Multiple daily run outputs

I've configured /etc/defaults/periodic.conf to email the results of the daily, weekly, and monthly stuff to me.
Problem is, sometimes I get 2 daily run outputs.
1 always at 3:14 (which is too early) and the other at the regularly scheduled time of 3:15.
The periodic.conf file is unchanged except for my user name in the "*_output" fields.
Any ideas as to why this is happening?

WHEW!!! OK, you asked for it...

  • Multiple inputs and outputs using DAQmx VIs

    Hello,
    I am fairly new with the LabView programming language.  I have a few training books that I have been reading, and I have been following online tutorials and reading the forums.  However, I have come to a problem where I don’t see a clear solution.  I am using LabView 2009 (9.0f3) and DAQmx VIs.
    I am using a NI 9172 chassis PLC, with two 9201 AI cards, 9217 AI RTD card, 9472 DO card, 9263 AO card, and two 9237 AI Bridge cards.
    I am reading eight analog inputs with the 9201 cards, two analog RTD inputs with the 9217 card, three digital outputs with the 9472 card, three analog outputs with the 9263, and eight analog inputs with the 9237 cards.
    I wrote a simple program to test one digital output task, two of the analog output tasks, and a single analog input task.  I put all of them in the same while loop, and it worked perfectly.  However, when I add analog input tasks to the same loop, I get an error 200022.    So I tested each sensor individually by changing the channel before each run.  I searched error 200022 and found that this is because I cannot start another analog input task until the previous one ends.  With this said, I don’t know how to acquire an analog voltage in the same task as an analog RTD voltage.  Both inputs take different constants in the start task DAQmx icon.
    Attached is my test program.  It is titled “Test All”. This is the program I used to test the various sensors.  I tested the input sensors one at a time, and it worked fine.  A few tasks are written just to test functionality, and will be added to later.  The data is only displayed on the screen.  I will add triggers and data write to disk functions later.  This program works now, but if I add more analog inputs, it will generate the 200022 error.
    Can someone show me how to correctly write the code for multiple inputs and outputs using DAQmx?  All training materials and tutorials I can find all show a single input or single output, not multiples of each.  Thanks for looking.

    Hi RandyC,
    The Knowledge Base article Using Different Types of DAQmx Global Channels in the Same Task goes into a little more depth of what Bryan is talking about, and it also includes some example code to help show what to do.
    Hope that helps,

  • Launchd .plist breaks when periodic daily runs

    Why does my launchd .plist break when periodic daily runs?
    I wrote a script basically like this
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
    <key>GroupName</key>
    <string>wheel</string>
    <key>Label</key>
    <string>MacPeter.thingy</string>
    <key>Program</key>
    <string>/usr/local/sbin/my_script</string>
    <key>ProgramArguments</key>
    <array>
    <string>/usr/local/sbin/my_script</string>
    </array>
    <key>StandardErrorPath</key>
    <string>/dev/null</string>
    <key>StandardOutPath</key>
    <string>/var/log/myotherlog.log</string>
    <key>UserName</key>
    <string>root</string>
    <key>WatchPaths</key>
    <array>
    <string>/var/log/my_log.log</string>
    </array>
    </dict>
    </plist>
    I had to do some of this at the command line with sudo to get this .plist file into /Library/LaunchAgents and launch it. The idea is that watches the log file
    my_log.log (which I have created) and when there is activity on this log file it runs my_script, outputting the results to myotherlog.log.
    In order to avoid my_log simply growing unmanageably I also modified the /etc/daily file to add my_log to the list of logs which are rotated daily at 3:15 a.m. At 3.15, periodic daily runs, it moves and gzips my_log.log to my_log.log.0.gz and it creates a fresh my_log.log using touch.
    At this point my .plist remains loaded but stops working: it nolonger watches the new my_log.log.
    As a workaround I have put the following lines in /etc/daily.local:
    launchctl unload /Library/LaunchAgents/MacPeter.thingy.plist
    launchctl load /Library/LaunchAgents/MacPeter.thingy.plist
    This solves the problem. My question:
    Is my workaround really necessary or am I missing some other point about
    using launchd and .plist files?
    G5 single processor   Mac OS X (10.4)

