My Blackberry Device got wet in Salt Water, How to extract the data from its Memory ?

I have forgotten my device in my pocket while swimming in Sea Water. Eventually , the device got water damaged , I've taken out the battery, used the hair drier and still didn't work. All My concern is how can I retrieve the data on my Device Memory. Most important the Media Files (Photos, Videos...etc),
Thanks,

photos and vids ar most lilkely on the SD card and youcan get a USB reader to get them if they are not encrypted.

  • So my iPhone 4s got wet with salt water while I was at the beach.

I didn't turn it on after it got wet. I let it dry before I tried turning it on but it did not work. Is there a fix that I can do? Also, how can I open up my iphone? The screws on the bottom are shaped sorta like a flower.
And please do not suggest that I send it to Apple. Thank You

Do whatever you want then. It's probably never going to work again.
amazing isn't it? "hey i messed up my phone, can you tell me what to do, except don't tell me what to do". i live 5 minutes from the beach and i'm there all the time but my iphone never gets near there. not just the salt water, it's practically impossible to keep from getting sand in it.

  • HT201210 the iPhone 4 will not connect through iTunes and has extracted all data from the device

It seems like this could be an issue with the device.  IT will not connect long enough to extract the data.

  • Blackberry 8330 - Got Wet

    Hi,
I have a Blackberry 8330 with Verizon Wireless, who so far have been unhelpful.  It got wet.  I was able to take the phone apart and clean up the area (where the battery makes contact with the actual contact points of the phone itself).  I put in a fully charged battery (different one from the original) and all that happened was the red ligth when on at the top right corner.  All I want to do is get the pictures off this phone, not the memory card.
Does anyone know if the pictures are able to be salvaged?
    Thanks,
    Larry

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
If the BB will not boot up, no. But, you may yet have a chance...try this:

Given how much time has passed, there may be no hope.
    Good luck!

Welcome to the Apple community khnkOliver.
I assume these photos, or at least not all of them weren't in photo stream.
You should be able to recover your photos from a back up.

  • I need to de-authorize my old computer - had to buy a new one today because the old one got wet...I can't see the old screen - but can't use the new one until I can deauthorize the old one...is this a catch 22?

How do I de-authrorize an old computer?  I can't access it because it got wet...I can't activate the new one until I deauthroize the old one...seems like a chicken and egg thing...?

Windows: How to Authorize or Deauthorize iTunes | PCWorld.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.
More On De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

  • I just bought a brand new iPhone 4s from a Three store. When I used the cloud restore to put the data from my old 3gs onto the device, it's prompting me for an Apple ID login with an email address that isn't mine!

I just got a brand new iPhone 4S on a contract from my local Three store. When I used the cloud restore to put the data from my old 3GS onto the device, it's prompting me for an Apple ID login with an email address (hotmail) that isn't mine! My old phone has NEVER had any Apple ID other than mine log into it, and the new one's a sealed box that I've opened and set up from scratch. Can anyone please explain this? I'm worried there's some kind of problem with my iCloud data being mixed with someone else's or something... Since I logged in with my own ID, it's downloaded the data perfectly fine, but I just got the Apple ID prompt again a moment ago with this same hotmail address in it... I'd be very grateful for any explanation!

In iTunes on your computer, select the Purchased section under STORE in the left column. Click on the first track and choose "Get Info" from the "File" menu.
In the "Summary" tab you'll see details of the purchaser of the track. Click Next to go through all your purchased music one by one until you find the ones you need to get rid of.
Unfortunately, there are no smart playlist rules that can filter tracks by the purchaser that I know of.

In technical support, sometimes you have to make educated guesses. I'm sorry that you were offended.
iTunes does prompt when it is going to erase a device, and the message is clear.
She said in her message that she was able to successfully sync the old ipad. This indicated to me that itunes wiping the data was not an issue, because either it had been setup at the apple store (in which case it doesn't actually wipe the ipad despite saying it will*) (*based on a single case I saw), or because the itunes media folder was migrated.
Furthermore, my solution was to tell her how to backup her ipad (by either doing it manually, or as a last resort, by deleting the corrupt backup -- that she couldn't access anyway.)
I got that last part of the instructions from the "Taking Control of your iphone" book which I found samples of when I did a google search for "corrupted backup itunes".
She marked this as a solution, so it worked for her.

  • How do you transfer data from one device to another??

I have an iPod Touch and i would like to purchase an iPad. So i am wondering if i can safely transfer the data from the ipod to the ipad? I have a lot of games that took a long time to achieve things in and i would not like to loose all that data. So i was wondering if i used the same itunes account and the same gamecenter account if this would work? I really dont know what will work and what won't work, so if you could help me out i would really like to know. Thanks

Sort of but its kind of all or nothing for the whole device.
You can restore the iPad from a Touch backup in iTunes but it will overwrite all the information and data on your iPad. You could then re-sort out your iPad but its kind of overkill.
There is no application specific data transfer.
    Sorry !

  • I got a new computer and installed Firefox, but don't know how to transfer the bookmarks from Firefox on the old computer.

This has to be one of the the most common problems that people encounter. We all get new computers every so often, and we all need to keep the old bookmarks when we get a new computer and install the new browser.
I feel like I must be among the small minority of people who do not know how to do this. My older computer is not dead, it just got old (it uses XP). I have been keeping it around until I get all of the data from it. Any help in doing that would be greatly appreciated.
I am now using Windows 7.

Firefox also makes regular backups of your bookmarks in a folder named bookmarkbackups in your personal settings folder. You can restore the backup to your new Firefox, but unlike importing the HTML-format file, it is a complete drop-in replacement, so if you have saved new bookmarks you do not want to lose, the export/import method may work better for you.
By default, Windows hides your personal settings folder so the easiest way to access it is from inside Firefox. You can use either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
    * (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
    * type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This will launch a window showing your Firefox settings files.
You might want to back up this whole folder if you have other data you want to preserve from your XP computer.
Either way, you should find the bookmarkbackups folder here and when you click into it, find maybe 10 files with dates in their names.
The procedure to restore the file once you have it on removable media or some other convenient place is described in this article: [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]].
Regarding the other files and what you might find of use: [[Recovering important data from an old profile]].

  • How to fetch the data & display the data if fields got the same name in alv

hi frnds, i need ur help.
how to fetch the data & display the data if fields got the same name in alv grid format.
    thanks in advance,

    Refer the url :
    http://abapexpert.blogspot.com/2007/07/sap-list-viewer-alv.html
Go thru the guide for OOPs based ALV.
Use SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY to display the table:
    CALL METHOD grid->set_table_for_first_display
     EXPORTING
    I_STRUCTURE_NAME = 'SFLIGHT'     “Structure data
    CHANGING
    IT_OUTTAB = gt_sflight.          “ Output table
    You can also implement
Full Screen ALV, its quite easy. Just pass the output table to FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.
For controlling and implementing the FS-ALV we have to concentrate on few of the components as follows :
    1. Selection of data.
    2. Prepare Layout of display list.
    3. Event handling.
    4. Export all the prepared data to REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.

i just got this phone and im so lost im having problems puttig my pics and music on the phone from my memory card from my previous phone

Import the music and photos from the memory card with your computer and place the music in your iTunes library.
Place the photos in a folder to be designated for transfer to your iPhone.
Select Sync Music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes to transfer this music and any other music in your iTunes library and select Sync Photos under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes selecting the folder where these photos are located followed by a sync.
