Multiplatform roll out for RDS

This may seem as a trivial question but can you have multiple versions of Windows Server when you rollout RDS. My plan is to stick with a base rollout for the component servers(ex RD Gateway and Licensing server...) probably Windows server 2008R2 or 2012
R2, however for the Session Host am i able to have a farm of 2008 and 2012 servers? I ask this because some applications that we have run now in 2008 but have not been tested on a 2012 server. I am kind of under the gun with this since our licensing for Citrix
is expiring and we are moving forward with RDS rather quickly. I would like to know your thoughts.
THanks

Hi,
The RD Session Host farms/collections need to be separate, however, you can share some components (RDG, RDWeb, RDL).  For example, you could have 2012 R2 RD Gateway, RD Web, and RD Licensing, and have it so that the RemoteApps on your 2008 R2 farms
show up in the 2012 R2 RDWeb.  That way users will see RemoteApps from both your Server 2012 R2 and 2008 R2 in the same place and can launch them as needed.
You need to have separate broker(s) for each version.  2008 R2 broker for your 2008 R2 RDSH farms, and 2012 R2 broker for your 2012 R2 collections.  There is some planning needed to give the best experience to the end users as well as understand
how to administer/configure both but it is doable.

  • Roll out for new plant need some informations

    Hi,
We are going to roll out for our 2nd plant. So I need your help.
    I am explaining the scenario,
Current scenario is: we have two manufacturing plants (ex:-one in noida and another in gurgaon) and in both plants we have six product line (in A plant=3, in B plant=3).
For both plants we are using one Company code (1000). and we are not using the business area.
But now the problem is this, that management wants separate reporting (P&l statement and Balance sheet) Plant wise and Product wise.
We decide to create a separate co- code for 2nd plant and six business area for product lines.
(In this regards I need your suggestions that how can we define the enterprise structure)
    Please tell me
    1. what new configurations we need to be done for new co-code?
    2. In which areas business area will be affected and how and where we will assign the business area?
    3. As we are doing transaction in sap since last year and we are doing this roll out in mid of 2008 so what will be the impact on the business.
    4. How we will transfer the transactional data from one co-code to another, because data of both plants lies in previous co-code(1000).
Data like:- A. Transfer of General ledger balances
              B. Transfer of open line items of General ledgers
              C. Transfer of asset and accumulated depreciation from one co code to another.
              D. Controlling transfer postings.
              E.  Customer / Vendor open items and balances transfer posting. Etc
If someone knew about something more to be taken care of, please guide so that we can successfully complete the roll out.
Please advice me, its urgent. if any one can give me his mobile to make me understood i can call to him .
    Thanks and regards

if they want to a seperate P&L and B/S the why dont you make them as profit centers where you can take a P&L n B/S. at this level

  • KitKat roll-out for Yoga Tablets starting June

Well, first of all I think, that this news deserve a separate topic, so please don't merge it with another one. Finally a Lenovo employee from Poland provided information about the KitKat roll-out for Yoga Tablets. For Wi-Fi version starting 9th of June and for the 3G version starting 23rd of June. Check out this link: LINK and here in German: LINK
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I rang Lenovo Support to see if I could get any further clarification on this and the person I spoke to cast doubt on whether KitKat would be coming to anything other than the soon to be released Yoga 10 HD+.  It was suggested that model would be released in May and receive the KitKat upgrade in June.
I mentioned media articles claiming that KitKat would be coming to all Yoga tablet models, and he gave the impression that support and updates for the original Yoga 8 and 10 models could end on release of the new model and that they may not even be capable of handling KitKat in any case.
I don't know whether that information is any more reliable or accurate than what has previously been posted, or is perhaps just more confusion and contradiction to add to the mix.

  • US based implementation roll out for France and India

We have a U.S. based implementation that is rolling out to France and India , and we have the U.S. chart of accounts set as the leading ledger. I knew France and India has their own country reporting format. Is it OK to just have country chart of account without activating the non- leading ledger? What needs to be considered for this country roll out .
    Thanks
    Gobi

    Hi  Arvind
I have same requirement for  India roll out implementation ; If you have implemented  non leading ledger  then share your experience
    Thanks

To check to see if you can get Infinity enter your phone number into the following link, if it mentions FTTC and a speed then you can order Infinity: http://dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome
Note: The street cabinet has to be enabled as well as the exchange.

  • Sales org roll out doubt

    Dear Peers,
My scenario:  CRM roll out for DE.
first CRM was implmented in US and the rollout is for DE. In R3 customer no:10 has assigned to 4 diff sales org included US and DE. Now i started the Initial load for the DE customers from R3 to CRM and the error i got is SYSFAIL and the detail is "Customer 10 is already assigned to a Business partner" and BUPA_MW_EXCHANGE103.
in filter settings R3AC1 i am maintinaing KNVV and KNVP tables.
my question is if do initial load for roll out , only aditional information i.e. Sales org details can be updated for the already existing customer in CRM?
i.e.in my scenario the customer 10 is already in CRM now only the DE sales org has to update for the customer 10. in future if we go for rollout of another country that sales org details has to be updated to the existing CRM customer will it be possible?
    Thanks,
    K
    Edited by: kesava9 on Dec 13, 2010 2:52 PM

    Hi,
Normally we only do Initial download once when we set up the system for the first time. after that all changes should be downloaded automatically needless of the sales org.
Now I would recommend to do a request download instead of an initial download, since updates for that customer will be updated automatically for each rollout scenario if the customer is already there. if the customer is not there it would create a customer and updates the sales org details as well.
Don't know if i answer your question correctly.
    Hopeit helps.
    Regards
    Sidd

