I've replaced my dvd drive twice now and it's dead again,,, anyone else having this problem?

Mac keeps going dead

Yesterday,i switched on my mac and withing a minute it had gone dead.it loads up,and after about thirty seconds there's a slight click then it goes dead.any ideas?

Based on what you said I would guess a bad power supply but you just replaced it. Have you checked the connections?
I once had a cable to the monitor that was bad(it was shorting internally from being kinked between a wall and the back of the monitor) and would do what you said but.....

PhotosmartC5580 keeps going dead

In the past couple of weeks my photosmart C5580 All-in-one randomlygives me the message to turn power off and then on again and the screen is blank except for this statement. When I push the power button, which I generally hold until it turns off, the light stays on and the screen turns blue with a multicolored strip along the bottom. Sometimes when I push the power button again, which is still lit, I will get the opening menu and things seem OK. However, yesterday morning when I walked through the room I noticed that the screen was all blue with the number 824C1800 and a power button icon; I couldn't get it to do anything. Please, someone help me. What's going on?

Wifi keeps doing dead.

This didn't start immediately after upgrading to Lion. It started about two or three weeks ago.
Such as it is, my mac's wifi keeps going dead every twenty minutes and it is becoming REALLY annoying.
The problem is fixed by turning the wifi on the mac on and off again, but having to do it every twenty
minutes is starting to wear on me a bit and so I figured it was time to find a solution.
I've tried running a keepalive bash script, but that didn't work. I tried changing service orders, that didn't work,
I tried changing preferred service order, that didn't work. Static IP: didn't work. And so on and so forth.
At my wits end, so any help would be good right about now.

This is most likely faulty battery. Make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution under Warranty.

Ipod keeps turning itself on and off repeatedly until battery goes dead

please help.....my ipod just keeps turning itself on and off repeatedly until the battery goes dead. The only thing that will show up on the screen is the apple logo and then it will power cycle over and over and over! I have tried reseting it but I am limited to what I can do because the computer will not recognize the ipod when i connest it to my computer.

IBook keeps going blank or doesn't turn on

I have an iBook G4 and it the screen has been going blank but the computer is still on. Sometimes it just won't turn on at all. I have been having to pull out the battery and reset it. I have repaired the permissions and emptied the Cache. Would my battery not holding a charge have anything to do with it. I have to keep the computer plugged in all the time, if not it goes dead within 5 minutes.

I would suspect a faulty logic board in the iBook.

Macbok pro screen goes dead during the startup process

Everything was working fine tonight until the computer went to sleep. After that I couldn't get the screen to stay on. I restart and it seems typical then the screen goes dead while the laptop continues to boot. Any ideas? The screen stays on during firewire target disk mode, ***!

It's a warranty issue. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.

I installed Elem 12 from DVD. Organizer wors fine but to edit it just keeps going bake to the sing in page. What do I do?

Voice Signal Goes Dead for a Few Seconds From Time to Time

I live in a rural part of Marin County that has poor signal: one bar or less. I've purchased a signal booster which has increased my bar level to 4 -- which is terrific. What I'm noticing however is that the voice signal goes dead for a few seconds (5 - 10 seconds) during a conversation. This happens every few minutes. Voice connectivity then returns for a few minutes only to cut off again for a few seconds and so on. This happens if I'm inside my house. If I go outside, it doesn't seem to happen. I've turned the booster box this way and that but no change. I've also changed the ariel this way and that, but no change. What's up with this? It's very annoying to be on a call and have the sound go dead.

Hi yraglleb - Let's keep your audio clear and consistent! What model is your Network Extender? May I also ask the current iOS version of your device? Check Settings>General>About. Have you tested other phones on the same Extender? I look forward to getting this resolved!

Hi, I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 7.0.4 and the phone keeps going of whenver battery level drops to 20% and it give the warning. It turns off immediately after I dismiss the warning message. I LOCKED THE PHONE AT 21% and I was able to play music to 4% which means there is no problem with the battery, this seems to be a programming error.
Earlier suggestion include that the battery has a dead cell but it wouldnt keep playing music for over 2 hours it it had a dead cell.

My issue with IOS 7.1 and higher is my Bluetooth for the phone still works...no problem but the music does not work with bluetooth...I have an Acura TSX 2010...Acura said there are no incidents reported, but me...I just upgraded to IPhone 6 and still no good....as soon as i hit the AUX button it say USB...not bluetooth...ugh

EOS Rebel XSi goes dead

I have a Canon EOS Rebel XSi. Less than a year ago, I replaced the batteries with new ones (I keep 2 - one as a spare). I am experiencing problems where the camera goes dead after 8 or 10 photos, even though the battery shows a full charge. I swapped to my backup battery, and it took a minute or two to get the camera to turn back on, and when it did, I again only got about 8 or 10 photos and it went completely dead. Everything seems to work fine up until the point that it dies. FYI, the camera is about 4 1/2 years old and has taken probably 10,000 or more photos. Could this be a battery problem, or is it likely something more serious?

If using alternate batteries still does not power the camera long enough for more than 8-10 photos, the camera will need to be repaired.

That little wheel just keeps going round

Recently my MacBook (syst. 10.6.8) has started freezing. Often it's when I'm using Firefox (version 30). I'm not sure though if the problem is Firefox or maybe the Finder, but that little rainbow wheel just keeps going round and I eventually have to reboot. I have run "Repair Permissions" from the start-up/install disk, but it still does it. I also trashed the finder prefs.
I am worried that I've "caught" something from the internet?

You could check the Activity Monitor (see Go in Finder, choose Utilities folder,
and double-click Activity Monitor) to see what may be hanging up and wasting
system resources. You may need to boot the computer from the Installer DVD
and from the menu options there (do not install anything) you can access a
few things; one of them is Disk Utility; you can check and also Repair the HDD.
There are some ideas, & things to check that may be helpful in resolving issues
in this site: Tech Guides - The Safe Mac http://www.thesafemac.com/tech-guides/
There may be something else going on in the computer, so if you have a good
backup of your content or a clone of the entire bootable system on a second
externally enclosed hard disk drive, (it can be 'cloned' back to the computer HD)
then you could do an erase and install, then restore from the clone-copy.
An overly full or problematic hard disk drive may also cause such symptoms.
Damaged files or bad sectors can be a sign of an old hard drive pending failure.
Backup..!
PS: images do not appear to be working, or if they do appear, don't show to others.
