MRU without Checksum? Is it possible?

Hi,
I have a MRU-Process in my form. Before that I do some DML on that table. Now, when the MRU-Process starts I got the checksum error (version has changed blblbl...) - I don't need these checksum lookup because I use a temporary table in this session.
Is it possible to use a MRU-process without the checksum mechanism?

The builtin Automatic Row Fetch process computes and stores the checksums for each row in hidden items. The builtin MRU process compares these checksums for each row before writing it to the database to prevent "lost updates".
I am not sure what you mean by "I do some DML on that table", but if this DML modifies the underlying data such that after-submit checksums no longer match what the MRU process expects, it will throw the error.
Is it possible to use a MRU-process without the checksum mechanism?No, if you use the builtin MRU process, the checksum feature comes with it.

Yes it is possible, but we are talking a modification of SAP standard here. Also the effort needed will be at least 10 times higher than using EEWB as you have to reprogram all generated code / screen helps that SAP provides. Moreover these fields are then still not exchanged with the interfaces / BDocs etc which will be also some more days of work. There is no usable documentation on this - at least not by SAP and I am not aware of another one. It is much easier to create an EEWB enhancement and then move the fields from one tab to another.
Doing this all by hand is like adding a second processor to an existing motherboard for more performance compared to exchanging the existing one with one of higher specifications.This is possible, but requires a) more work/time/material b) more experience c) you lose warranty d) in the end you do not know for sure what the outcome will be

i have a small clarification Idoc to soap sync interface in sap pi 7.0. i created IDoc to Soap sync using BPM but some times the signals are stuck due to load issue in swpr, while reprocess those signals all going successfully to the receiver. So We are trying to eliminate BPM.
I just wanted to know Idoc to Soap sync scenario without BPM is possible or not in SAP PI 7.0?

Could you please let us know the exact requirement. How do you want to send the response back to IDOC?
ASync - Sync Bridge with IDOC sender is not possible in PI 7.0.
If It is something like IDOC --> SOAP --> IDOC , And If the SOAP request is small then you can use SOAP Lookup in IDOC to IDOC Scenario.
In The mapping You can do a lookup and get the response from SOAP(Webservice) and map that to your Target IDOC.
This is one possible way for you without BPM in PI7.0.

Initialize delta without data transfer not possible

I want to switch the upload procedure for an ODS from full to delta. For I have researched SAP Note 689964 and executed the program RSSM_SET_REPAIR_FULL_FLAG for the ODS-object and datasource. It successfully modified the request and set the 'REPAIR_FULL' flag.
Now I want to change the InfoPackage from Full update to Delta. According to the note I have to perform an init simulation, my problem is that the option initialize delta without data transfer is in display mode only (i.e. it's gray and I cannot select it).
The InfoSource in question is "0HR_PY_1". I've checked several others and with some it is possible to select the initialization simulations and with others it's not.
My questions are a) Why is it this option grayed out? and b) What can I do to enable the selection of this option?
Any help is appreciated.

thanks for pointing out that note, sadly it's for "0HR_PY_PP_1" and not "0HR_PY_1".
However it lead us to note '611199'...

0HR_PY_PP_1 DataSource:
- Commit after initialization phase: no commit
0HR_PY_PP_2 DataSource:
- Commit after initialization phase: no commit
Solution
Import the corresponding Support Package into the Plug-In Releases 2003.1 and 2002.2 and copy/activate the DataSources in the plug-in system again.
If the correction is imported, you can no longer select the "DeltaInit simulation" option for the delta initialization of the 0HR_PY_1 DataSource/InfoSource.
As long as you have not imported the correction or you are using an even older plug-in release, you should never select the "DeltaInit simulation" option during the delta initialization for the 0HR_PY_1 DataSource/InfoSource. The 0HR_PY_1 DataSource does not support this mode.
The 0HR_PY_1 DataSource only supports the delta initialization (without the DeltaInit simulation) and subsequent delta calls.
Sadly enough, not what I wanted to read, but well at least I now know that I shouldn't look into this solution anymore.

CHARM without any project assignment possible or not ????

can we create transaction request through solution manager having charm configured without assignment of any maintenance project.
i n details : i config. charm for managing all daily transaction request from it. for that i was created a Zabc maintenance project.
so now when ever any new developments come on service desk request it will call for change management request from their and
after approval developer will create a TR which by default comes under project Zabc for maintenance cycle M0000XX.
Now i want to get either multiple option to choose different projects or without project . can any one confirm is it possible to create any TR (Dev) without any project assignment or not. If yes please let me know.

Maintenance Project are used for Maintenance on your "live" business scenarios, checked out from your solution.
Implementation, Template are used for implementing new functionallity, into a new solution, or additional to a solution.
Upgrade projects speak for themselves.
If you start with Maintenance/Implementation/Upgrade/Template projects, as soon as you activate ChaRM (option in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN) your are supposed to create a Maintenance Cycle. In relation to the type of project a certain tasklist is created, and thus a maintenance/development cycle is created.
To those cycles the individual, change documents are "attached" to get a release kind of working.
So you must have any cycle, Maintenance or Development or Upgrade.

Streaming Video to PDF Without Flash: Is It Possible?

I'm creating an interactive PDF that needs to be fully supported on both desktop and mobile devices, which has limited my options considerably as mobile support for interactive PDF elements is very limited [I can pretty much only rely on hyperlinks to take me from page to page as well as to external websites]. My client wants videos included, which work inside of the mobile app were delivering to [Documents by Readdle] when embedded as part of the file, but they also want the PDF to be under 25MB, which isn't practical when it comes to compressing 6+ videos and not completely throwing out the quality.
The solution I need is streaming video that would work without the use of a Flash widget, as Flash is not supported on iOS. Does that exist, or is the only way to stream video from an online source inside the PDF document with Flash?
I'm creating the documnet with InDesign CC, and have access to the entire CC Suite.

