Mutiplication result is wrong in query

Hello All,
I created a multiprovider on inventory cube (0IC_C03) and 0COPC_C08 and i created caluacleted keyfigures using the CKF1: key figure 0TOTSTCK (total Quantity) and CKF2: price( Variable amount+fixed amount)/Lot size).
CKF3: 0TOTSTCK * PRICE
i am getting wrong result for CKF3. ( when i multiply using the caluclator and the result i am getting is different)
Please tell me whats would be the problem ( 0T0TSTCK is non cumulative key figure)
Thanks,
Sneha

Hello All,
Below is the example that i am getting wrong multiplication value

  • Total result  & formula result  is wrong in query out put

    Hi BW gurus
I have issue with total result and formula result
    my requirement
Formula for hours is ( total time / Counter / 60)
    hours  column displaying
       14.2
         2.4
         3.4
    Total -
5.6   not  20    then I setp calculate results to SUM  now total displying 20  perfect.
Then I am using hours colum for calculation   here is my issue
Qty rec per hour formula is = received / Hour
Hours   Qty rec per hour          received
    14.2              100                            14200
    2..4               100                              2400
    3.4                100                              3400
20                 300                              20000        result column for qty rec per hour is wrong . formula is not working on result for qty rec per hour
Actually qty rec per hour result should be 20000/20  = 1000
    How to resolve this issue
    Thanks
    Rohan

    Hi BW Gurus,
    Thanks for your help .
Let me explain my issue with examples :
My report is by document date level ( Not at Po or PO line Level)
    I have a 3 Key figures
    1.  Hour -  is poulation at  PO Line level
    Ex :  4500001    1             5.30
                             2            5.30
                             3            5.30
Then I am using counter to get single for time
Hour/ Count  now my value is 5.30 in the report . hour column is perfect
    2. Po Qty  is fine
    3.  Qty Recd per hour ( Calculation)    PO QTy / Hour
Now the issue is  each row caluculating perfect . but result row is not correct  Qty Received per hour . We don"t wont  sum of  Qty received per hour in result . We want  Caluclation result in the result
    Here is the issue
If I have multiple POs for same document date  , each row is fine but system using division at Hour result also by COunter . because of thati am getting wrong hours in result for hour . this wrong result is using for Poqty receved per hour result  also .
I put total for hour coulum result is perfect but for clauclation it is talking total hours/ total conter result .How to replace result caluculating by counter .This is our major issue .
    Appriciate your response
    Thanks

  • How can I pass/add these results in my Main query's column

    Hello Experts
I’m working on a subquery. My subquery works fine and give the results what I need. But how can I pass/add these results in my Main query’s column ‘MGRNAME’. Here is my query
    select pc.c_id "Project ID",
cn.c_id "Client ID", cn.c_last "Last Name", cn.c_first "First Name",
pj.mgr_id "Manager ID", pj.project_name "Project", MGRNAME
    from project_consultant pc
    join consultant cn
    on (pc.c_id = cn.c_id)
    join project pj
    on (pc.p_id = pj.p_id)
    where lower(cn.c_last) = 'myers'
    and MGRNAME in
    ( select concat (substr(c_last,1,20),
    substr(c_first,1,20))
    as MGRNAME from consultant
    where c_id in (102, 103)
When I run the above query I got error.
    Thanks a lot on advance

I’ve join three tables to get the information about I need. I got everything working expert one part. The subquery
    ( select concat (substr(c_last,1,20),
    substr(c_first,1,20))
    as MGRNAME from consultant
    where c_id in (102, 103)
Gives me the names of employees I need. The output comes 2 names. I’m trying to add these 2 names in my main query and show the results but I got the following error
    Error at Command Line:11 Column:4
    Error report:
SQL Error: ORA-00904: "MGRNAME": invalid identifier
    00904. 00000 - "%s: invalid identifier"

I can understand there is something wrong with MGRNAME field but not sure what it is. Can somebody point it out?
Once again this is main query with single sub query
    select pc.c_id "Project ID",
cn.c_id "Client ID", cn.c_last "Last Name", cn.c_first "First Name",
    pj.mgr_id "Manager ID", pj.project_name "Project",

    where lower(cn.c_last) = 'myers'
    and MGRNAME in
    ( select concat (substr(c_last,1,20),
    substr(c_first,1,20))
    as MGRNAME from consultant
    where c_id in (102, 103)

  • Multiplying UDF resulted in wrong amount in Total (LC)

    Dear All,
I really need your help to solve my problem.
I created two UDF which are Qty (field type is Quantity) and Price (field type is Price). These UDFs appear in document with the type Service. I create a query which is :
    declare @Qty numeric(11)
    set @Qty = $[$39.U_Qty.0]
    SELECT @Qty * $[$39.U_Price.0] As Price
And then I created formatted search in Total(LC) in document with type service using that query.
The problem is, the query sometime result in wrong amount (for example : Qty = 0.5 and the Price = 1000, the query is resulting in 1000 which is the correct amount is 500).
Please help me to solve this problem.
    Thank you

Change your declaration of  "declare @Qty numeric(11)"  as
    declare @Qty numeric(19,6)

  • Uploading photos from PC to Photo library results in wrong date/time

Uploading photos to iCloud photo library using icloud.com will result in wrong date/time of the photos, which is, to be precise, 15 hours later than the actual time in EXIF. Thanks in advance.

iTunes is not a photo management program, never has been.
Delete the pictures (or remove them from the folder that syncs).  This has absolutely nothing to do with iTunes.
If the Photo tab is not displaying in iTunes, resize the window.

