Multiple Syncing Issues

I am having a lot of problems connecting my iPod touch to my laptop, and this only started recently. These are the problems:
1. When I plug in my iPod, a window comes up saying "Camera Connected," asking which program I'd like to open for my "camera" - iTunes is not an option. I hit cancel.
2. When iTunes is open, and I plug in my iPod, and it says the "Apple Mobile Device Service is not started." So I go into my local services window, and there isn't an option to stop the AMDS. There's only an option to start it, and when I do that, it says "The AMDS on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the performance logs and alert services." I can only hit OK, and it's NOT ok!
3. I've tried deleting and reinstalling iTunes, but that still didn't work.
I feel like I have done everything the support section of the web-site suggested. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I haven't synced my iPod in days, and I would love to have things back to normal.

Natively the device and software can't support what you are looking for. However with the use of third party applications you should be able to share the data nd see it in both whenever she syncs.
The program is called LivePIM and you can find it here
http://www.livepim.com/
The only key thing with the program is your boss has to sync the device in order for the changes to take effect. You will not be able to change something in Outlook and it automatically change in palm desktop also.

  • Help - Multiple sync issues

Please help - I'm at my wit's end. I would really appreciate help determining either solutions to the issues below or whether I have a hardware issue.
Issue 1: Sometimes when I sync my ipod, purchased music that was on the ipod is no longer on the ipod after the sync is completed. Sometimes if I sync a couple more times it shows up (keep reading).
Issue 2: Sometimes when I sync my ipod I receive the following message: "Attempting to copy to the disk "(ipod name) failed. The disk could not be read from or written to." My ipod will be partially updated. If I attempt to sync again (sometimes it takes a couple of times getting through this message) it finally gets all the new music/podcasts onto the ipod.
Issue 3: Sometimes when I sync my ipod I receive the message: "Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the ipod (ipod name) because your ipod software is too old. Go to the summary tab in ipod preferences and click update to get the latest ipod software update." However, when I go to the summary tab it informs me that my software is up to date.
In my latest endeavor to sync my ipod I came across each of these issues, in the order listed above. After issue #2 some of my purchased music had shown back up, but not all. After issue #3 the purchased music that had shown back up after the prior sync disappeared again. I started to sync again, and noticed the version of the software listed changed from 6.1.1 to 1.2 - yet I did not update anything. Synced again, checking the box for my album artwork to appear - like magic all my purchased music is back.
Note: I have reformatted, restored, updated, and reset my ipod (in various orders) many times.

    Hi zebelkhan,
Back on version 29 there was a new version of Sync released. This is why the interface will look different on the updated computer compared to the others. When it updated, in order to use the new sync, it was required to sign up for a new account on the new sync servers. It no longer has a recovery key and the new login for the accounts are accounts.firefox.com. Please keep in mind that the old accounts were not migrated over to the new ones.
Depending on which way you would like to go:
If you would like to update all of the other computers to the new sync please follow these instructions: [[How to update to the new Firefox Sync]]
If you plan on using an older version of sync, I do not recommend this: [[Install an older version of Firefox]] may be required to install the older version of sync.
    I hope this helps.

  • Myriad iTunes sync issues - song cutoffs - artwork problems - yeech!

