Muse 7.0: parallax elements disappear when combined with a glow

Hi there,
I have a bug: parallax scrolling images do not show anymore after a glow is added. I have tried in Safari, Chrome, FF - all the same, they are also not shown in the preview of Muse either.
The images are psd (two states, one regular and one hover) and the have a scrolling effect, moving from the left into the screen. Once I add a glow to the images, they disappear completely.
What could this be, any ideas?

Hi Barti,
I see this bug you're pointing out. It appears that as soon as the objects are completely off the screen, they do not want to come back on the screen. When I start the psds on the screen they appear, but as soon as I scroll down they disappear until I reload the page. I'm sorry for the hassle this has caused, but there is a workaround until we can get this bug fixed for you.
1. Drag out a states button and delete the preset rectangle and text frame.
2. Place both images onto the state button and style them as you want.
3. For the image you want to appear only in Rollover state, change its opacity (now in normal state) to be 0.
4. Change the state button to show Rollover state.
5. Set the image you want to only appear in Normal state to have opacity 0.
6. Set the image you want to only appear in Rollover state to have opacity 100.
If the images are right on top of each other the layers panel will help out in selecting the correct image when one has no opacity or they're stacked. This will also cause the mousedown state to have the rollover state's image, but that can be changed by selecting the mousedown state and changing the image opacities.

Form fields disappearing when combining PDFs

I'm having a curious issue where form fields that display properly in a one-page PDF document are disappearing when the document is combined into a larger, multi-page PDF document. The individual page (created in Acrobat Pro 8) has 12 rows of checkboxes that show up when the document is opened in Acrobat Pro 8, Pro X, or even Preview. However, after being combined into a 150-page PDF (with Acrobat Pro X), the top three rows of checkboxes have disappeared (and this occurs across all of the programs I just listed). I've tried re-doing the offending page in both Acrobat 8 and X, and replacing it within the multi-page document (again, trying both Acrobat 8 and X) and once it's combined into the larger PDF, those top three rows of checkboxes always disappear. I'm at a loss.
Any suggestions for troubleshooting this?
- Mac OS 10.6.7
- iMac 2.4ghz Core 2 Duo / 3GB RAM
- Acrobat Pro X (or 8)

I'm combining them by using the "Combine Files Into a PDF" feature in Acrobat. I've done this countless times before with no issues -- this is the first time I've seen this happen.

SSL indicator disappears when page with video tag has been loaded

I have a strange bug in Firefox, that was detected when site moved to SSL.
There is single page site built on Backbone.
When page with video tag loaded SSL indicator disappears.
Firebug shows that Firefox create GET request connection to the server but it hangs.
All site logic work correctly. And video on this page works perfect, I can click play and new connection will be created and video played but first connection still hangs.
There is four page with video tag (four steps of wizard) and hanged connection appears randomly on this pages.
Actually this issue exists without SSL, but detected only when we moved to SSL and lock icon began to disappear.

The SSL indicator can disappear if there is mixed content on that page (i.e. coming via an unencrypted http connection).
Did you click the Site Identity Button (globe/padlock) and proceeded to the Security tab in Page Info?

Keyboard disappears when dictating with Siri

It sometimes happens when dictating with Siri on my iPhone 4S, that the keyboard completely disappears. I then cannot hit the "Done." button and have to restart the application. It happens once in awhile, and I do not recognise any reason. It already happened with the Mail app, Messaging, WhatsApp, and others.
Do you also have experienced anything like that?
Have you any solutions to solve this?
May it be general software error?

Sorry for the trouble you're having. I personally contacted the manufacturer (HTC), and learned that since your keyboard is not displaying in landscape mode (as opposed to simply not rotating), there are a couple of things we can try. First:
- Tap Menu>Settings>Apps>Manage Apps> Choose Touch Input >Clear Data>Force Stop.
If this does not resolve the matter, please perform a factory reset. Please be sure to backup important data you have on the phone before taking these steps:
- Tap Menu>Settings>SD&Phone Storage>Factory Data Reset>Reset Phone>Erase Everything
When your phone reboots and you log into your Gmail account, the apps you had will be restored.
In the event this does not resolve the matter, your phone may be in need of replacement.