    Just as a quick guess, I would say that nothing actually breaks, you just need to keep in mind that if you roll the log you need to also reopen the file handle that points to the log file. If you don't reopen the file it will continue to look at the old, possible unlinked file pointer until the process is restarted.
    Not having much to do with launchd I would assume that this is what is happening. You need to get it to reopen the log file after is it rolled.

  • Multiple daily updates are a nuisance: thinking of using Google Chrome, now.

    I am receiving multiple daily updates for Firefox Browser. This is becoming a nuisance. Can there be one daily update? Frankly, I am considering using Google Chrome now.

    Hi PAPPASAN44,
    It looks like you are running 9.0.1 which is the latest version of Firefox. It came out a few days ago and there have been no updates since then. What makes you think that it is updating daily?
    If you are seeing a message on [http://www.google.com/firefox/ this page] that you are out of date, you should take a look at [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/905310 the response from cor-el in this thread]. The page is just incorrect.
    If you see the "Welcome to Firefox" or "Just updated Firefox" page every time you log in, you should look at [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Firefox+has+just+updated+tab+shows+each+time+you+start+Firefox this article about that specific issue] and the article [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Preferences_not_saved Preferences not saved]. These should give you all the information you need!
    If that doesn't work:
    # Type about:config in the address bar
    # Click ''I'll be careful, I promise'' if prompted
    # In the Filter input field type ''startup''
    # Double click on startup.homepage_override_url
    # Delete the text string and click ''OK''
    # Close Firefox and reopen the window to verify that it has worked.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • RE: How to have multiple application running under one server

              I have one server
              I have many application
              Question: Is it possible for me to have a weblogic properties file under each
              of this application.

    If your question is whether you can run multiple instances of WebLogic
              (or multiple applications) on one server, the answer is yes. The only
              problem is, you must have a unique port for each of the servers to run
              on. I.e., they can not all run under port 80 which has obvious
              internet/network implications.
              This also means you have multiple weblogic.properties files etc. for
              each instance.
              We do this with WL5.1 on a Linux 2.4 kernel in developement to allow
              multiple developers run their own instance on one box.

  • Multiple APP run's for  same vendor

    Dear Friends,
    I would like to know whether it is possible to do multiple payment proposals for a vendor on same dates.
    here is the scenario:
    Each business area would like to creat and edit payment proposals for the same dates, for ex: Run date is 1.1.08, next payment date will be 02.01.08 and schedule the actul payment run on say 03.01.08.
    The actual payment runs will be processed by different paying coc.ode on 03.1.08
    so for a given vendor say we have 2 open items which are due for each business area. I tried giving Business area in free selections .
    when I try to create a secong payment proposal system gives me the message saying no payment proposal found for the co.code Message nO.FZ349
    Yes it does makes sense to this meesage in the sense system wants to check that no invoice is paid twice by mistake.
    But my question is since I am restricting open items by Busines area in the selection parameters itself shouldnt that be considered by system.
    Hope I am clear.
    Please let me know your inputs on the same.
    Points assured for useful replies.
    Thanks,
    Vamsi

    Hi Chandra,
    Thanks for your inputs.
    When you say that same vendor can be paid more than 1 once in a given day by APP, I belive you meant that once paymnet run has been done we can create another APP process for the same vendor.
    Yes I dont see any issues there.
    I also have no doubt that we can create multiple payment runs for a given vendor for 2 different co.codes on the same day.
    But the issue I have is a case of centralised payment for all regions  which are represented by Business areas.
    Each region will do business with the same pan india vendor and would like to create thier payment proposals. The payment runs for these proposals will be done by the head office.
    while trying to the second payment proposal, thi sis the message:
    "Vendor 54 222 is contained in proposal 24.01.2008 SB1; no editing"
    Hope I am clear.
    Thanks,
    Vamsi

  • Multiple scripts running at the same time?

