I love the computer however now I have just noticed that when i plug my headphones in (Bose Quiet comfort 15 headphones) to listern to youtube or itunes, or any media player it sounds like the main voices are echo'd or are distant. I have reinstalled Beats & IDT High Definition Audio CODEC however the problem stil exists?
I have looked at so many forums and websites and its not as easy as turning off the playback system as on beats I cant do this (It wont alow me to toggle the tick box) and on the speaker icon when i go to playback options it comes up with communication headphones??? Im not an IT genius however I need some serious help in resolving this.
I just want to listen to music the way it should sound.

So, it seems like it actually is that the screen itself went black... I tried earlier with another monitor plugged in, but forgot that I had my try crypt password asked at startup. Because of that, I did never get any signal to that extra monitor. Now, I just tested to write the password on startup, and voilá, I get a picture in the other monitor.
This means that I do NOT have a problem with my BIOS, but with my screen. It is not listed under windows either when I try to adjust screen resolution and I cannot get into BIOS, as I cannot see anything in the other screen before getting to windows. Any pointers?

I have noticed that when using Tigers disk utility to format an external USB flash drive I only have the choice of FAT ( when formatting for use on a Windows machine ) and not FAT32. I have found that USB FLASH drives formatted as FAT do not always work on Windows machines. Why? How can I use Tiger to format for FAT32?

I think it depends on the size of the Flash Drive as to whether it uses FAT16 or FAT32.
Can you format it FAT32 on the PC?

I have no audio when using chrome. I have audio when using Internet explorer and when playing from my pc. I have tried uninstalling chrome and flash player then reinstalling them. have tried FAQ on chromes site and Adobe's site. did not work.

Since the last ATV software update, I have had problems playing You Tube content from the iPad to the ATV using airplay, yet the same content from the You Tube channel on the ATV plays fine. I get the dreaded "HDCP error" which is nonsense, as YouTube content does not have this protection. Netflix also gives the same error. (I have posted seperately about this problem.)
I have had a couple of years of fault-free playing with my setup, the only thing that has changed is the Apple ATV software. Ergo, they need to fix whatever bug they introduced. None of the recommended "fixes" have worked.

You might try talking to the Apple store manager and see if you don't get more help...you might also contact Apple.com/support and see if they can give you a contact with the Apple Italy offices.
Sounds like you have two levels of failure, the first shop that did the repair and broke a wire, and the second that has disabled something else and isn't helping.
Apple officially refurbished equipment is usually good quality. Surprising this has happened but you need to press on with complaints and try for resolution.

Receiving Error 550 when using Exchange via another software application.

Here's a good one (and I hope I'm able to explain this correctly)....
I work at a hospital where we have a gym facility that is open to employees and also to the public. We use a client management system called Twin Oaks. This Twin Oaks software has email functionality that uses an Exchange user account to send
group emails out to clients (this avoids the front desk staffers from having to create email distro groups in Outlook to send out mass emails).
I worked with the Twin Oaks support staff to get the email integration set up with our Exchange server (it was an easy process, entering the SMTP server name then a few other basic settings).
Emailing through the Twin Oaks software works, but only to clients who have INTERNAL hospital email addresses. The messages are failing to go out to any client that has an external email address (Error 550 states the address is unavailable).
Twin Oaks' response to this is that we have some type of firewall that is preventing the delivery of these emails to external addresses. This is not the case and I can't seem to find any reason that would prevent the mails from going out. We
can email external addresses direct from the generic account we set up for this purpose, but for some reason, the mails are not going when they are sent through Twin Oaks application.
We are using Exchange Server 2010. I can't find any transport settings or policies that would prevent emails from going to external addresses and am stumped as to why this isn't working.
Has anyone else experienced these types of issues when using Exchange through another software application to send messages?
Any responses would be greatly appreciated!

