Hi Ashok,
To elaborate the point:-
For example, In your Sender Adapter if you would have specified record.fieldNames with 4 fields.  And, when you are trying to pass more than 4 fields in your source file, you will get the error.

    Hi Ashok,
         In this File to JDBC Scenario,In receiver JDBC having standard structure u can follow,
    Standard structure for receiver JDBC is:
    Example:
    STATEMENT NAME
        Action         Attribute
        TableName  Element
        Access       Element
          empid
          empname
          address
    , I thought u mistake in structure itself, because the TableName can be passed to Action field.Please check it and do it.

  • How to do newline in Validation Script Message

    Hi
    im trying to write a multiline error message in the Validation Script Message for a textfield but everytime I hit return, i end up at the front of the current line instead of a new line.  I've also tried \n with no luck.  The only way i've found is by entering the text into notepad and then cut+paste into the Validation Script Message box.  Is this a bug with Designer?  I have Designer ES 8.2.1.3158.1.475346.
    I am aware of how to do it by script  ex.  this.validationMessage = "line1\nline2" but what i want to is store the Section and field name in the Validation Script Message box and then build the error message ontop via script.
    ex.
    this.validationMessage = this.validationMessage + "Validation failed due to ....";

    Just tested this and it looks like ctrl-enter works.

  • Error: Expression must not return a multiline value

    Hi all,
    I am doing a file to file scenario. My input file has more than one record. I have to validate for each of these records and send back the erroneous records in a file to the source folder.
    I am using BPM for this. In my BPM, i have some multiline container elements. When i try to activate my BPM, i am getting an error saying: <b>Expression must not return a multiline value.</b>
    Can anybody tell me why this error is coming? Also i want to know what type of mapping i have to do to split my source file.
    Regards,
    Divija.

    "Can anybody tell me why this error is coming? Also i want to know what type of mapping i have to do to split my source file."
    Go through the following blogs which give step-bystep approach for split mapping using BPM:-
    1. /people/sudharshan.aravamudan/blog/2005/12/01/illustration-of-multi-mapping-and-message-split-using-bpm-in-sap-exchange-infrastructure
    2. /people/narendra.jain/blog/2005/12/30/various-multi-mappings-and-optimizing-their-implementation-in-integration-processes-bpm-in-xi
    Also, you might want to look at this, where a BPM is not required..i think you can avoid a BPM altogether if you have very little validation..

  • Error / BUG in BPM SAP PI7.1 "Expression must not return a multiline value"

    Hey experts,
    I try to use a MULTILINE interface in an integration process, but when I try to select the multiline interface in the sending Step (asynch), then I can´t select a INDEX variable? ...
    See here: Picture of ERROR
    I tried my steps with a XI3.0 in exactly the same way and it works. Is this a bug in the PI? We have Service Package 04 (initial Shipment).
    Does anyone has an idea?
    Thanks a lot for fast help
    Rgds,
    Steffen

    Hi,
    I tested it on a PI 7.1 SP 8 and there it works.
    What you could try is to export your Integration Process from XI 3.0 (you said it's working) and import it in your PI 7.1.

  • Error in Workflow Multiline Container

    I'm facing with two error during implementing multiline container: "Agent determination for step '0000000002' failed" and "Result of agent resolution does not agree with agents of task".
    What I've done is:
    - "AGENTS" container created which refer to USR02-BNAME. In the properties tab, I checked the multiline check box. The contents of this container is coming from method in the main workflow. In the workflow log, I saw this container filled correctly. Its contain 2 line of user id.
    - I have subworkflow-2 that I set as multiline element in tab "other" and filled "AGENTS" container in that field. This subworkflow contain only one task that need to be executed by many user. The binding from previous subworkflow to this subworkflow-2 is: &AGENTS[&_WF_PARFOREACH_INDEX&]& --> &AGENTS1&
    "AGENTS1" is single container which refer to USR02-BNAME.
    - The binding from subworkflow-2 into task is: &AGENTS1& --> &AGENTS1&
    When I executing this workflow and checked in the workflow log "AGENTS1" container is filled with "000001" same value with container WfParForEach_Index.
    Hopefully out there can help me on this issue.

    Hello,
    I have the same problem. I've found this link http://mailman.mit.edu/pipermail/sap-wug/2008-March/028123.html where a possible solution is detailed.
    I have planned to  made test on it in next day.

  • Error in executing a process for compilation for jsp

    We have an iView which has jsp pages in it. We deployed the par & try toaccess the iview & we get an exception. The issue is that the iview has a jsp page. At the run time, this jsp is converted into a .java file
    without problem. But EP engine is having issues compiling this java fileinto .class file.
    On the other hand this same iview works just fine on our windows installation. Only Solaris EP install is having problems. The version onwindows as well as on Solaris is EP6 SP9.
    Here is the exact version on the solaris EP:
    sap.com/SAP-JEECOR 6.40 SP9 (1000.6.40.9.0.20041119045253) 20041122132733

    When I copy the .class file from windows to unix machine, the iView works fine. Here is the exception I am getting:

    I am having the same issue with another iview which has jsp page in it.
    The web dynpro iview works fine.

    Hi, seems like there's some typo in your jsp. Check the .java file listed with a java editor (like eclipse or devstudio.). Maybe you'll find the typo this way faster.
    Most often, a multiline page import hampers jsp compilation,
    e.g.
    <%@page import="java.util.List,
                    java.util.Map"%>
    needs to be
    <%@page import="java.util.List,java.util.Map"%>

  • Would like to redirect java error ExceptionHelper.java

    Hi All,
    I think this might be the right forum... anyway, I'd like to redirect this java exception handler to a different URL. Pretty simple.
    I've tried this line of code, but I can't compile... might just be in the wrong place, line 348 :
    response.sendRedirect(response.encodeRedirectURL('http://dev.sheridan.edu/uportal/errors/') );This is the whole exception file. Thank youf or your help.. I'm a newbie...

  • Error in BPM - Error when processing node '0000000065' ParForEach index

    Hi All,
    I have an issue .. I have done 1:n mapping successfully and would like to place the Send step in loop instead of a Block .. The reason being I have the count of how many times the Send step should executed for multiline.. I need to receive an Acknowledgement for each send step.. If I dont receive the required number of Acknowledgements then .. I need to revert back some Creations which is a business requirement ..
    So .. I have initialized a container operation variable i to '0' .. Then the loop condition is i < count .. Send the multi-container .. Receive the Response .. If dont receive the desired response for any one of the multi-line then I need to do a cancellation process in a loop again .. So .. now I am getting an Exception "Error when processing node '0000000065' (ParForEach index 000000)
    Message no. SWP088" in the loop step ..
    It is fine if somebody can suggest alternate logic can be applied as well but first preference to use a loop which consumes lesser system resources ..
    Kindly look into the Issue
    Regards,
    Raj

    if you use a loop step, you will send one message per time. ussing block step you have parallel processing ussing ParForEach. now is for  X reason the item cannot be created, do a roll back in the target system. the problem here you will do the rollback once the last message reach.
    the other posibility is to handle application ack in the sender step. it will let you know it the message was processed success and this ack could be the end condition of your block step. but you cannot use this with loop step.
    take a look to this

  • I get this error

    I get this error :"The name 'A' does not exist in the current context." And gere's the code.
    What I want to do:
    I want to check if my matrix.i file exists,and if it does I want to read the text from it.And if that file does not exist I want the user to insert it.
    private void lengthOfLargestArrayDimensionToolStripMenuItem_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    string ismatrix = "E:\\matrix.i";
    if (File.Exists(ismatrix))
    string A = System.IO.File.ReadAllText("E:\\matrix.i");
    else
    MessageBox.Show("Please insert a matrix...");
    Matrix subForm = new Matrix(this);
    subForm.Show();
    textBox1.Text = "A = " + A;
    textBox1.Text += Environment.NewLine;
    textBox1.Text += "l = length (A)";

    Inside your if statement you are declaring a variable called "A". As soon as the if block ends the variable will no longer be accessible. But later on you're trying to use it. In order for the later logic to see the variable it must be declared
    outside the if statement. Note however that if the file does not exist then the else block never assigns a value to "A" so it will be uninitialized when you try to show it later.
    private void lengthOfLargestArrayDimensionToolStripMenuItem_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    //Variables should be lowercased for consistency
    string A = "";
    string ismatrix = "E:\\matrix.i";
    if (File.Exists(ismatrix))
    A = System.IO.File.ReadAllText("E:\\matrix.i");
    else
    MessageBox.Show("Please insert a matrix...");
    Matrix subForm = new Matrix(this);
    subForm.Show();
    //Shouldn't you check for the file and try
    //to load the contents again? What if
    //the file still doesn't exist. Maybe
    //you should be using a while loop instead
    //of IF statement
    //If the textbox isn't multiline then this isn't going to work
    textBox1.Text = "A = " + A;
    textBox1.Text += Environment.NewLine;
    textBox1.Text += "l = length (A)";

  • Multi Mapping - BPM -  Block 1 ( No Agent )  Error  --  Help Please  ?