It's theoretically possible to define an external media URI which uses a non-Flash protocol if you skirt around the edges of the ISO standards but there is no software out there which can do it, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
PDFs with video and interactivity are simply not suitable for mobile deployment. Your project will either need to split the deliverables (PDF for desktop, native app for mobile platforms) or publish using HTML5 in a browser and use something like YouTube to push the media content.

If you have the Apple Camera Connection Kit (CCK) and the video that your camera generates is in one of the formats tha the iPad supports then you can directly move it to the iPad with a USB connection.

Smart 2-to-a-page printing, without huge borders. Possible?

I just poseted this in the feedback box, but maybe I should ask here too... does anyone know of a way to do smart two-up printing in OS X? By smart I mean that I want to print just the text, with the borders trimmed off, so that the text doesn't become impossibly small.
Any ideas? The closest thing I found was a program called BookLightning, which doesn't do this.

I'm a theoretical physicist, and we all print out a fairly large number of research papers. While some use all the paper quite well, many have large text and larger margins. This produces good readability, short line lengths and all that, but is wasteful of paper.
I'd like to print them two pages per side, but if I do this using the printer dialogue box the results are often too small to be readable. The probelm is worse on letter paper than on A4. (Sometimes I can make it a little better by adjusting the scaling to 120% or so before printing, but it's hard to guess, and with letter paper this still doesn't let me use all the paper.)
In windows I had a program called FinePrint, which pretended to be a printer driver. Printing to it produced a window showing a preview of your document printed two-up (or 4-up, or as a booklet). The clever part is that it could be set to crop the document down to just the text, and then add margins of your choosing. The resulting printed text was often not all that much smaller than the original document's.
I can't imagine that this would be difficult to implement in OS X, everything is already PDF based so should scale well, and copping PDFs to a bounding box in LaTeX seems to work without a hitch.
Another feature FinePrint has, less important but also worthwhile, is the ability to print several document to it in sucession, and then print these as one print job. So scattered web pages or emails on a common theme, which would normally need a page each, could be printed two-up or double-sided.
I think this sort of functionality should be the default on all computers, I can't imagine there would be many such small steps that would save so much paper. But I'd settle for it just being an option.

Ok, first of all you have to find the menu element that muse generate. In the example you provided is #menu1564, but it could be different in the final output. Use a tool like firebug (Firefox extension) to easy detect your menu element.
Then delete the css rules "margin-left" and "left". Add the css rule "margin" and set it to "0 auto". (see the screen shoots i provided).
Now you must have the desired effect. I upload two more screenshot of the page in a medium and small browser size. You can see that now the menu remains aligned to the contents.

Howto change DPI, without xorg.conf if possible?

So, once and for all I'd like to have DPI issue solved
I want to have DPI set to 96. At this size fonts and everything seems at normal size, I don't want to argue about that...
Practically,
$ xdpyinfo | grep inch
resolution: 121x121 dots per inch
I want it to be:
$ xrandr --dpi 96
$ xdpyinfo | grep inch
resolution: 96x96 dots per inch
I have intel 965M chipset, using the intel driver:
xf86-video-intel 2.6.3-3
xorg-server 1.6.1-1
So, when I run xrandr manually, it gets fixed to 96x96 but how to do it automatically?
I think I tried all of the common methods that are advised to this problem, like adding
Xft.dpi: 96
into ~/.Xdefaults and ~/.Xresources.
I also changed /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc into
exec /usr/bin/X -dpi 96 -nolisten tcp
but no result.
I remember that DisplaySize option in section monitor in xorg.conf used to work but now doesn't. (Not sure however whent it stopped working and if it was also intel driver). I even put
Option "UseEDID" "false"
into Section Screen...
I would prefer if this could be done without using xorg.conf cause now I only have Option "DontZap" "false" there.
I use kdm, if that matters.. but the dpi is wrong in all DEs.

Playing iPod through iTunes without syncing - is this possible?

My iPod is sync'd with my laptop at home, but I would like to connect my iPod to my laptop at work and use it through iTunes. I don't want to sync them because I don't want to install 2,000 songs onto my work laptop. Is it possible to leave my iPod connected through USB and play the songs through iTunes? Currently when I try this all the songs display in my iTunes library but are greyed out and will not play.

Grey text when you look at the content and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen simply shows that your iPod is set to automatically update. If you want to access your iPod directly, drag songs to it, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you just need to change the update method to "Manually manage songs and videos" in the iPod Summary tab and click Apply. The text will change from grey to dark and the padlock will disappear: Managing content manually on iPod
One thing to be aware of with manually updating is that the iPod also has to be manually ejected before the "Do Not Disconnect" message will go away. Safely disconnect iPod

T61: DVI output without docking station? Possible?

I was wondering if there is any way to have DVI output on my T61 without using a docking station. I need to use this output frequently and carrying the docking station around is not very practical. Any ideas?

SRM Contract Catalog - Creation without XI - is that possible?

We need to have contract catalogs in our system.
So I read the post from Waheed Mohammad with similar request, but the different is, that I don´t have XI and I do not know what the business scenario "MasterDataInclusion" is
Does anybody know, if SRM Contract Catalog Creation works with Business Connector 4.7 too?!
And what settings have to be done?!
Would be glad, if someone could give me a hint.
