My hotmail account isn't working so they advised me to upgrade my Firefox which I tried to do but the new version wouldn't download and I got a "corrupt file" message.
I tried to upgrade to a newer Firefox system because Hotmail told me they no longer supported my Firefox, but when I tried to upgrade, following the download, I got a message that said "corrupt file."

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:

and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

I tried playing a you tube video, but received a message prompt to download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. The link to Adobe stated that there are issues with MAC OS X 10.7 and Flash Player 10.3. The new version did not download. Any Suggestion

Since I'd installed the new version of iTunes, iCal and Address book do not sync with my iPhone 3GS through iTunes anymore and I get an error message stating that iTunes can not sync with this iPhone. Was must i do to correct this issue and if i must, how dI reintall iTunes without loosing my content?

error message: itunes library .itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version. I downloaded and in stalled the latest version of itunes and it did not help. What now?
Perhaps check to see if you're accidentally running two different versions of iTunes. There's some information on troubleshooting that in the Opening iTunes section of the following document:

I have upgraded Safari in my Mac, but the new Safari does not work with my system. So I find myself without any working browser. How can I solve this problem and/or install my previous Safari version?
Reinstall Safari 5.1.10 for OS X 10.6.8: http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1569. Might do the trick.
But, frankly, I don't think that simply reinstalling the old Safari will work because of all the peripheral, under the hood changes that happen when you upgrade from one version of Safari to another. Reinstalling 5.1.10 may be insufficient to turn back the clock. (This is the moment where a Time Machine or another form of full backup would save your bacon.)
While you're getting a copy of Safari 5.1.10, get a copy of Firefox (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/desktop/), too, so that you have an alternate browser to use as you're sorting matters. -

I am a Volkswagen employee using a computer supplied by the US. I am living and working here in Germany and stationed at VW headquarters. My computer is connected to the VW US network via the VW Germany network. Normally, I can get all my emails and everything perfect through Outlook and I can use Google Chrome or Internet Explorer to get to internal VW US web pages. But I cannot get to pages such as google or ebay (just examples). The fix that VW US recommends is to use Firefox (something about a proxy server issue). Well, I have been for the last few months and it has been working great. Well, I noticed a problem with the bookmarks menu always disappearing on me unless I kept the mouse pointer moving so I decided to check for updates, which there was one available, and I got it. Now, Firefox acts like Google and Internet Explorer where I cant get to any web pages. The only alternative is logging in through my VW VPN and then I can get to all web pages (like I am doing now). But this slows the computer and makes printing take like 10 minutes. Can you help me get back to the old Firefox or make it so that the new one works like the old one in this regard?

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

I can t update my ipod 4th gen. for facebook because I uninsatalled the program itunes from my computer as it didn t work well it would freeze on me all the time. So i installed another version for windows 7 premium 64 bits, but when i tried to open it it wouldn t let me as it said it coudn t read the music library from the last version of i tunes . So I uninstalled it too. So Now I really don t know what to do ??????

I updated my Macbook Pro to Yosemite this morning, (it took almost 2 hours!), and now iPhoto tells me it's incompatable with Yosemite and I need to download the latest version. I've done that 3 times now and restarted twice, (just in case) and I still get the same message, incompatable...download the latest version of iPhoto.
Frustrating as ****!The "latest" version is a bit ambiguous. The App Store may be only showing you the latest version you bought, not the most recent version.
Which version did you download?
You need to install iPhoto 9.6 and launch this version. If you previously have been running a version of iPhoto 8.x.x., you cannot update, but need to buy the upgrade to iPhoto 9.6 from the "Featured" tab of the App Store..
Then launch iPhoto from the Applications folder. The Dock icon may still be tied to the older version.
Also, depending on the version you upgraded from, you may need to run the iPhoto Library Upgrader, if your iPhoto Library has been created by iPhoto 7.1.2 or earlier, see this link: iPhoto '11: About the Library Upgrader -
I downloaded Firefox but it will not start. It has not opened. I do not get a home page from Firefox. I do have an icon from a prior version of Firefox but when I click it, the system takes me to MSN.com home page.

Sounds like there might be an issue with an application that might be causing these issues. The reason I say that is, when the phone is in Safe Mode you are able to access the Settings screens with no issues. While in Safe Mode that does block all 3rd party applications from running on the phone. I would suggest on trying to back up the device and perform a factory reset: http://spr.ly/6-182Vuo (you would want to make sure to uncheck Automatic Restore in step 3). Once the reset is complete try to see if you can get into Settings. Then, I would recommend on adding 3rd party applications back on to the device one by one to see if we can find what app might be causing this issue. Tried to open a file I created in Numbers a while ago, which I modified on 11/4/13, and got a message that I needed a newer version of Numbers. When I went to the Mac App Store it shows that the new version is already installed and there doesn't seem to be a way to reinstall it. When I checked "About Numbers" on my MacBook it shows "Numbers '09 version 2.3". Any suggestions as to how I can get the new version installed?
Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there.

I am unable to open itune. I get this message "Service 'Apple Mobile Device(Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify tht you have sufficient privileges to start system service. I tried to download item again and was not able to do it. I got a message on my computor as I tried to down loan the new version of itunes 11.14 and I get a message to that MSVCR80.dll is missing and that I need to install it. How do I do that?

my hotmail account won't work anymore, it comes up but when I try to do an action (delete a message) it won't do anything, I've restarted the webpage and updated firefox but it keeps doing the same thing, this was not happening a few days agoWell, Hotmail no longer works with Firefox on my desktop. Strangely enough when I use my iPad to access hotmail I have the same problem if I set the browser to emulate firefox. I have not tried the firefox app for mobile yet. When my iPad is set to appear as mobile (generic) then firefox works.
Others at work have all had the same problem (and with Chrome but that is not something I want to use anyway). Some have switched to Opera as a temp solution.
Two said whern they disabled silverlight, firefox worked fine. I tried that and it did not. (I have had problems with Silverlight with firefox 10 & 11) I have tried disabling all extensions and plugins and adding one back at a time and so far no luck. My Google account works OK. Any suggestions not only welcome but might be life-savers. -
