (Do not select Apple TV unless you have an Apple TV you want to view them on.).
Let us know what happens.

Hi all,
I have a very annoying problem and can't get it figured out.
I'm hoping to find someone who has had the same problems and knows the fix......
1st things 1st,
I have a MBP and an iPad 2. Both run the newest OS and software.
For my work I make some screen recordings on my pc every now and then.
After recording, I copy them over to my mac, use QT to trim them and then convert them all to the SAME MP4 format using handbrake.
I then throw them in different folders in iphoto which are set up to sync with the iPad in iTunes.
The strange problem is, some of them show up on my ipad in the photos app, some dont.
They are all around the 1 to 2 mins. mark, so no problem there.
As I said, all are converted to the same format and play in iphoto on my MBP no problem when tested.
So, what gives????
Even stranger; Sometimes I re-trim the non syncing ones on my mac and take of a couple of tenths of a second, after which, sometimes, they do get synced to the iPad. Unfortunately this does not always work
So, to sum up:
All these movies are:
From the same source
Converted by the same program to the same format
About the same length
all play on QT and in iPhoto on the MBP
I hope someone can shed some light on this one, but I suspect this is a (pretty big) bug in iTunes.

Some movies and songs on iTunes don't sync on iPod

I downloaded lots of songs and movies, but some (and mainly the movies) don't sync on my iPod. I thought this was normal but this time i downloaded so many movies and like 2 got on my iPod that i'm getting pist off! The movies are just normal quicktime mp4 files and they do go in to iTunes but not on my ipod...
So please help me, does someone knows a solution?

In the iTunes Sync Movies window, I've enabled the check-boxes for the movies I want to sync to the iPad2. And in the column Include Movies From Playlists, I have enabled my Movies playlist.
But only some of the checked movies sync! The movies are either Quicktime or MPEG-4. Some of each format sync, some of each format don't sync.
How can I get all my checked movies onto the iPad?

In the Kind column of iTunes, it says "QuickTime movie file" or "MPEG-4 movie file". When you pull a "QuickTime movie file" onto the desktop, there it shows the extension as .mov.

My iTunes purchased movies will not sync to the New iPad(3) even though I have an HD version and an SD version. Are there specs somewhere for media files?

I have purchased a few movies in iTunes on the MacBook Pro and after dowloading, I am not able to sync them to my new iPad. I look at the contents of the download and I have an HD file and an SD file, I assumed it would sync the SD file automatically if it cannot handle the HD on the device (although it should be able to).
What are the different reasons a movie won't sync to iPad (frame rate, file size, definition, etc.) and what are the options to make these files compatable with my iPad? Can I rip them again or run them through a conversion utility? Is there a setting in iTunes somewhere I am missing?
Is there a post somewhere thatr already covers this? If so, I can't find it. Would be great to have a baseline of what can be handled by device so I can figure out how to make my media compatable.

I'd suggest converting your old videos to one of those formats
handbrake is a free program which does this for you
itunes used to be able to too when I right clicked incompatible media but don't see the option any more
or maybe it only show when one right click incompatible media and currently my lib don't have any
about the music then it's odd what formats are they?
if they are acc protected have you tried to remove the DRM this can be don using itunes as

I had the same issue. What I did was save the movies on a thrid-party app like Download Manager Lite. Once downloaded, go back to itunes, go to your iDevice, go to apps and transfer the app, then scroll down and click on the app and from there you can send the movies to that app and WILL play. Can only hold up to 8 videos/movies (this is for iPod Touch 3G or better, iPhone 3s or better, iPad requires iOS 4.3 or better)

From other ipod (nano, classic): I don't remember.
If your just putting them on iTunes, it should show and play on iTunes no problem.

Why is my 1080p24 movie out of sync?

I mastered a video on final cut pro which was shot at 1080p24. I carried that format through to an exported final cut movie which plays fine in quicktime. When I place it into IDVD (no menu just play form start) it is out of sync. I looked for settings that might fix it but saw none. A friend told me he has done this before with no problem. I have never worked with 24 frame media before, and am at a loss. Does something need to be changed when I output from FCP so that I can burn a DVD in sync?

