Must startup clock equal configuration clock?

Hi,
I have a Virtex-6 configured from platform flash in selectMap slave (external clock), configuration clock provided to both by an on-board clock generator (40Mhz, must be fast for PCIE <100ms config time).
Often, the FPGA done bit goes high (external LED...) , everything is OK (read status register via IMPACT)  except :
[5] GTS_CFG_B STATUS : 0
Signal integrity on CCLK is OK (checked with scope).
Bit file generated using default options.
A local AFE suggested setting the StartupClk option to UserClk.
Question: must the start-up clock be the same as the configuration clock? why?
could this explain the intermittent failures I'm seeing?
thanks in advance, Gal.

Since you are doing the configuration in slave mode, the CCLK will not be generated by the config logic.

    Hey Kenneth,
    So it sounds as if your iPad is not responding at all when you try to turn it on, is that correct? If so, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
    If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support
    If you get it to start up and it is still not recognized by iTunes on your Mac, use the steps in this article to troubleshoot that issue -
    If you don't see your connected device in iTunes for Mac - Apple Support
    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Happy computing,

  • Cannot determine Clusterware startup order from configuration

    Just started reading up on Clusterware. I'm used to systems like VCS where you explicilty linked all resources in a graphical tree. Now that I've finished my first RAC installation I'm finding it tough to determine the startup order of resources in Clusterware via command line tool inspection.
    Are there some implicit rules that I'm missing? I presume all my nodeapps are started up first?
    $ORA_CRS_HOME/bin/srvctl status nodeapps -n rac1
    VIP is running on node: rac1
    GSD is running on node: rac1
    Listener is running on node: rac1
    ONS daemon is running on node: rac1
    After that I have tried linking everything together using crs_stat -p | egrep "NAME|REQUIRED_RESOURCES"
    1. No dependancies
    NAME=ora.racX.gsd
    NAME=ora.racX.ons
    NAME=ora.racX.vip
    NAME=ora.mydb.MYDB_BASIC_TAF.cs
    NAME=ora.mydb.MYDB_BASIC_TAF.mydb2.srv
    NAME=ora.mydb.MYDB_NO_TAF.cs
    NAME=ora.mydb.MYDB_NO_TAF.mydb1.srv
    NAME=ora.mydb.db
    2. Dependancies on VIP
    NAME=ora.racX.ASMx.asm
    REQUIRED_RESOURCES=ora.racX.vip
    NAME=ora.racX.ASM_RACx.lsnr
    REQUIRED_RESOURCES=ora.racX.vip
    NAME=ora.racX.LISTENER_RACx.lsnr
    REQUIRED_RESOURCES=ora.racX.vip
    3. Dependancies on ASM
    NAME=ora.mydb.mydb1.inst
    REQUIRED_RESOURCES=ora.rac1.vip ora.rac1.ASM1.asm
    NAME=ora.mydb.mydb2.inst
    REQUIRED_RESOURCES=ora.rac2.vip ora.rac2.ASM2.asm
    What's throwing me off is the following in group 1...
    NAME=ora.mydb.MYDB_BASIC_TAF.cs
    NAME=ora.mydb.MYDB_BASIC_TAF.mydb2.srv
    NAME=ora.mydb.MYDB_NO_TAF.cs
    NAME=ora.mydb.MYDB_NO_TAF.mydb1.srv
    NAME=ora.mydb.db
    I don't get to see the object type of the aforementioned resources using crs_stat -p but it must be registered somewhere as when I walk through $ORA_CRS_HOME/bin/srvctl status database|service|nodeapps|asm I can see the different object groups.
    Is there an implicit startup hierarchy via object types?
    Also I am getting "CRS-0181: Cannot access the resource profile 'ora.rac1.ASM1.asm'" errors when I try to use crs_profile -print with resource names obtained via crs_stat. What am I doing wrong.
    Apologies if have missed a key Oracle document or concept in my haste; please feel free to point me towards it if so.

