Multiple Customization & Setup Issues

I am an old school Eudora Pro (6.x) user and I VERY much like the extremely clean and uncluttered UI that is uses. Unfortunately because of situations not under my control I can no longer see it and must use Thunderbird. Please help me do the following tp get it as close to the very clean and simple look and feel of Eudora.
1) I need to be able to set up a primary email account [email protected] and enable it as a (using the Eudora term here) the relay account. This is required as I am the webmaster of several websites and have a [email protected] address for each. As is common these days, ISP will only let you send mail through their outgoing servers ergo I need to use that primary account at my ISP as the relay account.
2) How do I get rid of chat, newgroups, and feeds? I want an email client, I don't need any of that outdated junk.
3) How do I set up all of my accounts to use a common IN, OUT, and JUNK set of mailboxes when I fetch mail. I have about 8-10 email accounts I need to maintain and I do not want to be clicking all over the place to read my mail. IN BOX is IN BOX.
4) How do I set things up so that common INBOX is what os displayed in the right hand pane rather than whatever that obscure page is that is shown by default?
5) In testing I set up one account completely wrong and I want to delete it but I see no way what so ever to delete an account. I have right clicked, left clicked, and hit delete on every possible object I see but nothing comes up about deleting an account. I only see edit or create accounts. How do I delete an account?
Once I get these addressed I'll post the 2nd batch of questions i have. Thanks for the help!

So if you selected the mail account name Inbox and were viewing those emails and then exited Thunderbird. Next time you start up, it should open on the same folder.
Thunderbird does have a start page which is usually displayed in the Message Pane, but as soon as you select an email in the list it disappears. However, you can switch this off if you like.

  • Multiple App syncing issues...

    Hello, all.
    I am having multiple application synching issues. I have a half dozen devices and have never had any of these issues before about a week ago. May have had an iTunes update? Here are the issues.
    1.     Some Apps re-installing even though no update was available.
    2.     Some apps not completely installing and showing with an empty progress bar through the icon.
    3.     Apps that are not supposed to sync to a particular device are.
    4.     Apps re-installing outside of their designated folders.
    Anyone having any of these issues? It is pretty frustrating since I never know what I am going to end up with after a sync.

    Sure.
    Only select the apps that you want to sync.
    It will only sync what you tell it to sync to each device.

    The classifications link is not appearing in your Project's Setup page because, Classifications must have been unchecked in the Project template from which your project has been created. You can find the Project template information by clicking on the Additional Information link in the same Project -setup page. Once you check the classification flag in the concerned Project Template, all future Project creations made out of this template would have the link enabled.
    But for the current project, classification link cannot be enabled.

  • Odd speed dial setup issue

    I am getting an odd speed dial setup issue.  Here are the steps:
    1. Open speed dial setup screen
    2. Tap an open slot
    3. Search for a contact using the keyboard
    4. Click on the contact to select it
    If I do it that way, I am taken back to the speed dial setup screen, but the contact is NOT added to the slot.
    On the other hand, if in step #3, I just scroll down the list of contacts and select a contact, it works just fine.  Seems to be an issue with the search function.  Anyone else have this problem?

    As far as the flashing question mark and globe icons are concerned, your computer had lost track of its startup volume and was searching through the possibilities. The globe icon indicates that it is looking for a network to start from and the question mark indicates that it is looking for an OS X volume. To fix this, if you haven't already, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and reselect your internal HD as the startup volume.
    From what you have described, this issue does seem to have corrected itself, and the faster start up is what one would normally expect. I think that you have absolutely no reason to reinstall your system.

  • Multiple Monitor Setup for HPE-180t w/ NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 (only one DVI port)

    I am wanting to connect mutliple montitors via DVI connection to my HPE-180t.  My graphics card is the NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 which has 3 ports (VGA, HDMI, DVI) and does support mutli monitor display.  What is the best way for me to connect multiple monitors to my desktop?  I would like for all of them to be connected via DVI.

