Mqseries adapter on platform domain
I've got a problem with BEA WebLogic Adapter for MQSeries, release 7.0. I'm using
Platform Domain and when I try to test the adapter I get this kind of errors:
ERROR [MQService] WMQService: {4.2} NoClassDef exception processing agent XDMQEmitAgent:
com/ibm/mq/MQException
or
ERROR [manager] Can't create MQEvent MQ protocol: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
com/ibm/mq/MQException. Possibly missing jar files.
So it seems that when I start the Platform server, even if the classpath is correctly
set, MQSeries files (e.g. com.ibm.mq.jar) are not loaded.. Also I couldn't find
specific information on how to add MQSeries adapter into this environment. In
the installation guide they only mention how to set up classpaths in wli domain
for adapter library into a file called "SetWliDomainData.cmd". But because I have
Platform Domain, I do not have that file at all and I've modified "startWeblogic.cmd"
file.
I really appreciate any help with this!
Regards, Anna
Given the lack of responses, I take the answer to be, "No, the MQSeries adapter can't read RFH2 headers." It also appears not to have the ability to use a selector like the JMS adapter. I will go back to using the JMS adapter to read from MQSeries queues, although it's changed enough since 10.1.2 that it's almost like using a different adapter as well.

VikramHello Vikram,
Are you using the new WLS 7.0 security framework? It is not supported for
Portal 7.0. For Portal 7.0 apps you have to use compatibility mode (6.x
style) security.

Kiran,
First time around, the Custom realm was not authenticating the user. I gotthe
code to authenticate the user successfully. Now the WebLogic serverwouldn't even
start. It would give me an error message which says "User System is notauthorized
to boot Weblogic Server". For your reference, I am attaching the Log file.My
custom realm classes output some debugging statements in the log file.From the
log file u will see that the users are getting authenticated successfully.
Please let me know if you have a custom realm working for you. I might bemissing
something.
Appreciate your help.

Error encountered while trying to use EJB control in a Platform Domain
Hi,
I've configured a Weblogic Platform domain and installed all the application EJB's
thru a JAR file. When I try to access these EJB's from within Web Logic Workshop
using the EJB Control, I am able to find the Home and the Remote interfaces and
those boxes are populated correctly when I select the JNDI name from the Browse
button. But when I click on the "Create" button in EJB Control dialog box, I get
the following error
"The EJB Home interface selected in Step 3 cannot be loaded. The client interfaces
for the selected EJB must be present as individual classes in the WEB-INF\classes
directory of this project or the EJB's client JAR file must be present in the

I copied my EJB Jar file to the WEB-INF\lib folder also. But still it gives the
same error message. Please let me know if I am missing something. Your help is
greatly appreciated.
Thanks
VikramHi Pat,
I've restarted the complete Platform Domain Weblogic instance and it worked.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I'm using a workshop domain from WebLogic Platform 7.0 SP1.
When you move the EJB classes (as a jar file) into the WEB-INF/lib directory,
then you need to redeploy the web application. In your last note you
mentioned
redeploying the EJB, but not the web app. Have you tried redeploying
the web
app, after you move the EJB jar file into WEB-INF/lib?

Thanks for replying back immediately. I tried to redeploy the EJB and

I've also
tried using some of the standard EJB's like "BEA_commerce.CategoryManager"
which
are part of the Platform domain and I am still getting the same error.
Are you working on a Weblogic Platform Domain or Weblogic workshop domain.
Just
wanted to confirm. Appreciate your help.

that into
my WEB-INF/lib directory. Then I redeployed the web application toload
the classes
and it worked.

