I dont know what you mean with "close your iphone" ??? I have a new problem... according to my 3G provider the humidity button is on, I SWEAR IT DIDNT GOT WET!!! how is that possible!!! Im so sad because they sad I have to buy another one also Im not as sure as I was before respect to a Iphone rules... what If this happens again? I was sooo happy with my iphone until this happens... I tried updating my iPod, and ever since it has not worked at all. If I hold in the lock & home button, it will tell me to plug it into iTunes. Once I do that, it says it will restore but every time, restoring it fails. My iPod is not working at all, and I really have no idea what to do. It is just a black screen, and occasionally the white apple will appear as if it were turning on, but it won't turn on. I just need some suggestions on what to do!
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

while i tried to upgrade it, it shows white and blue screen, i cant see the apple with the progress of upgrading. please help meAhh! You've suffered from two problems: Windows 7 and Impatience!
Turn off all security software and open all firewalls in Windows, restart everything and then try re-entering DFU from the start.

I recently upgraded to the 5s, so I delegated my old iPhone 4 to a music player/daughter checking instagram and email. Three days ago I plugged the iPhone 4 into iTunes to update it, the OS began updating. During the update my computer went into sleep mode, interrupting the OS update. Now the phone will not do anything but show the screen with the graphic indicating to plug the phone into iTunes. I've tried a hard reset (holding down power button/home button), plugging the phone into iTunes before/during holding down the home button, holding down the buttons for various lengths of time in various permutations according to info I've found online, etc, and nothing happens beyond a brief showing of the Apple logo and then back to the same screen. iTunes will make a connection noise when the phone is plugged in but otherwise makes no indication that a device is plugged in (no iPhone button in the tool bar, etc.). Any ideas or do I need to take it to an actual Apple store and hope they don't tell me it is completely bricked?
Yep, done all that. Repeatly. Don't get any sort of recovery mode message or the phone showing up on iTunes at all. iTunes is most current version, all diagnostics show everything fine, and it works fine with my current phone. Just....nothing.

Yesterday I tried upgrading my iPhone 5 to 8.3. Phone told me not enough storage so deleted some stuff and proceeded. It then had a circle going round and round and wouldn't do the upgrade. I had to restart my phone a couple of times but it seemed ok. This morning went out with it 100% charged. Noticed it wasn't getting any phone signal so attempted a restart. Since then all i get is the apple logo on a black screen for a few seconds then it goes and nothing else happens.
I have tried leaving the phone in. Tried turning the volume switch on and off then restarting. Tried plugging it in to computer to do a recovery from iTunes but it's not showing on iTunes (which is up to date). Does this mean it's completely dead? It's infuriating as I'm a month away from a free upgrade from O2!!!
Any ideas gratefully received.what you do is you put your phone into DFU mode, you do this by powering off your phone and then, hold home and sleep button, the apple logo will come up after it goes away let go of sleep button and hold home until it says connect to iTunes. This should work, it will give you the option to restore or back up your phone.

The music on my iPhone 4 is not working. There are red dots next to the selections and no sound occurs when they are touched.
Can you play those songs in iTunes on your computer?
Make sure they are all part of your iTunes library before you sync and that they were bought with the same AppleID you use on your phone. -

My Iphones sound is not working.
It is not the switch on the side or any silent settings. My Iphone 4 alerts are just not working I have everything turned up as loud as it will go and nothing works! Help please!
To be honest these are the solutions that may or may not work.
First thing I would try is rebooting the phone by holding the sleep/wake button and home button for 15 seconds until you see the white apple logo.
If that doesn't work I would restore from backup. If that doesn't work I would restore as new. If all else fails take it to your closest apple store they may replace the phone for a working one.. -

1. I tried connecting it to itunes for a system reset and it didnt work.
2. The phone wont even turn on!!!If the phone wont turn on it sounds like it needs to be charged. Plug it into a charger and wait about 15 minutes and try turning it on while still charging. Have you tried holding in your home button with the on/off button held in? Hold them both together until the apple logo comes up and then release them. The screen will blink off an on while it is resetting. I still think this is a battery issue. Good luck~

When I go to compile the app the compiler inserts that line into my descriptor at the very bottom (just before the application tag closes). It's weird, I tried setting the <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/2.7"> back to 2.6 and it works and seems to compile in 2.7 (as I noticed the timer bug).
Anyway, I only tried 2.7 because I heard the GPU fullscreen bug had been fixed, but given that the timer issue still remains I'll go back to 2.6 for the time being.

IPhone 5s GPS not working correctly
GPS on my iPhone 5s does not work properly with the cover. I have the cover from apple itself. Does anyone else have the same problem ? If yes , what needs to be done ??
Inside it cannot possible get a GPS signal to receive, so no coordinates. If your iPhone 4 has previously been used outside where it could get a decent GPS signal, then it is simply displaying the last known GPS fix. If the store's iPhone 5S has never been used outside, then its initial GPS fix may take several minutes, to locate and lock onto available satellite signals, and then only with a clear and unobstructed view of the open sky.
To answer your basic question, just look at the tech specs for the iPhone 5S - yes, it has a GPS chipset. But to receive signal from the satellites, you'll need to be outside under an open sky. The signals are quite weak and do not penetrate buildings or much of any overhead structure that obstructs the skyview.