    What is the end goal you are attempting to acheive?  Are you looking to clone all three monitors or each monitor to be independent of the other (extended display)?
    This document covers how to configure the monitors in Windows 7.  I didn't see the GT 220 listed in the specifications, so I take it this is one purchased separately for the unit.  Most video cards require multiple monitors to be connected to a different port (to truly achieve a multiple monitor setup).  Since the card only has one DVI port, then the other ports (HDMI and VGA will need DVI adapters).  An example of an HDMI - DVI adapter can be found here. 
    The tricky part will be using the VGA - DVI adapter as DVI ports are typically DVI-D which makes it a pure digital signal.  VGA is analog, so the adapter will need to be special if the monitor is using a DVI-D port.  If it is a DVI-A or DVI-I port, then a standard VGA - DVI adapter will work.  If it is a DVI-D port, you will need an active VGA - DVI adapter.  If it is DVI-A/I, then a passive adapter will work.  This is an example of an Active VGA - DVI adapter.  For that adapter, a VGA cable will need to be connected to the VGA port with that end connected to the VGA side of the adapter and then being connected to the DVI port of the monitor. 
    Provided the video card supports 3 monitors, this would allow all monitors to have a DVI connection.  Keep in mind that the VGA port will still deliver an analog signal as opposed to the DVI and HDMI ports.  The card specifications do not really say how many monitors it supports, but it most likely does support three monitors.

  • AWE Transaction Configuration Event Notification Setup issue

    On Final Denial Event has Notifications Option set to "Requester" "Both".
    The Email URL is redirecting to the correct Approval Component mentioned under Approval Component in On Final Denial Event
    But the Worklist URL is redirecting to another Component unlike the email URL, it is sending to a different component.
    Why the same notifications via the same Event (On Final Denial) have two different URL's??

    The worklist/notification component is defined on several places, where the "lowest" definition applies for the action being triggered.
    1 AWE Transaction Configuration> Transaction Registry > Default Approval Component
    2 AWE Transaction Configuration > Event
    3 AWE Transaction Configuration > Event > Notification > Template Detail tab
    Be aware that the Notification section in the Transaction Configuration shows 1 row in the grid, where more than 1 row can be defined. Click on the View all to expand the grid and see all notification defined for this event.
    See if above configurations differ in menu, component, page ...

  • ICloud OS X email setup issue

    Hi need some help with an iCloud email setup issue that doesn’t seem to have been covered by other posts or the Apple help factsheets.
    Used my old mac.com Apple ID to set up an iCloud account which now shows as having my iMac as a linked device. To use iCloud Mail was prompted to create a new email address which I could do by turning on Mail in iCloud settings.
    I signed into iCloud via my iMac and having deselected default options to use iCloud for Contacts etc arrived at the account page which has the various options on the RHS and my mac.com ID info on the left.
    Ticked the Mail option on the RHS was asked to “choose an iCloud email address” underneath the box where you enter the chosen email address was a note saying “you cannot change your email address after creating it”. When I tried to  set up the new iCloud email address got a prompt saying “you cannot change your email address after creating it”.
    Help!

    You need to know Comcast's settings for incoming and outgoing server when setting up your OSX Mail app. The info should be somewhere on Comcast's help web page.

  • Multiple certificates on Issuing CA server

    Hi,
    Due to errors multiple certificates were issued from Root CA server for SubCA. Although old certificate was revoked from Root, but I see 2 certificates on Issuing CA. Also, because of 2 certificates, 2 CRLs are getting published everytime for each. Although
    when I see web server certificate issued for IIS, it was signed by new certificate of Issuing CA. Also, in PKIview, I see CDP path for this CA with new CRL.
    But my questions is that how shall I remove old one from Issuing CA as I am not gettign that option. Also, in AD i see 2 certficaates published for that CA. Will that cause any issue.

