Multiple bugs in multiple apps but only for me and not my friends

I have a lot of problems with various apps that ONLY happen for me, none of my friends with the same apps get these problems.
I have tried the following:
Backup and restore - doesnt fix it
start over again redownloading the apps by syncing - Seems to fix things, a few days or a week later the problems reappear (might be after I did another sync)
started on my 3gs, also happens on my 4
So I think there is a problem in my account somewhere and no idea how to fix it at all.
So really what I would like to do is just transfer only my app purchases to a new account and start fresh from there, I wouldnt even mind if the old account was then deleted either but I dont mind either way
Oh and before someone asks its not and never has been jailbroken.

The cause: It is now clear what caused this problem. For years I had several “all-day” events in my Outlook calendar (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.). In May 2012 I decided to make some of them one hour events so I could add alerts to remind me of the event. I did this by dragging them in Outlook to the time I wanted and expanding them to the time slot desired and then adding the alarm.
The symptom: Syncing stopped working for the calendar but continued working for contacts and notes. I didn’t realize sync was failing until months later when I missed two very important phone calls, so when I noticed it the cause was not obvious.
The failed attempts: I’m head of a software firm and my calendar sync is a crucial to my business life so I took this on with a vengeance. From a quick look at events in Outlook and the iPhone I could see that the problem started in May 2012. Events before May were in both Outlook and the iPhone but events after May were only one or the other. Unfortunately I had changed several other things at the same time relating to other events so again the cause was not obvious. MANY calls with AppleCare proved them incompetent so my internal IT guys assisted trying many things. We tried a huge number of calendar changes and several versions of iTunes, iPhone OS and Office as well as both iPhone 4 and 5, all without success.
The fix: After 18 months of frustration, MANY hundreds of $ expense and MANY hours of wasted time I saw a blog that had a calendar sync problem and it indicated all day events were related. I changed the display of the Outlook calendar to the list view, added columns so I could see “all day” event check marks as well as times of events, sorted on the “all day” event column to move them to the top, and for all events that were “all day” events AND had a start and end time, I removed recurrence and then added the annual recurrence back…
After I fixed all events that had BOTH “all day” set and had a start/end time, I tried another sync. It synced for the first time in 18 months!
Problem occurred May 2012 – fixed Nov 2013

Hi, to remove dummy '_ModGrp' entries, rather than crashing the 'Suppr' key on your keyboard, you can use this basic VBA macro (launched for instance from Excel).

I want to install an app but only for one user on my imac with Lion

Setup of iWork in your wife's account should only occur the once.
Updates can be performed through your account and are usually performed via Software Update.
Messages should not be popping up in your wife's account if all the iWork updates have been performed.
Go to Software Update and download and install all the iWork updates.
Unless you keep OSX up-to-date, messages will continue to come up when your wife logs into her account.

ISight not working with Apple apps but only with Skype and flash....

Hi guys, don't know why but suddenly my isight stopped working with every apple application, like ichat, imovie and photoboot, but it still works with skype and safari (flash).
The camera simply doesn't work, the green led stays off.... I tried resetting PRAM, SMC, deleted .plist files, tried new account and everything...
Maybe the problem is facetime, I uninstalled it by simply dragging it to the trashcan, so I followed a thread here and manually deleted its last files but no luck....
Please guys help me, I really hope I don't have to FORMAT my mac... sounds so windows to me XD...

(1) Your initial post shows you using Mac OS X (10.6.6),
but your latest post shows Mac OS X (10.6.5).
Have you "downdated" to 10.6.5?
(2) iSight works with iMovie, Photo Booth, QuickTime, and other apps like Address Book,
etc. You need not try every possible app, but please tell us which you have tested,
and which, if any, work with your iSight.
(3) Have you tested iSight operation in more than one user account?
Are the symptoms EXACTLY the same in any user account you test?
(4) If your only problem is with ALL apps in ALL user accounts, try applying the
Combo Update using the method suggested in this recent post:

My volume doesn't work but only for music and apps; everywhere else it's normal. What can I do?