Characters disappear when combining documents

I have a PDF that I have created in Indesign CS5.5. After exporting it I password protect it in Acrobat Pro X with Printing, Document Assembly and Content Copying allowed, the rest is not allowed. The document font is DIN Pro.
I then send the PDF to my colleague which will change some text in Acrobat X using the Edit Document Text Tool and inserting a couple of PDFs from elsewhere. These inserted PDFs often have an other font than the original PDF but usually the standard ones like Arial and Times. My colleague then password protects it and sends it to our customers.
Both of us have DIN Pro Installed.
Now to the problem. When our customers are viewing the document the edited characters are not visible, instead there are dots for every character or nothing at all. It works if you have DIN Pro installed.
It also works if you just edit the text without inserting any new pages.
What is going on? This is a major problem for us now sins we can't publish a single document. We have recently changed our graphical profile from Arial to DIN Pro so we didn't have this problem before.

After further testing I have noticed that the characters only vanishes if you edit the text before you insert new pages. If you do it the other way around the characters are displayed correctly.
Another solution is to open a PDF that is not displayed correctly, delete a character that you previously edited, retype it and save.
This is not a solution I'm comfortable with, what is causing this behavior?

Creating item in shared calendar- it disappears when syncs with icloud!

This has been going on for weeks. When I create a new event on a shared calendar, the edit window closes and I see my appointment listed correctly. A few moments later, as the "updating..." line appears at the top of the screen, the event's title and time disappears and it reverts to my default calendar at a random time during the day (same date). I could create 10 events and the moment it tries to sync to iCloud, they are all GONE! Anyone else notice this from a shared calendar? FWIW- it doesn't do this when I schedule directly on icloud.com, but I find the interface to be a pain in the neck to use regularly. All suggestions welcome.

To change your iCloud ID you have to delete the account, then sign in with the alternate ID. Before doing this, if you want to keep your data and move it to the new account, go to Settings>iCloud and turn each of your synced data to Off, and when prompted choose to keep the data on your iPhone. When everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account, the sign back in with your other account ID and turn syncing back on; when prompted, choose merge.
If all your data is already in your other account then you don't need to do this. Just delete the account from your phone, selected not to keep the data, then sign into the new account, turn on data syncing and if prompted, choose merge.

IC WC: Exception occured when combine with Custom Controller

I was trying to combine a context node in my application to the context node "CurrentContext" of custom contrroler CuCoBDC.do however the following exception occured when I tried to display the page: "BSP exception: The object CuCoBDC.do in the URL /sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ic_preview/root.do is not valid."
Can anyone please give me some hints?

can you please check the BOL entity used for both custom controller and view contex nodes are the same!.
also do check the binding code in the method create_context_node( ) in _CTXT class of the view!.

Single frame disappears when compressing with de-interlacing turned on

I'm having trouble with a single frame - showing a lightning flash - disappearing after compression. I've found I need to turn on de-interlacing in the Inspector to avoid bad problems with the interlacing showing on edges when panning sidewards, but since I've turned de-interlacing on, this one frame disappears.
I've tried making it a freeze-frame, held for several seconds. I've tried slowly zooming in on the same frame for several seconds. I've tried putting in compression markers all over it. In all cases, the lightning flash is there in Final Cut Pro, but disappears on compression.
Any suggestions?

I dont have the answer, but rather a similair problem. If you don't mind I will add it to your blog here so hopefully someone can answer both our problems with one solution.
I have been compressing the same FCP sequence several times making only small changes to my sequence each time(adding and deleting certain photos per clients request). Now all of a sudden, one on the photos simply does not show up after being compressed. It renders just fine in FCP and exports to Compressor just fine, but after I compress it, when I play it, the two seconds of the sequence that is supposed to show a certain picture, it is just black.

Username disappear when login with saved user credentials

I am trying to login to a SSL enabled site; I have already stored my username password with FF.
but when I try to login here what happens.
* Typing my username and select the same from the dropdown.
* once I click on the username
* password field filled and the username disappears.

Does this happen on all pages where you try to login and have an name and password saved?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

MSI Z68a-GD55-G3 wont post when combined with new RAM

Hi!
I currently have 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance RAM installed and everything was fine. Then I ordered 2x8gb Crucial Ballistix LP (got them cheap).
Both have 9-9-9-24 timings are at 1600MHz, but when installed together PC does not go to even BIOS. Just powers off and then again starts powering up and then powers off (cycle continues)
I have tried the 2 new sticks and they work fine, tried in two different configs (8,x,8,x and x,8,x,8)
With 4 sticks: 8,4,8,4 or 4,8,4,8, no post.
My system specs:
Core i5 2500K
MSI Z68-GD 55 G3
Has anyone had any luck with this combination before. Should I just give up now?

