My experience, frustrated and next step is cancelling our family plan

This is my experience, as frustrated as it makes me, I wanted to post so others don't have to endure this...
I have been a customer of Verizon for a long time (had the same number since 1993 and Verizon for a big part of that time).  We have had a family plan for our boys, my wife and I with I phones, air cards, I-pads you name it. I had a single air card on a different account for using at work and never used it, so when my wife and I visited a store to upgrade her phone, I decided to cancel the card.
This was in January 2012 and when I asked at the counter what I needed to do to close it.  I was told that I owed a couple of months and there was a couple of months more on the contract and I said "ok whatever is left".  They charged me and said, ok sir, it is all taken care of.  I paid $176 that day and have the receipt. 
Fast forward to March.  They send me a bill for $75, to which I respond by calling and talking with Customer Service.  They say, well let us call the store to verify.  Then they call me back the next day and say Well the store verifies so we will remove this from your account.
Fast forward to May and I get another Bill --- so repeat the process and call the customer service dept.   We talk, and then supervisors for what was probably hours.  Result was "we are so sorry sir, we will credit your account right away".
Another Fast Forward to June.  I get a bill for $140 (late fees now).  We have a longer discussion, more supervisors and end up with "You are right, we talked with the store and they can't remember, so we are going to go ahead and credit this for you....Give us a call on Monday just to confirm everything"
That next day, "sir I am so sorry you had to go through all of this, I will personally take care of this for you...you may not know me, but I stand behind my promises, so don't worry" (seriously).
Fast forward to September  Collections Notice from CBE  (wow really?)
Called and explained it should have been credited and told they could see all the notes in the file and that a credit was applied, but I would have to call back during the week.
Just called today and spent two hours being on hold and having repeated new people read through the file.  Finally ending with Helen who says "I'm sorry, sir but you have an outstanding bill.  I said what do you mean, it should all be in the notes, I have been told countless times it was all going to be credited.  She says "No I don't see that here".  I ask for a supervisor and she says she is sorry they have left for the evening (My call started at 3pm and this is now 4:45pm).  She says I need to put you on hold for a few minutes...10 minutes she gets back on the line and says "sir I am filling out a form, you should get a call from a supervisor in 24 to 48 hours"  I said "I am trying so hard to be nice, but I am extremely frustrated with this whole thing and considering switching our family plan to any other company that values a loyal customer".  She says, well I am sorry sir, but I just can't help you. 
This company is so big and so out of touch and now stepping on me for a wrongful $75 and stand to lose $325 a month for the next 10 year easy (3 cell phones and an air card).  If I was their manager, I would do anything I could to keep a loyal customer that had been with us so long (not to mention not billing for things that have been paid and agreed to be taken care of)
I don't think I can take another 30 minutes of being on hold and listening to that same music only to explain everything to the next rep.  At this point my only option is to email the local tv station customer advocate Jesse Jones.  And then to start the process of switching our accounts to another company (I can hardly wait).  It is too bad a good customer was driven to leave.

    Change of Credit Card information for creative cloud membership
    1) Login to creative.adobe.com.
    2) Click on the manage my subscription.
    3) Edit my billing information
    For Invoice
    1) Login to adobe.com
    2) go to my orders and select the order number and print the invoice from there

  • Switching basic phone and smart phone between members of family plan.

    I am considering switching my basic phone with my son's smart phone.  He would like to have my phone under his current number and vice versa.  I have found the online instructions through My Verizon.  He is the only one in the family plan with a smart phone (the rest of us are all basic phones). Do you think Verizon will automatically switch my son's data package to my number? or will I have to contact verizon/go into a verizon store to do so?
    This excerpt from the instructions makes me think phone calls and/or visit to the verizon store may be necessary:
    "switch devices between two compatible plans on your account. Each person keeps their phone number and plan, but will have the swapped device."
    Since I have a basic phone with no data package, are our plans non-compatible?

    You can still switch phones.  The only problem I see is if he currently has an unlimited plan in which case that may be lost and you'll need to choose the 2, 5 or 10GB plan for your line. Probably best to just call customer service from a different device to make sure everything gets set up correctly.

    Hi,
    I’m not able to send a record to other process step with other roles in a WF.
    When USER 1 logs on it’s possible to send the record to the next process step where USER 2 is assigned. When USER 2 logs on, the user is not able to send it anywhere, the iView is empty.
    It’s the same problem when we press the history button. In the first step of the WF it’s possible to see history. In the second step the history iView is empty.
    Any ideas?

    I've seen issues like this as well.  There are a variety of issues that came out of the SP06 Patch 2 upgrade which effect the MDM workflow and Portal UWL.  I would recommend checking out the latest hotfix as I think it resolves a lot of these problems.  The latest build is 5.5.62.50 (5.5 SP06 Patch 2 Hotfix 4).  They released four hotfixes within a month (I think) so my guess is they are aware of the issues with SP06.

