Multiple Blackberry sync to one pc

We have 10 delivery drivers. We are giving them all blackberry bolds from verizon. I would like to setup one pc with outlook using one main email account. The drivers will each also have their own personal work email on the phones plus the one main account. We would like the drivers to be able to sync their phones with this one pc and get the same calandar and contact information. This way if the boss adds a new contact or event in calandar in the outlook on the pc all the drivers will get the updated info when they sync to the pc. Enterprise server is not an option for us. I am using the desktop software. Can someone explain or direct me to an article to read on best practices for this method? Thanks!

Hi BolivarDaughtry,
Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Syncing multiple devices with one computer isn't recommended, however you may want to try a one way sync from the PC to each device. This will transfer all changes made in the calendar and contacts on the PC to each device and not transfer any information from the devices back to the PC. http://bit.ly/aHHqkL
Hope this helps,

  • Multiple iPad sync on one computer fail

I am confused about how to maintain two iPads on one computer.  Try it and I get dialog boxes threatening to erase all the content on one iPad.  Do I creat multiple libraries? That seems risky in light of the "threat" message in the dialog boxes. Is there a simpler way. Why can't I just plug iPad #1 and iPad #2 into a computer and have iTunes recognize that each one should have a separate library? This seems really silly.

    Hello there, OC Reporter.
The following Knowledge Base article addresses just how to manage multiple iOS devices with one computer:

  • Will apps from multiple accounts sync on one device

When I first started using iTunes I was too young to have an iTunes account so I used my mums to make purchases to sync to my iPad via the computer. A few years later I had created my own account when I got my laptop mainly to purchase movies to watch and music for my iPod however the email I used I no longer use as it keeps getting spammed.
I recently purchased a new iPad via the apple store(waiting for delivery) which I made a new apple account for what I am wondering is that as I did all of my app syncs for my old iPad via my computer all my apps are on my iTunes on my laptop however I was wondering if I were able to sync up my apps, music and new apps to my new device via my laptop without issue as they have come from multiple accounts.

As long as there are five or fewer Apple IDs involved, you won't have a problem syncing the content. Note that the applications can only be updated from the Apple ID used to download them, and this may also apply to in-app purchases.

  • Multiple Iphones sync with one computer

Can I set up two Iphones to syn with a PC Laptop?  How?

Yes, multiple iPhones can sync with a single computer. I do not know the limit, probably harddrive space of the computer. Just open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer, select iPhone in left column of iTunes, click Sync button of iTunes. When done, connect other iPhone and repeat steps. You can keep the iPhones information different and always separate or you can restore them from the same back-up and keep them similar.

  • Multiple BlackBerry devices with one BIS account

    Hi,
I'm planning to get a second BlackBerry and I want to use it together with my current one (not at the same time of course). My provider (O2) supports up to three devices for one plan (they'll send me copies of my SIM card for the other devices, so they all can be active at the same time), so that's no problem. However, I also want to have both devices connected to my BIS account, so my mails will be pushed to both devices at the same time, and I want to be able to use BBM on both devices at the same time. I'm afraid that when I connect my new BlackBerry to my account, the old device will be disconnected automatically.
Has anyone tried that before or does anyone know where to find information about this matter?
    Best regards,
    Jonas

Well when you said copies of the SIM card, are they just giving you extra ones, each with a different SIM number? Each SIM card has a unique number associated with it so it should work.
Actually now that I think about it if it's a copy of the SIM card with the same phone number then I don't think it will work. Like you said before if you switch devices the new one will be active. I think if it's a different SIM card with a different telephone number (like an additional line on the account if you're on a family plan) then it should work.

  • Multiple iPhones synced to one iMac?

Is it possible to sync 3 different iPhones to Address Book and/or iCal on the same computer AND allow each iPhone to get its own Contacts. Example: I had the first iPhone on our computer. Son and wife got them recently. Apps and music not a problem. We want wife to be able to sync HER contacts, which are not MINE.

Sure. Create separate Groups in Address Books and separate Calendars in iCal. Check the appropriate boxes in iTunes on the Info tab when you sync. My wife and I each have our own sets, and an 'ours' set of contacts as well. iTunes manages the devices separately, you can also choose to have different apps, different playlists, etc., on each device.

  • Is there and app that does the following. Multiple apps are showing a clock in different rooms, all are synced together, one ipad is a master ipad and if you change the time on it all other ipads change the time

None of the spreadsheet apps that work with Excel files offer anything like full native support in iOS.  Apple's own Numbers app pairs down features for the iOS version.  The hardware is simply not up to what a true computer is capable of, so all apps like QuickOffice, DocumentsToGo, Numbers and so forth offer reduced features from their computer-version counterparts.
I think a custom app will be your only real choice, be it a fully standalone app, or something built in filemaker or some other db-based platform.

  • GCalendar Multiple Calendar Synchronizing on one account

I'm thinking about changing from an iPhone to a Blackberry 9380.
    My question is this,
I am very organzed and keep 10 Calendars on one gAccount. So when I create an event for work to be done on my Truck, I put it in the Truck Calendar... When it's for my daughters, I put it in there Calendar (Each have there own named).
From what I have been reading, this is not possible with the Blackberry for Sync ... From what I have read, it's only capable of syncing with one (main) calendar.
Please prove me wrong so I can pick up a new Blackberry 9380 today :-) (It's one of many Chirstmas gifts to myself).. hehe

Hello Sdswmr and welcome to the Palm forums.
I'm not seeing this issue on my Pre with webOS 1.4.5 installed.  If I create a calendar event, and select one of my other Google Calendars, that event is pushed to the correct calendar and I see it in Apple's iCal.  Similarly, if I create a new event in iCal, it shows up correctly on my Pre.
Have you tried removing all of your Google accounts and readding them?  What other troubleshooting have you done?