    Hi all,
I’m running the latest version of iTunes on a (late 2013) Macbook Pro Retina laptop, and having several different flavors of syncing issues with my two devices –  a 16 gb iPhone 4S running iOS 7.1, and a 32 gb iPod Touch 3rd Gen running iOS 5.1.1.
As best I can tell, some syncing issues such as one of the ones I am experiencing (songs chopped-off when transferred and attempted to playback from the device) have existed in some way, shape or form for nearly 10 years now, so I’m not expecting any grand revelations here - but just looking for some honest advice on how to resolve in the shortest amount of time & with the least pain considering I have a fairly large music library in terms of syncing time required.  That being said, below bulleted-out are my current issues / frustrations / thoughts on where the problems may lie.   I would appreciate any advice:
Purchased iTunes songs (ripped MP3’s from CD’s that I own and tracks from other sources do not seem to have the problem…) play fine in iTunes on my laptop, but when transferred to either my iPhone or iPod, they will randomly (it’s not every track) be cutoff near the end of the song.  Sometimes the song will stop with 2 minutes remaining and go silent. Sometimes it will stop with 15 seconds remaining and go silent.  Sometimes it will stop somewhere in that time range and start the next track on the album while still displaying the info from the previous track.  The only solution I have found to this for purchased content thus far is to wipe everything out, and go back and download the tracks from the cloud.  I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000 tracks that fall into this category, so my options to download directly to the device an artist at a time are kind of time-consuming and cumbersome.  Would this have something to do with the file format of purchased tracks vs. ripped ones? I have a lot of older ripped material that was imported as MP3’s or MP3’s converted to M4A’s that never seems to have this problem.  The newer purchased files are mostly ACC’s which DO have the problem.   Also would this have anything to do with the fact that my library (including most of the purchased content) was recently moved over and imported to a new Macbook from a Windows backup?  Most of my iTunes library was Windows / PC for the majority of its existence for the past decade or so; we only recently switched back to Mac.
Discrepancies between deleting material on a device vs. what iTunes recognizes when it is plugged back in:  The other day, being frustrated with the random song chopping, I deleted everything on my iPod Touch 3rd Gen by going into Settings, Options, General, and “Usage” and then “Edit” and selecting to wipe out everything in iTunes. The device appeared to do this, and I was showing 28 gb or so free out of 32 once it completed.  Great, right?  I proceeded the rest of that day to painstakingly download approx. 900 tracks from the cloud onto the device, hoping to correct the chopping issue.  It did this, and I still had roughly 10 gb free. Great, right?  Later that night when I plugged the iPod into my Macbook with the 30 pin to sync, iTunes on the laptop for some reason still recognized the songs which I thought I had deleted hours earlier and showed me multiple copies of everything.  For the ones that had been deleted, when I clicked to play them on the iPod through iTunes, I got the little gray exclamation point - ! – in a circle like when a track has moved libraries and cannot be found.  iTunes then told me my sync could not be completed due to being over capacity on the device by a ridiculous 12 gb or something like that. Huh?? I could have gone through and manually deleted the (by that point more than 1000) duplicate tracks and synced to have made room I suppose – but after accidentally hitting Autofill – iTunes threw up its hands and would not let me do anything further.  Any attempts at that point to delete either pending Autofill tracks or missing duplicate tracks just led to endless spinning on the “Preparing Update” notice on the device which led to me having to kill iTunes.  Can you say big-time frustration?  I eventually opted to restore the iPod to factory (iOS 5.1.1) settings and start over.  That device is currently at home slogging through the process of attempting to re-download 400 some songs from the cloud over wi-fi so that I can avoid the cutoff track problem.  The plan after that is to sync playlists for certain artists over top of the purchased tracks so that my ripped tracks can merge with them to round out the playlist. Do you see how this is beginning to become a marathon?
Last but not least - it seems to be just since the last few iTunes upgrades for Mac, but I’m having a huge problem suddenly with album artwork staying synced properly. After one recent manual transfer session (30 pin between the iPhone and the Macbook) roughly half of the tracks I transferred had mismatched artwork.  Doing this through the cloud (downloading tracks “Not on this iPhone” via the iTunes app) doesn’t seem to have the same problem, but of course this takes longer. Also, what is the deal with “Show All Music” in iOS 7 and playing tracks from the cloud?  This is a really cool feature that allows you to save a ton of disk space on your device, but I have found that when I do this that many tracks have mismatched artwork.  For example right now I’m listening to a Grateful Dead song that is displaying Genesis artwork.  Huh?? Artwork is less of a big deal than the track lengths being chopped off, but it’s still annoying.
iTunes revolutionized the music industry and on the whole has been fantastic.  But it seems as if lately, little irritating problems like the syncing issues are becoming more and not less prevalent, and the problem is they aren't being dealt with.  I got my first Mac in college nearly 20 years ago now, and have been generally entrhalled with Apple products ever since.  But I have to say that this kind of junk lately is more what I would expect in the vein of problems from the shoddy-PC world that seem to linger and never get fixed.  Cupertino folks - what's the deal???