    In the process of trying to back the Lacie External Hard drive which has 50 + gigs of valuable information, the computer locked up and it had to be shutdown. The power was turned off and turned back on. I purchased Disk Warrior and was able to regain access to all of my files. I then went to backup the disk. Itunes was open with nothing playing and mydesktop went blank. Everything on the computer was acting funny. I could not close itunes (it kept coming back) nor would things open. I also can not shut down the computer and the external drive is still connected so Im afraid it may do irreparable damage if I shut it down hard. Mac even identified that it needed to shutdown and said (Shutdown in 60 seconds, counted down and nothing happened). Can someone please advise me on my best course of action to try and cleanly shutdown the computer and reboot (Hopefully, it will remount the desktop). I am fairly new to Mac's so I would appreciate any help I can get. thanks.

    Hi Scott, not a warm fuzzy feeling I'm sure. So you were backing up your mac and POOFF!!! Everything from there was all screwed up....Did I get that right? The first thing I would do is insert the install disc and restart the computer..If you have to shut it down by holding the power button...do it. Restart and hold the "C" key down after you hear the tone and release it when you see the Apple logo. Choose your language and when the install screen comes up choose "Utilities>disk utilities"....Repair Disc and then repair permissions. Close and quit installer.
    The data on your computer should have been untouched by the back-up operation. It is just copying your Macintosh HD to the Lacie. What program were you using??? In the future you can open the activity monitor located Applications>Utilities>Activity Monitor and select Active processes ---if it opens in your dock but not on your desktop, click the dock icon---this will show you what is working at the time and if its not responding. ---Just because its not responding doesn't mean its locked up. But from here you could have chosen the iTunes that would not quit and forced it to quit...same with any program running--BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SHUT DOWN--if you don't know what it is leave it alone or get on the web and find out.
    There are many more things that could be the problem but try these first and get back I'll try to get ya going...

  • My daughter lost her phone.  It is still ringing when called and is showing up on our family locator.  Is there anyway to pinpoint where it is?  She didn't have icloud find my phone turned on when the phone was lost.

    My daughter lost her iphone.  I can locate it with verizon family locator, as it is still working, but this doesn't pinpoint it well enough for us to find it.  She did not have the find my iphone in icloud turned on when the phone was lost.  Is there any way to change the settings on her phone from a pc so I can turn this on?

    If the iphone is a device which is using the iOS 7.0.4 then the 'find my device' is turned on by default. With this being said if you will go to www.icloud.com and login with your apple id login which is assocaited with the device icloud will pinpoint the device within a 10 meter radius.

    Hi,
    You won't see any projects for planning in Shared Services, you can manually create one in shared services and when you create a new planning application you can apply it against that project.
    If you are using classic planning your first steps are to create a database/schema for the planning application, create a new datasource in the hyperion config utility.
    Then go to http://<planning machine>:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp

    My phone is the primary line for a three-line family plan I share with my wife and brother. My two years is up this month, my wife's two years is up next month, and my brother's is up the month after that. One caveat: I'm abroad right now, so I simply want my service to lapse completely until I return in six months, and I'll worry about my phone then.     Hi,  I was just looking into similar circumstances but I want to keep my daughter's line and only suspend mine.  My question is that if I suspend my phone can I still upgrade my daughter's line?  I was laid off and if I don't find another job then I want to cancel my phone but keep her phone active.  Her last phone the screen shattered so I want to renew her contract to get a new phone.  I am thinking of going thru the edge plan since it seems the price with the discount works out to be the same if I go that way instead of paying the full discounted price outright.  Can I upgrade her phone without renewing the contract on my phone?

    Have each of the account owners contact Verizon to let them know that you will be doing an AOL on your lines. Then you call Verizon and explain what you want to do. Just that easy. But understand you'll have to get the new Share everything plan.

    Assuming the phone isn't jailbroken, the basic steps (as needed) are:
    Restart phone (you already did this)
    Reset phone
    Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
    Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
    See appendix B of the User Guide for details

    If your phone is jailbroken, this is the most frequent cause of the problems you described.  Restoring could permanently brick the phone.
    Note that your iOS is old and the current version is 4.2.8.  It's odd that it wasn't updated when your activated your phone in iTunes, being that you got it last Friday.

    This practise is obviously widespread. Adobe are 'sorry to see you go' so much that they are willing to stoop to unethical methods to prevent you from unsubscribing.
    My university is considering licensing the Adobe Connect product, and I'll do everything I can in my capacity as a Learning Technology Coordinator to prevent this from happening. If I'm successful, Adobe will lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue over the next 3 to 5 years, and my university will not be subjected to this sort of inferior/corrupt conduct.
    Good bye Adobe. I've given up trying to cancel my subscription and have instructed my bank to put a stop on all Adobe transactions. I will also be complaining to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, with plenty of evidence.

    If nothing helps, you need to contact Verizon for information for an exchange or refund. This is a user to user forum, not Apple.
    Apple's policy for a refund or exchange is within 14 days of purchase. Verizon's policy may be different.
    Definitely try restoring .. hopefully you won't have to go through the hassle of an exchange.

    In the early days of digital video editing, an export render could take hours!  Not many applications are as hard on system resources as video editing, and rendering the final edit is probably the most system intense action of all.