    The resource *.db will come up as soon as an *.inst is started.
    Therefore the dependency on the *.inst is neither required (since only 1 has to be up), nor optional (since minimum 1 has to be up). This information cannot be seen in the OCR.
    A service always depends on the *.db resp. *.inst service based on the hosting members. However since a "service" can failover to another node (available) this is also some weeker dependency than required but more then optional. Therefore also not directly displayed, but you get a connection via. the Hosting Members.
    So you get an implicit connection:
    A service (*.cs) requires a service member (*.srv) to be up.
    A (*.srv) requires a *.inst to be up. Since the service information are also in the database (dba_services). And the *.db needs an *.inst to be up.
    To get you more confused the ASM dependency on the VIP is removed with 10.2.0.3 also. More Information on that: Note 401783.1: Changes in Oracle Clusterware after applying 10.2.0.3 Patchset.
    Now to your error: I definitely would recommend opening a service request, if you get this error as root user, since you may have an error in the OCR. If it is oracle user see if the oracle user is in group oinstall and your ocr disk has root:oinstall 660.

  • IMAP + POP service stops after startup. Cannot configure params in shell

    Hello,
    Just bought a MacMini, with 10.6.4 server. However, I cannot make POP nor IMAP services to work. They stop after startup. SMTP works fine though.
    How do I troubleshoot? The graphical 'Mail Configure Service...' does not make the IMAP service start.
    I cannot change the mail parameters via command line.
    For example:
    $ sudo serveradmin set mail:imap:enable_imap = no /yes is ignored.

    By manually reseting the variables in the file, mail started with IMAP and POP running,
    I trust this is a bug in the serveradmin .app
    Here is the garbled file:
    ----sslcertfile variable could not be reset by serveradmin, it apparently appended data instead of overwriting:

  • Wi-Fi Connection Issue at Startup When NAS configured as Login Item

    Hi!
    I recently ran into internet connection issue during startup. I managed to find the culprit (it's the firewall) but I believe there should be more behind just blaming the firewall for it.
    Before I go any further, it would be best if I try to explain the setup that I have. Also, note that I'm a newbie when it comes to terms like DHCP, IP address, IPv4, IPv6, etc. I think I may have an idea what they do, but I'm not quite sure whether that idea jibes with the real thing. Whatever. Anyways, here's the setup.
    For the internet connection at my place, I use a Cisco wifi router and an Airport Extreme Base Station. The Cisco router has been set up to have its own wi-fi network, while the Airport Extreme Base Station is connected to the Cisco router using ethernet. I set up a separate wi-fi network for the Airport Extreme Base Station and almost all of my devices are connected using the Airport Extreme's wi-fi network.
    I have 3 external hard drives connected to a USB hub, which in turn is connected to the Airport Extreme base station.
    2 Macbooks. One is a white, late 2007 MacBook running Lion. The other is a MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion. I turned the firewall on for both Macbooks.
    Initially, there was no problem connecting to the internet and also the 3 external hard drives from the Airport Extreme. I did the wireless connecting to the external hard drives manually after startup (open finder > navigate to airport extreme at the sidebar > click on the hard drives one by one until the eject icon and folders are shown). You can imagine how soon this got annoying for me (yeah, I shutdown my macbooks everytime I finish with them, it's a habit). So I put these external hard drives as a login item at startup (in the system preference setting for accounts) so that I won't have to do this everytime I start my macbooks.
    This is where it got interesting.
    For my MBPro, during startup the wi-fi icon at the menu bar will show that it was trying to connect and then the '!' symbol is shown. When I go to system preference > network, there was a message about self-assigned IP. I notice that it starts with 169, which is not the usual IP assigned to devices in my home network. This, however, usually did not last long. Soon enough the '!' symbol is gone and the wi-fi connection becomes normal with finder windows popping up showing folders for the external drives. It's a minor annoyance, waiting for the '!' symbol to go away (I think it got something to do with DHCP settings sent from the router and the self-assigned IP address, but again I'm not sure), but at least the MBPro can connect in the end.
    For my white MB though, things didn't go well. The '!' remains in the wi-fi icon and there was no internet connection, no matter how long I waited. Even after removing the external drives from login items the problem persists during startup. If I remember correctly sometimes there is a pop-up saying that the computer could not connect to the airport extreme server (this also happens on the MBPro).
    I initially tried resetting the wi-fi setup (removing the network from the list of known network in system preference > network, removing the wi-fi network password from keychain access) to no avail (in both macbooks). As mentioned above, I also tried to remove the network hard drives from login item but even after that the connection problem persisted in my white Macbook, while the MBPro initially showed the same symptom before finally managing to connect with the proper IP address.
    Finally, after googling through forums some people suggested that turning off the firewall might work. I did so, and voila, it did remedy the situation. Both Macbooks manage to connect to the internet during startup without any fuss, and both even manage to connect to the network drives during startup (I put them in again as login items to see if it would cause further trouble).
    So, the firewall was the culprit. But it only started acting up AFTER I put the network drives as login items.
    Can anyone explain the cause of this?
    Anyways, thanks for reading!