Based on the description, you could send email to external addresses without the Twin Oaks software. However, with the Twin Oaks software, you couldn't send successfully.
For this issue, I recommend you enable message tracking and check whether you could retrieve message tracking log entires when you send emails to external addresses through the Twin Oaks software.
If you couldn't retrieve message these tracking log entires when you send emails to external addresses through the Twin Oaks software, it means that the Exchange server is OK and the crux of the problem is the Twin Oaks software.

I'm not aware of any application that will allow this. Most applications won't launch until after you login (which would include any utility that could do this). I'm not sure how much use there would be for something like this. For obvious reasons, a spoken password isn't particularly secure. I would imagine a blind person using a computer would still be able to manually enter a password. I would make sense for folks with other types of disabilities I suppose... so long as there isn't anyone around whenever they use their password.

Illustrator CS6 on Mac Yosemite keeps unhiding when minimizing or maximizing any other application from the dock

I am running Adobe Illustrator CS6 on my Mac, I just upgraded to Yosemite OS and when I have Illustrator hidden and then minimize any other application to the dock - Illustrator pops back up. The same happens when I restore/maximize any other application that is minimized in the dock - Illustrator pops back up. However, if I have Illustrator minimized to the dock (not hidden) it doesn't do it. Illustrator is the only app that does this - Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc... are all fine. It's not life threatening, just annoying. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Odd... and you have only 1 instance of the apps (in other words you don't have Office 2008 anywhere on the system)?

Need help please- X-fi card having echo when using Microph

Hi all. Please forgive me in advance, I'll try to be as detailed as possible. I recently purchased a Dell XPS 70 machine that came with a creative X-Fi sound card. I downloaded and installed Ventrillo (team speak) and installed as normal. Got all the settings correct and everything works fine after some tuning. My problem is though every time the microphone is on (either in ventrillo or just working in Windows)I can hear myself in my speakers/headphones, like an echo. I have tried everything I can to get rid of this as it makes it very difficult to use Ventrillo when I hear nothing but myself talking. I have uninstalled the card, reinstalled the drivers, gotten the newest drivers, tweaked around with the sound menus in both windows and the creative menus that came with it and nothing seems to fix it except muting the microphone. That's all well and good when I'm not using it to communicate, but when I am it makes it very difficult. Does anyone have any fixes for this or know what is causing this? At this point I'm considering putting my 3 year old Audigy into my new machine just to avoid this garbage. Thanks in advance?using Intel core 2 Duo 6600nvida motherboard

How do I stop Firefox from creating untitled web pages when I try to send email from a web page. The only way I have found is to turn the computor off and then reboot. I don't have this problem when using Internet Explorer

Every time I click on a web site that has an email option the browser starts making untitled web pages and never stops unless I turn the computer off. It is very frustrating to not be able to use an email option when offered by a web site. The only way I can send email messages on the Firefox browser is to go into my hotmail acct. and copy and paste the addresses. I don't have this problem when I use the Internet Explorer browser.

I have a problem when using Google Maps, at some point my computer blanks the window and says there's a problem with display drivers, and it has recovered,but it doesn't. Problem doesn't happen with Int Explorrer, so I do not believe it is the computer

When using google maps through Firefox, after asking for a place which is not the general North America section which routinely comes up, the firefox screen goes white, with a narrow banner at the top. A message appears in the lower right corner which says something about display drivers having had a problem, but now have recovered. However the display doesn't recover and the banner message is that Firefox is not responding. When I go to restart Firefox if I go to the restore point, the page is still frozen out.
I do not believe it is a problem with my computer because it doesn't happen if I use I.E. to go to google maps, then G-maps works normally.
This phenomenon did not happen before the latest upgrade to either Google or Firefox. I have used Fiefox for a number of years and also Google Maps on previous computers and on this one, and not had this before.
This is a relatively young computer (Asus EeSlate 121) less than a year old. I have used Firefox since I bought it and until recently had no problem with Google Maps.

I solved it myself, after the "note" which came back from FF/Mozilla just as I finished my message, commenting on what it was that my system had , I wnnt back to check my plug-ins etc. I downloaded the latest Java, BOTH 32bit AND 64 bit versions and latest Firefox.
Now all is working.
