My ichat messages are posted in gibberish!
This morning when I went to respond to an iChat, I couldn't read it because it was in some gibberish font (weird symbols). Then I tried typing a message, which I could read fine, until I posted it. My post was also in gibberish. I can't figure out what the deal is or how to fix it. Help!

I can send out messages in iChat in English, but everyone who replies to me comes out in Chinese. I have no idea why this is occurring, the font slect is correct and my language select is English. Can anyone help me?

As you rightly say deleting the .plist will revert the files to the default settings which will list Helvetica when examined in Property List Editor if you have Delveloper Tools installed.
However as Tom says Helvetica Fractions causes problems at a deeper level then would be fixed by this deletion.
There once was a post about this that included a link to a screen shot. It may have been so long ago that it was in iChat 2 and may have been acrchived off before November 14th 2005. It might pay to search to see if it it still there.

The Search for Helvetica Fractions does not make it obvious to me at present looking at some. I have sorted by date and looked at the older ones with no luck.
Tom may have a link as he was involved then which is how I learned of this.
The search does highlight how often this comes up.

In asynchronous interface, Error messages are not posted into tcode:ECH_MONI_SEL using collect method.

Have you created the FEH class for the proxy. In that, from within the PROCESS method, when there is an error you will be placing those errors into a table and this needs to be passed to the COLLECT method.

When setting up some iCloud info., agreed to merge iPhone and iPad contact info., and now most of my iPhone messages are listed by phone numbers, rather than by the person's name. Some of the names eventually showed up, but not many, and most of those now have the husband and wife's name together or just the family name (Millers, Smiths, etc.).
No, your iPhone and your iPad should not appear in the finder.
I'm not sure what you mean about downloading photos with iPhoto being double handling, but you can download direct to a folder with Image Capture. Image Capture can also be used to delete photos from the Camera Roll on the iPhone or iPad (preferrably after they are downloaded).
You can remove the photos you synced from your phone with iTunes by syncing again with an empty folder, That will delete all the photos that were previously synced that way, replacing them with the contents of the empty folder (that is, nothing). This will not effect photos takes with the camera on your iPhone. -
Buddies with multiple accounts on iChat/Messages
Ok, this seems like it should be an easy one, but I can't seem to figure it out. There are a few buddies that have two or three accounts. For instance, my sister has a gChat and AIM account. iChat/Messages groups both accounts into one (which is a really nice space-saving feature), but when I double-click on her name to chat, iChat automatically picks one for me (usually AIM).
Is it possible to choose which service you want to use to chat to someone with more than one account? It should be a lot more intuitive, but I just can't seem to figure it out. Anyone know?

Once you have the Chat window Open go to the "To" spot.
Her name will be a drop down and offer her other "names" and your "From" options (it is possible that not all combinations will work.).

I am unable to see any POP3 or IMAP tab when I set up an account in my iphone 4S. Hence by default all my email accounts become IMAP and the messages are deleted from the server when I delete them from the iphone.
ok sorry everyone but i solved it myself but the solution is so nuts i've posted it here to help others who have the same problem.
to setup a comcast imap account on your iphone:
go to mail, contacts, etc in settings
under accts, select add account
select "other"
new screen, choose "add mail account"
now on the new acct screen you must enter your name, email address and password for your GMAIL acct ! (yes i said your gmail acct !, or some other acct with a NON comcast address).
hit next
then the acct verifies
when verified a screen will open with all the acct settings for this acct AND @ the top of the screen are the 2 buttons > imap or POP
select imap and THEN CHANGE ALL THE ACCOUNT information to the comcast account !
then hit next and the account will take a couple minutes to verify but it will verify and now you have a comcast imap acct set up on your iphone. The problem must be that when the iphone sends the initial verify acct info to comcast (if you enter that information first) the comcast server is simply not setup yet to signal the iphone that there is an imap option. -

Deleting all emails for 1 of 2 email accounts in the Message area
Background:
I do not have Blackberry Enterprise ServerI have 2 email accounts setup on my Blackberry Pearl 8130:
1 personal Yahoo account and 1 work account
Everything works fine, I receive email for both accounts, all is good. Except that I get 200+ emails a day on my work account!I do not want to go in and delete work emails one by one or in groups The lowest number of days I can choose to choose in General Options -> Keep Messages is 15 days (and it looks like that is an overall setting, I would like 2 days for my work account and 3 months for my personal account which is a whole other question)
So, I deleted my work account from the Email Settings thinking that all emails linked to the work email account would ‘go away’, then I will just recreate the account later. BUT all the emails are still in the Messages area, all 1500+ work emails that I want to get rid of.
Question:How can I, without going 1 by 1 or in groups of emails, have all the emails in the Messages area deleted that are for a specific email account?I do want and need to keep my personal email on my phone so I can’t just in and “Delete Prior” as it will delete my personal emails that I need to keep on my phone
Any thoughts?
Or does it matter if at some point I end up with 10K emails? I'm not sure.

