Multiple Correlations PI 7.1
Hello Guys!!!
I wonder if anyone has been there:
Developing the IP 7.1
I am using a BPM with 5 correlations, all in Block, all with local correlation;
It happens that the first correlation is performed using FILE Adapter, a receiver and another sender (with success) to reach the second correlation, the data leave the BPM through a Receiver Adapter FILE however, to return to BPM by a Sender Adapter FILE error occurs in the Receiver in BPM, the correlation, and the call is stuck in the queue XBTO.
ps.: I am not using the content conversion File Adapter
Already checked the data from related fields, are ok, the Integration Builder Directory, too everything is ok
After the error occurs which, taken from the Trace, TCODE SXI_MONITOR.
Best Regards.

I am not sure on what you have actually written.
It would be nice if you could just write the entire thing in small paragraphs
Guess you are facing some issue with the BPM.
Suggest you to go through this troubleshooting guide for BPM

Converting multiple correlated self-referencing subqueries to Analytic Func
I have a peoplesoft query that I am trying to improve the performance on. Using DBMS_XPLAN with gather_plan_statistics is showing me that a large portion of the time is being spent on the various correlated self-referencing MAX/MIN subqueries.

Any help appreciated!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Yes, I was also puzzled by the 2 almost identical EVENT_DT subqueries. The second one, with EVENT_STATUS, only takes about 1 min of the execution time (since the EVENT_STATUS filters the records processed by the subquery by an order of magnitude). I haven't had a chance to ask the developers about it yet, but it does make a difference in the output. Though, even if I were to take out the second one, the performance and question of the proper format of the Analytic functions would remain. -
BPEL-Multiple Correlation Sets
I'm receiving an error when using two different correlation sets. I have two separate partnerlinks, and the invokes for each initiate a distinct correlation set. I know that these correlation sets work because when I launch the process with only ONE correlation set used, it works fine.
I set the delivery logging level to ALL and can see where the correlation sets are initiated. It looks like when correlation set A is initiated and received, everything is fine. However, when correlation set B is initiated, on the return there seems to be some confusion--it looks like it's trying to evaluate correlation set A's property. I'm not sure why this mix-up is happening...any thoughts?I have three bpel processes: Portal.bpel , Auth.bpel , Proc.bpel
the full orchestrated sequence of calls is the following:
-Portal invokes first Auth
-Auth receives the call and then reply to Portal
-Portal then calls Proc waiting for a Reply.
-Proc, before replying to Portal, has to invoke Auth.
in this exaple, Auth has two Receive in its process: the first from Portal, the second from Proc.
When Proc calls Auth is not able to distinguish which Receve to point, so Auth.bpel process fails.
I've tryied to map the two different variables received by Auth (one from Portal, the other from Proc) into two different correlation sets, but it doesen't work.
sorry for my bad english.
thank you very much -
Hi,
Is it possible to use correlation sets for correlation multiple messages.I mean more than two messages. If so how to achieve this. For example I should return a response only after say 10 number of messages of the same group have arrived. My understanding is correlation sets should be used to 'rejoin' processes based on a unique id. Once the id has been matched, this is a trigger for the process to continue. I have not seen a use case that allows you to wait for multiple correlations before returning. You could have a while loop, which counts the number of invokes and recieves and completes after 10, but this does not feel right to me as unless you can ensure each call will return in order, it may involve a lot of potential pitfalls.
Sorry if this is not too helpful, but I would revisit the requirement. -
Question about Correlation set
There is a process: a proposer submit a claim, then it needs all the proposer's supervisors to approve, if any of them reject the request, the
claim will return to proposer and process terminates. If all the supervisors approve, the process can continue. I know after the correlation set is added to every receive node in the process, every node can receive only once a message and the process will move on to the next receive node after the last one has received one message,
what I should do if I want one node to receive messages multiple times(actually a loop including the node) util a required condition is true?
Thank you.I am not sure if you are talking in reference to the original question or not.
I will assume not,
yes you can use multiple correlation sets that you define on the same message. And that message can be reused in different operations there is no issue with it.
I also assumed you didn't mean that both the receive activities use the same partner, porttype and operation. Because that is a different thing again.