  • Multiple apple devices using one library

I have two i-pod classics with 30 GB capacity. I love them, and they still work well. I have purchased them probably 5 years ago. I have one at home and one at work. I sync them to the same i-tunes library. I have upgraded my computer 5 times since I purchased them. Now I just ordered an i-pod nano with 16 GB capacity.I would like to sync it to my current library. Can I do this? What about the 5 computer limit for i-tunes? 3 are no longer being used. I have two new computers that I use side by side for work-from-home telecommuting. What should I do when my new i-pod nano comes in? I just purchased it today. My current library has over 2,000 songs-most downloaded from my CDs and a few purchased from i-tunes.

    Hello marie136,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
The limit of 5 computers is referring to the number of computers you have authorized to play your purchased content. If you have reached the limit you can either deauthorize computers you no longer use or if you no longer have access to them, you can always use the *Deauthorize All* option. I would recommend reading up on this support article for a better understanding of authorization and deauthorization and the limit of 5 computers.
[About iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1420]
As for syncing the new Nano, there is no limit to the number of iPods you can sync to one iTunes library, account, or computer. Simply hook it up, set it up sync whatever and however you like and be on your way. See this article on how to manage multiple iPods with one computer if you are interested.

  • Multiple calendar events in one email

I would like to ask if Blackberry supports to read multiple events invitation in one email.
I tried to attach two iCalendar (.ics) files, but the blackberry just picked one of the events to display as "one event",  the other is missed (disappeared).
I tried to modify the iCalendar file to contain multiple events, but the blackberry just read it as "application/X-rimdevicecalendar". When I tried to open the attachment, it prompted "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device" while Outlook can read the file and import into Outlook calendar correctly.
Does Blackberry support this? Or I need to use other format?
Appreciate for any help and response!!

I learned that this is not possible in my version of CRS XI R2

  • Multiple Async/Sync bridge

    Hi All,
I have read about single Async/Sync and Sync/Async bridges without using BPM. But my scenario is somthing where multiple Async/Sync bridges are required.
Here data will come in the form of an IDOC which is sent to a Oracle database server where we run a stored procedure and get one particular field 'xyz' which has to be updated to SAP R/3 system through a RFC. So it is something like:
    IDOC->Oracle->RFC->SAP.
I have tried this using BPM, it is working fine. But because of performance issue, I would like to do it without using BPM. Can anybody please help me out in finding whether it is possible without BPM. If yes, then how?
    Thanks
    Jaya

    Jaya,
There is no need for BPM in ur scenario. You just need to write UDF in ur mapping program and can fetch the data from ORACLE and pass it to RFC.

  • Blackberry Sync

    Hi,
I wish to sync my Blackberry to my Mac Book Pro, but I need a one way sync only from Blackberry to Mac.
The Blackberry Desktop Software for Mac does not show any option for a one way sync (like the Blackberry Desktop for Windows, which has three options ie. one way sync (BB to PC), one way sync (PC to BB) and a two way sync.
The BB Desktop for Mac has only a two way sync option, which can totally mix up the data.
When I chose the sync option, the BB started showing me old tasks and other stuff like previously deleted contacts, which I no longer needed.
    Help appreciated..
    Thanks.

Isn't there a way to open the sync program and or the BB desktop and delete those old entries?
There must be a setting in the preferences to not sync old data and or sync only one way. Otherwise it is totally useless. You would need to contact the people that write and supply that software

  • How many computers can sync to one ipad?

I teach at a university.  Our department is discussing ordering several iPads (maybe iPod Touches, also) for faculty to share.  Faculty would be creating materials for the classroom and using the iPad in place of written/printed notes and/or for presentations.  The question I raised is how many computers can sync to one iPad?  My assumption is that individual faculty would create such materials on their office or personal computers, then load those materials onto an iPad.

All iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, Touch) are designed to sync with a single iTunes library, i.e. a single computer.
You can sync multiple iOS devices to the same iTunes library (same account) or multiple iOS devices to the same computer with different iTunes accounts and libraries.
In your case, if each individual creates their own material, they can sync it from their iTunes account (library) on their computer.
Also, there are many apps out there that allow you to move files from the cloud to the device, i.e. Box.net, Airstash, Dropbox, etc.  Perhaps you could set that up and have individuals create material, sync it to the cloud and then allow others to access it via the iPad.
I suggest you contact other faculty at other universities that may have done this, perhaps via some faculty forums.

  • Blackberry sync using EAS not working (Q5)

Just quick link, I followed a forum link from Blackberry about resolving one way sync issues, it had a possible resolution step of registering the CDO.DLL file from the exchange/bin folder which I've done and appears to have gotten sync working again.
I'm thinking perhaps something got de-registered when we removed the BES server from our environment and move purely to active sync?
Either way working for the moment, would still appreciate any tips people might have though!

    Hi All,
We're having an issue getting sync for calendars working when going from Blackberry Q5's to Exchange. Basically, emails and everything are syncing fine but Calendars are a complete hit and miss. The Exchange server is a2003 server but we've got other devices syncing fine to it (like Samsung S6 and other devices).
The initial sync works, but subsequent ones either don't work or are one way only (from Q5 to Outlook, not the other way). I've been reading online that for some reason a blackberry device can setup a one way sync.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Its causing a major headache!
    Thanks,
    Sam