As I get it DVD-standard is either PAL (25fps) or NTSC (29.97fps)
24fps will result in "Out of Sync"
Convert Your material into PAL or NTSC via Compressor (best I know of) in Your

Movies won't sync to iPhone

I have an iPhone 4S running the latest software. I am using the latest iTunes on Mac OS X Lion. I like to have iTunes pull old movies off of my phone and add new ones. However, lately my movies won't sync. iTunes goes through the full sync process with no errors, but when I open Videos on the iPhone, nothing has changed. Sometimes the new movies will appear but be all grayed out with no way to watch them. Clicking on the iPhone icon in iTunes shows that the movies are on the phone, but if I go into the Usage section on the phone, they won't be there. No matter how many times I sync, the movies never update. I have tried restarting the phone before a sync, but that doesn't work either. It doesn't matter if the sync is wifi or USB. I have also tried unclicking the sync movies box in iTunes to have it start from scratch, but the grayed out movies stay there. The only thing that works is to turn off iTunes Match on the phone, turn off syncing all media in iTunes, sync, turn off syncing all media in iTunes again, sync again, reselect the media for syncing in iTunes again, sync one more time, and then turn iTunes Match back on. And I'm not even sure that works every time.

How did a bug solve the problem?
I experience the same problem with covers - the problem is ages old and nothing gets done to fix or at least explain it - :-(
iOS8.1 does not fix this awful awful bug :-(

Im just guessing but it seems like you would have to get your movie into the correct folder on a computer then use iTunes to sync it to your iPad. If you've synced to a computer and have movies then on your computer should be a folder with the movie in it. You could export your iMovie to something like Dropbox then download from Dropbox to the folder you think it needs to be in the sync your iPad again. Again this is just a guess. Others may have a better answer.

I get the message that these songs and movies are not authorized to play on this computer. The computer is authorized and the songs and movies will play on the computer but will not sync to Apple TV
Any advice is aproeciated.

Yes they do.
They origialnally played just fine. I moved my entire iTunes library to a new computer and now only 62 songs, out of over 2000, and two of four movies won't sync. All songs and movies are in same folders and same format.
I already selected "keep iTunes media folder organized" and "copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library"
using iTunes 10.7 and OSX 10.8.2

ITunes movies no longer sync from Dell laptop or MacBook Pros (both authorized devices) to iPhone 6s or iPad Air 2s after configured at Apple store yesterday. In the past I could see the movies in iTunes with the cover photo and sync.

iTunes movies no longer sync from Dell laptop or MacBook Pros (both authorized devices) to iPhone 6s or iPad Air 2s after configured at Apple store yesterday. In the past I could see the movies in iTunes with the cover photo and sync to the other devices but now there is a listing a movies with no cover photos and in fact if I try to view the movie on the MacBook Pro it cannot be found unless I download it.

All I had to do was complain. I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store. I have no idea why.

Windows 8.1 IE don't sync tabs, pinned site, password, ecc

I have 4 Windows 8.1 pro where pinned site, tabs, password, ecc don't sync across device.
3 machine are SMB 2011 Essentials domain joined, the other one, a virtual machine, is not a domain joined.
Sometimes the tabs sync but there are old one mixed with a new one.
The first time I joined the domain account with the Microsoft Account the pinned site sync worked but then stopped.
The favorites sometimes sync, sometimes don't.
I'm quite sure the password don't sync.
All the other Windows 8 setting sync.
I have tried to disable/enable all the sync option, reset the personal setting on this site

In the last 2 days I did some intensive test.
I found that the desktop don't sync very well.
Looks like the Other machines sync (maybe very slowly but they sync).
On the desktop this morning I found all the favorites, pinned site, tabs, ecc but then stopped.
I found this error in the event viewer
