My god i think im DOOMED!!!

Ok,
So my wife got a shuffle, all fine and dandy. Easy to manage even with my nano as well.
So itunes seems to have decided to reorganize my entire music directory. 500+ albums over the last several years, all nicely categorized by album name - artist name inside the songs in mp3 format, you know the usual song title, album title etc.
Now they are scattered all over like someone took the whole hard drive and shook it like an etch a sketch.
The chances of me reorganizing the music is well…Impossible, there is about 25,000 songs!
Does anyone have some hope for me?

You might take a look at one of the organiser programs out there. Try Googling MP3 files organizer.
You get a lot of hits including this:

I haven't tried one myself though. Of course if you go down this route, you would have to start your itunes library database from scratch as it wouldn't know where anything was.

Oh dear god i think i broke my ipod!!

i have a 2gb nano and i pluged it into my computer today and every thing was fine until i accidentaly hit the backspace button when my ipod was highlighted

Hard drive died on my iMac how to retrieve from Time Machine

HI,
My Hard drive died on our iMac (we were on Snow Leopard). We replaced it with a larger Hard drive and the Tech put Lion on it. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do I retrieve my entire back up from the Time Capsule.... I search and read something about a Recovery HD? Do I have to have this? Also as noted above, I have the Snow Leopard from when we got teh iMac, but are on Lion now.....

LOL - I think I have a different/new related problem....
The instrucitons don't say anything about timemachine, but I read somewhere that you need to stop a back up when you get a new computer and want to transfer files.... and that the migration rebuilds the data from the latest successful back up...(thats a little back ground).
Where I am now:
last night the migrations said it would take 29 hrs. No problem....this morning there was not much change in that (considering 8+hours had passed) but did not think much of that either...
I was browsing on the internet and suddenly I get a notifiaiton that the back up failed! oh god I think - surely its not supposed to back up while its migrating....?!?
then a few minutes later the migration window says it has 49 hrs to go...
then a little later it says its finished...so I check the folders - nothing is there....so I start to get a little concerned....and decide to start over.
so I start the migration process and when I get to the window where it asks where to put the stuff from the migration, I assume I am doing the same thing so click the same thing I did last time and it tells me you already have stuff there...wha? but I just checked...there is nothing there - so I know I am doing something wrong and back track - AHA - it has put everything into a user account called XXX. so I decide to log out and see what's happening....sure enough another user account has appeared....and it has the same icon as our old stuff ! yay...!
but heres the rub: we previously only had 1 user account for the whole household, with one password which we did not even have to use....when the hard drive crashed, the repair guy created a user account under MY name, and used our old password. Did not think much of it but when I logged out as ME and tried to log is as US (the old User Account), it would not accept the old password!...So now what....?

Little Problem understanding "extends"

I think I'll never understand how to use the extend-statement. First of all my code:

So I had a deeper look at java.awt.Desktop and found a "private constructor Desktop".
And now my question:
Why is it not possible to get a sub-class of a class with private constructor if the class itself
is public? In the tutorials I found that the sub-class will have all methods defined in the parent
class except the constructor. But if the sub-class will not get the constructor why is it a problem
if the constructor of the parent class is private?
Does anybody know how to explain that to me?

[resolved] RAM detected issue in EEEPC 1215b

Hi, guys
I recently bought a new asus epc 1215b netbook, i'm satisfied with its low price and new APU architecture, equiped with a E450 processor + HD 6320 graphic card + 2G DDR3 RAM.
But when i run 'free -M', arch tell me the total memory is 1610Mib, this really suprise and confuse me. I suspect whether this is a memory hardware issue or motherboard issue. After change to another 2G ram, this result is the same. So, the original ram has no isssue.
Hope someone here can kindly tell me if this is a feather in AMD apu architecture, I mean some memory is reserved for gma card(oh ,godness, I think myshef funny when say this and never come to this situation befor especially I always use Intel onboard graphic card, the memory is shared and should be displayed fully in free -m command's outputs ) or really some issue in motherboard(or memory cotroler within CPU?)?
The best is if someone also use the box of the same model could tell me the result in your endpoint.
Highly apreciate for your help.

