MSI Bluetooth Adapter drivers

Hello there,
I've got the MSI Bluetooth USB dongle adapter. I had some trouble to get it working, I have a question regarding the latest 1.3.2.7 drivers.
After rebooting the WinXP and after logging in, usually the BTTray.exe locks up, about in 3 cases of 10. The WXP has all the latest patches installed. I tried the dongle at other computers, my friends have the same dongle, and they have trouble with WXP as well  :(
When will be available new drivers working without any trouble?
igorage

I have the Bluetooth module and I can communicate with my laptop using it, but when I try to connect to the Microsoft mouse or keyboard it says that I should plug in the transreciever, so I think that there is some problem with the drivers, because the MSI bluetooth is under USB devices in the Device Manager and the Microsoft Bluetooth transreciever under BlueTooth Radios

  • 990XA-GD55 - USB bluetooth adapter becomes unrecognised if left plugged in

Hello all, I just bought and set up my new MSI 990XA-GD55 (bios 11.2) with an AMD FX-4100 3.6 GHz and I'm having a really weird problem with my usb bluetooth adapter. If I plug it in after Windows 7 (Pro 64-bit) is loaded it's recognized, installs drivers, etc. and works fine, but if I leave it plugged in and restart the machine the next time Windows loads up it shows as unrecognized until I unplug it and reinsert.
The same bluetooth adapter has been used on my old computer and worked fine attached to an internal usb header cable (which is what I'd like to do with this one). Any ideas?

Did windows do an 'auto' driver install? You might need to go to the manufacturers website for the specific driver package. If only a generic driver is installed, it can make the bluetooth unit do what you are experiencing.
    AMD FX-4100 3.60GHz
    MSI 990XA-GD55, bios v22.2
    G.SKILL  (2 x 4GB) DDR3 F3-17000CL11D-8GBSR
EVGA Nvidia Ge-Force 460 GTX 1 GB RAM
Hitachi 2 TB SATA III, 5400rpm (GPT formatted)

Intel Wifi Link 1000 bgn (Mini Pci-E to Pci-e adapter)
    Corsair 600Watt PSU (+12V@40A)
    Windows 7 Professional sp1 x64
It did do an auto driver install, but it's not just a generic driver. It shows up as an ASUS bluetooth adapter and it works when you plug it in while Windows is running, but when you restart with it plugged it it won't work anymore.

Was that in a home built PC or something like a Dell or Sony?

Which is the oldest, the motherboard or the Windows installation?
They're both the same age, this is a freshly built system. This was the first thing I noticed when I completed Windows setup.

  • How to get and install the new MSI Bluetooth Software Package 1.4.3.3.

How to get and install the new MSI Bluetooth Software Package 1.4.3.3.
This little FAQ will only cover the new version of MSI Bluetooth Software Package.
First thing too do is unistall any older version of the MSI Bluetooth Software.
Do this through the Add/Remove program applet in your control panel.
There seams too be only through Live update you could get the new version of MSI Bluetooth Software Package.
If you can't see any enter for MSI Bluetooth Software in the Live driver section of Live update then you have too enter the following too your registry.
Create following code in Notepad and save it as MSILD.reg, then run the file.
    ;-->Code start
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MSI\Drivers\MSI Bluetooth Software]
    "DrvSetup"="1"
    "Version"="1.4.2.10"
    ;-->Code end
Rerun the Live update and hopefully you will now see a entry for MSI Bluetooth Software in Live driver section.
Install the new version of MSI Bluetooth Software and reboot your computer. Even if the setup program doesnt told you too doit.
After rebooting the computer you will see the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar. If it's Red then try too start the Bluetooth services by right click on the try icon and the only alternetiv there is.
If the Bluetooth services is asking for a valid licens.dat then you should do the following.
Surf to Jon's Bluetooth guide http://www.jonsguides.com./bluetooth/prepare.html and download the patcher from the link there.
Unzip the the patcher and then run the BTWPatcher.exe program.
Now the Bluetooth services will start and you will bee able too configure your own settings for the Bluetooth services.
If nothing of this work you could try the complete Bluetooth solution at Jon's gudie and install the IBM version of the same program. I havent test this solution and will not do soo.