You're not the only one judging by the forums!
Likewise I have been using Apples since the Apple IIe(!) and have found them great in every respect. iTunes however over the past couple of years has deteriorated to th point of being unuseable. Apple has made iTunes the hub of your digital life and so it really has to work seemlessly.
I currently have had to completely wipe and re-install my 64Gb iPhone 4s several times to get my music back on to it. I cannot het any playlists to sync which is really annoying and it generally undermines my faith in Apples software quality.
Please put whatever resources are necessary to fix this soon Apple or you will certainly start to haemorrhage customers to other platforms. After all if iTunes remains broken then what's the point of paying the extra for Apple qulaity? You may as well uplaod ebverything to Google play and be done with it!

  • Syncing issues with an external hard drive

Hello, having a syncing issue with my iTunes right now. I have my library set up on an external hard drive because there isn't anymore space on my computer for my music, and the other day my roommate unplugged the external to ironically sync my ipod. There was a syncing issue of course but it's happened before so I wasn't worried, but now iTunes can't find a few hundred songs in my library still. I've restarted iTunes and replugged in my hard drive multiple times and restarted my computer and consolidated my library as well but nothing's working. All my music is still on my external but iTunes can't read some of the songs for some reason. Any suggestions at this point? I'm lost. Thanks.

    Welcome to AD!
What drive letter did the exHD use before this happened? Do you know?
Windows can change hard drive letters for USB devices without telling you.
Use Windows Disk Management to change the drive letter back to what it was before your roomie created this havoc. Then start itunes, and tell your roomie it's their turn to I dunno, clean the toilet, or something useful.

  • 160GB Classic Requires Multiple Syncs

My iPod seems to require multiple syncs, and I haven't the foggiest as to why. Here's the lowdown:
    1) I recently completed a mass re-encoding of my music collection.
    2) I restored my iPod in iTunes (in OS X).
    3) After the restore, it automatically started syncing my library (just shy of 28000 songs).
    4) Syncing completed. I unplugged and went about my day.
    5) After modifying the album art of 2 albums (with about 12 songs each), I plugged my iPod in to ensure it was kept up-to-date.
    6) The iPod (or possibly iTunes) decided to delete 519 of its songs and re-sync them.
This happens without me modifying any of the songs themselves. Sometimes it decides to just "arbitrarily" delete and re-sync ~3000 songs--this is extremely irritating when I'm just looking to add the one album I've added to my library and I have to leave in 5 minutes for work.
I don't get why those extra songs required syncing, and this wasn't the first time this happened. I figured the restore that I did would fix the earlier problem.
I realise that I could just manually manage... but sometimes it's tough keeping track of the modifications when a library is as large as mine.

    Hi Areolex,
I work for Dr Pod, an iPod repair company.
It sounds like your hard drive is dying. Sadly, no software can fix this - the hard drive would require replacing. Are you in the UK? This would usually cost around £100 for a new drive, which my company could do for you. As your iPod is 19 months old, it is out of warranty, and Apple would charge you for any repairs. If you are near an Apple Store, you could always take it and see if a Genius would be willing to repair for you. You need to book an appointment for this.
In short, the iPod needs a new hard drive, which is a hardware issue.
I hope that I have helped. Please get back to me if you need any more assistance,
    Mark Sweeney

