Multiple custom category query fails

We are having a problem issuing multiple-category searches. We have created a purchase order category and an invoice category to assign to purchase order and invoice documents respectively. Both categories have a PurchaseOrderNo field since the documents are related by purchase order number.
We can search for documents where 'PurchaseOrder:PurchaseOrderNo=1234' and retrieve the purchase order; we can also search for documents where 'Invoice:PurchaseOrderNo=1234' and retrieve the appropriate invoices. However, if we search for documents where 'PurchaseOrder:PurchaseOrderNo=1234 OR Invoice:PurchaseOrderNo=1234' we get no results. How do we give our users what they expect to see which is the purchase order and all its associated invoices?

This search bug is specifically related to using a category instance attribute condition under an "OR" branch/tree as part of your search expression. If you are not using a category attribute search condtion in your search expression under an "OR" branch, then you are not running in to this particular bug. As far as this particular bug is concerned ...
Code changes and testing have been completed on the Content DB code line to fix the bug (associated bug # is 5871454).
No external patch is yet available, though we are expecting a new CDB major patchset to be available soon (in the next month) which will contain this fix.
If you have access to an Oracle rep, they may be able to send you a very rough one-off patch/fix for this problem for Content DB 10.2 instances. The internal only one-off patch is referenced in the bug above.
Unfortuntely I have no time frame as to when this fix may be available for Content Services instances. Backporting has not been done to the Content Services code line.

Customer Master - Customer Category

Hi All,
Customer Master having a field called Customer Category, Presently its having 2 records, I would like to add a new record in that. As i checked lookup forms, there is no category, but when i check the below query its showing 2 records like (CUSTOMER,PROSPECT).
SELECT * FROM FND_LOOKUP_VALUES_VL WHERE LOOKUP_TYPE='CUSTOMER_CATEGORY'
If there is anyway to add a new customer category please tell me. It will be more useful to solve this issue.

You can navigate to /Setup/System/Quick Codes/Receivables, query for CUSTOMER_CATEGORY type and create a new customer category.

MOQ based upon Customer category

HI -We wanted to set up MOQ for material based upon customer category. For Ex All end users for Product A can order the product with any qty. Where as All Dealers order only should be in Min Ord qty or Multiples of this?
Any thoughts to accomplish this?

This can be achieved by enhancement (userexit_save_document_prepare in MV45AFZZ).
You need to maintain a Z-table having min qty details for cust cat. You can even maintain material number if you have less number of materials.

We are trying to configure SAP Business Partners in ECC5.0 but it seems the relationship between a business partner and a customer master is one-to-one so a business partenr cannot have multiple customers (table BD001 only allows for a single entry). Does anyone know if it's possible to assign multiple customer masters to one business partner? If so, is there any documentation available?

Change Sales Order category to custom category in CIF

Hi,
I am CIFing Sales Order from ECC to APO, as per my requirement I need to change the category of sales order for which their are no confirmation.
The Sales order get CIFed to APO in standard category BM and i want to change to custom category ZM
I am using a user exit EXIT_SAPLCSLS_002 to read the Sales Order in ECC and changing the Sales Order ATP category to ZM but I am getting an error that it does not match correctly.
but when I use a different standard category BL instead of ZM it works properly.
Has anyone used an user exit to change the Sales Order Category, can you please help?

Hi,
Please try the user exit EXIT_/SAPAPO/SAPLCIF_SLS_001 in APO. This will be called while transferring the Sales orders to APO and the category will be changed. Also maintain the category you are changing in APO.

Hi Niels,
As I'm sure you know, the conundrum is that Reports doesn't know how many total pages there will be in the report until it is all done formatting, which is too late for your needs. So, one classical solution to this problem is to run the report twice, storing the total number of pages in the database using a format trigger, and throwing away the output from the first run when you don't know the total number of pages.
Alternatively, you could define a report layout so that the number of pages in the output is completely predictable based upon, say, the number of rows in the main query. E.g., set a limit of one, two, ... rows per page, and then you'll know how many pages there will be simply because you can count the rows in a separate query.

In the Database Expert, expand the Create New Connection folder and browse the subfolders to locate your data source.
Log on to your data source if necessary.

Problem in deleting the orders under Custom category.

Hi friends,
        I am facing some problem in deleting the Orders which were created under custom category. In fact we are creating Intransits under Standard category "EI" as well as Custom Category "ZP". I am able to modify the intransits created under "EI" but when I tried to change or delete the orders created under Category "ZP", I am getting a messag triggered by BAPI as " Order can not be changed". atleast I need to delete the order if change is not possible. I am using the BAPI "BAPI_SLSRVAPS_CREATEINTRANS" to create intransits under "EI" and i am using the same BAPI with BADI implementation to "SAPAPO_DM_PO_CHANGE" to create intransits under "ZP". Based on the condition I am changing the am changing the category from EI to ZP in the BADI.
       I am able to change or delete the orders created under the EI but when I tried to change or delete the orders under ZP its giving me a message as Order can not be changed.
       One more thing is If I go to Tcode /SAPAPO/RLCDEL trying to delete all the orders based on category. I am able to see all the orders under created under EI. If I tried to delete the orders based on Custom category ZI it is giving me the message as "No Orders exists in Live cache". But I am able to see the orders in tcode "SAPAPO/RRP3".
       Can any one help me out in making this done. Please help me out in this.