Thanks in advance.Do you really mean that?
select col1 from table1 where col1='5';That query will always return either '5' or nothing. Whatever you're trying to accomplish with that, you can do with an EXISTS query.
Perhaps you meant to reference two different columns in that query:
select col1 from table1 where col2='5';In that case, sorry, no, you can't do that without resorting to dynamic SQL.
If the same column is used throughout the query (but could change every time you run the query), then the dynamic SQL might be pretty easy. In SQL*Plus, for example, you could use substitution variables, defined in another query at run-time.
If there are only a few possible values that the sub-query could possibly return, and you know what they all are, then you can fake a dynamic query like this:
    SELECT     CASE     ( SELECT  col1
                FROM       table1
                WHERE       col2     = '5'
              WHEN  'BONUS'     THEN  bonus
              WHEN  'COMM'     THEN  comm
              WHEN  'SAL'     THEN  sal
         END     AS col1
    FROM     table2
;Sorry to give such a vague answer, but it's the best I can do with the information I have.
It would help if you posted a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statments for both tables), and the results you want to get from that data. If you want to pass a parameter to the query, give the results you want for a couple of different parameters.

  • Emailing results of a SQL Query....

I am new to Oracle and was wondering if there is a way to create an email task that could be used to email results of a sql query. My query returns emails addresses that meet a specified criteria. I want to use an email task that takes these addresses as variables and sends out an email to the specified email address.
Anyone provide any help with how I might do this?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The odiSqlUnload has a "select" command. Is possible, at your process, work with the "LPAD()" and/or "RPAD()" function to complete the necessary whitespace at each column?
To the column heading I suggest you use the "union" like: (I put the lpad and rpad fuctions as example...)
    select col1, col2, col3
    from(
    select 1 as internal_order, 'header_col1' as col1, 'header_col2' as col2, 'header_col3' as col3
    from dual
    UNION
    select 2 as internal_order, RPAD(col1, 10, ' ') as col1 , LPAD(col2, 50, ' ') as col2 , col3
    from your_table)
    order by internal_order
Do you think this will work for you?

  • How to export result set from mysql query browser to .sql in oracle

    Hi folks:
I was trying to export result set from MySql query browser to Oracle. I could able to do
    File->Export Result Set-> Excel format...
What I am trying to get is .sql file so that I can run it as a script in my oracle db. Is there any way we can get .sql file with inserts and delimeters ....?
Did you guys get my question.?
Please throw some light on this....
    Could be very appreciable ....
    Thanks

    Hi
Create a sql statement which generates the insert statements.
    Something like this:
    select 'insert into table1 (column1, column2, column3) values (' ||
    column1 || ', ' || column2 || ', ' || column3 || ');' from table 1;
The || sign is the string concatenation sign in Oracle, replace it the appropriate sign in MySql. Export the result set of this query into a file, and you can run it in a SqlPlus.

    Hi,
We can do this setting in WAD. Please check the web template and try to remove that setting. When you have hierarchy then we can display only till certain level in portal, this setting is done in web template APIs, but in bex analyzer you can see all the detailed information.

  • Converting an Ultra Search result to a ColdFusion query

    Hello,
I'm trying to convert an Ultra Search result into a ColdFusion query.
There's a java class for CF which turns a java result into a CF query, coldfusion.sql.QueryTable(java.sql.ResultSet), but is there anything which will convert an Ultra Search result to a java result or a CF query?
    Thanks.

You can't cast from a character to a String. That doesn't work.
However, in a fit of being helpful.
Look at the constructors for the String object in the API
    Link ===> http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/lang/String.html#String(char[])
    char[] charA = {'H', 'E', 'L', 'L', 'O', ' ', 'W', 'O', 'R', 'L', 'D' } ;
    String a = new String(charA) ;
System.out.println(a) ;There's a price for my help, and it's this. Now that you understand what you can do, is it a good idea or a bad idea and why ???

  • Result Row in the query output

    Hi,
If I restrict a characteristic by hierarchy then I can’t have the result row displayed. If the hierarchy active is removed then the result row gets displayed. All characteristics are marked to show the result row.
This characteristic is Account Number. If in the query definition I remove the restriction on account numbers and just select hierarchy active and the required hierarchy in the properties then I get the result row in the output. But now it also displays all the unassigned account numbers in a separate node “Not Assigned Account Number (s)”.
I can’t even restrict it in the output with hierarchy active selected. When I do select filter value in the output the options Include in Selection and exclude from Selection are grayed out and hence can’t select it.
    Please advice on this issue…
    Thank you,
    sam

    Hi Jaya,
I think you misunderstood my issue.
My problem is not that i do not want to see the field. But instead, i do not want to see only the results row in the query output.
I need to have the results to populate a calculation via sumct formula.
My question is, can sumct be populated if i hide/supress RESULT row ?

I agree completely. How about also providing a link to a set of input files so that we could actually run the code ourselves? Otherwise, there is no chance to debug the source code, it is just a mess.
You might have better luck with an older version of the file. To quote the comments:
// Modified on March 31, 2005. Initialized maxchange in nonlinvoltra() as
// INFTY. Replaced crnmbr() by a similar, but faster routine interior().
// Many thanks to Stuart Anderson for pointing out this shortcut.
I suspect that the "interior" function is just plain incorrect. It doesn't matter if it runs on some other OS. Something about it is wrong and the code is so cryptic that it can't be deciphered.