    Make sure you are using the passkey found on the Homehub and not your email password. You may need to "Forget" the connection on the phone and scan again then enter passkey.

  • 1760 tdm clock configuration problem

    I need
    Router(config)# tdm clock E1 0/0 both export line
    Router(config)# tdm clock E1 0/1 both import E1 0/0 line
    And I cannot enter command {tdm clock E1 0/1 both import E1 0/0 line}. Error message {% E1 data switch not available for this configuration}. Why?

    check out the following conditions before configuring TDM clock:
    * BRI interfaces should be shut down before using the no tdm clock command for BRI.
    * The configuration for a ds0/pri/channel/tdm group on a T1/E1 must be removed before deleting the TDM clock configuration for T1/E1.
    * Any residual or default TDM clock configuration must be deleted before creating a new TDM clock configuration.
    * If an export port is configured, the line protocol must be up before configuring any import ports.
    * On a Cisco 1751 or Cisco 1760 router, if one port is configured as export, all other ports must be configured as imports.
    * An export port clock can be turned off only after all the import ports (including BRI-auto ports) are turned off.
    * The configured TDM clock and the status of the running TDM clock might be different, depending on the line conditions and connections.

  • Can I use a substitute for the Sample Clock?

    I have three different analog inputs coming from one device (PCI-6221).  Two inputs are running at the same sample rate while the third needs a faster sample rate and a trigger.  I have these seperated as two seperate tasks but my problem is they both use the sample clock.  Can I use a substitute for the sample clock on the third channel?
    I am running LabVIEW 8.2 on Windows XP.
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Ron Deavers, CLD

    Hi programmindragon,
    I understand you are trying to
    configure your PCI-6221 to sample on multiple channels, while having
    different rates and triggers for the channels. Unfortunately, you can
    only configure one analog input task to run at once and all the channels in
    the task must share the same configurations, including the sample clock
    and trigger. This is due to the fact that all the channels are
    multiplexed to a single amplifier and ADC on the device. Thus, you will
    not be able to configure the two inputs at one rate and use a different
    clock rate and trigger for the third input. Is it possible to sample at the
    maximum rate on all channels and decimate the data that you don't need on the certain
    channels, as well as share the same type of triggering? Hopefully you will be able to run your application with the same configuration across multiple channels, otherwise you may need multiple DAQ devices. Please let me know if you have any further questions related to this issue.
    Regards,
    Daniel S.

  • Setup external clock

    I just bought a GENx192 by lucid. I was having problems with the projectmix and my audio. So I went and picked up a better clock. But now Im wondering how to hook it all up. I have it hooked up I think. But do I have to set the sample rate on both the GENx and in logic or if I have it sync right should I be able to just set the GENx and Logic should change also. Thanks.
    I cant remember the name of the cable that I use but its a monster cable and it is the right one thats for sure.

    I have an iMac (Intel) running Tiger 10.4.11 and when I have a digital input to this Mac I can see the signal is going in on the input meter in the iMac. But the clock source "default" is greyed out. But it must be clocking to this audiio... I figure... otherwise it would not sync to it. When I remove this input I cannot select external/digital clocking. When I connect a firewire digital audio interface and select properties for it I can select clocking for it either internal or digital.
    But my real problem is on a Mac Pro running Leopard 10.5.3. On this Mac it seems to me that I cannot select external or digital clocking under any conditions.
    And I am wondering if a change has been from Tiger to Leopard such that there is no option to select digital/external clocking for audio. That is the crux of my question?

  • PI 2.0 configuration archive problems

    Hi,
    I've got 2 problems with archiving device configurations in Prime Infrastructure 2.0.
    1. Configuration archive job status is Completed and Last run status is Success
    Looking at Configuration archive results, I see this:
    Fetch Running: Success
    Fetch Startup: Success
    Fetch VLAN: Unsupported operation
    Fetch Modules: N/A
    Archive: Success
    It's a Cisco 7200 router.
    Looking at its Configuration archive, I can see just the running config. Startup config is missing.
    2. Configuration archive job status is Completed and Last run status is Partial-Success
    Looking at Configuration archive results, I see this:
    Fetch Running: Success
    Fetch Startup: Success
    Fetch VLAN: Unsupported operation
    Fetch Modules: N/A
    Archive: Error in archiving for device '3663756'
    It's a Cisco 6500 FWSM.
    Looking at its Configuration archive, I can't see anything, it says 'No data available'. Both running and startup configs are missing.
    Do you have some ideas what is wrong here, why can't I see the configurations?

