How can I plot multiple transfer functions in one bode graph? Can someone point me to an example

Li,
First, if you use the mouse to grab the top of the plot legend and "pull" it up, multiple plots will appear. The graph node will expect multiple inputs. Does that solve your problem or is there more to it? If it doesn't it would help if you would post the code you have so far.

Print multiple Transfer Orders on one output

Hi All
I am having trouble in getting the correct config for printing multiple Transfer Orders on the same output.
As part of our warehouse supervision there are occasions when we need to move materials from one bin to another. Individual materials can be moved using LT01 which prints the transfer order correctly.
However, when we need to move several materials we use LT10. This prints the Transfer Orders individually. Is there a way to have just one output that lists all the materials? So it would be one transfer order with multiple item lines

Thanks for your update.
I also didn't fix this issue.
But in LT10 screen: if you change the radio button from Quant to Storage bin you will only get one combined TO per bin instead of individual TO’s per quant. The steps assume the materials are going to the same storage bin. But if the user need the option to choose by line item and putaway to a specific bin,it seems can not meet their requiements.It may need development.

Customize multiple Y scales in one wave graph

Hi,
I am trying to show two channels in the same waveform graph but with seperate Y scales. And I want to customize the two Y scales independently using property nodes. But I found under the waveform graph property node there is only one Y scale.
Does anyone have the experience to customize them independently using property nodes?

Use the property "Active Y Scale" to select the scale you want to act upon.
Set Active Y scale to 0 (the first Y scale), then set all the properties as you wish for that 1st Y scalethen set Active Y scale to 1 (the second Y scale) and again set all the properties you wish for that 2nd Y scale.

Transfer Function with CVI 5.0

Let me first introduce myself. I am a Telecomunication Engineering student
from Spain workimg on a project based on Labwindows/CVI and the data adquisitionscard
PCI 6024E.
In this project I have to calculate the transfer function of a network
under test, and I would like to display the amplitude and phase in frecuency.
I just got to display the window spectrum so far (mainlobe and sidelobes),
and I would like to display the amplitude and phase spectrum as a Bode Diagram.
To develope this project I am using the Advanced Analisys Library and the
function Transfer Function.
I would really appreciate your help in the following matters:
a) How can I display the transfer function as a Bode Diagram?
b) What
stimulus do I have to generate for a band width (2KHz)?
c) What window do I have to use?
I am grateful for your attencion and I will be working forward to hearing
from you.

Do a web serch for TVichw32, it's a small DLL/VXD the you can compile easily
for CVI that does just that (I use v2.0).

Transfer function + controller + Bode plot and root locus

Hi
I am trying to plot Bode plot and root locus for trasfer function
TF = 1/(s^4 + 2s^2)
Then I want to implement Ideal compensators (PI , PD or PID) or lag/lead compensator to get the required stability
I am trying to do this Labview 8.o in control design and simulation loop. (V2.0)
I have done some simulation but I am not understanding as to how implement controller on this.
I need little help.

I have one typical controlers question where I am using feedback control
alongwith compensators. My transfer function is like fourth order
TF = 1/S^2(S^2+2)
but rootlocus and transfer function in labview do not let me write equation more than 3rd order.
How can I write this 4th order equation.
Next I want to make one feedback control on this transfer function and then want to plot bode and rootlocus.
I have made one vi of fourth order by placing transfer function in series and then for feedback gain I have placed another transfer function with feedback. I have also attached rootlocus vi but it does not show me rootlocus since rootlocus Vi can not take more than fourth order transfer function.
I want to plot my step response, bode, and root locus for step input
I have also tried to make another VI with tansfer function VI which has feed back terminal in it, but I donot know how to get bode and rootlocus out of that.

When displaying multiple curves on one 2d graph in reports how do I force one curve to be in the foreground? I have two signals and I want to show one overlayed on top of the other. Right now Diadem will only graph it the other way around. I have tried deleting the curves and re-adding them in differnt orders, changin the order they are in the curve list, changing their order inthe data portal, right clicking on the curve and selecting "move to forground" (this only moves the entire 2-d graph object to the foreground). Im using Diadem 12.0 Basic.

Hello Joe,
I figured out what causes your curves to draw in the wrong "order".
You are using two Y-axes, and DIAdem always draws the data for Y1 before Y2, no matter what the order of the curves is in the "Curve and Axis Definition" dialog.
I am attaching your layout with a small modification, I changed the Y1 and Y2 axis order (I swapped which Y-axis the data is displayed on), and I get the following result:
Once I looked at your layout it became clear why the order of the curves didn't reflect the order in which the curves were drawn. I didn't know this - so I just learned something new here as well.

i'm using this method for single file :

This is what i have done
it's really intresting that The color of the plots automatically got changed

now i'm working on user just select the folder and the code automatically display all file in the folder .

How to show multiple curves in one xy graph.

I can get the temprature ,humidity and co2 data from sensors.Now l want to show them in one xy graph, and the x-axis shows the absolut time. I already set different y-axis, and tried many ways, but still can't get three curves.

The numer of x points needs to be the same as the number of y points.
Each plot needs to be an array, currently you only have a single plot with 3 points.
Your property nodes are not necessary.
What determines the loop rate?
Please attach your VI instead of a picture. We cannot tell how the express Vi is configured. (e.g. is it set to retain data? You would probably run out of memory pretty quickly.)
If the timing (=loop rate) is regular, you might be better off with a chart instead.

