Multiple selection tabs (as in windows)

Hallo and good morning everybody (even if its not morning to you all)
I want to create an area on the front panel where two different graphs can be presented (by user selection) how can it be done?
And is it possible to edit them as two tabs which the user can chose from?

Multiple selection tab on Custom F4 of select option in report

Hi folks ,
how to get MULTIPLE SELECTION tab on extension of my selec option of report screen.
If i pass Multiple_choice = 'X' in fm 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST' check boxes are appearing of each my f4 values when i press f4, i dnt want like this i want it my extension as Multiple selection as how it appears for standard 4 helps.

Hi Clemen,
Any selectin screens element(select-option) if we click on extension we will get a pop up window with SINGLE VALUES,SELECT RANGES,EXCLUDE SINGLE VALUES, EXCLUDE RANGES bottome of this window we are having some icons along with it we have MULTIPLE SELECTION Tab.if we click on multiple selection tab we will be getting our all values with checkboxes each front of it so that we can select multiple vlaues at a time for the particular f4 .
i want this multiple selection tab for my custome F4, iam not getting this MULTIPLE SELECTION tab.
for example you can check for select-option of account group(T077D-KTOKD).
in F4 function module if iam using paramter MULTIPLE_CHOICE = 'X', iam not getting the extension pop window with singlevalues, select ranges etc ., instead of it iam getting all my f4 fields with the checkboxes infront of each of it.
please throw some light it is very urgent.
please tell me iam using following parameters in function module please let me know if i need to use any other to get it..

Quicktime plays multiple selected files in separate windows

How can I get Quicktime to place a group of selected video files in que for viewing in one player window (with the option to move back and forth between the different videos) like WMP

Use QuickTime Player 7. There's a setting to open movies in new players which you can disable. It's an optional install on your Snow Leopard disc, but requires a Pro license (if you have one, it should have been automatically installed).

No multiple tabs preview in Windows 7 (worked fine in 4.0b8)

Under Windows 7, it was possible in Ffx 4.0b8 to see a preview of all tabs in the windows taskbar and select a tabs from the preview to show it.
It was usefull, for example, only to check if the iGoogle page updates and there is new mail or this kind of things.
The taskbar icons looked like several pages when several tabs where opened.
Now, in 4.0b9, all this disappears, I can only see the preview of the actual active tabs and not the others tabs. I can't select an another tabs from the windows taskbar. The icon in the taskbar doesn't look like several page when several tabs are opened

I was able to get multiple tabs preview back in the windows taskbar by going into options/options and click show tab previews in windows taskbar. So it works again, however, the preview image quality is not nice to look at, they are very coarse, in IE it is like they are smoothed out. And the resolution is better, you can actually read large text in the IE tabs, not in the Firefox. This also used to be the case in previous versions of Firefox. When the multiple previews disappeared in Firefox some weeks ago, the same thing happened in my Chrome browser. Could this be part of a Win7 update to spoil things for non-IE browsers? Any clues and/or solutions?

RE: Getting multiple values from more than one multiple select popup window

I have a button on a JSP of mine that when clicked creates a popup window (right now it is called popup.html) with a multiple select menu.
My question is how do I get all the values selected from the menu into my JSP (sample.jsp) so that I can set each of the values for my bean.
The other problem is that I have more than one select multiple menu.
Please help if you can. Any advice or suggestions here would be greatly appreciated!

I realize that I can use request.getParameterValues to get the values selected from my html because I am passing them to the hidden inputs I have and then using the request.getParameterValues to get each of the values.
MY PROBLEM IS WHAT IF I HAVE 4 MULTIPLE SELECTS??? How can I use the same html popup menu to get the values from the 4 different multiple selects????

View Multiple PDFs in tabs in ONE window in ADOBE 9

OK...so after hours of uninstalling and reinstalling adobe 9 to get past adobe's multiple error messages and running CHCKDSK and Windows registry cure I finally get Adobe reader 9 to work, only to find out that
I can not view multiple pdf's in one window in tiled tabs. Basically I need to have several pdf's open in one window in adobe. I'm a student and writer and deal with multiple e-books at once for dissemination and I do not want them open in multiple windows, just one window with multiple tabs.
In adobe 8 this option was in preferences. It does not exist in adobe 9. I can not have all these pdfs open in different windows, I want multiple pdfs to open in one window.
This has been a very frustrating evening dealing with adobe 9. I wish I would have never installed it in the first place. I probably won't be buying 9 pro, its pretty crazy that there are all these frustrations. This whole thing with the Error 2330.Error getting file attributes C:\Program Files\AdobeReader 9.0 GetLastError:1392 which I finally fixed myself and then to find that there is not any way to view multiple pdf's in one adobe 9 window--at least according to what can be found here on adobe, I'm just in tears. I'm not a technical person and I have things due on monday. This is very frustrating.