When bios slash, it displays 2048M memory installed, and then, grub will report about 1680 memory available.
I hear some others who owned this laptop as well also report the same situation, so I guess this probabaly caused by some memory is reserved and dedicate to GPU. But extremly hope someone could share your free -m to me in order to clarify this issue.

How do I Fix This XML Error From my corrupt Premiere Project?

So I've been trying to recover a corrupt Premiere Pro CC project for the past 3 and a half hours and I think I'm almost there. I kept getting the error "The Project appears to be damaged, it cannot be opened."
Back Story & Info
After hours of searching and trying to repair the project I stumbled upon a thread that said to use an app called "XMLWrench" to repair the raw XML file of the project.
Upon trying to open the project's XML data in XMLWrench I was greeted with complete and utter non-sense code composed of 90% random symbols and alien looking text. But, upon further research I found out that Premiere Pro CC vs CS6 stores the XML data in a some what compressed format. So what I did was add the file extension ".zip" to the end of my project and tried to extract it. Success! The extracted file was the un-compressed XML file which I was able to open and recognize as a Premiere Project.
Now here's where I need help
Now that I can import the XML file from the project into XMLWrench I'm able to scan it for errors. Apparently there appears to be only one. (Thank god, I think...). I'll add an image of the error message below along with a download link to the actually XML file to examine.

i was able to rename extension to .prproj and it opened in premiere. what happens if you do that? i did open and save it from notepad++, but that shouldn't have done anything to the file...

I think I've had that problem occasionally with previous versions. As a workaround, do the hidden attachments become visible if you try to forward the email?

I am using Yosemite 10.10 can get update of 10.10.1

On my iMac , I used the beta version of Yosemite right through until the release without problems. Since the release of 10.10 I have been having issues with a number of things not the least of which my newer versions of PSE 12 and Premier Elements won boot up, giving me a config error 16. PSE 11 seems to work fine. I have also been having issues with software updates in which they appear in the Updates list and when I click on them they appear in the Installed in the last 30 Days List. This is bazaar and continues to this day. When I got wind of the 10.10.1 OS X update I immediately installed it on my MacBook pro that did't run the beta version of OS X and it installed beautifully and runs all my Adobe PSE etc without issue as it always has. Meanwhile on my iMac, OS X 10.10.1 doesn't even appear on the updates list so I can't download it. I went to the Apple downloads page and downloaded the 10.10.1 update onto my desktop and when I went to install it it gave me an error message saying "OS X Update can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet he requirements for this update" Did something happen during the 10.10 install yo cause this. Where do I go from here to make thing right.

Thanks baltwo I did that and ran Disk Utility in recovery to repair permissions some were repaired but I noted a comment about SUID file be modified. In any case I tried to install the 10.10.1 update and it wouldn't work as per the earlier error msg. I then ran DiskWarrior to repair files and permissions and got the following report, I think Im doomed.

Social 1.5(215) bugs

Hi all,
I upgraded my N8 Belle with Social update. Since then, I've noticed some bug on my agenda / messages incoming. Name of contact is not shown on the chatting view just phone number (but name is shown on folders view...¿?).
In addition, some facebook contacts are not appearing on this Social update -they did before-. So I can't comunicate with them nor sync them with phone agenda.
Please solve this bugs!!!

Just updated to New Social ver 1.5.215 and guess what just within a sec after openeing it i founded a bug. Oh god i think Nokia doesn't even cares to check there software before releasing it.
I'm having a serious bug, I don't know its only me or some of you may have the same issue.
When i try to drag the page by placing my finger on the image [not on the profile pic] , only the image moves over the screen wierd, leaving everthing on the screen as it is. when i lift my finger the whole page moves. This is a serious bug and Nokia thanks for the buggy update.
Please let me know if you guys are also having the same problem.

Fix your Photo Syncronizing

I have been trying to upload my photos to my computer. All of my god **** programs think my phone doesnt have any photos. I have 47 photos. Iphoto, image capture, and itunes wont import my photos.