Generic Table Control in ABUMN for multiple transfer of assets

Hi Experts,
Problem Description
We are trying to use transaction ABUMN for multiple asset transfer.
We need to transfer more than one assets to multiple assets by quantity
and value.
Our Efforts/Observation
Instead of going ahead with BDC/LSMW, we tried using table control to utilize standard SAP functionality.
For making this happen, we are trying to use the Generic Table control which is available in ABUMN once you click on "Multiple assets" button.
However, even though we are making fields like
EL7, EL8 etc available in the screen (by removing check from the "Invisible" check box), they are in display mode and are not giving me any option to select quantity and value that needs to be transferred from each asset.
We need to assign these fields to some field like quantity/percentage so that they can be used.
If you see, the column header is also blank.
We need to transfer hundreds of assets, hence requesting you to please
fix this urgently so that we can transfer assets and close the quarter.

I'm sorry, transaction ABUMN will never get this functionality you requested.
For mass transfer, customers have the possibilities to use batch input on transaction ABUM or BAPI.

How to implement the Transfer Function in Real Time VIs?

Hi all,
I'm relatively new to Labview Real Time modoule and want to implement one Controller(not PID one) in Deterministic Loop! I have already designed discrete Transfer Function and searching for the way to build one Controller with it! Is it right to use the Simulation Loop instead of Timed Loop (in this case Deterministic loop) and implement the controller in it?! If it's correct so, should I use the same clock and Priod as Timed Loop?!
It would be very helpful, if there is an Example about using transfer function in Real Time Loops!

Hello mhmdi,
Sorry I can't open your VI (looks like it is a new version of LV than I have installed).
You're right - you don't need to convert to a difference equation if you have the CD&SIM Module which can take discrete time transfer functions directly. You don't need shift registers with this function, as it is effectively done internally. If you don't have CD&SIM discrete TF's can be implemented easily just in a timed (or while) loop with feedback nodes or shift registers to replicate each z-1 you need.
Some more ideas:
There are many configuration parameters and options with the Discrete TF VI - which you need to understand for your application and make sure are correct. Sometimes implementing in a basic form (timed loop and shift registers) allows you to see what is happening without any confusing options you might not need.
Are you using the Discrete TF VI in a Simulation Loop ? You might need to think if the loop being used is appropriate for a Real Time application. Maybe the timing of the TF, the loop and the DAQmx data are not all suitable for each other.
I'm not familar with DAQmx, so not sure about any specific real-time aspetcs of that.

This could actually make things worse - but depends on your transfer function if it is a problem. Think about it this way - in the scenario you state the input signal going into the Discrete TF will only change once in every three samples, that means if your transfer function includes a 1-z^(-1) factor (i.e. a derivative) - that will be zero for two samples then jump up for the next sample. You'll observe a very jittery/noisy signal, but the noise is due to samples not being correct. This will also occur if the sample times are very similar but go in and out of sync where you may get the occassional sample that is the same and hence the occassional zero in the TF.
In an application I had we had problems trying to get the data coming into a timed loop and the timed loop itself synchronise, and before it was fixed the control signal was very jittery.

for this purpose let us put aside security concerns and other potential problems....
-- Get the content of a server directory with Filter and create zip file
1) create a class that implements java.io.FilenameFilter ...
2) define accept() method ...
3) call File.list() with the filter as a parameter. The returned array of strings will have all the names that passed through the accept() filter
4) use java.util.Zip to create ZIP file on the server side
-- I think it is better to create this functionality as a separate Java class, put it in required folder and after it
-- use Forms->Program->"Import Java class" to create pl/sql wrappers, than to create wrappers for all classes and code in pl/sql
5) use webutil to transfer file on the client
6) use Java on client side to unzip transferred file
if you think this is not too complicated, you should try ...

This is the Normal Third Party Sub Contracting
Follow these steps
If components to be provided to a vendor are supplied not by your company but by a third-party, you can order the components from the third-party and specify the subcontractor in the purchase order as the delivery address. At goods receipt the components are posted directly to the stock of the material provided to vendor.
Entering a Purchase Order for Components
To order components for a subcontract order from a vendor and have them delivered direct to the subcontractor, enter a standard purchase order with a different delivery address:
From the Purchasing menu, choose Purchase order ® Create ® Vendor known.
Maintain the data on the initial screen. Make sure you enter the vendor of the components and the plant concerned.
Enter the items.
Then choose Item ® More functions ® Delivery address.
A dialog box appears in which you enter the delivery address.
In the field Vendor enter the number of the subcontractor and select the SC vendor box.
Selecting the box causes the components at goods receipt to be posted directly to the stock of the material provided to vendor when the goods receipt is posted.
Save the purchase order.
Posting the Goods Receipt of the Components
If the subcontractor lets you know that the components have arrived, you can enter the goods receipt for the purchase order. The components are posted directly to the stock of the material provided to vendor.
Stock Update
A goods receipt posting has the following results in the system:
the stock of material provided to vendor at plant level is increased. The stock of material provided to vendor is not managed at storage location level, since the stock is no longer stored at your company.
Valuated stock at plant level increases.
Documents
An accounting document is created for the material document.
After this normal subcontracting order for finished product.

Transfer music from one Ipod to another

I have an I Pod Mini and now also a shuffle. I would like to transfer the songs from the mini to the shuffle on ITunes but it doesn't work. Does anyone know how I can do that ? Thanks

You can't transfer directly from one iPod to another. If you have songs on the Mini that aren't in iTunes you need to copy them back and update the shuffle from there. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod.