I have the MS-6968 device and i want to use driver 1.4.x or 3.0.x. I found the driver 1.4.2.10 but i cannot find any WIDCOMMSecurity code.
So, can anyone give me a link for BTWPatcher.exe???
It cannot be found here (Jon's Bluetooth ) anymore.
    Thanks

  • Satellite A500-011 PSAR0C-01100D - internal Bluetooth adapter

I have Satellite A500-011 PSAR0C-01100D, I'm looking for an internal Bluetooth PCI adapter that slides in, on the side of the laptop into the pci card slot. without opening the computer)
Can someone help me find the part number ?
I remember seeing it in the toshiba site,a while back, but not there anymore, can't find it. I would like to order one.
i have an external USB Bluetooth adapter but it's a bit flaky and it sticks out and gets caught in the bag etc.
There is a internal module available but I don't want to open up the case and damage it.
    thanks

*Replacing Wireless Card with WiFi & BT Combination Card.*
Hopefully it will be compatible with the computer. Make sure that it is half PCI-e size.
Example of what it should look like: http://www.compactpci-systems.com/products/id/?45200
First, the laptop should be placed bottom side up to expose the doors.
The centre most door that uses one screw to open should be the one to open.
When open, you should see the RAM exposed.
In addition to this, there is the wireless modem card.
Unscrew two 2.5x3 screws that secure the card.
    Remove from the slot.
Take the Wireless WiFi & BT combination card, and slip it into the slot.
    Secure with the two screws.
Close the lid, and secure with screw.
Install any necessary software and drivers. . .
    *For dedicated BT:*
For A500 models, you need a version 2.1 + EDR (antenna on mobile type) model for bluetooth.
This would involve removing the keyboard and acccessing the top of the motherboard; a more intriciate process.

Basically, cutting out Windows Update as a possible source for a new driver forced it to use the local MSI install files.
Anyone else care to give this a try?
Now I just need to sort out the new hardware serial number nonsense key thing!

  • The MSI bluetooth stick?

    Hey,
I recently got myself a MSI bluetooth stick.
I just can't seem to make it work. On the CD that came with the bundle, I could only install drivers and no bluetooth icon appeared at the bottom of my screen. So I decided to visit the site to see if there was any software for download. I found this page, downloaded the drivers/software package and installed it. The bluetooth icon now does appear below in my screen, so that should be correct, right?
When I rightclick the icon and press Start Using Bluetooth, after a few seconds of silence, it gives the error: You Bluetooth Software licence does not include use with this bluetooth device. When I press OK, I have to select a license.dat file. There is only one, and that came with the software I downloaded. When I select it and press ok, I get another error.
Does anybody know what's wrong? I've downloaded the right drivers/software, but it doesn't work!
PS: I want to use this to connect to my: Motorola V525 phone.

    Try this link http://www.jonsguides.com./bluetooth/prepare.html
and try to run the patcher only after you have intsalled the driver 1.4.3....

  • USB Bluetooth adapter... WHAT'S GOOD?

Okay, so I've realised that Bluetooth is the only way to sync my SE v630i mobile phone to my Mac.
Now I need to buy a USB Bluetooth adapter, I've seen the D-Link but it's like $80 as opposed to a Tianlang one on eBay for around $7 plus p/h.
Is the D-Link a rip-off? Is the Tianlang a piece of junk (both are Blutooth 1.2)?
Can anyone help me out on this one?
    Thanks... Khyam.

