My beloved Ipod Classic 2009 has something wrong with sound - i have restored and removed almost everything but it just wont play - im lost without it, any know if it can be fixed?
At first the sound was just awful dead scratchy so I reset it and now it very occasionally plays a few seconds then dissappears I feel I have lost a friend and would dearly love someone who knows about such things to tell me if they can help - I ve done all the resetting restoring etc stuff already.

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes

How do I import my photos from my iPhone to iPhoto, when I press import I just get a message saying there is something wrong with one of my photos and disconnects my iPhone.

Sorry, I just noticed, I made a mistake. "Image Capture" is in the Applications folder, not Utilities. And it may have a different name on your Mac, if your system language is not English: Look for the icon with the camera:
When Image Capture can import from your iPhone, spilt the folder with the imported photos in several small subfolders and try to import them separately to iPhoto. This way, you can identify a subset of photos with the corrupted one.
Then try to import from that small subset one by one, until you hit the culprit. And then delete that photo or video from the phone. -

If you have not already, do a Reset (restart) of the iPod.

If that does not help, on the iPod''s display, go to Settings, and select the command to Reset Settings or Reset All Settings. This puts the iPod back to default settings.
If that does not help, and if all of the songs on the iPod are in your current iTunes library, you can try doing a Restore on the iPod. The Restore button is on the iPod's Summary screen in iTunes. This will erase the iPod, reinstall its software, and set it to default settings. You can then sync content back to the iPod, as desired, and give it a try.
If the Restore does not help either, then the cause is likely to be something on the iPod. If you tried multiple headphones, it may be a bad headphones jack on the iPod. -

I ultimately had this problem and thought that it's the iPod's problem, I even went to a reseller's store and asked about the problem...
but it was not even solved :/ , so I had to edit it myself
1. Identify song that you know is always overloud/low volume ( though you had factory resetted your iPod)
2. Go to iTunes and right click the particular song on the library and choose 'get info'
3. Choose 'options' , it's between 'sorting' and 'lyrics'
4. This is the time when you found that the volume adjustment is more than none or +100% (lower than none if the song is really low) for the particular song, how do I know that? the songs that I found overloud on my iPod had volume adjustment of +100% or lower...
5. Adjust the volume to none, (you can observe that your other normal volumed song is none when it comes to volume adjustment) you can always adjust them to your preferred volume..
6. Sync iPod
7. Done!! ^.^
I tried this method and it works completely...... true story.
This method is also applicable to classic songs that you found it more awesome to make them louder.

Please help me out ? this problem just happened all of a sudden.
By the way it is an 8 BG ipod.Also, when I go on to safari, another alert pops up that safari cannot verify the identity of the website, anything that I type in to as common as google.com. It gives me 3 options to either cancel, look at details, and continue. I've looked at the details of the website of Google and it is legitimate the site. Any help?

The headphones don't work
If your iPod's headphones don't work or have static or garbled audio, try connecting them to any other 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack, like the one on your computer. If the issue with the headphones persists, replace them. For an iPod under warranty, you can order a replacement online. Otherwise, check out the cool headphones at the Apple Online Store. If the issue appears to be with the iPod, try resetting it. If that doesn't work, then restore iPod with the latest iPod software using iTunes 7 or later.

Hi, I just downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader, and for some reason, it won't open PDF files like it should.
Every time I get the error message that simply says there is something wrong with the program's configuration and that I should try to reinstall. I have reinstalled two times now, and there is no difference.
Can anyone help me here? I don't know of any other way to view and print my PDFs.How do you open PDF files: double-click on them, or open from Adobe Reader?

No, we can't fix it. Probably live half the world away from you and don't have telephatic powers....
But you can try yourself. First, make sure the connector is absolutely clean. The gold pins on the cable end should all move freely and fully extend out. The gold pads on the Mac connector should be spotlessly clean, and the area around them, where the metal ring on the cable goes in, should be free of any debris that may impede full seating and contact.
Next, the cable on the power brick should be in good condition, without kinking or fraying. If there is any damage, only solution is replacement, it is not serviceable.
Lastly, make sure the battery is ok. Go to the About This Mac item in the Apple menu, do More Info... / System Report... and select Power on the left column. In the Battery Information, Health section, make sure the Condition is Normal. Else, will need replacement.