  • 4.6 Deskto Sync Issues

I am having a lot of issues syncing with Blackberry devices with the new 4.6 software and the same issue is present with 4.5 software as well.
I work for a business that owns multiple Blackberry phones in which we develop software for those phones.  They are all out of the box retail with nothing done to the OS.  I have never had issues syncing the phones with my computers before the newest versions of the desktop software became available.
I have had this exact issue on both of my computers that I use at work so it is most likely not related to the laptops (one is IBM and one is Dell). Essentially, I can sync a device to my pc using the 4.6 software and everything works correctly (well, some applications refuse to uninsall for some reason).  Then randomly after unplugging the device and attempting another sync with the same device I can no longer sync.  I select Options and then Connection Options and I am presented with None or USB as my choices.  I can not hook up any other BB device of a different model and have it sync either.
If I kill the processes for the BB desktop software and restart it I still can not sync.  The only way I can get phones to sync again using the 4.5/4.6 software is by rebooting.  Then I get another random amount of syncs with one or multiple phones before it simply stops working again.
I can install an older version of the desktop software (4.2 or 4.3) and I have no issues with syncing at all.  However, since I am using newer phones and installing new apps I get the problem of not being able to use the desktop installer for applications because I will get the very common "no devices found" error when attempting to install (not sure why you guys have not fixed that yet for new devices...it's very annoying since your desktop software lags behind quite a bit).
I assume I am not the only person who is having this issue since I am having it on multiple computers with multiple phones.
Thank you in advance for any assistance

    Thank you!
OS - PC:  WinXP on both and Service Pack 2 on the IBM and SP3 on the Dell
OS - Phones:  Ranges from 4.2 to 4.6.  I typically use 81xx, 83xx, 88xx and 9000 Bold and up phones but sometimes the 8700/7100 series too.  If you want real specific I have 8100, 8120, 8130, 8300, 8310, 8330, 8800, 8820, 8830 and 9000 (from the UK).  I can't divulge any other phones but I think that is enough.
Sync - I mean syncing phone to computer.  Not email.  I have described this in my OP so no need to get more detailed than that
Switching versions - If by clean you mean uninstalled the old version and installed the new one then yes, I did that on the IBM.  I started out with 4.6 on the new Dell and then regressed back to 4.2 desktop manager and then back up to 4.6 desktop manager.  On the IBM I have had pretty much every version of the Desktop manager installed and the only versions that gives me sync issues is 4.5 and 4.6.
    Phones - Listed above
I see from your sig that this is a community forum.  Hopefully you guys can help me and if not I'll need to contact RIM.

  • SCCM 2012 R2 CU4 - WSUS Sync issues

    *EDIT/Update*
I had incorrectly diagnosed this as an issue with CU4. The issue was in fact between Microsoft and WSUS.
The method listed in this thread ended up working for me.
Here is an official KB article for the issue: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3058255?wa=wsignin1.0
(I have a small environment - only 1 SCCM server [primary] and 200 servers managed)
I upgraded from CU3 to CU4 last week and I cannot get my WSUS to sync all of the updates for April 2015. I also upgraded my test server and it is syncing fine.
I did some digging yesterday and found out that even tho the site server upgraded (I only have one SCCM server), the SQL update failed because I did not have proper permissions. I've since had a DBA run the update.sql file included with the CU (found at:
    %Program Files%\Microsoft Configuration Manager\hotfix\KB3026739)
I restarted my SCCM server again this morning and tried running multiple syncs with Microsoft and it is still pulling in nothing.
I am not getting any errors in WSUS, wsyncmgr.log, WCM.log, or the change.log for wsus. Everything just looks like it attempted to sync - found nothing - then ended the sync successfully.
I had one of the networking guys look at the firewall and he says its getting thru and establishing a connection - but it looks like MS is terminating the connection? I cannot see anything that would indicate this in my logs. Here is what he sent me: http://i.imgur.com/znOvxEN.jpg
Now, to make things even more interesting. In the many many attempts I have made over to the last two days to get SCCM/WSUS to sync April's updates, it has worked in small amounts.... it once expired 16 updates and another time pulled in 2 updates released
on 4/15/15 (but only 2!). I have my sync settings set up exactly like my test server which, again, is working fine.
As always, any help is appreciated!

sounds like there might be a bigger issue with WSUS and Microsoft?