    I've found the reason why this is happening. In the case when startup and running configs are identical (disregarding lines like 'last configuration change', 'ntp clock-period',...), Prime doesn't show startup config under Configuration Archive, it
    just shows the running config.

    and i find many people have met the same thing. But they are spartan  series FPGA and i try to low the Resistances of Mode pins,M0 M1 and M2, but the problem does not been solved.
    I have read the status Registers and find there is an over-temperature state
    and in Impact i could not readback the registers. It is strange.
    I am anxious about this problem and have not solved it yet
    What reasons may it be?
    Hope for your answer, thank you

    Hi~I want to know if you solve the configuration problem for virtex-6?
    As I encounter the  same configuration problem, I want to consult  you with some question.
    Can I have your email?
    gszakacs wrote:
    I have measured the VCCINT and find it is 1.0V, not 2.997V;
    That is not at all surprising.  I always assumed the problem is with reading the XADC (system monitor) block and not with the voltage or temperature.
    my Reference board is ML605
    That would have been nice to know at the beginning...
    It seems that you have selected the correct mode, assuming your jumpers are set as required in the ML605 Hardware User's Guide.  See table 1-27, table 1-33 and the note below it about switch S1.
    I'm not that familiar with the details of this reference design, but it may be that the slave SelectMap circuitry requires a reset or power cycle to actually configure the FPGA.  Have you tried power-cycling to see if the FPGA boots from the flash?
    I'd also suggest that you select the V6 in the JTAG chain view, then go to the debug menu of Impact and select Read Device Status (this is from memory, but it's something like that).  That will not only show the bits of the configuration status register, but also describe what each bit means.  Among other things you can check the state of the FPGA's configuration logic and the Mode pins.

  • Question about model driven dev and RDS configuring

    I am testing the model driven development that is brought up by Flash Builder4 and LCDS3 recently, and it went pretty well. However i've noticed that the configuration of the RDS for development mode is not recommanded for a production environment.
    My first quetion is can I simply disable the RDS on the server when I want to deploy my app to a production environment and still be able to use all of the features such as data management service and remote service etc.? I've tried to do so but it gave me a 404 page. I felt it was a little bit confusing when you know you DO have a html template located in the right location. If RDS can be disabled without interfering the functionality of the app, where can I find a doc to follow?
    My second question is if the RDS is a must, then how to configure the security setting? I knew some of the requirements by visiting this url:http://help.adobe.com/en_US/LiveCycleDataServicesES/3.1/Developing/WS6822bf3ec1c7b2e9-30fb 9b22126b9ca84aa-8000.html,
    however, when I followed the steps and test it, I got a 400 error in FB4 RDS configuration page.
    Since I am testing this under Tomcat 5.5, I am not sure where should I put the flex-tomcat-common.jar and flex-tomcat-server.jar file in, cause the dir structure of Tomcat 5.5 is a little bit different than that of Tomcat 6.0. Then I put these files under both of the tomcat 5.5\common\lib folder and the tomcat 5.5\server\lib folder. I've doubled checked the the catalina.properties file which is located under tomcat5.5\conf folder and I see the following environment param has been there : ${catalina.home}/common/lib/*.jar.
    The other configuration I made that differs from the doc was: I put <valve classname="flex.messaging.security.TomcatValve"></valve> into the context.xml, which is under the folder Tomcat 5.5/conf. Since I put the Resource definition in the same file, I guess this should not be the problem.
    Does anyone has any successful experience on setting this up?
    Any hint will be appreciated.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
    I solved my first problem, it was because I accidentally commented out part of the RDS configuration and left the servlet-mapping part un-commented. After I generate all the client and server codes and re-deploy them to the environment, I finally got my running demo with RDS disabled.
    For the second problem, I am still stucking in. I've tried to switch to the Tomcat 6.0 and follow both of the LCDS installation doc and the LCDS3.1_using doc. None could work me out. I constantly get the error message said that "The RDS server was successfully contacted, but your security credentials were invalid". So after struggling a whole day, I found the following statement, which is appeared in the ColdFusion configuraton doc:"Note: If you are using ColdFusion MX 7 or earlier, the message "The RDS server was successfully contacted, but your security credentials were invalid," appears. The message indicates that the password was not validated, even if it is correct. Click OK to close the message. ". That's interesting cause it seems it was exact the situation I was encountered. However, in my case, ignoring the error message does not give me a successful RDS connection.
    For your information, I am pasting the configurations I had on my machine and maybe some ppl could give me a correction.

