Muse Phone Layout Issues

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could please help me.
When I view my website on my phone layout and I double tap anywhere it zooms in on the whole site and all navigation is lost and the site styling goes crazy. Could you please provide an answer?

Sorry, just realized I lost track of this thread...
I spoke with my coworker who did the majority of the implementation for Scroll Effects and the news wasn't good. This problem with double click zoom on iOS was something he was aware of. Apparently we tried a lot of different methods for disabling double tap zoom on iOS, but everything we tried has ramifications that were worse, and more easily encountered, than the double click zoom behavior you're seeing.
He's going to take another look at alternatives for improving this particular case for a future release, but at this point I don't have a solution or workaround for you, short of not using Scroll Motion on your phone layout, which would mean allowing the menu to scroll off screen.

I think Verizon does have a responsibility to set a standard whereby the cellphone manufactures, that Verizon contracts to partner with, are obligated to maintain the quality of the OS. Customers are charged close to $1,000 each year for Verizon service and in return Verizon does not hold cellphone companies, whom we have to deal with, accountable for terrible service. Phone layout redirect not working - built and hosted on Muse

Hi,
I just added a tablet and phone layout to my Muse built desktop layout. The redirect works fine for the tablet but the desktop version comes up on my smartphone (Android Moto X). The webpage is http://www.elegantperfection.com/ I am hosting with Adobe so I just hit Publish - I do not use Publish to FTP. The settings in site properties are set to redirect; not sure if there is another step but it seems to work fine for the tablet. Any ideas as to why the redirect is not working? Thanks!

I created a website and a phone version with Adobe Muse. In order to add schema tags, I downloaded Dreamweaver and edited the website. Will these tags remain if I edit the site with muse again? Does Dreamweaver have to download the phone layout separately

Also, I want to add Schema tags to the Muse master page copy, particularly serviceArea tags, but I'm not seeing the elements in Dreamweaver. Where are elements from the master found in Dreamweaver?

I checked the first site, and there is no phone/tablet layout. On My phone, you desktop version appears fine.
regarding second site, I see the phone layout with template content, so I doubt, if you have deleted the phone layout folder from the server, but did not delete the layout in Muse file. Hence when you publish the site again, the folder was created again.
could you please confirm this, so I can test it further.

Pinning items in a phone layout in Muse

I created a desktop version of my site. But in creating my phone layout, it will not let me pin my background, logo or menu on the Master plan. The pinning tool stays grayed out. Any particular reason for that?

Due to lack of support on some tablet and smartphone browsers, pinning is disabled in Muse for tablet and smartphone layouts.
You might see in this feature in future releases of Adobe Muse.

Mobile/Phone Layout Preview Issue

Hi all,
I've just made my first attempt at a basic layout on a master page for the mobile version of a site I'm working on, but when I go to Preview mode things just aren't displaying properly...
I have a tiled background image, a header with a logo and an image where my menu button will likely go, and in the footer I have social media icons and a copyright notice (though this will likely change). The page is blank but has rounded corners and a gradient fill. That's it so far. Sounds simple, right? Everything's centrally aligned and all lined up to what SHOULD be the left and right hand sides of the browser window, yet when I go to Preview mode, EVERYTHING seems to shift to the left for some reason? And I assume that since I can't see the footer content in Preview mode, that the user would have to scroll to see this? Which, in itself is odd since I haven't stretched the standard page height...?

Can anyone advise on anything I'm doing wrong, or whether or not this is a bug? I tried this in v3.1 prior to the latest update (I'd stayed on 3.1 for a while!), and it did this, so I decided to update to v4 just in case it was a bug in 3.1, but the same thing is occurring. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?
Ideally I want to have the finished desktop version, and both a smartphone and tablet version of this site go live at the same time, in 3 days' time, so any swift help would be greatly appreciated.

By looking at the guides in the first screenshot, it appears that in order to reveal the Browser Fill area on a phone layout, you have dragged the Top of Page guide down by a few pixels and brought the Header guide to overlap it. Similarly, you have dragged the Bottom of Browser guide down a little lower to reveal the Browser Fill area at the bottom and overlapped the Footer guide with the Bottom of Page guide (or the other way around). Doing so doesn't increase the Min height for the page but makes the overall height of the content area large enough to cause the bottom area to hide when using the smaller iPhone 4 Preview (like in your case). If you switch to iPhone 5 Preview and other larger devices, you might be able to preview the cropped area.
However, please note that the Preview mode for Phone and Tablet layouts do not emulate actual device behaviours and in order to test them, it is recommended to publish the mobile pages to a webhost and test on actual mobile devices.

Please help, my phone layout will not load by default.

I created a phone layout for my website, but it is not loading on the iPhone 5 (using Safari)- unfortunately I don't have another type of device to test it on. If I manually enter "device=phone" instead of "device=desktop" it loads the correct format, but it will not load unless I do that. I tried it in 2 different iPhones, one of which had not previously visited my site, and it's a persistent issue. I am considering deleting the site via business catalyst and then publishing it again fresh to kind of reset things, but I'm new to Muse/Business Catalyst/Web Design in general so I'm concerned that might be overkill and might cause other issues. Any advice on further troubleshooting would be much appreciated.