Thanks for posting this solution. I was ging a little nuts after updating iPhoto 10 to 11. Is don't know what is going on with this new version but it certainly had messed up a lot of users' files.
I kept trying to restore my library with and old Time Machine backup but every time I did that, the same thing happened: an alert message saying my file could not be opened because blah, blah, blah, followed by another message saying that my "iPhoto library was damaged..." You know the rest. I did that twice before finding your post.
It would be nice if Apple could have proviced these instructions, instead of telling everyone to restore from a backup. This was a big help. Thanks for posting it.

ADC power adapter crashes G4 on start up

Hi there,
I recently bought the Apple DVI to ADC adapter to run with my 23'HD Apple ADC display. I have the ATI Radeon 9000 Pro which has both ADC and DVI out and both ports work.
My goal was to plug a PC and my G4 into a DVI switcher box and then out put the signal to my 23'ADC monitor via the newly acquired DVI to ADC adapter.
The PC signal works through the switcher box and looks great on the ADC monitor. The G4 however automatically shuts itself down when trying to boot up.
I have tried all the combinations below:
ADC monitor to G4 via ADC = works
ADC monitor using DVI adapter to G4 via DVI (no switcherbox) = works
LCD monitor to switcher box using DVI, then to G4 via DVI = works
ADC monitor using DVI adapter to switcher box, then to PC via DVI = works
ADC monitor using DVI adapter to switcher box, then to G4 via DVI = doesn't work!
Why on earth does the PC work and not the G4?
Is this a graphics card problem?
Is the G4 trying to draw power, is that what's causing the crashes on start up?
Do I have to clear the PRAM or some other key command on start up?
Any help would be much appreciated as this is seriously doing my head in!
PS All drivers are up to date

I didn't think it had anything to do with usb signal via the switcher box because I was successful in running the "LCD monitor to switcher box using DVI, then to G4 via DVI = works" combination and all worked fine. Unless it has something to do with ADC and USB working together but the signal is no longer an ADC one anyway?
The one variable I was not able to check was the frakin' graphics card. While racking my brain the other night after 4 hours of unsuccessful configuring, I kept coming back to the graphics card and the idea that ADC part of the card is interfering some how. Obviously I'm no computer technician though have worked with macs for years and have much experience in the old trial and error method when trying to establish hardware and software issues.
So fortunately, my old dual 500MHz G4 had an 8 year old ATI 128 Rage card with a VGA and DVI out out. I plugged it in all worked startight off the bat and have had no issues since. Thank the Gods
To think that I had to swap my newer generation card for an old one, really ticks me off but in the end all is working and am so thankful that I had a spare card...and that I approached the problem laterally.
If anyone has any clues as to how I could get my ATI Radeon 9000 Pro to work in the previously posted combination, I'd still be keen to hear.

A bunch of totally different questions
iPhoto is an application and it is in your applications folder - is it there? It must be in teh Applications folder on your boot drive - it can not be on an external drive
The photos are kept in the iPhoto library (by default and highly recommended) - is that what you deleted? It can be anyplace by by default it is in your pictrues folder
Time Machine is a backup program that backuse your your Mac - you do NOT directly access its backup files but you use the Time Machine application to restore files - see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US for details
Your post is not at all clear as to what you have or what you want to do
If in fact you do have a copy of the photos on an external hard drive as you say you thikyou do them you launch iPhoto and import them to iPhoto (file menu import -- or drag them to the iPhoto icon in the Dock)
If you have a time machine backup of your iPhoto library and you want to use that then you launch TM and go to the time you wna tto restore from, select the iPhoto library and click restore
If the above does not cover what you have and what you want please post back with exact details of what you have and what you want to do

[MSI PRO MOD] At Doom's gate

Long ago i have this idea in my mind, but didn´t know how execute in a case mod. After several times thinking how to do it, i see the opportunity for this contest. I guess the image is obvious, but beyond that, i want to do a casemod based in doom universe, more exactly the "inferno" where the creatures live. For this reason i got material and images from doom I, II & III. I'm a big fan of the game and after know the news of new Doom something inside me revived, making me feel excited again. I hope you like it, the design has long time, and many modifications, so i could get, i hope, the best version of my casemod.

- MSI GTX N460 cyclone
"At Doom's gate" is the first episode of Doom I, where all invasion begins. Is the first time we enter in the hangar and start shooting to demons coming from other dimension. Check to watch a casemod coming from the other dimension and possessed by demoniac flesh.
