My back button is grayed out no matter how many websites I goto. it won't let me go back. How do I get this feature back. Tried holding the button but nothing works.

Will Alt+arrowLeft go back, and Alt+arrowRight go forward ? Just curious because never asked before -- but wouldn't be much good without the clue that the toolbar arrows provide. I use the mouse back/forward buttons or the keyboard shortcuts, but rely on the what the back/forward toolbar buttons show.
See these two, try everything you can before renaming places.sqlite, such as the corrupt local store, backing up and restoring bookmarks, etc. -- because you do not want to lose your history by deleting or renaming places.sqlite. I have never had to delete places.sqlite but I did delete history once when I thought they wouldn't actually delete all your history from a tool bar button would they (that is a bit more protected now, at least by default).

After updating to itunes 10 I now get an error message that says there is a problem with the windows installer package. I have tried all the things that others suggested but cannot download itunes at all now. Have I lost itunes forever?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. The display suddently changed two days ago. Everthing exploded in size. I have tried changing the contrast but nothing works. The display screen becomes either too wide, too long, or too narrow and in all cases the font is extra large and out of focus. What can I do please I am really disappointed since my iMac is only 2.5 months old.
Don't think so. But tried it anyway. I have been into utilities and tried different contrast settings now I don't know what is the right one. But no matter which one I tried I have either about a third of the screen black, with display centered as though hidden behind the black. What is going on?
Also, I have to say that I can't understand why there is no information anywhere on what the correct settings should be.

I just finished updating my iPhone 5 to iOS 8.0.2. It was working fine after a week, and then just yesterday, I couldn't access Instagram when I was on cellular data, but with Twitter, Facebook, etc. I had no problems. I tried restarting my phone, restarting the network settings, even reinstalling the app but nothing works. What should I do?
P.S. I have the same problem with my Clash of Clans app. Only works with Wifi, the app doesn't load when i;m oHi, dansamson.

My mini ipod appears off and not respond to any commands when pressed the buttons to reset, apple logo appeared and then the apple support site and it shuts down. already tried all the steps, but none worked, and when I plug it into my computer it does not appear in the iTunes bar. what do I do?
If MacKeeper corrupted the Recovery partition then even I underestimated its potential for damage. Garbage "cleaning" apps will cause misery but I have not found that the Recovery partition to have been affected by using MacKeeper or anything like it. I doubt that it did so, but I have learned not to underestimate the potential for such things to result in system corruption.
Before concluding your Mac has a hardware failure, try booting OS X Internet Recovery by holding command option r on startup (three fingers). That will force your iMac to bypass the Recovery partition altogether, and convey the ability to create a new one.
An Internet connection will be required (wired or wireless).
At the Mac OS X Utilities screen, select Disk Utility. Select your startup volume (usually named "Macintosh HD") and click the Repair Disk button. Describe any errors it reports in red. If Disk Utility reports "The volume Macintosh HD appears to be OK" in green then you can be reasonably (though not completely) assured your hard disk is in good working order.
Assuming the HD remains usable you can then use Disk Utility to erase it. Reinstall OS X, restore your essential software and other files, and don't reinstall the junk. -
Hello. I have problem here can someone plz help. I have usb of 32 gb but i have problem with it while i was trying to partition of it and it fails and my usb disappear from finder and desktop i have tried every possible thing but nothing works .
Yea i tried in disk utility and its got faiiled and the partitation has deleted and when i tried to replug the usb msg show up by saying usb not compaitnle. With this mac and take me to disk utility and thanks for replying

The message suggestions that pop up while typing have disappeared. How do I get this feature back?
I recently upgraded to ios 8.0.2 on the iPhone 5. One new feature I noticed was a grey box that listed word suggestions to add to a text as it was being typed (not to be confused with the auto correct or original word bubble that pops up for autocomplete). It disappeared and I am not sure why or how I can get this feature back.
If there is a thin gray bar with a white dash in the middle immediately above the keyboard, you can reopen the suggestions by placing a finger on the white dash and dragging up.
You can turn the suggestions on/off by going to Settings > General > Keyboard > Predictives -
My iPhone apps wouldn't open they just blink for a second and the home screen comes back again...i tried installing a free app from the AppStore but it didn't work and also tried resetting the iPhone but ddnt work as well please help what do i do??
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

After downloading the ios7 to my iPhone 4s, the keyboard does not have the microphone so I can't speak to text. How do I get this feature back?
Go to Settings > General > Siri and turn Siri on. Once you turn it on, you will have the microphone key back on the keyboard

I tried reseting the pram, reinstalling the software, plugging the headphone jack in and out, deleting playlist but nothing works. on the external clone, the output works with noise but still no input device.
can i use a sound card instead?If you just had the system repaired for water damage what did they replace? If it was the Logic board then all parts should work and if they don't, like the sound, then they didn't fix it correctly and you should take it back to them for a proper fix.

On starting up my new iPhone 4s, it freezes on the apple logo. I have tried the reset buttons trick and have tried restoring again too but neither works. Any other ideas? Or is the phone simply corrupt in some way?
Did you try to connect in recovery mode and restore without using the latest backup?

If setting up as new device does not work, you'll have to get it serviced or looked at by visiting an Apple Store.
Did you try to remove the ipsw firmware file and restore, to make iTunes download a new copy from Apple?

If removing the .ipsw file does not resolve a user-specific restore issue, then the issue is caused by other user-specific security software settings or iTunes preferences. My facebook icon dissapeared from my iphone 4s immediately after I updated my face book app. I have tryed everything to restore it but nothing worked and I couldn't even download it again because in the settings it says thats its installed and when try to open it it doesn't respond. Has any one experiebced the same thing or does anyone know any idea how to fix this?

Restart iPhone: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for phone to restart. -