Update: I just tried re-publishing the site making sure "all files" was checked instead of "modified files" but that didn't help either :/

No problem, here is a shot of my plan mode in Muse for both versions, so you can see how it's supposed to work. The issue is less important on some pages than others, like it's a big issue on the illustration and resume page, its difficult (kind of impossible) to access all the content on those without the proper layout. Also, I did get confirmation through some other people that it is definitely not working properly on their devices.

Problem with phone layout when I insert the Accordion widget ( since iOS8 )

The problem appears after I insert the Accordion widget. The phone scales down the entire site, and there are no "lost" or hidden objects in the project. ( screenshot attached ) . This layout worked well before the second October Muse update.
I have tried a totally new basic website and had the same problem. The accordion takes the screen width. I have tried to make it smaller then the phone layout, but it remains small.

Basic Composition Widget HIDE TARGET on CLICK not working on PHONE layout?

Hi all this relates to behaviour with basic Composition widget when in PHONE layout - When all elements set to HIDE TARGET on CLICK in the PHONE layout a 'click' on the target does not hide it...
APPLICATION
Using a basic composition widget [single trigger] for the PHONE menu drop down.
Everything works except clicking on an item in the target area does not hide the target.
Important because I am kinking to anchors on the same page - the links all work - the page scrolls behind the menu!
It's PHONE so can't use Hide on "Roll Out"

You would need to make sure that all the containers (Targets and Triggers and the Container inside which the Triggers reside) have a reduced width in order to have a reduced width of the whole slideshow.

Phone layout differs when FTP uploaded to third party host.

I've created a site in Muse which previews perfectly on the phone layout, even previews perfectly when uploaded to my Catalyst site.
However, when up loaded to a third party site, rather than fitting to the width and scrolling, it reduces the design to the full height of the page. Please can anyone advise?

Desktop version appears fine on my mac, just issues viewing on iPhone. I've tried uploading with Muse's inbuilt "upload to ftp host" and exported as html and uploaded manually with fetch: same issues occur.

Can't insert custom HTML or change social widgets to update Phone layout

MUSE 2014.2.1.10, CL 787362 on Windows 8.1 i7 processor 24 GB RAM
Anytime I try to insert custom HTML in the phone layout pages I get a window that says webpage could not be found in a window that is too wide for the screen size and can't be re-sized!!!
I am adding scripts, inline css and custom form code. Need to republish changes and can't on mobile layout. Its local code but I get The webpage cannot be found error!!! It also does this with the built in social widgets.... The code is there in the page on export but you can't preview and since I can't resize the box to 380px wide ( it jumps back open) it throws off my layout when export page.   This is not just custom HTML but upon changing or adding any of the built in social widgets such as Google maps, Facebook or other social media. Forms, buttons, menus and compositions no problems... they work just as they normally would.
Preview mode just gives me the whole page as blank when I try to preview the page in Muse. HELP I need to update the address and the form to match the desktop site but the error is persistent! and undo does not revert it back to previous content I just get the webpage cannot be found box even on undo!!!!

The SECOND picture in my previous post IS THE PREVIEW... NOTHING appears when I try to view the page in phone view!!!!

DISQUS BUG COMES WHEN USING SCROLL EFFECTS ON PHONE LAYOUT

There are two bugs i have discovered when applying the disqus html code on a phone layout
1. if you have FIXED an item say above where you place the html code snippet from disqus - the widget loads ok BUT when you try to enter it the scroll goes crazy and it doesn't work - to the best of my knowledge changing LAYERS and putting the DISQUS code on one layer alone doesn't solve anything
2. Adobe muse somehow picks p the DESKTOP version of DISQUS instead of the MOBILE LAYOUT version as you see on most websites - this is really annoying even putting the code from disqus to enable mobile in the header does nothing for me

yes disqus loads ok on the desktop layout the scroll effects doesn't bother it - it is just on a phone layout things get crazy - if someone has managed to do a mobile website with a fixed scroll effects item above a disqus widget i would be so interested to look at it.

Adobe Muse Phone Site Problem

Hello Im making and phone site and i export it the size of the page is way off but the desktop site is perfectly as designed
I don't see any problems with the design anyone think they can help me out.

yep it looks like it because of items that are extending past the page. See screen shots. Note Image frame of logo- crop images so it fits on page, Also saw some areas of text boxes extending past the edges. Don't treat the grey area of Muse like a pasteboard as in Illustrator or Indesign, assume all content is live.
on Phone layout I'd recommend either utilizing the margins or zeroing them out (photo below brings page content within your margins - also had some text boxes extending past the page. You had scroll effect on phone as well - Personal choice but I prefer not to use at this time on phone layouts it can be a bit jumpy.
Oh one more thing check your header on you tablet page template you have your menu content floating between the header and body.

Adding phone layout to existing desktop site - No scratch page created

Trying to make a phone version of site created in muse but no scratch page is created in desktop plan after adding phone layout. Ideas?