  • Verifying Server Connection in Configuration Manager

    I am trying to deploy ES3 on Weblogic 10.3.6 and am having a problem with Configuration Manager. When I Verify Server Connection, the CM spins for a bit then comes back with a ALC-LCM-100-011 error, Cannot Connect to Application Server.
    In the CM log there is this:
    com.adobe.livecycle.cdv.CDVInternalException[ALC-LCM-100-011]: Cannot connect to application server.
    Application server host or port may be invalid.
    Caused by: java.io.IOException: Unable to resolve 'weblogic.management.mbeanservers.domainruntime'. Resolved 'weblogic.management.mbeanservers'
    I know the info is correct, in fact when I intentionally use a wrong password or account the CM immediately returns that the info is wrong.
    My WL architecture has a WL domain with distributed development and staging managed servers (no clusters). The Admin server is standalone, as are the two managed servers. I am attempting to install on one of the managed servers.
    Any hints here? Thanks!

    See the link http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/10.0/PrepareInstallSingle/WS624e3cba99b79e1229e967b2 12eea97f932-7ffe.html . It has the below text :-
    Two primary startup scenarios are available for WebLogic:
    Using Node Manager and configuring through the Administration Server (recommended)
    Directly starting the Managed Servers with configurations in the StartManagedWebLogic scripts
    To use the automatic configuration features of Configuration Manager (the recommended option), you must use the Node Manager and configure through the Administration Server.
    If you are directly starting the Managed Servers, you can still use the automatic configuration features of Configuration Manager. However, you must manually enter the Configuration Manager changes into the StartManagedWebLogic scripts. For the appropriate steps, see Installing and Deploying LiveCycle for WebLogic .
    I think, if you want to use configuration manager for authomatically configuring the managed servers, you have to supply the admin server port while verifying the connection for weblogic server.

  • Startup class cannot find a config file.

    I have written a startup class to configure log4j in Weblogic.
    The class runs but cannot find the configuration file. The
    code for the startup class is as follows....
    package com.n2bb.ams.common.util;
    import java.io.FileInputStream;
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.net.URL;
    import java.util.Properties;
    import com.n2bb.ams.common.util.FileLocator;
    import org.apache.log4j.xml.DOMConfigurator;

         * ApplicationStartUp constructor comment.
         public ApplicationStartUp() {
              super();
         * setServices method comment.
         public void setServices(weblogic.common.T3ServicesDef arg1) {
         * startup method comment.
         public String startup(String arg1, java.util.Hashtable arg2) throws Exception {
              String resource = null;
              try {
                   resource = (String) arg2.get("configFileName");
                   System.out.println("ConfigFileName: " + resource);
                   URL configFileResource = ApplicationStartUp.class.getResource(resource);
                   System.out.println("configFileResource: " + configFileResource.toString());
                   String file = configFileResource.getFile();
                   DOMConfigurator.configure(file);
                   return "Log4j configuration initialized completed.";
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   System.out.println("Cannot open config file: " + resource);
                   return "Log4j configuration failed to initialized.";
    The section of the config.xml the calls my startup class looks
    like....
    <StartupClass
    Arguments="configFileName=/bea/user_projects/mydomain/log4j-config.xml"
    ClassName="com.n2bb.ams.common.util.ApplicationStartUp"
    Name="AMS Startup Class" Targets="myserver"/>
    I have tested the code in a standalone class and it works fine.
    Why can't I find the log4j-config.xml file? Any help would be
    greatly appreciated.

    Wow, your system must have a long history of having picked up assorted bad stuff ...
    You have CleanMyMac2, which should definitely be removed.
    You have other stuff (MacCleanse, for example) that I don't have first-hand knowledge about but should very likely be removed.
    You are using Google Chrome which is a resource hog.
    Further, your Adobe Flash player is not current.
    If I had all these issues, I would do a clean install of Yosemite and only reintroduce the essential stuff.
    You can search for the .plist files by opening finder, holding down the Option key, and doing Go > Library from Finder's menu and then searching for the file(s).