Notification via eMail and/or worklist
Hi everyone,
We have a requirement that some notifications will need to be send via eMail and worklist and other notification should only be thru worklist only.
e.g.,
Notification FYI - eMail and Worklist
Notification Approval - Worklist only
Is there a document or a way to do the such thing?
Thanks and Regards
elmerHi,
If they are in separate item types, then I would create a new mailer, specifying the name of the item type as the correlation ID. That way the mailer will only send emails for that one item type. You will need to disable the standard mailer, otherwise that will email everything.
The disadvantage of this approach is that you will need to have multiple mailers if you want to email from different item types - there is no way to include multiple correlations in the mailer configuration (e.g. you can't run a mailer for APINV and POAPPRV item types).
A trigger would still do the job - you could automatically set the mail status for the notification to SENT as soon as the notification is created. If you are going this route, I would write a function that is invoked from the trigger to determine whether the notification should be emailed or not. That way, as more item types are used, you can easily modify the code in the function to determine whether to send the notification or not. I would even have a separate table / value set which can be checked, which contains a list of item types and / or processes which should not be emailed and have the code check that - if you add more conditions, then it's just an extra record in that table / set.

Matt

Using the same correlation set to multiple instances of the same process
Hi all,
Assuming that I have a Purchase Order with multiple items and I have a BPEL process that is triggered for each item.
When the Purchase Order is cancelled by the customer, I want to cancel all BPEL process that is still running. I'm using SOA Suite 11.1.1.2.
My first attempt was to use an event handler associated to a cancellation operation, but I couldn't do this because when the second BPEL instance was started, a conflictingReceive BPEL Fault is triggered. This occurs because BPEL can't have more than one active receive/on message using the same correlation set.
Another way to do this is using a different correlation set for each instance (somethig like a composite key - Purchase Order ID + Item ID, i.e), but in this way I need to know all composite key in advance and send one message to each instance specifically.
Anyone have any suggestion of how to cancel more then one instance of the same BPEL process using Event or a generic way that does not need to send one message for each instance?
Events work very well to start more then one BPEL process but does not work well to receive an intermediate message during process execution because in this case we need correlation set to associate the event with the correct instance and BPEL does not support more then one instance of the same BPEL process waiting for the same correlation set.
Any suggestion will be very welcome.
Thanks in advance,
RafaelNever mind. I got it.
I put the iisforward.dll and .ini is a seperate folder, and edited the iisproxy.ini's to include the portnumber like this. And I changed the hostheaders in IIS to Site1, Site2 etc

Site1:80=C:\Sites\Site1\iisproxy.ini
vhost2=Site2:80
Site2:80=C:\Sites\Site2\iisproxy.ini

