Mozilla is open and 'responding' but remains minimized and refuses to work. Any idea how to fix it?

Furthermore, mousing over mozilla doesn't show a regular window, but a snippet of the top of one. I've restarted both mozilla and my PC multiple times, to no avail.

The Firefox window might be off screen. If you make Firefox active, even though you can't see it, and press the following keys, can you get the window maximized?
Alt+Spacebar<br>

<u>'''If you do get a maximized Firefox Window, you can use this trick: '''</u>
(1) Copy the following line of code to the clipboard:
newwin=window.open(window.location.href);newwin.moveTo(0,0);
(2) In the maximized window, press Ctrl+Shift+k to open the web console.
(3) Press Ctrl+v to paste the line of code then press Enter to run it. A new copy of that page should open in a window positioned at the top left of the screen.
(4) Switch back to the maximized window and close it first, before doing anything in the new window.
<u>'''If you do not get a Firefox window, try renaming or deleting the settings file which stores the last window position.'''</u>
This also will clear any changes you've made to the toolbars.
(1) Exit Firefox (if necessary, right-click the task bar icon and Close all windows)
(2) Open your active Firefox settings (AKA Profile) folder: from the Windows 7 Start menu, type or paste the following into the search box and press Enter to launch the folder:
%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
If you only have one folder, it's easy, just double-click into that folder. If you have multiple folders, look for the most recently updated one.
(3) Rename '''localstore.rdf''' to something else, like localstore-bad.rdf or localstore.old. Alternately, you can delete the file.
(4) You're done with your profile folder and you can restart Firefox now. Does the window appear normally?
