My email is crashing every time I open it. Any idea how to fix this?

1 day ago my iPhone started crashing every time I opened my email. I've tried deleting suspicious emails (quickly before it crashes) but that didn't work. I went out to the web server and deleted the same emails and that didn't fix it either. I've restarted my phone and my phone is up to date on updates. Any suggestions on how to fix this? It's also now happening on my iPad and my husband's iPhone.

Hi, I finally got it fixed and I think that I figured it out. I am sure it was a bid emial that got onto my server so I went to (For Me) comcast.net and cleared my server of all the emails then plugged my phone in and backed it up and then reset it to original settings. That solved all the problems and have not come back. Hope this helps. Phil

This is an Ongoing problem with the built in Mac Mail program. Almost everyday there is at least one post, if not 10 posts, about the same thing on these forums.
Most Mac Fan Boys will respond with "It must be your ISP has changed settings". But every other device you have, Phone, Pad, other computers, whether Mac or PC, have NO problems getting and sending mail with those exact same settings as used in Mac Mail and that Mac Mail worked a few hours ago or yesterday and now it doesn't.
I suggest you switch to some other Mail program, Any other Mail program, and this type of problem will never happen again.

Settings >> Mail, Contacts. Calendars >> Organise by Thread. Switch to OFF to see every individual email in the Inbox.

In iTunes 11 uncheck the preferences setting in in the iTunes Preferences panel "Advanced > Copy Files to iTunes Media folder when adding to Library"

i found the error!
little snitch on os x blocks something (i dont know what exact) of adobe in the background. i have no rule defined for adobe in little snitch, so everything of adobe can go out.
when i stop little snitch, everything works fine - photoshop opens videos without the medialink error, photoshop starts up in seconds and premiere starts without a quicktime error.
i report the problem also to objective developement to fix this!

Log out of the old ID, then login using the new one with the correct pw.

You might want to try contacting Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click See All Products and Services>iTunes>iTunes Store>Passwords & Security Questions>Lost or Forgotten Apple ID password. They should be able to explain what's going on and help you reset the password for the old ID if necessary. The call should be free.

Pull the power cord from the back of the Time Capsule
Count to ten
Plug the power cord back into the back of the Time Capsule

Check Settings>Messages>Receive At>Caller ID, make sure it's set to your phone number not your email address.

Every time I play a video on youtube it sounds like another version of that video is playing five seconds later, (and keeps doing so over and over) any idea how to fix this?

When I load a video on youtube, it plays, and then it sounds like another version of that video plays 5 seconds later, and after 5 seconds more, another version etc- etc.

iTunes saves out a new copy of the entire library file every time a change is made to the library. This is not new behavior.
The slowdowns I have seen like this have ususally been caused by:
A virus
or
Some anti-virus software is incorrectly interpreting the rewriting of the file and is causing a problem.
Either way, you should definitely update your anti-virus software and definitions to the latest, and run a full scan of your system. If that does not help, you may want to recreate your iTunes library.

OK, the only thing that I can suggest at this point is to take the machine to your local Apple Store and have them download and install the latest version of Safari. It's likely something that they'll do for free if you get a nice Genius...
I don't know what I was thinking about - finely figured out that you MUST have an iOS or other device!
Sorry we couldn't solve the problem... hopefully, you've a nearby Apple Store? Or an AASP?
