Your apps are stored in your iTunes Library on your computer. If you recover the iPad or purchase a new one just re sync your apps / music etc.

Try resetting the Winsock key. You will have to locate Command Prompt in Windows 8 (in Windows 7 its in Start>All Programs>Accessories), then right-click on it and choose Run as Administrator.** Once in command prompt, type "netsh winsock reset" (without the quotes) and press Enter. I have the exact same problem. I did the update on my iPhone 5 yesterday, opted for the iCloud set up in the update and then it wiped my contacts. They are not on my phone or in the cloud...

After an erroneous contacts delete on the mac, they've been removed from icloud and all the synced devices. I was able to restore the contacts from a backup, but since the iCloud version is newer than the backuped one, they are deleted every iCloud sync

An iCloud backup will save the state of your Camera Roll at the time of the backup but, if you delete photos from the Camera Roll, they will not be in the next backup taken.
If you are using the iCloud Photo Library (beta) read this FAQ which will tell you what happens when you delete photos from one of the devices sharing the Photo Library.

We want to make sure that we get your phone up and running. Can you look to see where you have the most stuff stored at. Settings>General>Usage>Storage.
This will tell you what exactly is using everything. Then you can delete things from there.

Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

Thank You roaminggnome, I don't think I turned Find My Phone app on on my phone, but I did turn it on on my laptop. I deleted my contacts list and Hope that Iit somehow deleted my contacts list on my phone. Also, I turned on Find My Phone on my laptop and it says my phone is turned off. I have been having the exact same problem for weeks now with gmail. None of my computers will send Gmail (they will recieve) and my Maverick computers (10.9.1) show gmail smtp.gmail.com as "offline". I had installed Post Box and apple support thought it was that i had too many accounts (I have 2 ipads, an iphone (latest iOs), a work and home iMac and a powerbook). I disabled all my gmail accounts in Mail and still no go from PostBox either . I tried connection doctor and it just spins for outgoing and say I either haveve the wrong pw or login - I dont. I terminaled and tested port 465 (according to gmail instructions) and it works (port 25 did not). I can access gmail from the webmail and send/recieve mail from it and it shows up in my webmail outbox. It is configured for imap.I just cannot send mail at all from any gmail account from any apple device using Mail (or PostBox). I am at a loss as was the apple support person who wished me good luck very politely and sympathetically.

My contacts were saved onto I Cloud but I don't have an Apple device to load them again.
I'm still paying off my stolen cell and am usiing a Nokia in the meantime.

You can download your contacts from icloud.com as a vCard, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3606. This can be used to import them to another service such as Google contacts. If your Nokia phone supports it, you could then set up your Gmail account on your phone and enable contacts syncing to view them on your phone.

I created a new i tunes account and I am trying to add music to my I pod touch but since I had an old account it will not let me add any new songs or let me transfer my existing songs to the new account. I also purchased one song and it did not download

The music that I purchased from an old account will not transfer to my new account & the old account email no longer exists it is (djbdeercreek613@com***t.net) and the password would not be accepted when we entered it. I also purchased one song "Country Must Be Country Wide" By Brentley Gilbert and it did not download to my i-pod. please let me know how I can get this problem taken care of.

Apple IDs do not go out of existence. All purchases are PERMANENTLY associated with whatever ID was used for the purchase. Go here to investigate.

I have an iPod Touch (4th generation) and I am not able to get the new Apple iOS 5 software update...

I need some assistance with downloading the new iOS 5 software for my iPod touch 4th generation (32GB). Once connected, my iTunes says that a newer version is available and when I click on "update," the standard boxes appear and when i click on "download and update," it appears to download just as expected, but after a few minutes, an error box pops up and says that my "network connection timed out" and to "try again later"...
I have tried to get around this in every which way possible, but the same error box pops up each time. I have checked AND double checked my network and its connections and I am 100 percent sure they are stable. I have downloaded the latest version of iTunes (10.5). I even re-installed it, just in case. I have also tried clicking the "download only" option instead of "download and update"... No different.
In previous discussions, I have inferred that having my media on an external hard drive may cause some issues...? If this is the case, please note that all my media is on an external hard drive that connects to my computer via USB.
I am looking for any and all advice to help resolve this issue as the my warrenty has expired and I do not want to pay for Apple Support. : ) plus, iOS 5 looks so cool and I really really want it!!!!

We have bm36 (NW6) working flawlessly for the last 3-4 years. Its Nat'd to
our webacess server (nw6.5 and gw7.02) on another box - until today.
This week we changed ISP's received new public IP and new A records.
The problem we are having is that today remote users cannot access the
webacccess server.
with the filters off (unload ipflt) i can ping the box. DNSstuff traces
everything to the Ip as well.
On the inside I can access webaccess from a browser.
Yes, i have checked that the secondary ip is correct. I looked at the
existing filters and changed them accordingly for the new public Ip. Email
is being deliverd on the new configuration without a problem.
What gives?
Oh by the way, it might get worse, im scheduled to leave on holiday on
friday! Maybe not!

Problem here. Filter exceptions for natted machines *never* go to the
public IP, but to the private one. That said, if the public IP chnages,
absolutely *no* changes to filters affecting natted machines are
necessary.

My MacBook pro completely froze while I was using safari and after a force shutdown now on startup reaches apple logo screen but goes no further. What could cause this?

While browsing on safari earlier today I had about 10 tabs open some with YouTube.
I was on a flash website browsing and the system froze and the spinning wheel came Up on the mouse.
I tried to move the mouse to get to the force quit in safari but then the mouse froze too, after a minute I held down the power button and turned off the laptop.
Now I tried to turn it back on, it turns on and loads up as far as the white screen with the grey apple logo and goes no further?
What does this mean, how can I solve it? I'm in panic as all of my school notes are on it, any help or advice would be muh appreciated!

Do you have backups of all the data on the startup drive? If not, do nothing else until you've backed up that data, if you still can.