Problems configuring Platform Domain with MS Sql Server
Hi,
We are having problems configuring a Platform Domain with MS Sql Server 2000.
We are using Weblogic version 7.0.0.2. These are the steps we followed
1.We manually created a database called TestDB and created a user account called
"system", pwd ==>> "weblogic" in SQL server and assigned him as the DB owner for
the TestDB created.
2. Changed dbsettings_properties files (Commented pointbase entries and uncommented
SQL Server entries. I gave the connection parameter as connection=jdbc:weblogic:mssqlserver4:localhost:1433
in this file.
3. Modified Config.xml and changed properties for DataSyncPool, WLIPool, CommercePool,WLIPool
and modified the RDBMS realm properties to point to the database.
4. ran the create_db script and it seemed to have run fine looking at the log
file.
5. I then tried to start the BEA Server instance and I get the following error.
I am also attaching the config.xml file for reference.
Appreciate any help/suggestions. Thanks in Advance.

MQSeries Adapter and adapters in general
I've tried the MQSeries Adapter and the Siebel Adapter and both give me the
following exception at runtime through the test harness.
I have included the com.ibm.mq.MQException class through the jar
(com.ibm.mq.jar) by setting the CLASSPATH env var in startWeblogic.cmd:
SET
CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%;"c:\Progra~1\IBM\MQSeries\Java\lib\com.ibm.mqjms.jar";
"c:\Progra~1\IBM\MQSeries\Java\lib\com.ibm.mq.jar";
Am I reading this properly, that weblogic cannot find this class?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm seeing this error over and over. Odd that 17 and 18 are not listed as members.

Deploy portal application in platform domain
Hi,
can i deploy portal application in platform domain?
I have the EAR for an application developed in portal domain. Can i deploy the same application in platform domain?
Is there any document related to this subject?hi Selva Kumar:
Essentially your looking at developing a J2EE application and deploying it on the SAP Web Application Server. For that you would need to build a J2EE application / JAVA Project and bundle it into a EAR file. Deploy the EAR file onto the WAS and your good to go. For consuming the application u can use the dynpro platform for building the UI and add the developed application jars as reference projects. I hope this helps.
P.S: Kindly assign points if your query is resolved, also close the question to assist other users narrow the search and find solutions -
Platform Domain and WorkShop JMS Control Problems
I created a platform domain and created a workflow in WLI. I would like to expose
the workflow from a web service. I successfully used the JMS control to send
the XML request into WLI and receive the reply from WLI. My problem is whenever
I try to execute the callback function when I receive my reply from JMS it his
a loop and never executes the callback to the client. In the same service i replaced
the JMS interaction with a timer and it works fine. The problem only occurrs when
the JMS control receives the reply and then invokes the callback. If I just receive
the reply without calling the callback everything works fine. Any ideas? ThanksI did a little more debugging and it looks like when the message is sent to the
JMS Queue a different instance of the session EJB is calledback to when the JMS
reply is received. I noticed when my callback is invoked by JMS i have different
proxy and context objects. I hope this helps.

Problems when setting SSL for a MQSeries Adapter
I'm trying to enable SSL and so far these are the steps I've done:
- I've been using the DemoIdentity.jks and DemoTrust.jks files located under <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>\wlserver_10.3\server\lib for all my certificate operations.
- I created a PrivateKey and imported it to my DemoIdentity store, created a certificate request and when I got the response imported it back using the same alias. Something I want to highlight here is that when I created the PrivateKey I left the password field empty so it supposed inherit the keystore's.
- I also imported the CA cert into the DemoTrust.jks
My MQAdapter is all set and when I used it with no SSL it was working just fine so I think I have the problem isolated.
Anyway, now when I try to connect this is what I'm getting in the logs:
at oracle.integration.platform.blocks.adapter.fw.jca.cci.JCAConnectionMa
nager$JCAConnectionPool.createJCAConnection(JCAConnectionManager.java:1335)
... 59 more

Googling this it seems like it's a problem with the keystore and private key passwords being different but I changed the private key's to match the keystore (something that I shouldn't be necessary because of the keytool's default behavior when generating the key) with no positive results.
Anyway, any ideas would be really appreciated. I've been spinning my wheels on this issue for 3 days now.
BTW, here's I'm using Oracle SOA11g.Hello MV,
I don't need to access my console through SSL as this is not part of what I'm trying to do.This will confirm whether SSL has been enabled on your weblogic. In your case it seems that SSL has not been enabled.
the demo keystore and truststore are regular stores and I was able to successfully import certificates into them using keytool.Demo keystores are not recommended to be used in production. Moreover DemoIdentity.jks already has a private (secret) key so importing another key may cause an issue. I don't think any application server supports multiple private keys for SSL.
I'll go ahead anyway and create a brand new set of keystores just to rule out that's not the problem here.Please test with new custom keystores and let us know the results.