    This is actually a normal state in PKI. When you renew a sub CA with a new key pair, ot will result in multiple CRL files.
    - there is no need to remove the previous subca cert
    - there is no need to revoke the previous subca cert (unless there are config or security issues)
    - make sure the AIA paths use %4 in the paths to keep separate versions
    - make sure that the CDP paths use %9 in the paths to keep separate versions
    - make sure you publish *all* versions of .crts and .crls to *all* publication points
    You need to leave all versions of the CA certs in play so that both current and previously issued certs can be validated

    Scratch the post above - the musics that plays in the playlist also plays in the library and that is because i forgot that i imported from the cd yesterday. Basically, I see the rest of my music, but it doesnt' play and tells me it can't locate the file though the location in 'perferences' points to the correct location. Getting iTunes to play after a new computer or rebuild is a headache.

    Hello,
    I believe the reason for your problem is that the apps were originally bought by your husband(The app is registered with his account). He therefore needs to update them for you. Then if you sync your ipod you can get the most updated app. If it is a free app you could just download it using your own itunes account so you could update the app yourself.

  • Multiple iPod Touch issues

    I received my iPod Touch last Thursday and then spent most of Friday just trying to get the blasted thing to accept my wireless password. Note: I have multiple wireless devices, (one router) all of which use the same password with no problems. Finally, it accepted the password, allowed me to set up my ID and account, only to almost immedialy lose the wireless connection. Over the weekend, the iPod couldn't even find the wireless network. Finally, this morning I lugged myself to the Apple store (40 minute drive), waited for 45 minutes and finally got someone who knew what he was doing. Surprise - the iPod couldn't find the store's wireless network! After messing around a bit the "genius" (not a slam, this is what they call the techs) accepted that the problem was with in the iPod, not the user. He then replaced the iPod. Flash forward a few hours: I'm at a Panara Bread and decide to see if the iPod will work - nope, nada, nothing. It could not find the network! Came home and tried again - nope, nada, nothing! I keep getting the same error message: cannot connect/wrong password. I use the same password for multiple devices, none of which have this problem. My wireless router (Linksys) has only this one password programmed. My laptop (Windows), printer, phone all recognize and accept this password. The iPod will not. What do I do? I'm getting ready to scream because this is taking way, way, way too much time. I've never had this much trouble with a device before and really have no clue as to how to resolve this issue once and for all. Any help, any one can offer will be extremely appreciated. Thank-you.

    I am so incredibly disappointed in Apple!! I have owned my Touch for less than a week and have already been given two replacement units - neither of which have worked. I have visited three Apple stores, worked with 4 different techs and had two long telephone contacts with tech support. Yet, I still am unable to get a Touch that actually works!
    I did manage to get the third iPod to recognize the network, but the way I did it makes no sense to me - perhaps it will to someone with more knowledge. This is what I did after the store appointments and after the long phone tech support incident: Using the USB cord, I connected the iPod to my PC, accessed the Apple site, registered with my user name/password, went to the i-Tunes store, attempted to set up an account (more on this in a moment) and when the store recognized the iPod and accepted the registration, I unplugged the iPod from the PC and suddenly it found the network. Incidentally, I did this myself, with no input from the experts, it was simply an idea and it seems to have worked, at least somewhat. Now, as to why I say "somewhat": while the iPod can find my home wireless network, it cannot find any other network, including the Apple store network. No matter where else I take the iPod, it reads "network not found" or "no network access". On the iTunes setup: I managed to get all the way through the account setup before the iPod lost the wireless network, but at the last screen, the system kicked me out saying I was using an invalid password. BTW: this is the exact same password the same system had accepted less than five minutes before this error message appeared.
    The final blow to all this incredible hassle happened just a bit ago: I tried accessing tech support, using the same serial # I've been using (the latest serial # from the latest iPod they have given me) and received a message saying that I must now pay for support!! Okay - so let me get this straight: I buy an iPod. It doesn't work. I take the iPod to the Apple store, where they confirm that it won't work. I am given a second iPod - which fails within hours. I return to the Apple store, am given a 3rd iPod - that also fails within a few hours. Now, I've used up my free support?!! Interesting.

