I did an internet search (Google) and found the following. It is from May (before the latest iOS update) so the look of some of the steps may vary slightly from the current iOS 7. http://osxdaily.com/2013/03/04/turn-any-voice-recording-into-a-ringtone-for-ipho ne/

I purchased an iphone for my daughter and we are using the same account and she deleted some contacts from her phone and they were deleted off of my contacts as well. Is there a way to use icloud backup to reinstall the contacts to my phone?
Welcome to the Apple community.
You can only restore them from a Computer backup. This has occurred because you are sharing an iCloud account. ideally you should each have your own iCloud account, that way you can each manage your own mail, contacts, calendars, documents etc and avoid unintentional deletions and unwanted editing. If there is information you wish to share between you, this can be done with a secondary account.
Having separate iCloud accounts, doesn't mean you have to have separate iTunes accounts, so whilst you keep your personal data separate, you can continue to share music, apps, books, TV shows, movies etc. -
How can I restrict the usage of a iPhone 5c? I would only like my daughter to be able to use her phone between 7am and 10pm central. Any ideas how to do this or an app to use?
Hi! i believe there is no preinstalled app than can do that for you, however you can use a third party software, such as this: http://www.bitworks-engineering.co.uk/Apps/TimeLock_App/Welcome.html or this https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/parental-timelock-time-limit/id689577280?mt=8

Today my daughter could download 2 apps on her phone without my permission. We are part of family share and her settings show that she needs my permission to download everything. How could she download the apps if I did not giver her permission. I thought that was the point of family sharing in the cloud.
Yes, Family sharing is almost not useable this way. Once you activate it you won't be able to load some of the best/essential apps even though they are free. But they are blocked by the Patriarch of the Family. :-(...
I do not understand why this issue does not get bigger Attention? Does noone use familiy sharing yet? Or do they activate it right after they have loaded all those essential apps beforehand?

My daughter has put a password on her computer and has forgotten her number
my daughter has put a password on her ipod and forgotten to write it down and now she cannot get on does anyone know how to rectify this thank you steven barker
Two options - plug it into the computer it was last sync'd with and restore from a backup. If no backup, you will have to restore as new and start all over.

i have a friend who was going to sync her phone with my computer to get the new update.. how do i add her phone with out her losing everything on her phone and not getting all my info on her phone..
First, create a separate login on your computer for your friend. Do this BEFORE you do anything else. Next, make sure iTunes is up to date. Then:
1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under Preferences>Devices in iTunes.
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications(Address Book, iCal) on your computer. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect her phone, iTunes running, do not sync at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on her phone will be in her itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore her itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding her contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
You should be good to go. -
How do I send a voice memo through a text message (iOS 8.1.3)?
How do I send a voice memo through a text message (iOS 8.1.3)?
In messages next to where you would normally enter text you'll see a mic button. Press and hold the button to record your message. When done let go and a control circle will appear with a x to delete the recording, a play button to check your message, and upward arrow to send the message.

When I text my daughter, the messgage goes back to my phone, and she doesnt get message
My daughter and I are on the same plan. When I text her, I get the message back, and it never gets to her. I have tried turning my phone off and then on, and re-entering her phone number under the contacts. When she texts me, I get her message.
I ended up trying a reset all settings under General> Reset> Reset all Settings. This seemed to work. Not sure what I did to get it the way it was going before. I have had this phone for a year and never did that before.

I used my apple Id and my iCloud account on my mom's iPhone and all my contacts and stuff went to her phone and hers on mine. I tried to delete my apple id off of her phone now how do I delete the iCloud? And will the data from my phone be deleted too if I delete my iCloud off of her phone?
sophieguichard wrote:
oh ok and then i need to create another id for her? would we lose all our stuff?
thank you so much!!!!
Well, yeah. You want to create separate accounts for each of you, using individual Apple IDs. I know mothers and daughters like to share clothes, shoes, handbags, etc. but don't share Apple IDs. -
My aunt just bought her iphone (5c) for half of its original price here in Phils. So to check it was a
Egit one, i asked for the serial number by checking the settings of her phone. After geting the serial nu,ber, i entered it in apple's site to verify. I was kinda surprised since the phone that appeared was 5s instead of 5c. I asked my aunt what's the color of her phone and she said it's green. So could this be a fake iphone phone? If the warranty is showing less than 12 months ,the iPhone has already been activated ,so yes most likely secondhand

My mother has an iPad and so do I. I have successfully sent photos and videos to her. She took a photo with her iPad and sent it to me. I receive her mail with the word, "attachment" and with the paper clip symbol - but there is never an attachment! No photo! How is this possible if she is doing the exact steps that I do when mailing photos? Is something locked? Thanks for help.
Scroll down to the bottom of the email. Is there a message there to download the rest of the email?
Quit Mail and try again. Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it jiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally. -
My wife just activated her IPhone5 today and when we received a call to FaceTime both her phone and IPad rang. When we answered the call on the IPad the callers image only appeared in the portrait mode and any attempt to rotate the Ipad to the landscape mode did not change anything. Any suggestions?
