I tried the source (.m4a) above. The sound was played only the first time. So, I think following code is better.

Hello,
I noticed a problem while create a new OSB domain with Oracle Service Bus 10gR3 on Solaris 10 (intel-based).
This domain is composed of two managed servers deployed on a cluster.
I have configured the JMS reporting data sources to use an Oracle 10g (XE) database (driver Oracle Thin (non XA)) installed on a remote server.
While trying to start my managed servers, the startup process of these managed servers failed due to a data source problem on "wlsbjmsrpDataSource" or "cgDataSource-nonXA".
The workaround I found is to delete and recreate (through the WLS console) the data sources "wlsbjmsrpDataSource", "cgDataSource-nonXA" and "cgDataSource".
In this situation, my managed servers can be started properly.
Is it a known problem located on the configuration wizard?

For the answer.
I fully understand that those datasources are default ones and are mainly related to JMS reporting.
But my question was probably not well expressed.
The problem I had is when the domain is created, the managed servers won't start due to problems related to theses datasources.
The workaround I found is to delete and to create those datasources from the WLS console.
In this situation, the managed servers are able to be started.
I want to know if this is a known problem/limitation of OSB 10gR3 with Solaris 10 and Oracle 10g?

Mp3 duplication problem

For some reason my .mp3 files show up twice and in some cases three times in the media player. The strange thing is that I've tried to delete all music files and they still show up. I also tried doing a complete erase of all data using the Pre erase function and the mp3's all show up again when installed apps sync up again. It's like all mp3's have been merged with application data and sync'd to my profile.
Has anyone else run into this?

Creative Media Source problem with removable hardd

Hi,
I have my mp3 files stored on a external harddisk, using the following folder structure:
f:\mein musik\artist\ album\*.mp3. The problem I have is that the Creative Media Source program keeps forgetting that my "mein musik" folder contains the mp3 files that I'd imported before in my "PC Music Library". Just for info: I "told" Media Source to keep the PC Library in folder f:\mein musik.
Every time I restart my PC, the PC Music Library shows no mp3 tracks at all, even though my external harddisk is connected. This is of course extremely annoying because it takes many minutes before my +/- 3000 mp3 tracks are imported again.
What could be he cause of this problem and how could I overcome this? Would I need to use for my PC Library a folder that is located on my "normal" internal harddisk?

I believe the Media Sniffer feature of your MediaSource is enabled to sniff your external hard disk folders. Try disabling the sniffing of your external hard disk.

Creative media source problems!!! plz h

I am having issues with the creative media source program.
every time i attempt to transfer mp3 files to the player the program crashes and i have to close the program and start over. i get one file on ok but after that it crashes. i cant find an update to the program on the website. please let me know what i should do

I am also having the same problem and I thought about reinstalling Media Source (I have thet latest version), my only fear is that I have almost 3000, which are backed on an external dri've, but these songs are all?TAGGED, rated and?all have album art, am I going to lose all this info if I reinstall Media Source?Also, do I have to uninstall first and then reinstall and just install over the previous version?

Microphone Input Source Problem

This is a real bummer. I have 4 input options on my
computer: Line-In, Microphone, External Mic, Internal Mic. (btw, I
also have Captivate version 3)
The problem comes once I launch Captivate, because as soon as
that happens, my microphone can only be recorded while the
"External Mic" input source is checked. But Input Source settings
inside Captivate only gives the selection of Line-In or Microphone,
and my System Audio is greyed out! So whenever I click record, the
default input source on my computer changes to either Line-In or
Microphone, and unchecks that "External Microphone"!!! Then I can't
record...................
Has anyone experienced this problem? Or have found a solution
to this problem??? Please help~~~

It could be this or that and hardware issues are tough to
figure out.
Did you use the audio recording level adjustment setup in
Captivate? You read a sentence and it adjusts the volume setting. A
pre-amp audio level applet.
Start by going to Control Panel and then select The Sound
options. Depending on your version of Windows, the sound control
options may have some additional options on the menubar that allow
you to pick the devices to enable. Things like WAV, Line-in, MP3,
Midi, Etc may be there. Be sure that you have the options that you
want set to enabled. Make sure that MUTE is not checked. Make sure
that the slider is at about 80-90%.
Test a sound recording with Windows Recorder. You can try the
different input devices that you mentioned.
The sound card driver is another interesting place to look.
Lots of computers use SoundMax or Realtek drivers for this (and of
course Creative, Turtle Beach and and other stand-alone sound
cards). Get the latest drivers from the manufacturer. In many cases
pressing the Dell, Lenovo, HP, Etc update button will get you what
you need. Many sound driver updates require a complete uninstall of
the sound driver software and then you must remove the sound card
driver from Control Panel -- System -- Devices. Reboot and
reinstall by picking the location of the revised driver on bootup
at hardware recognition.
In using Captivate 2, I have had no problems with my Lavalier
Shure microphone to Line-in or my USB microphone with Line-in. I
did use the Microphone settings but there was a distinct HUMMmmmm
on my machine so I tried Line-In.
I have a Vista machine that will be tested soon. Seems fine
on XP at this point. But the feedback on Vista from my microphone
manufacturers has been very positive and they note that the Vista
pre-amp is good.
Failing all of the above, look at Adobe for answers. You may
need to cal them and go through this. They may have logged an
experience report-solution that will get you going.
Please report back any solution that works so that others can
benefit from your experience.

Payables Open Interface Program Source Problem

Hello All,
I am trying to import invoice using "Payable Open Interface Program".
I have two Sources from which I am uploading invoices.
Lets say the Sources be A and B. (in the lookup code i have added A and B under Source lookup type).
Now the problem is Payables program is importing successfully for Source A and the program is erroring out for source B.
Can u suggest me what could be the problem here?
Is there any other setup required with respect to sources need to be done?

I am able to upload the invoices now using both the sources.The problem was with source B i was not passing the group name. so i passed the group name and the records are getting uploaded.

IMFSourceReader : is it really possible to accurately seek and read samples from an MP3 source ?

When decoding PCM data from an MP3 from position 0 and in one go there is obviously no problem. However, when I try to seek to a certain position for reading some samples, no matter what I do, the seeking is never accurate and consequently, the produced
output is incorrect.
(My test is quite simple, i do read blocks of 44100 samples until EOF (and do seek between each call); then i do compare the produced output with the original file using an audio editor and a phase scope. The first block is always correct, but over time
it drifts nearly about 20000 samples and it is clearly audible as pseudo delay effect.)
According the
docs, you have to account for that and that's what I did, for instance when seeking to some position, the exact position in buffer starts at offset 576. But when I do check with an audio editor, the returned data is 252 samples later ...
I've also checked my formulas that converts between REFERENCE_TIME and samples but they don't seem to be the problem:

What you are experiencing is expected because an mp3 Layer III frame can be spread over several frames. For a certain bitrate/sampling_rate you can calculate the frame length.
It is either ‘n’, or ‘n+1’, which depends on the padding bit. But, that doesn’t mean that all compressed data will fit in frame_size bytes. Also, sometimes compressed data takes less than frame_size bytes. Therefore, when frame needs to be “overfilled”,
the extra data will be contained within next frame that can accept it. You can find more about this if you search for “bit reservoir”.
So, what happens when you seek is that you are decoding a frame that is missing some data required to be decoded properly because that data is located in one or more previous
frames.

XML Data Source Problem

Web service was created..and it is active
I create DataSource..and I check it.... everything is Ok until here..
By activating the DataSource I got an error

data-source problem error 503

i m using oracle10g database . through jdev-embedded 0c4j , i want to run my strut application . i m having problems with data-source entry.

MapViewer data source problem in the morning

Hi all,
I have the Oracle Application server 10g and Oracle database 10g installed on 2 different computers. On the application server I have installed MapViewer the last version.
I have defined a datasource in the configuration file and that works perfect.
My application uses mapviewer through java and displays the generated image in an jsp. The same working as the demos though.
Each night there is a backup of the database made on the other computer.
The MapViewer/data source remains open through the night. When I come to the office in the morning, and i try to access my webpage with the mapviewer image, I get an
500 Internal Server Error, java.lang.NullPointerException...
I check in the admin page of the map viewer the following:
<list_data_sources /> - The datasource is still defined
<data_source_exists data_source="blabla"/> - The datasource exists
If i try to <list_predefined_themes data_source="blabla" /> I get again an error. It seems that the connection with the database is not working.
If I <redefine_data_source ..> or <restart/> mapviewer everything starts to work again without problems.
I have attached further some erros I have in the log file, maybe it will help you to help me ;-)

Rsync/unison to/with mp3-player, problem with permissions

Hi,
I'm trying to sync my music database with my mp3-player via rsync or unison, but both complain about the mp3 being a read-only device (It's detected as a FAT32 harddrive, btw.).
The interesting thing is: It is not mounted read-only. I can copy music onto it just fine via e.g. thunar, only the two sync programs complain.
What could be the problem?

The error messages are variations of:
rsync: chgrp "/media/path/to/file/on/mp3" failed: Read-only file system (30)
Seems like it's permissions-related, so maybe I should get rid of the "keep permissions" option implied in rsync -a. I'll try that and the udev rule, thanks.
Another thing: Unison takes AGES to check for changes (and I do mean ages, ~10s per file). Is that normal?

rsync: mkstemp "/media/path/to/file/on/mp3/*.ogg.w7qqip" failed: Read-only file system (30)
I haven't played around with the rsync-options yet. I tried the udev rule though, didn't help. One thing is strange: the rule sets gid=100(=users), but all the dirs/files on the device are <mylogin>:root owned. Shouldn't that be <mylogin>:users?

NMH305 mp3 TAG problem on Sony Bravia KDL-40HX700

Hi,
Need some help, i have a NMH305 streaming to a Sony Bravia KDL-40HX700 and have a problem with the mp3 tags for Artist not being shown during playback (always says Unknown) and the same in Bits to.
If start a mp3 file, the covers, the song title and the album name are correctly displayed BUT the Artist name and Bits is a blank field.

JSF & Data source Problem

I wrote my first jsf-adf project as discussed in cue cards in developer 10.1.3 using sql server 2005 , I configed my oc4j and app module as discussed in "Developing Oracle ADF Business Components for a SQL Server Database " paper in the same release of jdeveloper but I have 2 problems

MAC Itunes Mp3 CD Problem

Please Help
I need to burn an Mp3 cd on my mac.
I need some of the songs to play 3 or 4 times, so I cannot use toast unless i change each song names 3 times
So I tried using Itunes Playlist. But none of the 2 equipments I use can read the Cd's burned with Itunes( 1.My Marantz Dvd Player, 2. an Mp3 Cd player with H.D.)
I tried different media, i tried burning 700M and 600Mb of music, slow disk burning,Mp3, Data,. Nothing works!
I used to burn my disks with a PC with no problems ever, I had even found the perfect software, ACOUSTICA FOR PC, which normalized volumes, detected incomplete songs , faded songs which ended abruptly and inserted numbers in the beginningt of each file to burn the same file 2 or 3 times.....
It's frustrating to own a $2000 mac, that should be the best managing music and not being able to Burn a simple Mp3 Disc!!!
Any advice on itunes settings( I already tried Mp3CD and Data Disk) or other software is greatluy appreciated.
I've seen some other posts with the same problem and talking about iso 9660 but not a solution that works. Maybe somebody has solved this!

So, any Idea why some players wont play my mac itunes burned CDs?
Nothing too concrete, unfortunately. It could be because Macs burns hybrid discs (HFS +/ISO 9660) when using the Finder and certain other burning applications, or because sometimes things like .DS_STORE files get burned to data discs and throw certain applications and devices off. An MP3 CD burned with iTunes should be strictly in compliance with ISO 9660, so failure for a device (supporting MP3 CD playback) to play iTunes-generated MP3 CDs is illogical.
Not to drift off topic, but I use OS X and Windows XP every day; I have a PowerMac G4 and a desktop PC in place on the same desk, and I constantly switch back and forth between them doing various things. For most tasks, I favor the Mac, but for anything involving CD/DVD burning, I turn to the PC. This is one area, in my opinion, where Apple is way behind in the game. It's unfortunately a very common complaint to hear someone say that the CD or DVD they burned with a Mac won't work on normal consumer devices, but that the same content burned to disc on a Windows PC works flawlessly.
