Multiple copies of same photo on same page seems to assume A4?

I'm trying hard to work out how to print out multiple copies of the same picture. I want to get 2 copies on each 4x6" sheet of photo paper and have followed all the steps...
Selected 1 picture, hit print, went to Settings, selected "Multiple of the same photo per page".
I then went to Print Settings, selected Borderless 4x6 (yes, the printer works fine with that usually - HP Photosmart C4280) and set the Print Size to 2x3 and the preview shows the 2 copies of the same photo side-by-side no problem.
So I hit OK, clicked on Print and...
It's not aligning with the left hand side of the 4x6 - it's not respecting the selected paper size. If I put in a sheet of A4 to test, the 2 pictures come out in the centre of the page (in the requested size). So as a result I can't print on the 4x6 paper as most of the picture gets printed on nothing!
Am I doing something wrong or is this some kind of bug in either iPhoto or the HP printer driver? Anyone had any success with this? If so, what kind of printer were you using?

Jemster:
Here's the workflow I used to get 2 2x3s on a 4x6:
1 - select photo & click on print button
2 - select 4x6 borderless and 2x3 print size
3 - click Customize button
4 - click on settings button
5 - select "Multiple of same photo per page" (after clicking OK two photo are shown on the preview)
6 - click on the Print button.
Where I differ is that I don't go back to Print Settings to select the 4x6 paper size after Step 5. Give that a try.
NOTE: Do a Print to PDF to check it out instead of printing on paper. That will save some paper in case it doesn't work.
That gives me two photos on the 4x6. I'm using a Canon i850. I also get the same results with an Epson R280.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • How do you print multiple copies of one photo on a page in iPhoto '08?

I've tried everything that I can think of, yet no success.
It used to be so easy in '06! As you changed the settings for n-up, it would show you a live preview as well!
Has anyone found a solution to this? If it is not possible, it is a GLARING omission.
    Thanks for your help.

    Flugel:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. That feature has been dropped from iPhoto. You'll have to use a 3rd party application like Portraits and Prints that should be able to do what you want.

  • Multiple copies of the same photo on a page in iPhoto 11?

Can I print multiple copies of the same photo on a page in iPhoto 11?

    Try the following:
1 - put the photo in an album and duplicate it as many times as the number of prints you want on a given page. This is assuming the page is US Letter (borderless).
2 - select all the prints and type Command+P (Print).
3 - in the next window select Paper Size to be US Letter (borderless).
4 - also, at the bottom of the window, select the aspect ratio and a custom size that will allow you to get all of the photos on one page.
This screenshot is for a photo that has a size ratio of 4:3, was duplicated 3 times and then printed with a custom size of 4x3 selected to get four prints on the page. You can experiment the custom size until you get the largest possible size for the 4 photos on the page.

  • HOW DO I PRINT MULTIPLE COPIES OF ONE PHOTO ON A SINGLE PAGE?

Since Apple has not made this feature available, I am not able to print multiple copies of a single photo on one page. HELP suggested I download Portraits and Prints which I could use for free. However, I have downloaded this and note that DEMO watermark will appear on all photos unless I purchase the program. Is there a way to print without the DEMO watermark using this program or is there another free program that will allow me to print multiple copies of a single photo on a single page? Please help as I have spent 2 hours on the phone with Apple and it has gotten me no closer to a solution - something I could easily have done on the older versions of I Photo. Thanks!

Sadly, I have no pull down menu when I click on Customize or settings? I am using IPhoto 08 vers. 7.0.1. I was told by Apple HELP that this feature is not yet available, even though the instructions say to do exactly what you have said. But there is no pull down menu and no option to print multiple photos. It says print a single photo and it is clicked and I cannot unclick it. Any help would be appreciated. Do you actually have a pull down menu with Print Multiple Copies of One Photo as an option? What version of IPhoto provides this? Apple seems to think it is not available and it certainly isn't available on my system. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Multiple copies in Aperture Photo Stream

I use one photostream for two iPhone 4Ss, an iPad 2, Apple TV, and on two MacBooks (both running Lion, one using Aperture 3 and one using iPhoto '11).
I have Aperture running on my Late 2009 13" Unibody MacBook Pro automatically import photostream photos taken on my iPhones into the usual "month year Photo Stream" folders.
Here is my issue: when I click on the Photo Stream "Library" on the in Aperture, I find MULTIPLE copies of each photo.  The older the photo in photo stream, the more copies (my oldest photo from almost 5 months ago has almost 80 copies!).  The most recent photos only have a single copy with number of copies increasing as the photos get older.  The first most recent duplicate is from 2 weeks ago with 2 copies.  This applies to both photos taken on my iDevices directly to the stream and also photos uploaded to the stream from a DSLR via Aperture.  I'm concerned that having 80 copies of older photos (already copied to another folder in my Aperture library) will take up unnecessary space in my Aperture library.  I am also afraid to delete any of the copies for fear that they will be removed from the photo stream of any of my multiple devices (some still displaying photos older than 30 days, eg. Apple TV).
Any idea why this is occurring?  Any thoughts on preventing it?

I'm having the same problem.  I deleted all the photos in the photostream then tried to drag a couple new ones in to see if they'd synch.  Nothing is happening.  I recently installed aperture (have about 125 gb in the library).  If anyone has an idea what to do, i'm open to try something.

