Mp3 player problem

Does anyone know if I can use iTunes for my Sansa e260 mp3 player? I've downloaded iTunes, but can't seem to find where to add the player to download songs onto it. Thank You.

Rsync/unison to/with mp3-player, problem with permissions

Hi,
I'm trying to sync my music database with my mp3-player via rsync or unison, but both complain about the mp3 being a read-only device (It's detected as a FAT32 harddrive, btw.).
The interesting thing is: It is not mounted read-only. I can copy music onto it just fine via e.g. thunar, only the two sync programs complain.
What could be the problem?

The error messages are variations of:
rsync: chgrp "/media/path/to/file/on/mp3" failed: Read-only file system (30)
Seems like it's permissions-related, so maybe I should get rid of the "keep permissions" option implied in rsync -a. I'll try that and the udev rule, thanks.
Another thing: Unison takes AGES to check for changes (and I do mean ages, ~10s per file). Is that normal?

I haven't played around with the rsync-options yet. I tried the udev rule though, didn't help. One thing is strange: the rule sets gid=100(=users), but all the dirs/files on the device are <mylogin>:root owned. Shouldn't that be <mylogin>:users?

Mp3 player problems on mac os

Hi!
I'm newbie in flex and I have a problem when I run flex mp3
player on mac OS. Here is the site where I get the player.

There are no problems in windows OS. The problem in mac is it you
will need to click stop button first and after that click now the
play button. But in windows you will only click the play button. Is
there something wrong in the code? Or I will need to install
plugins for MAC.

How should I fix this one Flash mp3 player problem?

First of all, I'm just learning Flash, so bear with me. To deliver music content on a little website, I'm using the original Fabricio Zuard XSPF_player from Sourceforge.net. The version of the player that plays more than one song is supposed to also display the relevant album cover on the left. This works fine with FireFox 3.6, IE 8, and Opera 11 (all on Windows XP Pro sp3).
But on Google Chrome, the song links go all the way to the left including the space where the cover image should be. Can someone more experienced help me diagnose this? One person has suggested a Javascript problem, but the only Javascript I'm using is SWFObject, which appears to have a good reputation, and doesn't have anything to do with the player's internal appearance.

As you suggested, I used Flash (CS5) to publish an html. Tested in Firefox the cover is shown, but tested in Google I still get only the links to the songs. Can you suggest my next step?

Sigmatel MSCN MP3 player PROBLEM!! PLEASE HE

I have had my mp3 for about 6 months and all of a sudden out of the blue.. i connected my mp3 into the usb and normally, as i have XP, it would appear as the mp3 and give me options what i would like to do with it. But now when i connect it, it comes up as STMP3500!? It doesnt appear in my computer either. It asks for a driver which is strange for XP. i downloaded the software cd and loaded the drivers. And i also downloaded the firmware.
When i attempt to run the firmware it prompts that the device has"timed out." I have tried formatting its but it then appears and error saying "cannot lock device."
I cannot return my mp3 to the store as warranty has expired.:angry:
Any tips?

It sounds like your player may be entering into recovery mode because what you are seeing is the recovery mode device setup (only without MuVo N200 drivers installed it will show up as a STMP). Go download drivers for the player and try reconnecting it while holding down the play/pause button. This should get detected as a player recovery device. Now go download the latest firmware update for it and flash the player. At that point you can unplug the player and reconnect it as normal. See if it starts working at that point. If not you will want to contact support directly.

Nokia 6230i Mp3 Player Problem

Well Fair enough, I put some music onto my mobile from the Pc Suite and plugged in the nokia headphones (That Came With The Mobile)
It only played out the right Speaker(Ear) Why>?? So i looked for awhile for an option that could switch it to sterio or something, No option found for that. Has anyone had this problem before or know how to fix it?
I tested multiple files onto the mobile. All in .mp3 format

It is indeed a bit difficult to know exactly whats the problem since the phone not with me. However only thing I suggest that ensure that you have copied the file that is fully compatible to play on 6230i. IF you still feel you have copied the right file the option left now is to visit a Nokia Care

TS1424 I have 2 artists - beyonce and celine dion - songs in my itunes library on my computer but when I try and download to my mp3 player it says I do not have media rights. Only these 4 songs have that problem.

I have 2 artists - Beyonce and Celine Dion - their purchased songs in my ITunes library cannot be imported to my MP3 player. My other 200 songs have no problems. Get a message that there are no "Media Rights". I have no idea how to solve.

To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them.

Problems with me MP3 player, please he

I went to upgrade to the new MTP firmware, and in the middle of installation I recieved a "Firmware Problem" error. The computer, any creative software, and any firmware does not recognize the device. When I turn on my Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra I get a "Firmware Problem" screen that drops me to the Rescue Mode menu.
How do I get me MP3 player back?

