Try resetting your iPad by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

my iphone 4s is 1 day old i was playing draw something on it, it had 96% battery on it but it just went off now it wont come back on. even my computer is not detecting it when i plug it in to that. any ideas why and can it be reset like my ipod can?

If you didn't see anything at all your phone has defective hardware. Connect to the charger again, and while connected hold both buttons. For months now I have had no problems with my wireless. Then all of a sudden a few days ago I was on my laptop and my xbox 360 at the same time (both wireless like I always do) and they both lost internet connection. Both laptops and xbox 360 in the house get an Excellent signal from my router but none of them will get an internet connection. The wireless light is lit up but it is just solid and not flashing like it was transfering data. I restored factory defaults, reset the router, everything that normally worked to fix it in the past isnt working for me now. Oh and im wired connected to it now and its perfect.

Was on the phone in my car on the handsfree, then all of a sudden got disconnected. looked at my iphone 4 and it switched off. got home and tried charging it up and nothing happened, then tried plugging it into my pc to do a restore or see if i get any life and nothing !
got no phone now and because you have to have a micro sim you have to de activate your regular size sim. so now got no sim to put into a normal phone.

I was with my friend who had the same problem with his iPhone 4 today and as I was researching the problem I tried all the tricks and nothing seemed to work.
Until I came across some info that suggested the problem was with a proximity sensor.
Basically his phone was on(when someone called it would ring on their end instead of going straight to voicemail), but not respond tto touch or anything.
So I held the power button and slid my finger across the screen as if to "switch" it off even though the screen was blank and waited before holding the button again to turn it back on.
Once I did this it booted back up as if nothing happened.
Hope this is the same problem, good luck.

Yesterday, I accidently turned my iPhone's brightness all the way down which caused the screen to go black. The phone is on because I can take screenshots and lock and unlock the lock screen. Also im getting notifications but cant see them. Ive tried everything from taking the battery out to calling Apple Customer Service, but the screen is still black. HELP!!?

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.