           I really appreciate your gr8 help. Hope you can understand my problem that I am not a SCM person. Still you are responding to my questions with great patience.
           Here what I found is I found the record in OM19 transaction in the object "/SAPAPO/OM_ORDER_EXT_STR". But the interesting is its giving me the GUID as blank . there is empty value in that field. where as the program "/SAPAPO/OM_DELETE_INCON_ORDERS" is asking for the "order GUID".
         can you help me out in finding the order guid and deleting this order.

As of now we copied the stanadard program and sending the customer statements by email, one by one.
if i execute the z program it will show the customer statement and send mail option.
if i click send mail it will send that customer statement to the corresponding customer.
then again i need to click back, it will show next customer statement and click on send mail.
Pl guide me, if any one worked on this program.

You first need to copy that program to Z and make the changes in it. Can you convert sapscript to smartform?
then you can write a logic to send mail in the loop.

I have 2 users (out of 800), who run into this issue on occasion. Their username is 'fccs\user1' in the profile db, and in every UserInfo table in the system. But when they try to go to certain sites or open an infopath form, this error gets thrown:

Notice how the username is now the entire email address and not just the username. I have no idea why it thinks that that is their username. Any ideas?

You can check whether the UDC connection was still pointing to root site.
You can change this file to match with the sub site collection. Otherwise there may be a cross domain access issue.

The issue with using the multiple columns sub-query in WHERE clause

my database version is 10.2.
the problem i am trying to deal with is that when I use multiple column sub-query in the WHERE clause of the SELECT statement, the actual row number returned from the sub-query is different from the whole statement.
And what I found is that, whenever there is NULL in any of those columns returned from the SUB-QUERY, the outer query will just return NULL for that whole row.
Here is an example:
select empno, ename, job, mgr, hiredate, sal, deptno from EMP
intersect
select empno, ename, job, mgr, hiredate, sal, deptno from t;
7782     CLARK     MANAGER     7839     09-JUN-81     2450     10
7839     KING     PRESIDENT NULL 17-NOV-81     5000     10
7934     MILLER     CLERK     7782     23-JAN-82     1300     10
select * from EMP where (EMPNO, ENAME, job, MGR, HIREDATE, SAL, DEPTNO) in (
select empno, ename, job, mgr, hiredate, sal, deptno from EMP

As you discovered, INTERSECT treats NULL as a value, but IN does not.
What you did with NVL is one way to handle the situation. If there was a chance that any of the columns could be NULL, then you might prefer something like this:
select      *
from      EMP
where      ( EMPNO      || '~' ||
       ENAME      || '~' ||
       job           || '~' ||
       MGR           || '~' ||
       TO_CHAR (HIREDATE, 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS')
                || '~' ||
       SAL           || '~' ||
       DEPTNO
     ) in (
          select EMPNO      || '~' ||
                 ENAME      || '~' ||
               job     || '~' ||
               MGR     || '~' ||
               TO_CHAR (HIREDATE, 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS')
                    || '~' ||
               SAL      || '~' ||
               DEPTNO
          from     emp
         intersect
          select EMPNO      || '~' ||
                 ENAME      || '~' ||
               job     || '~' ||
               MGR     || '~' ||
               TO_CHAR (HIREDATE, 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS')
                    || '~' ||
               SAL      || '~' ||
               DEPTNO
          from      t
         );This assumes that you can identify some string (I used '~') that never occurs in the strings in these tables.
This is implicitly converting the NUMBERs. That's usually not a good thing to do. but explicitly converting them would make this even more tedious.
You should explicitly convert any DATEs to strings, however. Depending on your default format, and your data, you might get away with implicit conversions even for DATEs, but don't bet on it.
If you had to do this often, you might consider writing a user-defined function:
delimited_string (empno, ename, job, mgr, hiredate, sal, deptno) would return a string like
'7839~KING~PRESIDENT~~17-NOV-1981~5000~10'
This will make the coding easier, but beware: it will make the execution slower.

Customer sales report by customer category

Hi to all,
as we have maintained a price lists customer wise and the attached the customer according to its category.so when i apply a price change to a specific category it ill automatically applicable to all the customer under this category.
now my question is that can i have a sales report as per the customer category instead of puttting individual customer codes to execute the report?

but if i am not wrong this is a pricing report not the sales report,i need sales report.
