If the battery is very low, it can take 15 minutes or maybe even longer befor you will see any response at all on the screen. If you have let the iPad charge for what you think is a sufficient length of time and it still hasn't shown any signs of life, try a reset and see if that will force it to start up.
Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo apperas on the screen and then let go of the buttons. If that still doesn't work, try charging the device again overnight. If it's still dean in the morning, try restoring the device with iTunes.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
If that doesn't work, make an appointment at an Apple Store and seek their guidance.

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.

i have a ipod touch 2g and after a restore none of my apps will restore because it says that i need a newer version of the ipod software to run them they all work fine till i did the restore . is there any way to get them back ?
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

The screen on my ipad air is black with the waiting, spinny thing circling around annd around. Every once in a while the apple comes on, but then goes back to the spinny thing. We tried holding down the two buttons together and plugging it in to itunes to do a factory reset but it says we need the password. We can't get to the screen to do the password so nothing can be done... help!

I was using my ipad and then suddenly it had the apple sign and it just stayed like that and then I put the charger in it and it stayed the same with the apple sign. I tried turning it on and off and pressing the home button but nothing seemed to work. It just stayed the same with the apple sign. I'm really worried bc I just got this now for christmas and I'm worried I might have done something. So can you please help ASAP. Thanks , it would really help.

I'm an oldtimer and have had this Mac for less than 2 yrs and have LOTS to learn - but I've climbed the curve a little. !'ve made several movies and published to YouTube and burned to disc using IDVD with reasonably good results. Each time I have added stills to my movies it has worked fine - but tonight, I'm suddenly unable to add them. I click "Photos" - select my photo - left click the photo and drag into the project while holding the click. Have the green "+" and the green highlight and even get the green vertical bar in the project but when I release the click, the photo simply disappears! One "clue" here may be this: I was able to add one still to this project and the only diff between it and the other still thumbnails now is that there is a "green check mark" on the thumbnail of the one successfully added. Any suggestions? (I do have the "advanced tools" option selected in IMovie Preferences.)

My first thoughts are
• iMovie ill behaving - Trash the iMovie pref file - use to set things right
• in reg. to Photos - Did You change iPhoto Photo Library - Then iMovie get's lost as it peeks into iPhoto on start up to see where photos are stored. Set iPhoto back to first Photo Library (when iMovie is not running) then start iMovie.

Have you tried a reset to see if that will start the iPad?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
My iPhone is in recovery mode, I was trying to update io5.