    Is there a way to have multiple scripts successfully running at the same time?
    At the moment if I start a second script while the first one is still running, the second one completes successfully but the first one stops. This seems to be because the first one is no longer the active document once the second one opens so can't continue.
    Is there another way to script things like this so that multiple can run independently at the same time? You might ask why I'd want to run two at the same time and not just wait, but i've setup an asp.net web form front end and having problems if two people click the button around the same time.
    I'm guessing this isn't going to be possible and i'm going to have to look for ways of doing this in asp.net instead and somehow queue the requests so you have to wait longer if the script is already running?
    Thanks,
    Andy

    This is correct. The scripting interface to PS is single-threaded so you will need to queue up requests.

  • How do I create an xControl with multiple inputs and outputs?

    Hello,
    i am trying to write a new Xcontrol Element. In the data model I can create data types using the cluster to create compound types, eg an int and an int array. But how do I create an xcontrol which has multiple data inputs and outputs?
    Kind Regards

    Limping_Twerp wrote:
    Alright: I see: An xcontrol is either an input OR an output. How do I achieve an output? Secondly: So you are saying the only Elements that can have multiple inputs and outputs are VIs?
    Can you take a few steps back and explain what you are actually trying to do. SubVIs and Xcontrols have nothing in common and it is not clear why you even try to compare them side by side (e.g. in terms of the number of connectors).
    Your questions about input or output tell us that you seems to have some misconceptions about xcontrols. Xcontrols are like regular controls, except they have some built-in intelligence that you can program. Most front panel object can be either controls or indicators and the same is true for Xcontrol. You create an Xcontrol, and after placing it on the front panel you can decide if it should be a control (where the code reads the value) or an indicator (were the code writes values to it). When you define the xcontrol facade, you also need to program how the visuals change if it is changed from control to indicator or vice versa.
    As a first step, you should opend the example finder and look at some xcontrol examples.
    Again, what are you actually trying to do?

    Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Multiple Adobe Forms Output in single Adobe Form

    Hi Experts,
    When we login to portal a list of applications will be available in a table, each record contains details of the application. when we click on first field of any record in that table it will display one adobe form. Under the table i have a button print, suppose if i select some 5 records in the table and when i click that print button then all the 5 adobe forms output should display as a single adobe form with page breaks. I mean after completion of first adobe form output, the next adobe form output should start in a fresh page. i could able to display single adobe form but the problem is with multiple adobe forms output in single form. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi,
    The only way to solved your issue is to change your forms and give it all necessary information in several table . Like this you can manage break page depending of content.
    For example, you form interface contains one header structure and a table of item . If you want to have several form into one result , change the interface by passing an internal table of header information . Then in the layout you have to use the different table to get the result you want .
    Unfortunately there is no solution actually with AdObe Forms in SAP to merge several PDF into one .
    Hope this help you.

    Hi The EDmeister,
    Thank you for your response.
    Nevertheless, I have to repeat that I have ALREADY INSTALLED the Firefox 35.0.1 in my computer and ALLOWED IT TO PROCEED.

    Can I sync onto multiple PCs running iTunes ? or is this a one-one relationship ?
    My situation - use home computer for music etc., boat computer for weather file downloads,officecomputer for email / pictures ...
    Thank you

    There is an App called Weathertrack, which pulls from the web GRIB files (weather information), that I would like to download onto the laptop we have on the boat, that runs some routing software (SeaTrack), that in turn integrates weather, tide, GPS etc to help with vessel navigation.
    I can obviously do this from my home computer (this is the one that has the 1-1 sync relationship), but I don't want to empty the IPhone content whilst on the boat ...
    If you can think of a way of making this happen, I would be very appreciative. Both PCs are windows based, home is Vista, boat is XP.
