My applecare protection plan code doesn't work

today I bought a macbook pro and a applecare protection plan and when I tried to use my code, it didn't work, does someone know why?

Doublecheck that you are putting the serial number in one box and the enrollment code in the other box. If you are doing that correctly and it's still not working, there should be a number to Applecare on that card. Usually you can get through to a live person in under 5 minutes, sometimes its right away. They will try it with you over the phone, and if it still doesn't work when they do it, they will likely have you mail or fax your receipt to them and they will enter it.

It appears that you have to buy the applecare within 30 days of buying your phone - you said that your phone warranty is almost over, so when did you buy it??? That could be the explanation for the error.

I purchased my iPhone 5 and the Applecare Protection Plan a little over a year ago at my Sprint store. I was not informed that I needed to register my Applecare Plan, so I didn't. Now, my lock button on my iPhone is broken and I want to get it fixed or receive a new phone. PeachMac told me they would give me a new phone which would be covered under my Applecare Plan. I logged into Apple to make sure I still had time on my plan, but it doesn't even recognize that I purchased one and I no longer have the receipt for the plan, let alone the phone. How can I register my plan without the receipt? I'm feeling kinda of ripped off by Apple. Shouldn't they keep a record of who purchases these plans?

Did you register the AppleCare+ plan at the time of purchase? If you didn't, even if you had the receipt, it's too late. It must be purchased and activated within 30 days of the initial purchase of the phone (it's usually done at the time of purchase). If Sprint didn't activate it at the time of sale, you can blame them. Apple doesn't control them.

Since the only thing needed in that box is the small piece of paper with the (very long) registration code on it (usually found inside the booklet), see if that is actually there and, if it is, call Apple at 800-275-2273 and ask to be transferred to the Applecare department. No registration card for AppleCare Protection Plan

I purchased my Apple TV about a month ago and I just now opened up the protection plan for it and noticed that there's no registration card for it. Did I just get a bad copy or is there somewhere that I'm not looking? For example, I notice that there's a white label on the bottom of the box that has some numbers with the words "Auto Enroll" next to them. Will these work or is my suspicion that I got a bad copy a reality?

That would seem to indicate that your AppleCare was set up automatically and no further action on your part is necessary. Auto-enroll is usual when purchasing AppleCare at the same time you purchase your product. You should be able to check the status by going to this web page:

and entering in the appropriate information. You'll then see the expiration of coverage for the unit. If it's more than one year from date of purchase of your Apple TV, you're good to go. You can also call AppleCare via the number that should be on the package.

After checking the web page that you provided and entering the information required, I got this message:
"Our records indicate that your product is covered for service and telephone support under the AppleCare Protection Plan which is estimated to expire on August 17, 2010."
It seems that I was automatically covered with the AppleCare from day one as I bought both the Apple TV and AppleCare at the same time at an Apple Store. Thanks Dave and to all of those who answered my question!

AppleCare Protection Plan - Proof of Purchase

I bought an AppleCare Protection Plan for my iPhone 4 that was bought first week of Jan 2011. When I tried to register the plan it asked me to send in proof of purchase. Why? When I bought it at the AT&T store they didn't mention any proof of purchase requirements.

It's a safety for Apple that you have officially purchased a Apple Care Protection Plan and don't get a "hacked" code somewhere from eBay.

Second question for this forum....As i said before i just purchased 3 weeks ago my new and first Macbook Pro, the sales agent offered the apple care protection plan for $349 (3 year coverage) at the beginning i found it a little expensive but the more i think i wondering....is it worth it?

AppleCare coverage for Macs is worldwide, you can take it in for service anywhere (applies to the standard one year warranty and the AppleCare Protection Plan).
Is it worth it? Depends! If you get to the end of three years and have no problems with your Mac, then perhaps it wasn't worth it. If it goes belly up 367 days after you buy it, it's absolutely worth it.
Personally, I don't have it. My MBP will be three years old in May of this year, no problems to date (except the battery, which was a known issue for which Apple extended the original warranty to two years for my model). My wife's 12" PowerBook is now 6 years old, and still runs fine (only needing a replacement battery about 2 years ago, that's normal wear); it was in constant use until this Christmas when I got her a new unibody MB.
Keep in mind that you can purchase AppleCare anytime during the original one year period, so if you decide against for now but have any issues with your MBP during the year, you can change your mind.

Does Installinig 3rd party RAM void warranty and AppleCare Protection Plan?

I accidently bought my upgraded RAM seperately (512 MB) and want to upgrade it in my Mac Mini, but it's Kingston RAM. Will this void my warranty and AppleCare Protection Plan by having it inside the system?
Will Apple stores install it?

Welcome to the Apple discussions.
Having a different ram, by itself won't invalidate your warranty. Note if it's Kingston's valueram, it may or may not work if you have a G4 mini. Haven't heard how the Intel-mini's are doing with various manufacturers RAM, although I suspect the Intel-mini has a broader range of memory it can use.
Apple stores will only install RAM they sell. If you contact one of the AASP's, they should be able to install the RAM. CompUSA, for example, is one AASP. You can find other ones in the Denver area using the locator at http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/service.html

AppleCare Protection Plan missing!?

Recently, I noticed that my battery was deteriorating so I decided to check its status, which showed "Service Battery". Now, because I bought the AppleCare Protection Plan at the time that I bought my Macbook Pro (June 2011), I decided to go to an authorized Apple retailer place to have my MBP fixed. But when I got there, they checked my warranty status and they told me that I don't have the AppleCare Plan and the normal warranty has expired, which is impossible because I did buy the Plan.
I don't have the receipt as proof, because my aunt bought the MBP for me in the US when she was there. What I do have for proof though are the screenshots that I sent her, which included all the specific detail regarding the features of the MBP that I wanted to have:

The price of $2667.95 was the exact amount that she paid, so that means that the AppleCare Plan was included.

I intend to upgrade my current 3GS to iphone 4 when it is available. Just happened i hv an unused applecare protection plan. Wonder whether this unused plan can be use on iphone 4?

It should be unopened and in the box. You will need to open the box and go to the website it gives, then enter in your code for AppleCare, and attach it to your device (did it once, for a friend, not me, quite a while ago). I test these two codes in "This document" object, and I find out the first code works but the second code are not!
Why second code doesn't work?
Extra question: I am using microsoft 2013. I insert this code into a macro-enabled template. But when I am about to save my file I am expecting these code works. However, they didn't work!

Please note that the code snippet 2 in your post is different from the code snippet in the MSDN document. Also please read the comments of the MSDN code sample:
This example prompts the user for a yes or no response before saving any document.
This code must be placed in a class module, and an instance of the class must be correctly initialized to see this example work; see

So the problem in your code snippet 2 is that you didn't put it into a class module and initialize the class module. If you just put it into ThisDocument, you have to initialize the word application object.

I am not sure if i posted the same question before also. We have some customers who have set thier language profile in newScale requestcenter to French. However, all the javascript customizations configured on the service forms do not function for 'French' as a Langauge preference. Has anyone encountered the similar issue before and can anyone please suggest a solution for it?

we had a similar issue a while back where the Approval button was not working in Spanish, needed a fix from nS for it
The way to fix this would be to locate the language XML file, override the French caption with Submit and on onLoad write a global JS that would write the button label again (not so sure about this)
But really its an major defect and they should be able to fix it.