I'm not sure where you've seen the D-Link for $80.
On Amazon.com its $27.99 plus you get a $10 rebate, making it $17.99
    http://www.amazon.com/D-Link-DBT-120-Bluetooth-USB-Adapter/dp/B00006B7DB/sr=8-1/ qid=1164375834/ref=pdbbs_sr1/105-9574619-4281210?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
As previously mentioned, the D-Link is the only one officially supported by Apple - they even release firmware updates for this model. There may be others that work, but without trying them, you won't know for sure.
Alot of the cheaper USB Bluetooth adapters will allow you to pair and transfer files, but won't allow a full sync. It's not known why. And they all come with Windows drivers only.
Here's a list of adapters that reportedly don't work fully:
    Belkin F8T012
    Formosa Teletek
    Jensen Blue:Link 201
    Kensington

  • Still problems with Toshiba Bluetooth Adapter under Windows 7

Hey there, it's me once again.
I refer to my thread "Bluetooth Problem under Windows 7":
I thought after the solution from bluecat my problem was solved. But it's not really.
After installing the Windows Hotfix, it worked just shortly. But now the problem is the same.
When I delete the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack and try to work with the Windows Bluetooth Manager, I see, that the Bluetooth icon is coming an going on the task bar. In device manager I said Windows, that it doesn't shut down the device to save energy. But I think the device is turned on and off and on and off...
I really have absolutely no idea what the problem is, but I am becoming terribly angry.
    Details:
    Windows 7
Dell Wireless Bluetooth Internal Adapter 350 (but it's made by Toshiba)
Drivers tried out: Vista Profile Pack from Dell Homepage (no stack installed, just driver) / Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (the latest version)
    This is the old Thread:
    Dear all
Just as I installed Windows 7, my Bluetooth mouse and keyboard don't work fine.
I use the Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Internal Adapter, Logitech MX1000 mouse and keyboard and Toshiba Bluetooth Stack 8.00.02.
To connect the devices with my Computer, I firstly must disconnect the Bluetooth adapter by pushing Fn + F2 on my Dell i9400, after re-connecting I can search and connect the devices correctly. They work fine as long as the notebook is running.
After rebooting the notebook, the devices don't work anymore. They are still listed in Bluetooth Stack as known, but not as connected. Therefore I have to disconnect the Bluetooth adapter another time and re-connect it to be able to connect the two devices.
I firstly thought, that it's a Windows problem. I thought that Windows is able to put down the adapter to save some energy. But when I go to the Device Manager, there is no box for this option as known from other devices (f.e. USB-Ports). So this is not the problem. I think the problem is something else, maybe done by the Bluetooth Stack.
Under Windows XP this all worked perfectly. I used the same hardware and also the Bluetooth Stack by Toshiba (downloaded on the Dell Homepage).
    Anyone some ideas?
    Thanks!
    Daevu

    Hey there
Yesterday I made Format C: and installed Windows 7 new.
I did not install any bluetooth driver for my Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Adapter (made by Toshiba).
And now: The mouse and the keyboard are working. I even do not see them anywhere in my system, but they are working.
There is no bluetooth adapter in my device manager and I had not to connect the mouse and the keyboard with my computer. It's simply working without doing anything.
    I don't understand this...
    Is this a save connection?
    What I've tried already:
-> Installing newest Bluetooth Stack from Toshiba. Problem seen in the message above. I also installed the MS Hotfix. Same problem.
-> Installing "Vista Profile Pack" from Dell Homepage, recommended for my notebook and Windows Vista. There is no stack installed. So I had to connect the mouse and keyboard via Windows Bluetooth Manager. But the adapter was made on and off by windows, the icon in the taskbar came and went and came and went. Connection is 1 minute good, then some seconds away. Not possible to work with the mouse.
And now without installing any driver it's working. Am I stupid?

  • No Bluetooth Adapter in the Device Manager (Windows 7)

I have a problem: theres no Bluetooth adapter in the device manager. On Mac the Bluetooth adapter works flawless.
A while back, my Bluetooth worked on windows. I used it to transfer files from my old phone to my macbook.
I  tried to install the driver via the old Hardware wizard:
    1. Starting C:/Windows/System32/hdwwiz.exe
    2. "Install the hardware that I &manually select from a list (Advanced)"
    3. "Show All Devices" - Next
    4. Wait a second for windows to load all the drivers
    5. Under Manufacturer, select "Apple Inc." and under Model, "Apple Bluetooth Driver"
    6. Message showing up:
"The software for this device is now installed, but may not work correctly.
This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
Now the Apple Bluetooth Adapter shows up in the device manager under "System devices" but with the status: "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".
After that, I also tried to restart. Nothing changed.
I also tried to install the Bluetooth Driver from the OSX Windows driver disk. Installed without problems but didn't solve the problem.
    Windows 7 64bit - up to date
    Bootcamp 3.3
    Macbook bought 2009
    Model Nr. A1181
    with Snow Leopard
Really looking forward for a solution on this problem.