  • FCP6 - Audio Sync Issues on Existing Clips

I recently installed the FCS2 upgrade on my MacPro desktop. I opened an existing project (with mostly 24p timelines) and there are some clips where the audio/video are not in sync. When I play the clips back from the Finder in QuickTime, they play perfectly fine. When I try playing them back in FCP6, in the Viewer window or in the timeline, the audio is not in sync.
A more accurate description would be: it's actually a VIDEO sync issue. When I get to a clip in my timeline that has this problem, the audio is accurate, but the video plays back a few seconds behind. Another observation: When I play the clip in the viewer from the beginning, the audio is in sync, by the middle it's off a little, then by the end it is VERY out of sync.
My preliminary diagnosis is that FCP6 is not interpreting the 24p files correctly. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the media hoping it would help but it didn't.
Sorry for the long-winded explanation. Is anyone else having these issues? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Update: In FCP6 (it may have been in FCP5 but I never saw it or used it) there is an option under Tools->Analyze Movie->Clip. When I run this against a clip that works ok, everything comes back normal. When I run this against a clip that is not working properly, it says:
    Filename: Netherbeast_6-15
    Duration: 00:02:20:13
    Average Data Rate: 2998k/sec
    Audio Grouping: Multiple
    Video Track 1 (386.2 MB)
    Duration: 00:02:20:13
    Frame Size: 720 x 480
    Color Depth: 24-bit Color
Codec: DV/DVCPRO - NTSC at Most Quality
    Frame Rate: 23.98 fps
    Average Data Rate: 2810k/sec (117k/frame)
This track appears to have dropped frames.
    This track contains:
3372 frames of a duration of 1.2500 frames
1 frame of a duration of 1.0000 frame
Audio Track 1 (Stereo, 25.8 MB)
    Duration: 00:02:20:13
    Average Data Rate: 188k/sec
    Format: 16-bit, Stereo
    Sampling Rate: 48.000 khz
    Timecode Track Source TC
    Timecode: 00:27:30:14
    Reel: 006
Since these clips have not changed since my FS2 upgrade, then there is a difference between FCP5 and FCP6 handle these "dropped" frames. Whereas FCP5 was more forgiving and kept the audio in sync, and FCP6 does NOT.
Does anyone have ANY idea how I can get this resolved?

  • Colour sync issues safari

    Hi,
For a long while now, I've been noticing some oddities in OSX 10.8 regarding display of images in Safari.
Having just installed 10.8.5 combo, I was hoping it would finally be fixed.
It's difficult to describe what the problem is, but certain colours and images in Safari are not displaying correctly. Its seems images are displayed correctly most of the time, with a short delay until the image is displayed with the correct colour. Backgrounds of certain webpages often don't display correctly, where part of the page is loaded showing a different colour or brightness of the background. Often text colour is also not shown correctly, but these differences are hardly noticable. On some ocasions, image files are loaded with the top half appearing slightly different to the bottom half... slight colour variations, different black points and overall brightness.
The problem is not consistent, but often shows up in some of my frequently visited pages. Refreshing a page, or scrolling the page all the way down and up again, will sometimes make the page display properly. It seems to me as a colour sync issue in Safari, but I'm not really sure. I have reset Safari multiple times. I have reinstalles the OS.
Does anyone know if this is a known issue, and if there is perhaps a fix?
I have a Macbook Pro 9.1  2.3GHz  16GB RAM  running OSX 10.8.5.  Both my monitors are calibrated with a Spyder Elite 4, and these problem I'm experiencing seem to be exlusively limited to Safari. I'm not a fan of Crhome or Firefox, so changing browsers is not something I consider an option.
Bellow is a creenshot showing a common issue I'm experiencing.
Thanks in advance for any insight...
    Martin

The problem is not consistent, but often shows up in some of my frequently visited pages
Try emptying the cache. Press Command + Option + E. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that doesn't help, open a Finder window. From the Finder window click Go > Go to Folder.
Type or copy paste the following:
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test again.
If that doesn't help, from your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari and test again.