You are not going to have much luck mixing different brands of RAM like that. At the very least if you are going to mix 2 kits of RAM you should buy the exact same models and even then you can't be guaranteed they will work together as the chips may be different from one batch to the next even tho part & model number of the sticks are the same.
Now that 4 channel kits are available you should really go that route.

Purchased ringtone disappeared when syncing with iTunes

I purchased a ringtone using iTunes store on my iPhone and was able to enjoy it for a day before I synced the iPhone with iTunes on my computer. A Window appeared stating "[the ringtone] was not copied to iPhone because you are not authorized to play it on this computer". So now the ringtone is visible in iTunes, but it disappeared from the iPhone... and it annoys me because I paid for the ringtone...!
My question is: how do I get the ringtone back on my iPhone?!

I had done all of that to no avail. I did call Apple Tech Support and after he suggested I try a USB port in the rear of the Win 7 computer, things starting working again. I had tried switching the USB port at the front of the machine but that had not helped. Everything is good to go again. thanks for your reply

User library has disappeared when viewing with finder

I saved a Pages file as a template and it saved it in user/library/application support/iwork/templates/my templates. When I try to follow this path with Finder there is no library folder under my user name.
Any ideas?

After noticing it missing in the finder, I checked the terminal and found the ~Library where it should be. Thought I'd check to see if anyone else was missing it, and if it could/should be made visible; but why the "@"? I thought that stood for symbolic link.

Purchased app on iPhone - disappeared when synced with itunes

I purchased an app on my phone a couple weeks ago. Today I synced with iTunes on my PC and the app disappeared from my phone and does not appear in the list of apps in iTunes. "Check for available downloads" in iTunes said that I had no available downloads. The purchase of the app did show up in my purchase history, but that seemed to be the only place.
I was able to get the app back by attempting to purchase it again, at which point iTunes allowed me to download it again for free. However, all of the application data is still gone. And since I synced more than once in this process, the initial iPhone backup (which should have contained all that was lost) has now been overwritten.
This has happened to me several times before, but this is the first time where the application data has been important.
Any ideas as to what went wrong?
Is there any hope for me to recover my application data at this point?
Any way for me to prevent this happening again? (short of never syncing...)

I doubt very much that you can recover the data at this point. The safe way to do things (I found for me at least) is download apps initially via iTunes instead of your phone, then mark them for syncing and do the normal sync. I purchased all of my apps this way and sync several times a week with no problem. I also do all the app updates thru iTunes.

"Invisible" status , disappeared when used with Jabber or Bonjour ?

Does anyone know if the "Invisible" status option is available in Jabber ? cause it's just not there.
could it be available only in AIM accounts ?

There are reports that some Jabber Clients can do Invisibility but they have not put it in to iChat yet.

SCOM 2012 SP1 Can't get email alerts for Heartbeat Failure or Computer Unreachable when combined with Group.

I have SCOM 2012 SP1 RTM POC lab. I have created a dynamic group that picks up my system center servers based on some simple criteria and this works fine.
I have set up a subscription for critical and high severity alerts originating from this dynamic group called SCOM Servers to send emails to a distribution. This also worked well for any critical alert that was NOT Heartbeat Failure or Computer Unreachable.
I see those in the console but no email.
So I set up a new subscription by right clicking on the alerts and here's the kicker. If add no other conditions to these subscriptions, they will send emails to the DL I provided, but if add the condition initiating from group, and specify my dynamic
group SCOM servers, no email alert. But the alert still appears in the console.
Any ideas on this? I would like the appropriate support groups to get these types of alerts for the servers that they support (i.e. SCOM will get SCOM servers, Exchange Admin will get Exchange and never the two roads shall meet.).
I even tried some internet posted custom management pack, but I couldn't import it after adding the code that he listed.
I mean, isn't this a basic requirement for any mid-sized company?

Like Dan says you need to add the "Health Service Watcher" objects to the groups as wel. Unfortunately this cannot be done in the Dynamic group Editor but has to be done in the XML. Export the XML and add the following piece of code between the