What OS are you using?What is/was your version of your firmware?In win XP, I had some problems getting the darn thing back to work but eventually got it (it actually wasn't that hard, but that no thanks to Creative but to the feedback of other users?on this forum). What you may need to do, is read the message threads from Rich_T. He went through the same problem and that solved his problem. The good news is that you will get it to work. So check out those threads and replies on those threads, and you should be in good shape. If you still don't get it to work, send me a private message, and I'll send you a list of steps what you need to do. The thing I had to go through was simply uninstall Win Media Player (Player, and then the run time with roll back) but only after the stupid installation crashes!!?After you uninstall this, you should be able to upgrade your firmware, and then get it to work. Mp3 player DMP FX100 problem

Hello. I li've in U.K. Edinburgh. I brought Creative's mp3 player- DMP FX00 today. It is a Digital MP3 Player. My one is 52MB which cost me 60 pounds in Argos. Also I got Muvo TX 28MB(2004 March in Dixons), V200 GB(2005 June in Dixons), Muvo2 5GB(2005 Feb in Dixons), N200 52MB(2005 July in Argos) and Zen nano plus GB(2005 Nov in Argos).
I love creative's player very much. Because of the good equalizer and it can display Japanese, Korean as well.
But I got a problem with the DMP FX00. I was switch on the equalizer and same as the 5 creative's player I got. They are : 62 is +4, 250 is +7, K is 0, 6K is -7 at last 6K is -4. The headphone I using is Sony EX7.
I love the sound, strong bass and good treble too.
Nevertheless the DMP FX00 sound is rubbish. The bass is not strong at all and the treble too high. Very noise. I don't know what can I with it. I am very sad for that. Moreover I starter disappoint with Creative's Mp3 player. The equalizer is not work too good.
Can anyone tell me what wrong with the equalizer of the DMP FX00, please?

.mp3 files that used to play now say 'the file is corrupt' but they play fine in google crome. Do you have problems with your default mp3 player?

I've posted a number of mp3 file links on our website. All have been functioning and playing well until this week, they are no longer playing when clicked on. The new tab opens, thinks, then says that the "video cannot be played because the file is corrupt". These files are able to be downloaded and played from individual computers and will play fine in other browsers - such as Google Chrome.
Not sure if there is an issue with Firefox default mp3 player?

I assume that this is because of the way the MP3 file is encoded.
Sample rate: 22050 Hz
Bitrate: 32 kb/s
If I open the file in a tab then I see a media player, but inspecting the page source shows a video tag with no source attribute, so Firefox seems to have a problem with decoding the media header despite the audio/mpeg content type.
I don't know what to do about this apart from playing the file in an external player or play the file via an object or embed tag to make Firefox use a plugin.
Using a bookmarklet like this to force an audio tag doesn't work as well:

Problems with my KM4M-L and my MP3 Player

I recently reformatted my hard drive and re-installed all OS and programs in hopes of solving a problem with my sound board.
After the re-install I began noticing that my mp3 player would crash the explorer whenever I connected it and tried to open windows explorer to move files into it.
The player is a Zen Touch and uses USB 2.0. Does anyone have any ideas what I could do to fix this problem? It was working fine before re-installing everything so I know the hardware is not the problem.

Umm... no psu problems. I have an Antec truepower 430, and I am (fortunately) not having any sound problems. The problem seems to come from plugging the player into the usb and then trying to get windows to recognize what's on the computer (ide-floppy and usb)
I checked creative labs and as of yet, have not received a decent reply, other than "check that your drivers are up to date".

Problems Starting Up: Zen Vision M mp3 player

I have a Zen Vision M mp3 player (30gb) and for quite some time now I have had a problem with it starting up. It takes literally 0 minutes for it to start up, all the while it's loading on the Zen start screen. Once that happens and it turns off again and I use it shortly after (say after my class gets out an hour later) it has no problem starting up at all. But by the time I use it again the next day (or any substantial amount of time later) it has the same problem.
Can anyone tell me if there's a way to fix this problem? I've had this mp3 player for years and it has been very good to me.. I know I could just get a new one but otherwise it's in great condition still!!!

Have you tried going into the Recovery menu and doing a Clean Up?
To get into the Recovery menu, press the Reset button and turn on the player at the same time. The Rest button is in the hole at the bottom of the player, not the hole on the side.
You won't lose any data when selecting Clean Up. You may lose your bookmarks.

I am building an MP3 player in action script 3, and I need to have the player request a random song file from a folder on my server. There are many song files in the folder, but the purpose is to allow users to rate the songs (at which point ill use ajax for rating). The following code is what I have so far, can anyone help me out?

How can I fix 2121 sandbox security error, local swf MP3 player test calls MP3's from website?

1st Issue. I am a new user and am fighting #2121, #2044 & #2048 Flash security errors in getting an MP3 player to work as I test the fla file in Flash CS4 on my local computer. The fla in Flash and swf in Dreamweaver calls mp3 files from our host server on the internet.
After reading various sparce posts and Adobe articles on this issue, I have added a crossdomain.xml file at our websites root (see file below) and added the code, flash.system.Security.allowDomain in line 1 of the action script of the flash fla to allow our site access (-see script below). These efforts have helped get the player to work better on our test site.
But, I am still getting the 2121 error within Flash CS4 as I debug the player or play the swf in live view within Dreamweaver. Playing the fla or swf will lock-up the Flash 10 player and crash the program. I am having the mp3 player access the mp3 files from our web site as I test the fla.
Here is the debug message I am getting:

Do you have the standard or debug player installed? Such errors should not occur with the standard player.