  • Bluetooth Adapter can't be found

I have a kensington BT adaptor which seems to be recognized just fine by WinXP, however I was looking at the Simple BT Server.vi and noticed that it wouldn't work. It gave me this error, "LabVIEW: The network function is not supported by the system." I tried to get it even simpler by copying and pasting the portion of code that should read the devices address and name, but that won't even work. Does anyone have any clue why it isnt connecting? When I tried an ipconfig in DOS, the BT adapter registers as Media Disconnected. I am sure that I enabled all the services, so I don't think that is a problem.

Okay, I found a way to get it to work. Kinda cumbersome, but in the end, it should work.
This is completely based on the fact that Labview will only work with the Windows Native
    Bluetooth drivers.
You'll need Windows Service Pack 2
First be sure to not install the drivers off the CD for the Bluetooth card. If you have, go back and uninstall it.
Plug in your Kensington USB Bluetooth Dongle. You may either cancel the installation or choose to go with the installation, but do not install the drivers off the CD.
Go into Device Manager and look under 'Other Devices.'
Select it and go to 'Details', you will see something like this there:
    USB\VID_0db0&PID_697A\5&E831D1A&0&2
If there is an option called "Hardware Ids", select this option. In the area below will appear that devices Hardware ID or PnPID. You need to copy one of those strings EXACTLY from that area, into the bth.inf file.
This part here - 'USB\VID_0db0&PID_697A' - is your Plug and Play Identification (PnPID).
You will need to locate your Bluetooth inf file: %windir%\inf\bth.inf
Opened it in notepad, read through on about line 60, under one of the device sections, and add your USB adapters PnPID like so:
Kensington USB Bluetooth Adapter= BthUsb, USB\Vid_0db0&Pid_697A
You'll see others listed there, follow their format.
Save the file, and then delete the "USB Device" from device manager, and un-plug, and re-plug the Bluetooth adapter into your computer system. When prompted, let Windows search for a device driver, and it should pick up the adapter, and install the correct drivers for it. Also, there should now be an icon in the control panel for Bluetooth configuration.

  • Logitech Bluetooth adapter not going into HCI mode

    Hi.
I just installed Arch-Linux on a HP Compaq T5000, and is actually quite pleased with it.
It runs much faster than Ubuntu server, and uses much less resources than ubuntu did (it's a thin client, it only got 128 MB ram and 800 MHz cpu, though i use it as a server ).
Now, apart from serving my iTunes library, playing music on remote speakers, backing up my data, and doing a billion other things, i wanted it to serve a Bluetooth PAN network. So, i plugged my Logitech Bluetooth adapter (From a keyboard/mouse combo) in, and it was registered as a HID device. I then ran hid2hci to make it run in HCI mode, and it said it succeded. I believe hid2hci doesn't do the job correctly (even though it think it does).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hmm... anyone willing to help?
It's not like i'm gonna die of it's not gonna work, but a little response would be nice, even a "That's impossible to fix" would be nice, because then i would know i shouldn't spend a lifetime on this

Below is the link to your drivers page for your HP Pavilion dm4-3055dx. All you need to do it choose your operating system and click next. After that all the drivers available for your computer will be listed. I would recommend you start with your Chipset drivers and ensure all of them are installed and up to date. I would then run Windows Update as many times as needed to ensure your system is completely up to date.

  • Where to download driver for the SD BT2 Bluetooth adapter for Win7 x64?

    Hello,
where can I download drivers for the SD BT2 Bluetooth adapter for Win7 x64?
    Thank you.

    I agree with bluecat.
BT SD card is not on the market for years now and this device is not supported anymore so I think you will not be able to find driver to get it work with Win7.