  • Reading list sync issue

have an iPhone 5s, iPad air, iMac and macbook air. All fully updated. I have a very odd and frustrating sync issue. Reading lists do not sync correctly. If I add something to the reading list on my phone it will sync with my iPad and vice-versa but not with the macs. The same issue with the macs. Reading list additions made on my iMac will sync with the macbook and vice-versa but not with iOS devices. Everything else syncs perfectly including bookmarks, open tabs, calendar entries, iCloud documents etc. Reading lists are the only issues. I have turned syncing on and off, deleted and recreated plists, started and restarted multiple times in various orders and even emptied my reading lists and started from scratch but nothing has helped. Has anyone any ideas?

  • Email sync issues

I'm having email sync issues & can't find a solution that fixes my problem.  Tried everything I've been able to find, including ensuring Sync function is enabled in multiple locations, disabling then reenabling sync features, powering my phone off/on, even resetting the battery. Received the NK1 update on 11 Dec. Not sure if that's when the problems started or not, as I've been busy, but that's seems about the time things stopped sync'ing properly. Am using the email app that comes with the phone (an S4 mini), and have 3 email accounts, cox.net, and 2 aol accts.  The cox & 1 of the aol accts won't sync, but the other aol acct does sync.  The one that is working I have set to not auto sync, & the manual sync works. Not so on the other two ... the sync app says they are sync'd, but the email app says they haven't been sync'd in like 2-3 days, even tho I've sync'd them multiple times today. Get a continually circling busy / working symbol.  Get new email on desktop computer without issues. After a few days, the other two accts will sync up.

    CSForest,
From time-to-time I have had this issue with the default email app.  Have you checked to see that the app is synched?  When it happens with my S4, there is a message at the bottom of the screen saying the app isn't synched.  Try this: pull down the status bar and click on the icon at the far right.  This will open all the functions available on the status bar.  Make sure 'Synch' is on.  For some reason, this function on my phone gets turned off without me doing it.  KarenC suggested using another email app.  As a backup, I use K-9 Mail.  I really like this app.
    I hope this helps.

  • Outlook 2013 Sync issue forler has 4000 emails

    Dear All,
we have recently migrated users to exchange online. there was a user who has a large mailbox (11GB approx.) the migration has completed successfully but user's sync folder has more than 4000 objects as duplicated.
any idea on this is highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Conflicts folder contains all the multiple copies of conflicting items between what are in your local cache (OST) and your mailbox on the server.
An InfoBar at the top of the original item advises you that a conflict for this item exists.
The conflicting item is stored in the Conflicts folder. Clicking the InfoBar will bring up a list of conflicting items and allow you to resolve the conflict by determining which item you want to keep.
If you still need the items which are listed in the Conflicts folder, verify if they still exist in your mailbox and also exist on the server by using OWA.
If they doesn’t exist in your mailbox, you’ll need to move these items to a folder to check if the changes get uploaded now. If you can see these items in the mailbox, you can just cleanup the folder.
In addition, Outlook 2013 contains an improvement as of the April 2014 hotfix to prevent these errors from being saved in the Sync Issues folder, you may install the hotfix to improve the functionality.