  • Roll out methodology

    Hi,
our clinet has SAP 4.7 installed in  denmark. now  there will be a roll out in norway. my question is what are all the steps in a roll out for norway.
    1) business blueprint :- what steps will be there
    2) enterprise structure. :- norway will have different sale sorg. can we have the same compnay code as denmark.
    2) what all exisiting scenarios can be copied from denmark for norway. i mean to say if denmark has stock transfer, rush order, cash sale. do we only need to have sales scenaiors for norway too or can we have sale transactions different from denmark
    3) can we use exisitng document types used in denmark for norway. for instance if denmark is using standard order type ZSTD,  do we compulsory have to use ZSTD for norway too or we can use a different naming convention (like ZNOR) for norway. the reson iam asking this is beause in a roll out, i think  enterprise structure/documen types are on the same lines and only tax treatment is differnt.
    4) we have Z tables used in sd module. can we use the same z tables for making entires for norway considering the busines transaction is same or we have to use new z tables for norway.
my main confusion is a roll out follows the same template as of the main country as in denmark.... ??
can any body explain from practical view point.
    regards
    sachin

    Hi there,
    1) Business blue print is your understanding of the business process. It depends on any customized requirement for Norway.
    2) Business should decide on weather they assign Norway to another coompany code. Accordingly you should define your org structure. Company code if defined by FI not SD.
    3) Standard SAP transactions should be copied into Norway. Assign your order types & pricing, O/p, A/c determiantions to Norway sales area. Also maintain shiopping point & route determiantions for Norway. All the details to be provided by business.
    4) Yes Z tables which are generic / transaction specific are not dependent on countries. You need to maintain them. Check if you need to develop any country specific codes.
Usually roll out proj will have the same functionility extended to other regions as well. So there may not be much change in the processs flow.
Check if there are any new condition types (taxes) / O/p types (shipping / invoice docs) required for Norway specific. Maintain them accordingly.
    Regards,
    Sivanand

    Hi
You can configure most of the tabs while copying the PA/PSA to new one with all groupings. other method is go to table V_001p_all map the all grouping's same as existing to the new PA/PSA.
So that most of the config will be done, but you need to check all the tabs once againg and do the testing.
    Good luck

  • BT Infinity Roll Out Dates - Keep Slipping - Why O...

I have been waiting for the roll out for 4 months now. When I checked the availability in May the telephone number checking program  said it would be available on June 30th. Then a few days before this date it slipped to September 30th. Now a few days ago it went back to 31st December. Why does this keep on happening ?

i have the same problem - even brought a super-duper-new win7 4core computer a month ago as my old xp 2xcore one may be too slow to cope with infinity.
it is either the demand they have for those who have infinity, or they are sending too many engineers sorting out the problems with the current system, and would not cope with the demand. on reading the other forums on here, i would say the latter is more apt, even if moving people to infinity may cure theother problems.
welcome to the world of last wednesday week.
there's now't wrong with 2 cans and a piece of string. at certain times, it is often faster.

    2) Roll out strategy for E-RECRUITING 605, EHP5 Integrated model.(EREC & HR same system)
    Other Queries
    3) What differentiates a EREC Roll-out from EREC implementation ?
    4) What are the Do's & Don't in a roll-out ?
    5) What client approach strategy/methodology to be adopted in a roll-out project ?
    6) Which areas are the focus during a EREC roll-out project?
    7) What is the scope of EREC functional, Portal/WDA technical, Basis Team members in a Roll-Out project ?
    Look forward for inputs
    Regards,
    ER.

    Hi,
Every Roll-out of SAP modules is similar based on the functionalities required for each of the countries or employee groups rolled out to.
some of the Key things for E-recruitment Roll-out are-
    1) Processes are defined and documented in the Blueprint already which have been developed and tested.
    2) If there is any country specific changes, like language, external candidates profile, application wizard process, questionnaire.
    3) Recuiter should ensure to use appropriate process templates respective to the various roll-out specifics
    4) The project would be executed in the ASAP methodlofy with Regression testing of critical processes currently in process.
    5) Functional and Technical resources would be required based on the scope changed with the developed/ already implemented e-Rec solution. Basis and security are required from the server maintenance, assigning roles, performance testing and for updates if any to TREX
In a nut-shell, ensure you are combining and harmonising the Client specific processes with SAP standard functionalities for effecient maintenance and exploring various functionalities linked to MSS.

  • Roll out-different markets

    Hi,
Iam new to this forum but not sure where to post this question. Pls tell me where to post and in the meantime can someone guide me on the following
we are in France and we are doing some changes for France market  in SAP. Additionally we need to do roll  out for Romania, sweden market and swiss market i.e. our company is not in sap in Romania but we are on SAP in sweden but need to bring in some additional functionalities for swedish market.
My question is ,can we do the roll rout for Romania market and  do some major changes for existing swedish market right here sitting witth the whole team in France including doing integration testing , cutover etc.... or do we need to form additional team in Romania ?
our present team in France  can handle the task for Romania (roll out) and changes for sweden. But the issue is it necessary to have a team in romania and sweden too (i mean for  blueprint/realisation phase at least ) ??
    regds

For organizations with lots of business units, locations, as a safe approach sometimes, the implementation will be carried out in one place. If found sucessful and acceptable, then the same will be "rolled out" to other business units, locations with or without modifications.
IN this context you would also have heard of a concept called "global template". The global template will be built and this template will be "rolled out" to other locations with or without modifications.