Correlation for multiple fields in messages inside BPM
Hi All,
We have a requirement to collect multiple IDOCs based on combination of field1,field2,field3 and field4.
Could you please tel me possible ways to implement this solution:
I have tried the below options:
Multiple fields in one correlation
Correlation name is given and then in Correlation editor,we have given all four fields in correlation container and 1 involved message and properties are given for all fields
Using this solution.IDOCSa re not collected even if all the IDOCs coming with same value for (field1field2field3+field4)
for example even if combination of (field1field2field3+field4) is same still its not collecting and sending each IDOC sepearately outside BPM.
Could you please suggest where the problem is?
Please suggest if there is any other way to implement this in BPM.
Thanks in advance
Best Regards,
Harleen Kaur ChadhaHi Harleen Kaur Chadha,
Open your Integration Process (ccBPM), go menu bar u201CViewu201D, select u201CCorrelation Editoru201D. Then you can see the Correlation variables you have declared. Go the third tab u201CPropertiesu201D, and then try to edit u201CValueu201D. Expression Editor window pops up, select u201CInterface Variableu201D, then select XPath. Now edit u201CXPath Expressionu201D. Pay attention to Prefix u201Cp1u201D, it should be present in XPath expression. How to use Correlation set to persist record in BPEL for multiple request
Hi ,
I need to persist record in BPEL as it a stateful.I am using soa suite 11.1.1.5 v.The purpose is to persist multiple messages from single service/partnerLink(JMSAdapter)and aggregated to form a group message using BPEL correlation set concept
There are 5 message in a JMS queue like 1st message ->one,2nd message->two,3rd message->three,4th message->four,5th message->empty
All are text messages.Last message/string is an empty message.
IS it possible in bpel to fetch all the 5 message(using JMS adapter) under one single instance and append all messsage until empty string is not coming?
My final output would be one single message:*onetwothreefour*Can you contact me offline @ [email protected] ?

Correlation for files containing multiple records
I was learning correlation from a nice blog below.
/people/milan.thaker/blog/2008/07/23/correlation-150-runtime-behavior-of-bpm
I have one question though. In the case where the correlation is done on a key field say PsNo.
Now if two files have multiple records, will the correlation compare the PsNo of each record or is the comparison just on the first PsNo of each file record.
Thanks,
Minhaj.Hi Minhaj,
1) Suppose if you want to merge 2 files into a single file based on a keyfield (PsNo), You are opting Correlation in BPM.
In your Correlation Editor, You should mention the XPATH Expression for Keyfield(PsNO) for the involved messages.
2) Only if both the values of keyfied(PsNo) in 2 files are equal then Only you can merge all those 2 files into single file.
So first PsNo of each file record is going to compared with another file. -
Problem in correlating multiple msgs
hi
In my BPM scenario, splittign of msgs is happening.I am able to send files after splitting to the target. For each file an acknowlegment is generated which needs to be correlated to the resp. target msg.
My problem is that when i place multiple files, the bpm does correlation b/w the ack file and the target file only for the last target file.
I have an idea.If we send the files to the target parallely, will correlation work for each of them? For it should i use 'ParForEach' mode?
I tried it but it doesn't work...any idea where the problem lies and how to debug it?
i'm currently using for each mode for sendign the file to the target. After this block i place my receiver step to receive ack.i am using multiline container since i am splitting a file to many target files. So sending multiple target files is not a problem.
The prob is the ack isnt a multiline object. Each ack is separate for each target file.
I saw in SAP BASIS/system patterns where it sends files to diff receivers parallely and get and ack back for each..There ParForEach is used. The scenario is similar to my req. However i cant just use the same thing here.

Wrong association of IDOCs to multiple BPM instances w/ correlation
hi mates,
Background
We have an issue with a BPM that collects DIRDEB.PEXR2002 IDOCs using the correlation on Company Code & some other fields. The BPM is similar to BpmPatternCollectTime. The deadline branch triggers after 10 mins. It has been running successfully until we are hit by the issue below
Issue
There were 3718 IDOCs that have been sent from R/3 in 10 min window which have the same value for correlation. As per the design, all the IDOCs were supposed to be received by a single instance of the BPM. However the IDOCs have been received by 3 instances of BPM (1458, 1502 & 758 IDOCs). I'm surprised to see this behavior and I'm wondering what is wrong/missing in the design/config.
My Observations
I looked at the tech details of the 3 instances and observed that the all 3 instances have same correlation values.
The time windows that 3 instances have been executed did not overlap with each other.
This made me think about how the BPE has assigned these IDOCs to instances. I looked at the SAP help on [Configuring Inbound Processing|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/44/3a6c6d55e402bfe10000000a11466f/content.htm] and made sure the config on SWF_INB_CONF has the Delivery Mode - Buffering Possible & Queue Assignment - One Queue.
I see in the SXMB_MONI that all the IDOCs are put in the queue 'XBQO$PE_WS90000010' which is as per the Queue Assignment - One Queue.
Did any face this kind of issue? Any idea why this is happening?
Let me know if you need any additional info. I greatly appreciate your inputs.
thx in adv
praveenHI Praveen
I have not faced the similar situation but i think Tunning of XI message size may help. As that determine the in/out message size
BPM collected 1458, 1502 & 758 so did u check if the message size is equal for these number. check it may be you get clue on this
Thanks