my iphone is unable to play music out loud, and only works with the assistance of speakers or headphones. I know it can play out loud as the alarm/ringtone etc all work, and also when I put my phone in speaker docks, just before it connects it plays mystic out loud through the phone speakers. Just not when I want it to!! Any help would be much appreciated

Use volume button on ZTE Open only for music and not for ringtone/sms/alarm

I wounder if its possible to override the volume button on the device so it dosent change the ringtone and sms volume? I had this feature on iOS where I can set the ringtone and notification volume then a switch that sad "Change with buttons" = true || false.
My Android device (Padfone2) did not have this feature and I end up missing calls and sms because you turn the volume up and down when you browse the web, listening to music ect.
Does someone know if this is possible on my ZTE Open with FFOS 1.1?

So as per stated before, the Ringer & Notification has a different setting than the Alarm, as well as the Telephony voice and the content as well as blue tooth volume.
I agree that it can get rather confusing with which volume is getting affected when. In general if the sound is currently going off, then most likely that is what the volume is controlling. We should probably file a bug on somehow getting the volume controlling less confusing.

Force client cert only for anyconnect and not for ssl-clientless?

I need to configure different authentication for anyconnect clients and clients logging in using the ssl portal in the browser.
I want both AAA and certificate for anyconnect but i want ONLY aaa for the ssl portal (clientless)
I tried using two tunnel groups with different authentication settings but i need the same alias available for both clientless and anyconnect and when i tried that it said i cant have two with the same alias.

It seems you should be able to set up a two different client profiles. Under Authentication, ssl-client would would specify "Both" and the sslclientless would specify AAA. You would likely have to duplicate much of the other work but the requirement would be satisfied.

Hi, I can't get Firefox to ask me if I want it to remeber username and passwords that I type in when using client accounts in a system i am using at work, seems to do this only for some and not all entries.

I have deployed a Developer 6.0 application on the web
(Internet). I am using Application Server 4.0.7.1 on Windows NT
SP4. Of course and also JInitiator.
On a 128 MBPs Internet line
The time to access www.yahoo.com was around 5 seconds. The time
taken to download the Employee Details Applet was around 6
minutes. This is certainly not acceptable.
I want to prove that Developer WebForms is also deployable and
can be used on the Internet as well as the Intranet. I was sadly
disappointed.
I have not tweaked any parameters on the Application Server. So
it is possible I am missing something.
Can anybody please comment on this?

After multiple repair procedures with reboot in AA8 I was eventually able to restore the printing to pdf function from various software. However I have again lost my Acrobat tab in Outlook 2007. I need that back, but today an even bigger problem arose. AA8 has stopped printing to fax. It faxes a blank page. The only fax printing option is “Microsoft Shared Fax Driver”. My fax software is “Windows Fax and Scan” and it was working fine just a couple weeks ago. My OS is Windows 7 Professional.

Thanks Jeff! So, it totally appears as if it was a network issue. The corporate network where I work is quite likely the culprit. Where I was thrown off is that since I have admin rights on my computer, I can install software. But using Adobe Application Manager to install Adobe software wasn't working. And to make matters worse, there didn't appear to be any way to install Acrobat Pro for Mac without using AAM. The workaround that I used previously was to install the trial versions of Adobe software, and then just register them using my username and password. But the workaround for being able to install everything using AAM was to bring my computer home and download from my home network.

It may not be a good soloution for a novice, but I have been using hosts files to block unwanted URLs for many years with zero disasters and lots of positive results.
As I noted, whenever I find a new "bad" site, I simply add the name to my hosts file. It takes a few seconds and then it's gone forever. I find no difficulty whatsoever.
No, it's not for everyone, which is why I gave no specific details; but for those who are interested and have the desire to learn about these hosts files, it is a very good way to avoid "bad" websites.
I also enjoy the "clean" view of a webpage when there are no ads showing at all. The page loads faster and the distractions are gone.
I never realized how much junk I am supressing until I got my iPad and saw all those horrid ads that are blocked on my other computers.

If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply.

If your iPod is set to update automatically take care when connecting to a different computer if your current one is out of commission. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it.
