    Hi,
I have the annoying problem with my new video card: a screen is periodically blinking in 2D. Probably that problem already solved in a newest BIOS?
I have to use "Legacy" mode because of my PC does not start otherwise.
Related hardware: MB: MSI P67A-GD65 B3 (BIOS 1.19), CPU: i7-2600K, Monitor: HP ZR2440w (DP connection).

Decompress the attached .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Create a bootable usb stick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0).
Then unpack the previously provided archive (xxx.rar) and put the included file (TVxxxxx.zzz) on that stick.
    Rename TVxxxxx.zzz to zzz.rom.
    Put the atiflash.exe from: https://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2306/atiflash-4-17/
on the USB stick too. Now boot from the stick.
Type atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 zzz.rom [ENTER] and let it flash the vbios.

None of that is a bios version. We need a link to a copy of your vbios saved to file and uploaded to a file hoster to check if there is a newer version. If not allowed to link yet add a break to the link so it is masked being a link.

Others reported that too when using the same card. If unlocking won't work (>>How to use MSI Afterburner<<) contact MSi about it as there seems to be an issue: >>How to contact MSI.<<

UEFI is aGOP compliant vbios that allows to use secureboot/fastboot (Windows 8/8.1). If not using UEFI booting it doesn't matter which you use. Older mainboards with UEFI but not being GOP compliant on the other hand won't work with a GOP vbios and only the legacy vbios allows to use the card.

  • ISSUE: msi P55 CD-53, Bios Rev 1.B (2011)

    ISSUE: msi P55 CD-53, Bios Rev 1.B (2011)
I updated from BIOS ver 1.1 to 1.B, and everything went pretty well.
I'm having an issue however with the JMicron PCI Express to SATAII Host Controller ROM v 1.07.14, it says "Detecting Drives, Please wait..."
...and it takes about 3 minutes, whereas before, it only took a few seconds. This means every time I boot or reboot my PC, 3 minutes is added to that time while the JMicron controller seems to be having a problem.
I'm not happy about adding 3 minutes to my boot time
     I would like to know:
    - Is this the normal expected behavior?
    - Is 1.B a beta BIOS revision?
    - Is anyone else having this issue?
    - Is there any way to fix it?
    Your help is greatly appreciated.

Please supply full system spec. >>Posting Guide<<
We shall assume that you did load all the needed drivers. See here for the last drivers: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P55-CD53.html#/?div=Driver&os=Win7%2064
You may have to flash back to the previous BIOS to confirm if your BIOS flash was the cause.

  • MSI R9 280X GAMING 3G bios

Hello, I've recently bought an MSI R9 280X GAMING 3G video card and so far it works very well without any problems. However, having read some pretty nasty things about it overheating, coil whining, and fans going all wrong, I thought it might be a good idea to update vbios.
According to GPU-Z my current one is 0.15.040.000.003.003435 (113-C3865000-G77)
Is there a later version of bios for my GPU? Because MSI Live Update says no. Thanks in advance

If all is fine there is nothing to do. Either you have problems or not. These issues won't appear suddenly.

That information is useless. We need your card's S/N and a copy of the current vbios. However as said above if everything works don't bother with updating vbios just to update.

  • Need UEFI/GOP Bios MSI R9 280x Gaming Bios1/2 no Gop

    Hi Hallo!
Please UEFI/GOP Bios for MSI R9 280x Gaming (Ultrafast Boot Win 8.1)
    serial number:  602-V277-19SB 130 90 97 395
    Bios: 015.039.000.001.003331 (113-C3865000-G77)
Bios1 and 2 - no gop bios - Ultrafast Boot do not work
    thanks

    There you go: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=173931.0;attach=12208
Eventually that is not even needed. it should be possible to switch between two versions with a hardware switch and one should be GOP compliant.

  • Bios update MSI R9 280X

Hi I notice my msi r9 280x graphic card GPU clock doesn't boost clock to 1050mhz speed instead it always stay same at 1020mhz clock speed when i play games. how come boost feature isn't working?
Maybe i need the latest bios ? if so how do i update my bios?
GPUZ showing my bios is: 015.040.003.003435 (113-C3865000-G77)
    My graphic card Serial number: S/N: 602-V277 - 28SB1311071923

    >>THIS<< is the latest GOP vbios you may try it. Still that might not change it. 1020Mhz is Game mode while 1050Mhz is oc:

1000MHz Core (Boost Clock:1000MHz) (Silent mode)
Use the >>GAMING APP<< to switch to oc mode and retry.

No, you won't. Only physical damage caused in the process would. The sticker is meant to prevent from careless tinkering with the card. If you need a confirmation from your local MSI office: >>How to contact MSI.<<

There is no such. The R9 280X batches not allowing voltage adjustments by default are finally not supported for voltage adjustments. If wanting to contact MSI about it: >>How to contact MSI.<<