The change is due to Adobe's following Microsoft's user interface
guidelines. I would recommend getting MS to change its tune.

Hide RANGE option in Multiple Selection Popup window

This is regarding Parameter option.
In parameter variable,i declared NO INTERVALS option
to get only multiple values.
In multiple selection popup window.i want to select only multiple values not RANGE values. so i want to either disable or hide the f7 option.how to do this.
(we have ranges option at Popup window
when u click f7 or complex selection icon at bottom popup window.)
do we have any option to hide this.

How to add a new tab in Multiple Selections of Select Options

I have a requirement where under the standard select options there is a button "Multiple Selections", when it is clicked there should be a new tab in which there will be a list of options generated based on some condition with checkboxs for the user to select.

You just need to follow as what Max mentioned. Neverthless I shall provide you solution for the case which you mentioned.
My Understanding ----
CASE - You need to custom tab at seacrh helpl for Profit center [ as shown in the your screen shots]
Solution -
STEP 1 -You need to create a seacrh help which you need to display as in custom tab you required.
STEP 2 - Figure out the seacrh help used for the standard data element.
In your case profit center, PRCTR --> uses collective search help PRCT.
STEP 3 - Copy the standard search help PRCT into a custom one ,ZPRCT and include the custom search help which you have created in the STEP1.
STEP 4 - Create a prorgam and use the search help which you created as match code object id

Missing Icons in "Multiple Selection Window"

Hi Folks,
I am trying to solve an issue in regards to missing icons.
In any report when you click on the multiple selection icon on the right, you get a new window with 4 options.
1. Select Single Value (Green Dots)
2. Select Ranges (Green Dots)
3. Exclude SIngle Values (Red Dots)
4. Exclude Ranges (Red Dots)
We are upgrading our system to ECC6.0 from 5.0 and I do not see these icons in DEV and Quality since the upgrade. Is this a setting or Config? Please advise

Each window needs their own resources to create and build that window, so opening extra windows takes more memory.
You can see the current memory usage on the about:memory page.

Multiple Selection not Grouped into a Single Get Info Window

It used to be that when I selected a group of files and choose "Get Info", the file information is shown in a single windoid as a multiple selection. This allows you to, for example, lock all the files at once. Now when I select multiple files and choose "Get Info" I always get a separate windoid for each one popping up all over my screen.
Why? And how do I switch it back?

If you are checking on info for 10 or less files then it will open individual info windows. 11 or more will open a single info window showing the combined info for those files. But there are ways to get the one window for less then files which has been said already.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Restrict no. of entries in the multiple selection of DOCNUM of EDID4 tab

Hi,
Is it possible to restrict number of entries in the multiple selection of DOCNUM of EDID4 table.
i.e., Select the content button on se11 for EDID4 table. We can see the selection screen of the table. Press the multiple selection button of 'DOCNUM', we get a popup. Is it possible to restrict the no. of docnum entry to 500. If i enter more that 500 entries, it should popup a message.
Please share your ideas. I am working on 4.6c.

User is trying to import the docnum values from presentation server file using the 'Import from text file' icon on multiple selection popup. As the no. of docnum were 4500, during the execution of this process, other process trying to connect to oracle is going for short dump with message 'Run-time error (Oracle error code: ORA-4031)'. So user wanted to restrict it to 500.

Closing one of the opening windows tries to close all tabs on another window

I opened two windows, one with multiple tabs and another is no tab, when closing a window with no tab, a prompt window appears and ask if I want to close all tabs on another window. Prompt window appeared twice. Is this a bug?

I also had this issue and disabling the Awesome Screenshot add-on fixed it for me too. Its not doing it anymore after disabling that plugin. Thanks for the tip!!!

With the new update: I click on .pdf to download and multiple new tabs open w/o downloading .pdf file

Firefox opens multiple new tabs and does not stop doing so until I close the browser and even then it opens up on its own and continues to open multiple new tabs. If I do not get to it quickly enough, I may have to do this more than twice.
I have tried downloading a study on Internet Explorer and do not have this issue. There is also a Microsoft Word option that works on Firefox but it's the .pdf that is the problem.
I have not attempted to download any other .pdf files from other sites so I do not know if it is a problem with all .pdf files. But as stated above, it is not an issue with .pdf on IE.

Could you check your PDF viewer preference and try changing it to a different viewer to see whether that helps? This article describes how to access that setting: [[How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer]].
Unfortunately, the settings file that stores those application handling preferences sometimes contains crossed up settings or settings which Firefox cannot actually implement. In that case, you generally need to rename or remove that file and let Firefox rebuild it.