  • Multiple Internet Connection Issues

    Hi there, long time reader first time poster.
    I figured I should post this as, while having read through hundreds of similar posts I still can't figure out how to solve my connectivity issues.
    I just bought a new iMac 21.5 inch 3.2Ghz i3 model and while I am happy with the machine overall, it is the second one in a month - the first had a faulty ethernet port and refused to connect to the internet out of the box. Apple replaced it without question - almost as if they knew.
    The replacement has now seemingly developed the same issue.
    Some background info. The computer was connected both through ethernet and through the TC I bought to back it up until yesterday. So I was getting both a wireless signal from the TC and one through ethernet.
    I have a hub that has 5 devices connected to it ( Printer, Cable TV, iMac and TC - now a PS3 ) That hub is served a signal by a simple NTT modem connected to a phone line. That modem is now nearly 5 years old but has always given great net speeds so I don't believe the problem to be the modem - I could be wrong though.
    I just bought a PS3 and tried connecting it yesterday but had multiple problems. Despite me entering the correct PPPoE information to the letter, the PS3 refused to connect, saying the password and username was incorrect. I could connect it via a Bluetooth signal but no hard wired connection would work.
    So I unplugged everything from the hub, shut down all the machines, turned off the modem and let it sit for 10 minutes and then plugged the ethernet cable from the PS3 straight into the modem, giving it a direct line. Switched on modem, rebooted PS3 and tried again - this time it connected through ethernet. I still don't know how or why. I can guess but I'm sure you guys know much more about this than I do.
    So then I tried connecting the iMac back to the net, reconnected all the hub, followed the same procedure. Off, sit for a bit, on etc. This time the PS3 has no connection and now the iMac has no connection either!
    The TC gave a green light though so I was able to get wireless. I tried removing all net locations from the iMac, installing new ones, renewed the DHCP lease, but no matter what I did (PPPoE info 100% correct) it just refused to establish a connection.
    The the bloody TC light flashed amber and I couldn't get wireless either despite being plugged into the hub and getting a signal! The PS3 is now working and the cable is fine so I am starting to think either I have cluster ****** the whole setup or something is wrong with the iMac.
    I go away for an hour then come back and the stupid TC has somehow picked up a connection! The light is green again?! But now the time connected display is scrolling repeatedly. I've got net but what the **** is wrong with all this?
    Bottom line - not ethernet connection for the iMac but TC seems to be working and all other devices have a connection.
    Please help me if you can! I just can't figure any of this out.

    Your description is a bit confusing, but I use English as a second language, so it may be just me.
    1. How is the hub connecting to your modem, by ethernet cable or wirelessly?
    2. Which device is negotiating the internet connection with your ISP, the modem?
    3. Does the device that negotiates the connection use PPPoE?
    4. How are the other devices being handed their internet connection? DHCP only?
    Only one device should be connecting directly to your ISP using the PPPoE protocol and configured with your account username and password. This device is preferably the modem. This device should be configured to hand out internal IP addresses to the other devices on your LAN using DHCP. All of the other devices should be configured to request an IP from that device, whether by ethernet or wi-fi, just with DHCP.

  • Problem in customizations after Issue Output of a Billing Document (VF02)

    Dear Friends,
    I am facing some problem while I do repeat output of a Billing Transaction. (VF02->GoTo->Header->Output). There are some customizations done in our system that whenever an Output is processed in our system, an xml file should be created and placed on application server (Which would then be printed in some Legacy system).
    The custmizations for this has been done SPRO -> Sales and Distribution -> Billing Documents -> Invoice Lists ->Maintain Output for Invoice Lists -> Output Type.
    Now my problem is that XML file creation program works in the Dialog mode and I am able to create the XML file and make an entry of this file in a Z table as per my program logic.
    But when the processing is automatically through some files coming from application server, some of the files are missed. I want to figure out under which conditions my program to create XML file fails.
    I tried debugging this program by puttinga hard coded break-point as well but the control does not stops there.
    Could any one please help me how can we debug the program in such scenario.

    There was some issue in the RFC setup of our system because of which when fies were processed in bulk, some of them were missed out. It was like connection issue. Hence I did not put the soln here as I could not get the answer of this problem by doing some thing in ABAP.