Correlation and multiple branches with flowN
Hi All,
I would like to ask a question about correlation.I am trying to spawn "n" processes (Process B) from a master process(Process A), and than collect the responses from these instances.I have an array as an input to Process A, and have a flowN activity. In this activity,I simply perform an assign(to assign the varible in the array by an index, to the input variable of invoke), an invoke and a receive activities.
I have added correlation to the invoke as initiate correlation, and I added the same set to the receive activity. When I run the sample, unfortunately I get "Cannot initiate a correlation set more than once." error and the process is cancelled. In fact, the values for each array iteration is different, so I would expect to initiate n correlations for my waiting receive activities.
Am I doing something wrong or isn't that the way it has to be done? No, I have inserted a scope into flowN sequence and defined a scope variable to use. From the audit trail, I can see I have successfully assigned the array variable to the scope variable. For an input of 2 list elements, the first flowN branch is successfully completed but the second branch has a faulted invoke with the message:
"Cannot initiate a correlation set more than once."
If I remove the correlation sets from the invoke and receive and leave the correlation to BPEL Engine, I get the following message:
Conflicting receive.
Another receive activity or equivalent (currently, onMessage branch in a pick activity) has already been enabled with the partnerLink "CalleeProcess", operation name "onResult" and correlation set "" (or conversation id). Appendix A - Standard Faults in the BPEL 1.1 specification specifies a fault should be thrown under these conditions.

Multiple Queue Assignment for Integration Process - PI 7.11
Hi,
I am trying to configure multiple Queues for an Integration Process.
The Integration Process is straight forward, except for a Asynchronous Request Response pattern with correlation. (A asynch send step - immediately followed by a asynchronous receive step with Correlation)
I have done the following
1) In IR set the Queue as Multiple - Content Specific
2) In SWF_INB_CONF transaction reconfigured Multiple Queues - Content Specific without buffering
But when I trigger the message, the message is not at all triggering/entering the Integration Process. The error message is BPE Internal Failure.
But if I reconfigure the IP as One Configurable Queue & "Without Buffering", it is working. But we want multiple queues assigned to this Process.
Thanks in advance.

Sudharshan N ABjoern, there are blogs/wikis available which should be searched before a question is asked on forum. The information you need is quite basic one and I will therefore lock this thread.

Hello,
Calendar/iCloud chrashes on OSX when i try to klick the checkbox for share/use "calendar" in icloud.
What can i do to fix it?
In the same time / parallel, when i open iTunes, a window tells me that: "com.apple.MediaLibraryService was closed unexpected". Is there a correlation?
The whole Problems begann Days ago, when i stupidly "played" at the rights and permissions for another "user". After a TM-Backup the Problems where there. It seems so that a few of my Picturefolders also weren´t recovered...
Kind regards to all of you!

And both of the others wouldn't connect for a few minutes, but are now working again.
More suprising is that trying to log in to webmail (www.icloud.com) is giving a very unhelpful error message, suggesting the server is down. Everything else Internet is working fine for me, and haven't changed any settings, so fairly sure problem is Apple's end.
It's possible that your iPhone is collecting your mail via a different server route that is still working; my three iCloud accounts are collecting via p02.imap.mail.me.com, p09.imap.mail.me.com and p99.imap.mail.me.com, and it's only p02 that's consistantly not working.