Go to Solution.Since you can't do a Delete Prior, the only other options is to hold down the SHIFT button (lower left button, may look like aA) to scroll and select groups of emails to delete. There isn't a way to only show emails from a certain group to delete. You can either delete all at once, Delete Prior by the date, or select groups of messages.

this will fix your conversations issue, but all your conversations will be deleted.
i think that you would agree, having your conversations working is much more important then keeping 10,000 text messages that are just cluttering up your device.
1. install rootsh onto your device by doing the following:
-if you dont have the Extras-Devel repository installed, then click on the link for each to auto-install it first.
-open your application manager (App. manager)
-select "Download" (this will be faster if you are on wifi)
-select "all"
-slide out your keyboard and type "rootsh"
-tap on rootsh
-tap on "I undertand and agree"
-tap on "continue" (it will download and install rootsh and show when it is done.)
-close application manager (App. manager)
2. Open your x-terminal (x-term)
-type "sudo gainroot"
-tap the return arrow
-you should see: "BusyBox v1.10.2 (Debian 3:1.10.2.blah, blah, blah"...and then "/home/user #")
if you see the above, then move on. If you see anything that pertains to something being open or beside the above, it means that your App. Manager is still running in the background or is not closed. make sure it is closed and then if necessary, reboot your device to be sure. if you rebooted, then after the reboot, start at step 2.
*when you see "/home/user #" then continue with the below:
-type "cd .rtcom-eventlogger"
-tap the return arrow
-type "sqlite3 el-v1.db .dump > el-v1.db.sql"
-tap the return arrow
-type "sqlite3 el-v1.db.new < el-v1.db.sql"
-tap the return arrow
-type "cp el-v1.db.new el-v1.db"
-tap the return arrow
-type "chown user el-v1.db"
-tap the return arrow
-type "chgrp users el-v1.db"
-tap the return arrow
Now close and/or re-open your Conversations app - the changes should be immediate!
it will be empty, but you should be able to see them now. there seems to be a bug that still needs to be fixed and is triggered when a sms that is recieved is bigger then 140 characters..."sometimes"

Problem in ABAP Proxy(sometimes XML Messages are not being created)

I am trying to send the data from ECC to CRM when post goods issue is done for a delivery from ECC side. I called my proxy method in BADI : DELIVERY_PUBLISH.
And after calling the method, I used commit work also.
But the problem is, some times it is working fine. and some times the XML messages are not getting created. When I go in debug, looks everything is fine.
I am unable to understand why this inconsistency.
Could you please help me out, do I need to take any more precautions.

If you have not checked in SXMB_MONI of ECC then may be messages are created but they are going into error and that's why you are not able to see any message in XI. -
Messages are present but I can't see them
Something happened that has affected one of my POP mail accounts. I was doing something (not sure what) and suddenly, all of the messages that were stored in the mailbox disappeared. Vanished. At the same time, an "arrow" appeared just to the left of the mailbox name, similar to the arrow that sits just to the left of global "Inbox." The arrow suggests there are subsidiary folders in the affected mailbox. When I click the arrow, it rotates 90 degrees (points down), but I still can't see my missing mail or other folders. Equally puzzling is that as new messages arrive for that mail account, the "new messages" counter next to the mailbox name increases as it should, but I still can't see the messages. Bottom line, messages are in there someplace -- I just can't seem to find them. Any suggestions on how to repair this problem?
Report the names of the files and folders present at the first level of the ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/ account folder.
In order to post the exact file names and avoid typing mistakes, proceed as follows. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/. With that folder open, if you’re looking at it in View > as List mode, first collapse any expanded folders so that the Finder only shows the files and folders at the first level. Now, do Edit > Select All (⌘A), then Edit > Copy (⌘C), and paste it in your reply to this post.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder. -

Out of Office Messages are Not Sent Out
Hi there,
I have an issue with Outlook's Out of Office feature. The Out of Office messages are not sent out (to both internal and external contacts) although it has been already turned on. Only one user is having this particular issue.
I've attempted these steps but the issue still persists.
a) Turning on OOO via OWA
b) Deleting the current profile and creating a new profile
Could anybody help me in this?

You issue might be related to this:

Some incoming messages are not received in outlook
Using Iphone 4.
Most of the time I receive messages from a POP account on the IPhone and on my Outlook2010 client. Once in a while I receive one or more on the IPhone and they never show up in Outlook.
This is DNSExist Squirrel mail server. The messages are not removed from the server account after they are received by the iPhone. Outlook is setup to remove the messages 1 day after they are received and appears to be doing so.
These messages come from different senders.
The Settings.Mail.Account.Advanced.DeleteFromServer setting is set to "Never".
Some of the messages appear to be flagged as received by IPhone in a way that make Outlook treat them like they have already been received.
I will post on DNSExist alsoI believe that the messages sill show up eventually.
While I've no experience using Outlook with POP3, I have experience with Outlook 2011 on Mac and 2010 on Windows with Microsoft Exchange. Both OS X and Windows Outlook appear to have a bug whereby they defer display of new messages for a seemingly random amount of time (even if you tell it to "Send/Receive Messages" by clicking on the item in the ribbon or from the menu). The messages are on the server, and, if you monitor the messages in the activity bar at the bottom of the Outlook window, it seems to see the messages and transfer them, but they simply don't show up in the application.
Some messages appear immediately, others don't. We've not been able to determine precisely what differentiates those that do and those that don't. Some messages don't appear in Outlook for hours after they post on the server.
This is widely observed throughout the company, and home users report similar behavior (again, I can't tell if they are using POP3 or not).
We've reported the bug to Microsoft.
Your iPhone is doing the right thing. I know of no current fix or work-around for the bug in Microsoft Outlook. -

And since then, i havent being able to set up more than one email and i subscribed for 4.
I have rebooted\,, sent service books and hard set the phone so many times.

From your post, I cannot quite tell if you did all of this, in exactly this way. Hence, with a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

hi, i'm using JDeveloper 10.1.2 and mySQL Server 4.1 i realized that i have to use JDeveloper to be able to set up DBAdapters for my BPEL process .. anyway, i created a new PartnerLink, i click on the Define Adapter Service icon, then i get the ADAPT
