MultiPane for WD JAVA ?

Hi!:
I saw this doc:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/df/da8b412bb5b35fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
and I was wondering if something like Multipane is available for WebDynpro java.
Thanks a lot!
Rocio.

No, it's not available in WD Java. In NW 7.1, a similar element (RowRepeater) is available. Maybe you can use a table instead?

    Hi Vijay,
    Thanks for the quick reply.
I have gone through the notes 1535201  & now on 1606563  after your advise.
Both the notes says the fix is available on 7.01 after SP 07 and we are on SP 14 already.
Also just in case I did checked with our basis and they confirmed we are a head and we have the above notes in our release already.
Unfortunately the notes are not the solution to the investigation till date.
    Thanks,
    Sai

  • Ideas for a Java based Thesis

    Hi,
does anybody have any good ideas for a Java based Thesis project, something that could be completed in no more than 6 months. I have been working with Servlets & J2ME for over a year, but I'm having trouble coming up with a good/challenging project....
    Any help appreciated,
    Shane

You can find a ton of potential student projects here:

Dunno if any of them fit your criteria - but it's a start...

instead of the actual name of the program ie. ESR.
Does anybody know why this happens? Is there a way out to ensure that "ps -ef | grep java" gives the actual name of the java program being RUN?
    Thanks in advance,
    Harish

You have less chance to identify which programm that VM instance is running right now.
But you could (as we do) keep track of your programs if you save the process-id when you start the program.
We need this to shut down running java batch programs but you could find out the used system resources with this way as well...

  • How to create a .exe file for a java application

Hi, I want to create a .exe file for a java application I am developing so that I can schedule it to run at a particular time using Windows Scheduler on WinNT. Is there any way to accomplish this? Or is there any other way in which a Java application can be scheduled to run at a particular time on Windows everyday?

Create a .bat file and run that. Just have, in the .bat file:
java YourClassName Alternatively, you can use javaw YourClassName (without *.bat, just put it into Windows Scheduler like suggested above).
using javaw won't pop up any window...

  • Changing message server port for ABAP+Java Instance

    Hi,
We had change our message server port for the Java instance from 3607 to 3667.
We did this using the j2ee config tool. We also verified this information through the console config.
But when we look into system info URL using the URL as shown below,  we still that the old message server port is being used. We have recycled the instance couple of times , but does not seem to help.
    http://dfudsbw1.dfna.corp.dom:50700/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo
Any ideas where else we have to change the port no. for the message server

    Hi guys,
I solved this on my own with documentation help from SAP.
I had to change the port no. in the Global dispatcher and Global server area as well.
Please see details from SAP below.
"Message Server: Changing Ports/Hosts shows which areas need to be adjusted if
the port or host of the message server changes. Ports are, of course, changed in the
instance profile of the Central Services instance. In the example, the port 3677 and
the HTTP port 8177 have been set, and the new host is called twdfxxx. You need to
use the Config Tool to set these values. For each instance, you need to maintain the
corresponding values for the Message server host and Message server port on the
Message Server and Bootstrap tab page. The connection details for dispatchers or
servers to the message server are maintained in the Cluster Manager. As shown in the
figure, the ms.host and ms.port are maintained, respectively, in the Cluster Manager
with Global Dispatcher and the Global Server. After you have maintained all of the
parameters, you can start the instances."

Transmitting the message to endpoint <local> using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.idoc.exception.IDOCAdapterException: Error before sending due to idoc parsing error: (7) IDOC_ERROR_PARSE_FAILURE: Invalid XML 1.0 character encountered within IDocXML for type <ns0:Messages>:
    state=EXPECTING_IMMEDIATE_TAG_END, charPosition=68, lineNumber=1, columnNumber=69, invalidChar=U+0078,
    sourceSnippet=...UTF-8" standalone="no"?><ns0:Messages xmlns:ns0="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge"><ns0:Message1><...
    ^
    Mapping is one to many.
Each IDoc content has been compared manually against the xsd schema and it was fine.
I know that old way of modifying xsd is still possible.
    Best regards,
    Wojciech

Did you find a solution to this? Having a similar error right now.
    Thanks and kind regards

  • SMSY for ERP JAVA and ABAP Stack

Hi Folks - I have installed SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5 in one database called T12. Now there is a need for a Java stack and I have installed the Java stack in another database called J12.
I was able to define the ABAP stack on system landscape and MOPZ is working fine. However, I am not sure how I should go about the Java (J12) instance definidstion on SMSY.
I am using Somlam 7.1 on Oracle Linux system.
ABAP stack is on ERL 6.0 EHP5 and Java stack is Netweaver 7.0 EHP2.
J12 and T12 systems are connected via JCO.
SLD has been defined for both stacks and they are using the local SLD for the SolMan.
    Your help is much appriciated.

Sunny - I checked the SLD and It is working fine. There were couple of issues that I fixed. Since I defined the Java system manually I delete it. Hopefully SLD will populate the definition.
In same note, Would it be possible that installing ERP java and ABAP stack on different hosts (stand alone) is causing this issue, especially they are using different Sid's?
I was reading SAP Note 1344564, It states
III.Some Main Instances include other Main Instances (E.g., in SAP
ERP 6.0, Main Instance SAP NW - Enterprise Portal includes SAP NW -
EP Core.). If the including Main Instance is installed, it's not
necessary to mark the included Main Instance(s) for relevance.
Is this mean in SMSY I do not have to define any product for the Java engine? When installing the Java, I had to create the product manually to be able to generate the installation key.
    Your input is appreciated.

    HI Amol,
Did you check the Message type/Message Inetrface names in the Java Proxy ?
Also check for Receiever Determinations in the configuration.
I assume that , you have created the Communication Channel under the Business System created as Standalone Java System.. If not check this.
Go to SXI_CACHE and check for the Receiever Determination created in the Configuration...
    Hope this helps,
    regards,
    Moorthy

  • Looking for a java-based SDK that handles file conversion to PDF and TIF...

    Hi all,
First off, this is my first posting so I'm not 100% sure where to post this topic. So please forgive me if I'm accidentally posting in the wrong location.
My question deals with a project I am currently working on.
I am looking for a java-based SDK that can meet the following requirements...
    1) convert all printable file-formats (i.e. JPEG, DOC, TXT, PPT, etc.) into PDF
    2) merge multiple PDFs into one PDF
    3) convert PDF to TIF or at least do some sort of conversion to TIF
    4) works in Java or some sort of web-based language
    5) free or relatively cheap
Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

I don't think you will get one API to do them all.
    Some helpful hints:
[http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/] (with the pdf-image extension, that I can't find now :shakefist)

  • Php plugin 1.0 for sun java system webserver

    Hi,
I installed php plugin 1.0 for sun java system webserver 7. But it supports default 2 DB mysql and postgresql. Can i configure oracle 10g DB support?
Appreciate if you could throw some light on this.
    Thanks,
    Krish

Using PHP with NSAPI plugin will definitely get you the best performance. However, if you are using PHP with NSAPI plugin enabled then you might have to be careful when you are installing any of the PHP extensions from PECL to make sure that they are thread safe.
Note: There can be a potential issue only when using any of PECL (http://pecl.php.net) extension and not with any PEAR (http://pear.php.net) extensions.
For example, if you PHP built for NSAPI and then using on top of WordPress or Drupal or on top of frameworks like ZF etc should not be a problem
To compile PHP 5.3 with NSAPI, you would do some thing like
    ./configure --with-nsapi=<web-server7-install-directory>
To compile PHP 5.3 with FastCGI, you would do some thing like
    ./configure enable-cgi enable-force-cgi-redirect