  • Contact Merge/Sync Issue in Droid X

I think potential users of the Droid X who intend to sync with Microsoft Exchange should realize that the contact manager on the phone causes some real issues with how contacts are displayed. I have 2,300 contacts in Outlook, and when I got the Droid X this week and set it up to synch with our corporate exchange server, I ended up with only 1,700 contacts on my device. After spending hours troubleshooting it (thinking it was a sync issue), it was escalated to Motorola Level 3 support, They quickly indicated it is a design issue where the contact data manager on the device tries to link/combine together contacts from your various sources (Gmail, Verizon, Yahoo, corporate, etc.) into a condensed set of contacts. Unfortunately, it apparently does this by looking for common pieces of information (phone numbers, addresses, etc.), such that if you have multiple contacts at the same company or if you have similar contacts (say for both a business and someone working for that business), they get combined together in inappropriate ways. You can apparently go into each contact on the device and break the link, but that is impractical as a workaround.
It seems to me that however a user sets up contacts in Outlook (or elsewhere), that layout should be respected by the device and not changed.
The Motorola service rep indicated that he had previously relayed a request to their engineers that users be able to select whether or not they want contacts automatically linked, but this has not been implemented.
The Droid X also doesn't let you sort contacts other than by first name/last name, another bad feature that seems silly. The Motorola rep also indicated that this design request had not been implemented.
I've been a Blackberry user for years, and while I love the large screen on the Droid X and the other applications, these contact issues are significant and don't make it workable for me in a corporate environment, so I've returned it to Verizon. (This also happened to be device #2 in a week; Verizon took back device #1 went back because it could receive but would not transmit emails). I am told by my company's IT group that the iPhone does not handle contacts in this same way.
On a happier note, both the VZW and Motorola customer support centers provided timely and helpful support.

  • Outlook 2013 & Hotmail (Tranferring Emails between Accounts, Syncing Issues, Categories)

    I would appreciate if someone could asssist me with the following Issues;
ISSUE 1 – Transferring emails between Hotmail accounts
I have multiple Hotmail accounts set up in Outlook 2013 on one of my PC’s. I also have the exact same set up using Outlook 2010 on other PC’s.
In Outlook 2010 i can easily transfer emails between Hotmail accounts just by clicking and dragging the email to the inbox of the other account.
    I am unable to do this in Outlook 2013. When i try i get a dialogue box with the following message;
"Cannot move the items. The folders you are trying to change do not support this operation. Could not complete the operation because the service provider does not support it."
    ISSUE 2 - Syncing Issues
I have this set up with multiple accounts on more than one PC. So when i access any of the PC's and click send receive, the Hotmail accounts are updated
to reflect the changes I made on any other PC (Ex. The emails that i left as Unread on the other PC will appear as unread on the PC i am at the present moment when I click sen/receive)
This doesn’t seem to be working as well on Outlook 2013 as it does on Outlook 2010. Example - When i click on send/receive i know that it should show only 2 unread emails but instead it shows
10 unread emails. This was never the case with Outlook 2010.
ISSUE 3 - Categories not syncing in Outlook 2013.
When i select a category on one PC using Outlook 2010, i noticed that when i go to another PC using Outlook 2013 and press send/receive it does show the category changes i have made.
I really enjoy using Outlook and Hotmail and have never even considered any other provider. I would really appreciate if someone could advise me on these issues, wether there’s something I can do to correct them or if there’s any intention of making any
changes so that the above will be fixed so that we can have the same functionality we enjoyed in Outlook 2010.
    Thanks

Any way  of being notified about this when it happens?
I'm going back to 2010 and would like to re-install 2013 when possible.
    Thank you.
It's on their list, but major changes to the EAS protocol is driven by Exchange and as it stands now, I don't think they will implement it before the next version of Exchange comes out. After that, the Outlook.com team needs to implement the new version
on their servers and Outlook needs to be updated to support it.
    The IMAP workaround mentioned in
http://www.msoutlook.info/question/765 is workable for migration scenarios.
As about getting notifications when it happens, following the
Outlook Team's blog might help but I'll announce it on my site as well (see my signature).
