i am wondering why every time i sign on its telling me i have a virus and is infected w 4 viruses

Not really a virus but malware. It's a hoax that's making it's way around the internet.

When I click on the Mozilla Firefox Icon to open the internet, I get a pop-up warning me that I have "22 critical system objects" (viruses?). This isn't a Firefox problem, it's a computer problem. Download and run Malwarebytes. That should help you out. And there are no replies because it's only been 7 minutes since you posted.
And don't buy whatever they're trying to sell you. It's a virus trying to steal your credit card information. -

Your Mac does not have any viruses. There are no viruses that affect or infect OS X, not one.
You have fallen for a trick, which is called social engineering. This is malware - a trojan, and a phishing scam to get your credit card number to take your credit card account to the cleaners.

App store keeps telling me I have an update but I don't.
The app store on my iPad had an update for an app the other day but rather than updating I chose to delete the app as it was of no use. However the app store keeps telling me I have an update but when I open the app store none are listed.
Anyone experienced this?
Also the iPad keeps telling me my mail settings are incorrect and that I should check them yet I can still send and receive my mail.

Once you purchase an app, you will continue to get the update notification even if you delet the app. the notification is based on your purchase history and I don't think there is anything you can do to stop the update notices.
As for the email alert - no clue - but this is what I would do. Restart your iPad. Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut down. To start up again, hold down on the sleep button until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Maybe the email alert will go away. -
How do I find which photo iPhoto is telling me I have a problem with?
I'm trying to buy a book I've formatted, but in place of the filename, it just calls it "(null)".

My iphone 4 is telling me I have to restore but when I plug in and connect to itunes, it freezes about 30-50 % through the process. Now I can't use my phone at all? I am waiting about 1-3 hours for this process to finish and nothing ever happens. HELP!!
Put it into DFU mode - hold the sleep/wake button and home button until the screen goes black (ignoring the slide to turn off slider). When the screen goes black release the sleep/wake button but hold the home button. Continue holding the home button for 10 seconds, then release it. The screen should stay black. Plug it into iTunes and it should come up with this message "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. It must be restored before use", that's when it is successfully in DFU mode. Now press the restore button in iTunes and it should run smoothly :)

Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one. -
I installed the new 5.0 version of Firefox and the thing keeps telling me i have to resart my system to finish the install of an old version. I resart and it doesnt do anything. What is wrong and how do I fix this. I have been using firfox for more than a year now and have never had trouble till this issue came up
If the toolbar installed something into the rest of the system, you will see an entry in the Control Panel in the software uninstall applet which should be removed. You might need to make a new profile if you cannot find an extension that has something to do with the toolbar.

Just got a new mac pro and can't manage to set a password and keep it. It keeps telling me I have the wrong password. I want to start over and I can't even get back in to do this bc it won't take any of my passwords. How can I start over completely?
You got a new laptop? try asking there or in Lion forum.
If it has Lion, use the Recovery Mode boot Command-R
Use that to erase and reinstall - it has network install ability.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I had a hard disc failure and had to reload Design suite 6 from disc. The program is now telling me I have 7 days to register the product or it will quit working. The serial number is already registered. It won't connect to the adobe site from the popup screen that comes up telling me I only have 7 days to register. What do I do?
Go to the Help menu in Photoshop and choose Activate. It should open a wizard allowing you to do this.
If that fails, Contact Customer Care after clicking on one of the activation links. The more information you give them, the easier it will be for them to help you.

Mail is telling me I have 2 emails but I can't see them in my inbox. I've changed the settings so there is no limit to mail days to sync,as lots of messages seemed to be disappearing, but I'm stuck now!
Is the folder pane collapsed? View(or AppMenu/Options)/Layout/Folder Pane. Otherwise, deleting foldertree.json might fix it:
