Mp3 player, please help

I want to write and Mp3 player in Java. For now I just want it to work in the command line and I will add the GUI later. The basic functionality I want is play, pause/stop, fast forward and rewind, volume up/down. I have heard that Java.Sound used to have a built in mp3 player but that they took it out because of copyright issues. Too bad.
I have allready found some nice tutorials on how to play Wav files. I really need to find a good decoder that can convert in real time and use it in my program. Also fast forward and rewind is giving me problems even with a basic wave file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Especially if someone can provide some source code for a very basic Mp3 player.Thank you.

I too am interested in writing a Mp3 player but am unsure what is the best programming language to write it in. Java is my prefered language, but it seems that it will not be posssible as their are no mp3 libraries that support mp3 file playing in the current version of java.
I could use javazoom support classes but I prefer to write the programme myself.
So when will Sun re-release java, so it can play mp3 files?
Or what other language would be apporiate for a mp3 player?

If you downloaded it, it's likely in your Downloads folder as a Disk Image .dmg. Just open it and intall Flash player and restart your browser. Everything should work.

Putting my music on an MP3 player. HELP!

I'm a new user to ITunes and I cannot figure out how to put my music on the MP3 Player. Can someone please help me figure this out?

You would have to read the directions that came with yout mp3 player.

hello, received my new creative zen nano plus MP3 GB player today, looked forward to getting it before my holiday, it arri'ved, thought I would have Music on it by now but NO.
For the life of me - I can't do it. I have spent all afternoon doing it and driving me nuts now.
PLEASE help...... I looked at the intructions, but still no.
I have them ripped from CD, in WMA and also in MP3. Then moved them to Library. Then dragged them to F: creative zen folder. I viewed the folder and saw them, removed the MP3 player from USB port and when I looked at music symbol using scroll it said no recording.
Fed up with it already. Need advice......also is if I get there, is WMA better then MP3

Big problem installing Adobe Flash Player, please help?

Please help. I tried to download Adobe Flash Player 5 times without success. Every time it states Installation succeeded, but I can't find it anywhere.
I have to keep closing and opening Browsers without any reaction of the so called installed Flash Player. What a mess!

Flash is installed as a browser plugin. You won't see it as an app in OS X. If you go here it will tell you if flash is installed and working. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

The volume bar only increases the volume the first time..
after subsequent tries it neither increases nor decreases...
The playPause_mc button pauses but doesn't play again when

HI GUYS I HAD LOTSA MESSING WITH NO SOUND IN FLASH PLAYER 10.VIDEO AT FIRST THEN NOTHIN AT ALL.
THEN AFTER UNINSTALLING AND THEN RE INSTALLING ,ICHECKED AGAIN ,YET AGAIN NO VODEO /OR SOUND. I THEN WENT TO TOOL BAR,CLICKED ON TOOL OPTION AND CHECKED THAT FLASH PLAYER WAS ENABLED ,BELIEVE IT IT WAS NOT. I ENABLED FLAS PLAYER THEN WENT BACK ON YOU TUBE AND WOW __EE THERE IT WAS WORKING LIKE A REAL GOOD ONE

Cannot download flash player (please help)

recently i have bought a mac and I have tried to download flash player but it doesn't work at all. I go to their website and download, follow every single step until the end, then it says that it was installed successfully. however when i want to watch a video it says that i don't have flash player, although I've followed all the steps to download it.
i have os x Yosemite version 10.10.1. Please help.

I have two solutions for your reference!!!
1.Pressing enter "FM / A->B key" + "REC key" will power off!! open power and try again...
2.Firmware update!!! please confirm your mega player is 515 or 515 Lite.
Firmware update process:
1.Please download and install the latest firmware and driver!!

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

Problems with me MP3 player, please he

I went to upgrade to the new MTP firmware, and in the middle of installation I recieved a "Firmware Problem" error. The computer, any creative software, and any firmware does not recognize the device. When I turn on my Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra I get a "Firmware Problem" screen that drops me to the Rescue Mode menu.
How do I get me MP3 player back?

What OS are you using?What is/was your version of your firmware?In win XP, I had some problems getting the darn thing back to work but eventually got it (it actually wasn't that hard, but that no thanks to Creative but to the feedback of other users?on this forum). What you may need to do, is read the message threads from Rich_T. He went through the same problem and that solved his problem. The good news is that you will get it to work. So check out those threads and replies on those threads, and you should be in good shape. If you still don't get it to work, send me a private message, and I'll send you a list of steps what you need to do. The thing I had to go through was simply uninstall Win Media Player (Player, and then the run time with roll back) but only after the stupid installation crashes!!?After you uninstall this, you should be able to upgrade your firmware, and then get it to work. Problems with Ipod and Windows Media Player PLEASE HELP

Ok i am not sure if this is the correct forum or not but i am having a problem. I have a Windows computer (Yes a windows computer please dont everyone yell at me) and i have a new ipod 30 gig video. Ok well when i put itunes on it changes all my music on my computer gets changed to AAC format and i cannot play music in windows media player. Ok well that is not my big issue. I make videos for church using windows movie maker and i cannot import music because nothing windows can recognize Itunes format which is AAC. well is there anyway so i can use itunes and still use WIndows Media Player and Windows Movie Maker... Any info will be greatly appreciated. THANKS ALL

I believe Quicktime Pro (which is available for Windoze) is capable of opening any WMP files and then you just export it as iPod format. That is how I get video onto the iPod. The Music and Videos all can be placed onto your iPod through iTunes.
So, if you are creating videos in your program, and want them on your iPod, then that is how you can do it.
Videos on your iPod have nothing to do with the formatting of your music. But, as the earlier post stated, change your prefs in iTunes to import as MP3. But, your videos HAVE to be in MP4 or M4V format to work on the iPod.

This may not be a Firefox problem as such. It may well be that you do not have administrative rights to install FlashPlayer, or for some reason security software is causing a problem. Exactly what do you mean by ''It won't let me download it.'' possibly any error or warning messages you get will be meaningful; what are they ?

Presumably you could use Internet Explorer, does that work with the radio stations ? note IR & Firefox are likely to need separate installs of flash Player, and certainly you will need to test each browser separately for flash Player functionality.