  • Printing multiple copies of one photo on one sheet

Since I don't find this on the forum, I must be the only one who can't figure out how to do this, but before I upgraded, when selecting "print", I could also select how many photos per page, and I could print out one page with more than one copy of a photo. For example a whole sheet of wallet size, or two 5X7s on the same sheet. I can't find this selection option any more. Where is it?
    Thanks,
    Quonkeree

If you go back there is a solution (workaround) that as I remember involves picking the photo you wnat to print multiple copies of and other photos to bring the count up to what you want to print (2, 4, 9 etc) then somewhere down the way in the print process replacing the photos you used a placeholders with the one you want to print giving you multiple up of the same photo - I have NOT done this but it was described sometime recently on this forum - try a search

  • Problems with multiple copies of each photo

I'm relatively new at using Photoshop Elements and when I was moving my photos from my old computer to my new one using an external hard drive I got multiple copies when I uploaded them to my new computer. How do I avoid this?
I think that I had the same photos in diffrent files on the external hard drive and thus got them four times on my new computer. Do I need to sit and erase them by hand(it's 13 000!!) or what do I do. I cann't just let them be, they take up way too much space on the computer.
How do I do not to make the same mistake again the next time I need to move them?
This probably is a silly problem when you are used to the program but we are all beginners some time I guess! Hope you can help me...

You can stack the duplicate images and delete the stack. While deleting the stack, application asks which photos present in the stack you need to delete. The stack can be formed from automatically suggest stacks and then you can stack them at one place. You can try this thing first with a small group of images.

  • Multiple copies of one photo in Aperture

    Hi,
I have just bought Aperture, and I'm dying to get started. However, a very basic thing annoys me quite a lot. I would like to make an Album with photos I can perform experiments on, but no matter what I do, the changes also apply to the "originals" in the Event from which they were taken.
Isn't there an easy way to have multiple copies of the same photo in Aperture? I guess the solution must be simple, but I just can't figure it out.
    Thanks,
    Michael Knudsen

    Michael,
Either use the Command to Duplicate Version, or New Version from Master depending upon whether your experiment needs to start with the latest edited version, or from the scratch position of the Master. Then you can either Remove the original version from an Album if already there, or move the new version it to a new Album as desired.

  • Adressing multiple copies of Movieclips with the same instance name

Is it possible to iterate through MV copies with the same instance name? It would be very useful for my project.

you can copy movieclips with the same instance name but you'll only be able to easily control (with actionscript) the last created instance.  the rest will be difficult to reference.
although, if the only movieclips attached to the parent are the ones you are interested in and you want to do that same thing to all of them (say rotate them all), you can do that without giving them distinct names.

  • Can open multiple copies of single document at same time; is there a way to stop this?

We are running, Mac Pros with OS10.6.8 and CS5.5 . In the past with CS5 if you tried to open an InDesign document that was already open, it would take you to the open document. Since we upgraded to 5.5, if someone tries to open a document already open, it opens a second window of the same document (happens when preference is set to open in tabs also). This is causing problems with saving changes in one version and not the other. Sometimes when the second copy of the document is closed (changes were not made in this copy) it gets copied over the one with the changes.  Is there a setting somewhere to stop this?

That makes sense. Until the file is actually saved it doesn’t truly exist as a 5.5 file.
You’ll see the word in the title bar.
Save the file in 5.5 and you shouldn’t have any problems.

  • Problem with multiple copies of Office 2013 in same account

    Hi,
Over the last year or more we have replaced PCs in the office and bought one copy of Office Home & Business 2013 for each. We follow the correct installation procedure and each time another Office Home & Business gets added to the list in our office.com
account. They all look identical - there is nothing to indicate when they were installed, the PC they were installed on etc.
Recently, we had one install of Office that refused to start. We tried and failed to repair the installation as suggested, so moved on to uninstall/reinstall. I noticed there was an different id in the code of each of the install buttons when we look at
the long list of identical 30 Office H+Bs we have in our account. No idea which we should pick, or whether it matters, so picked a random one. Installation finished. I had to phone up to activate as it complained that this was already a registered
product. Completed this and got Office back working.
That was yesterday. Today I switched on another PC which was very recently set up but not in use yet and found Office had stopped working on this too. I'm concerned now that the installation download is locked to one particular installation and if so, how
do I know which one is which, so I don't spend the rest of the year wandering round reinstalling office on PCs and finding I've broken it on another one each time?!
Yes, I know volume licensing may be more sensible for a business but we don't renew everything at once, and most of our PCs now have a standalone license which covers them probably for at least 4-5 years.
    thanks
    Darren

What is the error that the Office stopped working for? I wonder if it's Key related. Try running it in Safe Mode to test the result.
Generally, if you just uninstalled and reinstalled, you don't need to put in the product key again. If you really need to know "which one is which", try this:
    http://www.msoutlook.info/question/537
We can find the license keys for Office 2013 via a script from Microsoft:
    Office 2013 (32-bit) on a 32-bit version of Windows
    cscript
    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSPP.VBS" /dstatus
    Office 2013 (32-bit) on a 64-bit version of Windows
    cscript
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSPP.VBS" /dstatus
    Office 2013 (64-bit) on a 64-bit version of Windows
    cscript
    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSPP.VBS" /dstatus
It only displays the last 5 characters, but should be enough to tell which is which.