    I am trying the the BPM scenario using Integration Process
    BpmPatternCollectTime
    from SAP BASIS ® SAP BASIS 7.00 in
    the namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns
    I have done the scenario like the above . I have followed all the Steps which are used in above scenario.
    I am using a File Sender Adapter and Receiver Adapter .
    It is Successfully picked up the File but nothing is happening after that .
    I am using two receiver Determination one from Ob to IP and other from IP to FIleReceiver ( IB) .
    But, I am Getting error as Block1 (No agent) Error in the PE graphical diagram
    I have checked in SWWL my Integration Process Return code is "0"
    Can you please tell tell me how to solve this ?
    Can you please tell me this scenario is like Multiple Purchase Order Items to One Purchase Order
    Here they have given ID adn OverAllNumber . For ex. In one xml file I am sending
    ID as A100
    OverAllNumber as 120
    next 5 minutes putting the another file with contents
    ID as A100
    OverAllNumber as 130
    My Question is
    Will TWO files wiil come as Output in File Receiver or one file merged as like follows ?
    ID as A100
    OverAllNumber as 120
      ID as A100
    OverAllNumber as 130
    I am not  Clear in this please give some suggestions .
    Best Regards.,
    V.Rangarajan

    Hi Raj,
              Thanks for ur reply.
    While defining the receiver determination, sender agreement, receiver agreeement , Interface determination which Interfaces areu using?
                       Yes
    + by the way which pattern u are following the basis component , is it BpmPatternCollectMessage?+
                  No  . I have taken example as
    BpmPatternCollectTime
    from SAP BASIS ® SAP BASIS 7.00
    in the namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns
    I have done the scenario like the above . I have followed all the Steps which are used in above scenario.
    The steps Which i have followed in BPM are
    1. Block with Deadlkine branch and Exception handler( as TimeOut Exception)
    Block Start and Block End as New Transaction
    2. Inside Block infinite Loop which contains Receive step ( Actives the Correlation ) and Multiline Container element which appends the Messages with CollectMessage
    3. Transformation Step
    It creates the New Transaction and Interface Maping from CollectMessage List to New Mesage
    4. Send Step
                   It sends the New Message . It creates the New Transaction .
    Best Regards .,

  • Error in Transformation step of BPM

    Hi all,
    In BPM, I have defined a transformation step. For this, I have specified the Interface mapping which is between 2 abstract asynchronous interfaces. The Message Mapping for this Interface mapping involves multi-mapping (1:n) of the messages used.
    Also, for naming convenience, I have kept the names of the abstract async interface and its message type same.
    I have created containers for the message types of the both interfaces. The container for target message is of type 'multi-line'.
    When I checked the integration process, errors (red boxes) appear for both - the source and target messages in the transformation step properties window. The error text says <b>"Expression must return the interface type < Name of abstract message interface >"</b>
    What could be the cause of this error ?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Shankar,
    Are you splitting the messages i.e 1 message into N messages ? If so, do  you have multiple message types in the Message Mapping in the target side ?
    Anyway, just recheck the Abstract Interfaces are activated. And reassign the container variables with Source message Absract Interfaces and Target message Abstract Interfaces.
    The error tells that, there is somewhere occurence problem.. So that is mismatch with the Message Interfaces..because you have selected the Multiline in the COntainers right ? Check without that..if it is ok, to narrow down the debugging..

  • How to send a packaging request with a multiline description

    If I try to send a package request with this metadata description:
    <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">First Line
    Second Line</dc:description>
    Notice there is a carriage return between "First Line" and "Second Line".
    Then, the server will return a E_ADEPT_DISTRIBUTOR_AUTH error.
    If I remove the carriage return the packaging is done well.
    I would like to know how to send the multiline description or if it is not posible.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    It's not the faxformat in ITCPO.
    What I figured out by comparing my program with another program (printout of balance sheets) is that this other program is able to fax or to print but not at the same execution. When you execute the balance sheet program in order to fax, the sapscript formular is created with the printer POSTSCPT (driver: POST) and code page 1117. When you execute it for printouts another printer can be choosen and the code page is 1110.
    Could this be the problem of not beeing able to fax an existing spool (sapscript) request? Or is there a way to convert the OTFDATA from code page 1110 to 1117?
    Cheers,
    Thomas