BTW, here's I'm using Oracle SOA11g.What are the steps you are doing to create a FlexConnect WLAN
Check wether you have done this
1. You should havee a flexconnect mode AP in your network
2. That AP should connect via a trunk link back to your switch port
3. Under "FlexConnect" tab of that AP configuration you need to map required vlans where native vlan should be the AP managment in this trunk (AP connected Switch port)
4. Under WLAN advanced settings, you have to enable "Local Switching" if you want to do local switching. Leave it untick if you want to do central switching.
This is some of my notes when I did this on a WLC 7.0.116.0 (feature was called H-REAP in that time & later modified to FlexConnect). This should help you as well

Database adapter BindFault and Domain log entry
Dear All,
SOA/BPEL - 10.1.3.1
I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction to getting to the root cause of an error that we occassionally encounter in production with a database adapter service that inserts a record into an Oracle database.
The database adapter step reports:
"Faulted while invoking operation "insert" on provider "DB_INSERTAR_MSISDN"":
<fault>
<bindingFault xmlns="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension">
<part name="summary">
<summary>null</summary>
</part>
</bindingFault>
</fault>
</messages>
"{http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension}bindingFault" has been thrown.
<bindingFault xmlns="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension">
<part name="summary">
<summary>null</summary>
</part>
</bindingFault>
In the domain log, at the same time and the same BPEL flow, I see an entry like:
<2010-02-04 15:16:54,235> <INFO> <default.collaxa.cube.ws> <AdapterFramework::Outbound> file:/opt/oracle/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_1/bpel/domains/default/tmp/.bpel_ServiciosRed_1.5_fa24eb00ffacca13b39ce7cdeeee537e.tmp/DB_INSERTAR_MSISDN.wsdl [ DB_INSERTAR_MSISDN_ptt::insert(MsisdnCollection) ] - Using JCA Connection Pool - max size = <unbounded>
I am assuming that the two are related -- but I don't know how to get to the root cause - is it a connections issue to the database? have we exceeded maximum allowable connections?
Any assistance or pointers you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Regards - AnitHi UserN,
Thanks for the pointers. It has been a while since I attended the BPEL course, and since then I haven't had to administer any connection pools, I've just used what has been set-up by another team.
When I open the BPEL project, and look at the database adapter using the wizard, I see that the JNDI location specified as "eis/DB/HPPOMV". I see this again in the wsdl associated with the DB adapter, with the following: UIConnectionName="HPPOMV"
I have logged into EM, but I am not 100% sure that I am looking at the correct connection pool. I have navigated to "JDBC Resources" tab. Under the Data Sources section I see a list, but none of these has a JNDI location of "eis/DB/HPPOMV".
The closest match is " jdbc/HPPOMV", with connection pool attributes of:
Initial size of Connection Cache 0
Minimum Number of Connections 0
Maximum Number of Connections 100
Connection Retry Interval (seconds) 1
Maximum Connection Attempts 3
Maximum Number of Statements Cached 0
Have I made my way to the right connection?
I am monitoring this pool, but the "connection in use" has not got anywhere near 100.
Edit:: is there anyway to monitor/record the connection pool usage? We normally investigate these errors the following day, by which time any connection pool issues may have gone. I don't really have time to watch the screen refresh every 30 seconds.
Thanks - Anit
(At the moment I am reading through the BPEL training material to review the steps I performed in class).
